Abstract

This study developed a Google Sites–based digital learning medium to enhance Civic Education learning for grade V elementary school students. Preliminary analysis revealed that learning was still dominated by teacher-centred methods, limited media use, and low student engagement, indicating the need for interactive digital resources. The study aimed to produce a valid, practical, and effective learning medium for the topic “Norma dalam Kehidupanku.” Using the ADDIE development model, the research followed a systematic procedure comprising needs analysis, media design, digital content development, expert validation, limited implementation, revision, and final evaluation. Participants included grade V teachers and students from three public elementary schools in Padang. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and pretest–posttest assessments, and analyzed using percentage scores and N-Gain. Results showed very high validity (93.89%), teacher practicality (99.17%), and student practicality (87.82%). Effectiveness testing demonstrated significant improvement in learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 78.9 (pretest) to 96.6 (posttest) and an N-Gain of 0.90 (high category). These findings confirm that Google Sites–based media effectively support interactive, accessible, and contextual Civic Education learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru sekolah dasar dalam melestarikan budaya lokal melalui pelatihan alat musik tradisional talempong pacik serta penguatan pendidikan karakter melalui storytelling pencegahan pelecehan. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya pemahaman guru dalam mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dan pendidikan karakter ke dalam pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan pada 20–21 Juli 2024 di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman melalui metode penyuluhan, workshop, dan pendampingan intensif yang mengombinasikan teori dan praktik. Guru dilatih memainkan talempong pacik sebagai media pembelajaran seni budaya sekaligus dibekali keterampilan storytelling untuk menanamkan nilai perlindungan diri pada siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru, baik dalam memainkan talempong pacik maupun dalam menyampaikan materi pencegahan pelecehan secara komunikatif. Secara kualitatif, guru menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dan mampu mengimplementasikan hasil pelatihan dalam pembelajaran. Siswa juga memberikan respons positif, terutama dalam meningkatkan kesadaran budaya dan pemahaman tentang perlindungan diri. Program ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pelestarian budaya lokal serta penguatan karakter siswa, sehingga direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan secara berkelanjutan di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Kasus pelecehan terhadap anak usia sekolah dasar di Indonesia menunjukkan tren yang mengkhawatirkan, sementara literasi guru dalam upaya pencegahan masih relatif rendah. Guru belum sepenuhnya memahami bentuk pelecehan, tanda-tanda perilaku korban, serta strategi edukasi perlindungan diri yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menerapkan metode storytelling sebagai strategi preventif pencegahan pelecehan pada siswa sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan, workshop, dan pendampingan intensif yang dilaksanakan pada 11–13 Agustus 2025 dengan mengintegrasikan penyampaian materi, praktik bercerita, analisis kasus, dan simulasi pembelajaran. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest menggunakan instrumen terstruktur untuk mengukur peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan cerita edukatif berbasis perlindungan diri. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan skor pemahaman guru dari 63 menjadi 85 dan keterampilan storytelling dari 65 menjadi 85, yang mencerminkan peningkatan kompetensi pedagogis dan protektif. Siswa juga menunjukkan respons positif melalui peningkatan pemahaman tentang area tubuh pribadi dan kemampuan mengungkapkan ketidaknyamanan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa storytelling merupakan pendekatan efektif dan ramah anak untuk pencegahan pelecehan di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Dalam bidang pendidikan, pendekatan evaluasi pembelajaran yang menggunakan teknologi digital semakin menjadi hal yang penting karena kemajuan dalam bidang teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis digital diterapkan di sekolah dasar. Ini mencakup proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan, serta kelebihan dan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh guru dan siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan observasi lapangan di sepuluh sekolah dasar yang berada di Sumatera Barat dan DKI Jakarta. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara dengan para guru, dan dokumentasi tentang penggunaan media evaluasi yang berbasis digital. Temuan dari penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa guru telah memanfaatkan berbagai platform digital seperti Wordwall, Educaplay, Quizizz, Kahoot, Blooket, dan Google Form di dalam proses evaluasi belajar. Penggunaan media digital terbukti mampu mendorong motivasi, partisipasi, dan keterlibatan siswa dalam kegiatan evaluasi tersebut. Namun, pelaksanaan evaluasi yang berbasis digital masih mengalami beberapa kendala, termasuk keterbatasan perangkat, masalah jaringan internet, serta kebutuhan dukungan awal bagi siswa yang belum terbiasa dengan teknologi digital. Oleh karena itu, untuk memastikan evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis digital berjalan efektif, perlu adanya dukungan dari kesiapan guru, akses pada teknologi yang memadai, dan pendekatan pendampingan yang sesuai.

