Abstract

Student Worksheet (LKPD) is a learning tool that has a role in activating students in the learning process. This training aims to introduce technology that can support practicum as an optimization of the implementation of Physics practicum activities by utilizing the Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite application. The methods used in this activity include socialization, lectures, and discussions. Participants in this activity were Physics teachers totaling 46 people. This activity was conducted in three meetings. Participants received an introduction to the various features of the Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite application at the first meeting. Expert lecturers guided the trainees in the application of the tool in the second meeting. After receiving guidance, the trainees were directed to make the LKPD which would then be presented at the third meeting. This training produced six LKPDs with six different Physics materials. The results of the LKPD assessment by experts showed a very positive view of the quality of the LKPD. LKPD generated in this training is considered to have fulfilled all indicators of Science Process Skills (KPS). Through this activity, it can be concluded that the KPS-based LKPD assisted by the Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite application can be a practicum tool that facilitates the implementation of Physics practicum in schools that do not have or lack practicum tools. It is recommended that the use of laboratories and virtual laboratories can be conducted continuously to support Physics learning.

Abstract

This study examines the critical role of interactive e-modules in enhancing physics learning in senior high schools by identifying the pedagogical and technical needs of both students and teachers. A descriptive survey design employing a mixed-methods approach was used, integrating quantitative data from student questionnaires with qualitative insights obtained through teacher interviews. The participants consisted of 46 Grade XI students from a senior high school in Nganjuk and eight physics teachers who actively integrate technology into their instructional practices. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The findings indicate a clear need for innovative instructional media. Although 52% of students reported an interest in physics, 48% reported difficulties understanding key concepts, highlighting the need for more accessible, interactive learning approaches. Notably, 85% of students preferred digital learning media, such as e-modules and instructional videos, over traditional textbooks, and 61% reported using digital devices daily for learning. Most students perceived e-modules as beneficial, particularly valuing features that provide clearer explanations and interactive elements, including animations and videos. Teachers corroborated the effectiveness of e-modules in facilitating the comprehension of abstract physics concepts but emphasized the need for systematic training and improved technical infrastructure to ensure effective implementation. In conclusion, the development of interactive e-modules is essential for enhancing student engagement, fostering higher-order thinking skills (HOTS), and promoting self-regulated learning (SRL). Therefore, this study recommends that educational institutions prioritize targeted teacher-training programs and infrastructure development to support the optimal and sustainable integration of e-modules into physics education.

Abstract

Landslides are one of the most frequent natural disasters in Indonesia, primarily caused by complex topographic conditions, high rainfall intensity, and extensive land use changes. This study aimed to map landslide-susceptibility areas in Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java, using the K-Means Clustering and Self-Organizing Map (SOM) methods, visualized through a Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The data utilized include Landsat 8 satellite imagery for calculating the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Normalized Difference Built-up Index (NDBI) indices, elevation and slope data derived from Digital Elevation Model (DEM), and 2024 rainfall data from the Indonesian Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG). Each variable was classified into five categories based on gridcode values to facilitate spatial analysis. The clustering results revealed two main groups, with the first cluster showing higher landslide potential due to a combination of steep slopes, moderate rainfall, and a high level of urban development. This cluster recorded a Silhouette Coefficient value of 0.75, indicating a high level of landslide vulnerability. In contrast, the other cluster represented more stable terrain, with a Silhouette Coefficient of 0.72. This study is expected to serve as a reference for developing disaster risk-based spatial planning and mitigation strategies.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the readability of a POGIL-based interactive e-module on heat for 12th-grade students. This study is urgent due to the abstract nature of heat concepts in physics and the increasing use of digital learning resources, which require instructional materials that are not only technologically advanced but also readable and pedagogically effective. The research employed a descriptive survey with a quantitative approach, collecting data via a questionnaire designed to assess three main aspects of the e-module: format, language, and content. A purposive sampling technique was employed, selecting 33 students who had previously studied the heat topic and had experience with e-modules. The data obtained were analyzed using a Likert scale to evaluate the effectiveness and practicality of the e-module. The results showed that the e-module received high ratings across all aspects, with an overall average score of 91.89%, categorizing it as “Very Practical.” The format aspect scored 90.06%, indicating that the e-module's design and structure were user-friendly and supported comprehension. The language aspect scored 92.73%, reflecting the clarity and simplicity of the language used. The content aspect scored 92.88%, indicating that the e-module effectively enhanced student engagement and understanding of the material. Overall, the study concludes that the e-module is a highly effective learning resource and is recommended for future instructional use.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) model with group role division in improving students' conceptual understanding. The research problem focuses on CPS learning that previously did not apply role division, resulting in uneven group activities. This study uses a mixed method with an embedded experimental design, where quantitative data is the main focus through concept comprehension tests, while qualitative data in the form of observations of student activities is used to reinforce the analysis results. Quantitative data analysis was performed using statistical techniques, both descriptive and inferential, to see trends, differences, or relationships between variables, while qualitative data was analyzed through reduction, categorization, and interpretation processes. The results showed that the experimental group experienced a higher increase in cognitive ability compared to the control group. The effect size value of 0.7 indicates that the effect of CPS based on group role division is moderate. Furthermore, observations show that the group roles in the experimental class were more active and responsible than those in the control group. These findings confirm that integrating CPS with effective group role sharing improves student learning outcomes and cognitive abilities, particularly in understanding complex physics topics.
