Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi digital masyarakat Desa Sungai Duren, Muaro Jambi, agar mampu memanfaatkan teknologi digital secara efektif, aman, dan bertanggung jawab. Program ini menekankan penggunaan internet, media sosial, layanan perbankan digital, serta praktik keamanan informasi untuk mencegah risiko digital. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi pelatihan langsung, simulasi penggunaan teknologi, dan pendampingan praktis, sehingga peserta memperoleh pengalaman aplikatif dan pemahaman yang komprehensif. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan digital, pengurangan kesalahan penggunaan teknologi, dan meningkatnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan ekonomi, sosial, dan pelayanan publik berbasis digital. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi pondasi keberlanjutan literasi digital, mendorong kemandirian masyarakat, serta memperkuat kesejahteraan dan kapasitas adaptasi masyarakat terhadap perkembangan teknologi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze development of Life Expectancy, Poverty Level, Education Level, and GRDP per capita Life Expectancy in Jambi Province during period 2010-2024 and The Influence of Poverty Level, Education Level, and GRDP per capita on Life Expectancy in Jambi Province from 2010-2024. The method used in this study is a descriptive and quantitative method in the form of secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency of Jambi Province from 2010-2024 with a Panel Data Regression analysis tool processed using Eviews 12. The results of this study with panel data regression analysis with the best model selected is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) shows that the variables Poverty Level, Education Level and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP per capita) have a significant influence on Life Expectancy in Jambi Province.

Abstract

The Family Hope Program (PKH) is a conditional social assistance program designed to reduce poverty in Indonesia, including in Budiman Village, East Jambi District, Jambi City, which has the largest number of PKH beneficiary families in the city. This study aims to analyze the socio-economic characteristics of the heads of beneficiary households, examine family consumption patterns, and investigate the relationship between the amount of PKH assistance and household expenditure while controlling for income. A quantitative-descriptive approach supported by qualitative data was employed. The study involved 88 respondents selected through proportional random sampling from a population of 113 beneficiary families, complemented by in-depth interviews with beneficiaries and PKH facilitators. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, simple linear regression based on the Keynesian consumption function, and partial correlation analysis. The findings indicate that most household heads are women with an average age of 53 years, characterized by low educational attainment and employment in the informal sector. Household income has a positive and significant effect on family expenditure, indicating that consumption increases as income rises, although the tendency to consume declines proportionally at higher income levels, reflecting a subsistence consumption pattern. Furthermore, the relationship between PKH assistance and household expenditure, after controlling for income, is weak and statistically insignificant, suggesting that PKH serves as a complementary source of financial support rather than the primary determinant of household spending. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening the economic empowerment component of PKH to improve the long-term welfare and financial independence of beneficiary families.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and contribution of regional tax components to the Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) of Merangin Regency during the period 2010-2024. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method using secondary data obtained from the Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency (BPPRD) and the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Merangin Regency. The analysis was conducted using effectiveness and contribution ratios. The results indicate that the effectiveness of regional taxes was dominated by the very effective category, particularly Restaurant Tax 114.35%, Advertisement Tax 111.51%, and Street Lighting Tax 101.97%. In contrast, Entertainment Tax 30.15% and Swiftlet Nest Tax 12.07% were classified as ineffective. In terms of contribution to total regional tax revenue, Street Lighting Tax provided the highest average contribution of 69.80%, categorized as very good, while the contributions of other tax types remained very low. Regarding PAD, Street Lighting Tax also contributed the most with an average contribution of 49.06%, categorized as good, whereas the contributions of other tax components were still classified as very low. The study concludes that although several regional tax components have demonstrated high effectiveness, regional tax revenue in Merangin Regency remains heavily dependent on Street Lighting Tax, indicating that the contributions of most other regional taxes to both regional tax revenue and PAD have not yet been optimized.

Abstract

Extreme poverty in Jambi Province, especially in Kota Baru District with 765 extremely poor households, is a serious challenge. This study analyzes the economic, social, demographic characteristics and income determinants of extremely poor households. Using a quantitative approach, descriptive-explanatory design, primary data from a structured questionnaire on 88 respondents (Cluster Random Sampling from a population of 765 heads of families) and secondary data from BPS and local agencies. Multiple linear regression analysis EViews 12 tested the influence of education, age, dependents, working hours, occupations that passed the classical assumption. The results showed that education (β = 63,817.27, p = 0.000), dependents (β = 45,743.35, p = 0.004), working hours (β = 61,769.63, p = 0.063) had a significant positive effect; age had a significant negative effect (β = -8,326.75, p = 0.003); employment was not significant (p=0.148), explaining 70.4% of the variance in income (R²=0.704). The conclusion recommends vocational training and flexible work policies to alleviate poverty