Abstract

Penerapan evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis digital di sekolah dasar masih menunjukkan perbedaan tingkat pemanfaatan dan efektivitas antar satuan pendidikan, sehingga perlu dikaji secara empiris melalui observasi lapangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan efektivitas evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis digital di sekolah dasar serta mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi dalam implementasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian meliputi guru dan peserta didik pada sembilan sekolah dasar di beberapa kabupaten/kota, sedangkan objek penelitian adalah penggunaan media evaluasi digital seperti Quizizz, Google Form, Kahoot, Wordwall, Educaplay, dan Gimkit. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media evaluasi digital mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik, mempercepat proses penilaian, serta membantu guru dalam pengolahan hasil evaluasi pembelajaran. Namun, kendala masih ditemukan berupa keterbatasan akses internet, kesiapan sarana dan prasarana, serta literasi digital guru dan peserta didik yang belum merata. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis digital efektif diterapkan di sekolah dasar apabila didukung oleh infrastruktur yang memadai dan peningkatan kompetensi digital guru secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Augmented Reality learning media assisted by Assemblr Edu and to examine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving the motivation and critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students in Natural Sciences (IPAS). The low level of students’ motivation and critical thinking skills is mainly caused by the limited use of innovative learning media. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research instruments include validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and critical thinking tests. Data analysis techniques involve quantitative analysis using descriptive statistics in percentage form to determine the validity and practicality of the media, as well as the N-Gain test to measure the improvement in critical thinking skills, along with qualitative analysis from observations, interviews, and expert feedback. The results show that the developed media achieved a validity score of 96% (very valid), practicality scores of 96.6% from teachers and 96.30% from students (very practical), and an N-Gain score of 0.719 (high effectiveness). These findings indicate that the Augmented Reality media assisted by Assemblr Edu is feasible, practical, and effective in supporting interactive and meaningful learning in elementary schools

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that low learning activities also affect student learning outcomes in science learning in elementary schools. Students are less active in the learning process, both in expressing opinions, asking questions, and constructing their own knowledge. Students tend to wait for direction from the teacher, and only a few are actively involved in group discussions. One effort that can be done is to use the CTL learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the CTL learning model on learning activities and student learning outcomes in the ecosystem material in cluster II Sungai Penuh.The type of research used Is Quasi Experimental. The research population was students of Elementary School Cluster II Sungai Penuh. The sample of this research was students of class Va SDN 025/XI Gedang Village Sungai Penuh as the experimental class and students of class Vb SDN 001/XI Sungai Penuh as the control class. The instruments used in this research were learning activity questionnaires and learning outcome test sheets. The data analysis technique used prerequisite tests in the form of normality and homogeneity tests. Meanwhile, to test the hypothesis using an independent t test. To determine the relationship between learning activities and learning outcomes, a correlation test was carried out. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of the CTL learning model on learning activities and student learning outcomes on ecosystem material in cluster II of the full river. The details of the data analysis results are: (1) The CTL learning model improves student learning outcomes by linking lesson materials to everyday life so that concepts are easier to understand, as evidenced by the results of the study which obtained a significance value of 0.000 for the posttest. By taking a significance value of 5%, it is concluded that H0 of this study is rejected, while H1 is accepted, meaning that there is an influence of the CTL learning model on student learning activities. (2) The CTL learning model improves student learning activities, as seen from active involvement in discussions and completing assignments, as evidenced by the results of the study which obtained a significance value of 0.000 for the posttest. By taking a significance value of 5%, it is concluded that H0 of this study is rejected, while H1 is accepted, meaning that there is an influence of the CTL learning model on student learning outcomes. (3) There is an influence of learning activities on student learning outcomes by using the CTL learning model. This increase in learning activities contributes to an increase in learning outcomes, showing a positive influence between the two.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited use of interactive multimedia in science learning in elementary schools, resulting in suboptimal student engagement and the development of computational thinking skills. The textbook-dominated learning process results in students being less active and having difficulty understanding concepts in depth. Therefore, the use of interactive multimedia based on Google Sites is expected to increase student motivation, understanding, and active participation. The purpose of this research is to develop interactive multimedia based on Google Sites in fifth-grade science learning in elementary schools that is highly valid, practical, and effective in improving students' computational thinking skills. The method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects consisted of fifth-grade teachers and students at SDN 11 Lubuk Buaya and SDN Percobaan in Padang City, West Sumatra. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and computational thinking tests. Data analysis techniques included validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests. The practicality test was conducted in class VB at SDN 11 Lubuk Buaya with 17 students and class VB at SDN Percobaan with 24 students, and 2 class teachers in each class. The effectiveness test was conducted in class VA at SDN Percobaan with 23 students as the control class and class VB as the experimental class. The validation results showed a score of 90% from the material experts, 93% from the language experts, and 81% from the design experts, categorizing it as very valid. The practicality test obtained a score of 95% from the teachers and 92% from the students, categorizing it as very practical. The effectiveness test showed that the experimental class achieved an average score of 87.44 (effective), while the control class achieved 58.88 (moderately effective). Thus, the Google Site-based interactive multimedia was declared very valid, very practical, and effective as an alternative learning medium for science studies in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop valid, practical, and effective Macromedia Flash-based interactive multimedia to improve elementary school students’ computational thinking skills on the topic of Indonesian Cultural Wealth. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The participants were fourth-grade students of SDN 05 Sawahan and SDN 01 Sawahan, Padang Timur District. The results showed that the developed multimedia was highly valid, with validation scores of 90.48% from material experts, 90.79% from language experts, and 87.50% from media experts. The practicality test indicated very practical criteria, with teacher and student response scores of 89.28% and 91.08%, respectively. The effectiveness test revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores in the experimental class (t = 15.499 > 1.711; Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05), indicating an improvement in students’ computational thinking skills. The N-gain results were 0.64 for the experimental class and 0.48 for the control class, both categorized as medium. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of computational thinking components—decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking—into interactive multimedia through animations, simulations, and educational games tailored to elementary school students. Therefore, the developed multimedia can serve as an effective learning medium in elementary education.

Abstract

This conceptual study explores the theoretical and practical dimensions of learning assessment in elementary education by integrating assessment principles, techniques, and instruments within a unified conceptual framework. Employing a literature review approach, this research synthesizes relevant studies published between 2020 and 2025 from reputable international and national journals to examine current trends and challenges in assessment practices. The findings indicate a significant paradigm shift from traditional product-oriented assessments to formative and authentic assessments that emphasize learning as a reflective and continuous process. Core principles such as validity, reliability, authenticity, and continuity are identified as critical in ensuring fairness, accuracy, and meaningfulness of learning evaluations. Furthermore, the integration of test-based and non-test techniques, alongside the application of digital and authentic instruments, enhances the comprehensiveness and adaptability of assessment implementation in various educational contexts. Despite these advancements, challenges persist in teacher assessment literacy, technological readiness, and the contextual adaptation of assessment practices across diverse school settings. The study concludes by proposing a theoretical model that positions assessment not merely as a tool for measurement but as a pedagogical instrument that fosters reflection, student engagement, and competency-based learning aligned with 21st-century educational goals.
