Studies concerning the use of attitude resources in students’ writing have been conducted by researchers. However, limited attention has been given to investigate how resources of attitude are used in a hybrid genre, such as blog. This paper aims at reporting how attitude resources are realized in students’ tourism blogs. 10 tourism blogs written by the seventh-semester students of English Education Department, taking English for Tourism course were purposively selected as the source of data. These data were chosen because their topics were about tourist attractions in Bali. The data were analyzed by following appraisal language analysis theory. The results show that appreciation and affect resources were used by the students in their blogs. However, the resources used by the students were basic and repetitive words. This study suggests English instructors provide explicit teaching of attitudinal words that the students can use when they are writing tourism blogs.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk medeskripsikan (1) Penggunaan media pembelajaran daring dalam pengenalan huruf hiragana dan katakana, (2) Persepsi siswa terkait dengan penggunaan media pembelajaran daring. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket, observasi, dan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Penggunaan media pembelajaran daring berupa video, powerpoint, dan gambar melalui platform aplikasi WhatsApp efektif digunakan dalam pengenalan huruf hiragana dan katakana. (2) Persepsi siswa terkait dengan penggunaan media pembelajaran daring termasuk ke dalam kriteria positif yaitu dengan perolehan skor rata-rata respon siswa 3,37.

This research aims to analyze onomatopoeia in ANIME BANGDREAM SEASON 1. This research is a linguistic research using descriptive qualitative method. The theory used is semantic theory. The data collection method used is the listening method and note-taking technique, the data used is anime. Then to prove the validity of the data, the triangulation method was used. The onomatopoeia data found is divided into 3 types. Gitai-go onomatopoeia was found in 2 sentences, Gijou-go onomatopoeia was found in 6 sentences, Giyou-go onomatopoeia was found in 2 sentences. The most widely used onomatopoeia in the anime is gijou-go onomatopoeia which has the characteristics of describing psychological states or human feelings, while gitai-go and giyou-go onomatopoeia are very rarely found in their unique use.

This study aims to identify and find out the parenting style of the character Daikichi in the film Usagi Drop. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subject of this research is the character Daikichi in the film Usagi Drop. The analysis techniques used in this research are data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. This research use data collection as the method to observe and analyze Daikichi by notes and data cards. The result of this research is parenting style that can be grouped into 1) Taking part in children's activities, 2) Instilling disciplinary values, 3) Prioritizing time together.

The goals of this study were to investigate how employing the Crossword Puzzle media-assisted group work strategy affected the Japanese language abilities and motivation of class XI students at SMAN 1 Nusa Penida and to gauge the reactions of the students after they had used the approach. Quantitative research using a Quasi Experimental Design was employed for this study. 198 students from SMAN 1 Nusa Penida's 11th grade comprised the sample for this research. Thirty students from Class XI IBB 1 served as the study's experimental group, while another 30 students from Class XI IBB 2 served as the study's control group. Various forms of testing and surveying were employed to glean the necessary information. The results demonstrated that the experimental class, which was assigned the crossword puzzle media-assisted group work method, outperformed the control class in terms of Japanese language proficiency and motivation. The Sig. (2-Tailed) posttest result of 0.000 < 0.05 from the Independent Sample T-Test hypothesis test provides supporting evidence for this. According on the survey data, pupils who used the Crossword Puzzle medium gave an overall favorable answer of 93.6% in the Strongly Agree/Good/Satisfied/Like category. As a result, we may infer that the method of group work aided by the Crossword Puzzle medium can have a beneficial effect on the development of students' Japanese language competence and motivation.

This study aims to analyze students' learning difficulties in learning Japanese in class XI Language SMA Negeri 2 Singaraja in terms of internal and external factors. The method used is descriptive quantitative method. The population in this study amounted to 68 students of class XI Language. The sample in this study was 59 students of class XI Language. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire. The results showed that there were learning difficulties experienced by students of class XI Language in terms of internal factors and external factors. On the internal factor of the motivational aspect with a percentage value of 61%, on the interest aspect with a percentage value of 56%, and on the attitude aspect with a percentage value of 57%, which means that the three values ​​are in the unfavorable criteria. The external factor is the learning difficulties of class XI language students in terms of the school environment with a percentage value of 59%, which means that the indicators on aspects of the school environment are in the unfavorable criteria. But there are no difficulties in aspects of the family environment. Therefore, it can be concluded that there are students' learning difficulties in learning Japanese in class XI Language in terms of internal factors and external factors.

Minat merupakan salah satu faktor yang sangat berpengaruh dalam aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Minat siswa yang kurang terhadap pembelajaran, tentu membuat pelajaran sulit diterima oleh siswa, sehingga berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar setiap siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan minat belajar siswa dan menguraikan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Jepang kelas XI IBB di SMA Negeri 2 Singaraja. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, kuesioner, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Indikator minat belajar siswa kelas XI IBB di SMA Negeri 2 Singaraja memiliki 68,13% minat tinggi terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Jepang. (2) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat belajar kelas XI IBB di SMA Negeri 2 Singaraja yaitu faktor internal yang berpengaruh positif adalah motivasi, cita-cita dan kesehatan. Faktor eksternal yang berpengaruh positif adalah faktor keluarga, teman, guru dan sekolah.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan penggunaan partikel kasus oleh siswa kelas XII BB2. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, tes, dan wawancara yang kemudian dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas XII BB2 tidak memperhatikan makna kalimat secara menyeluruh. Hal tersebut sering kali mengakibatkan siswa mengalami kekeliruan maupun kesalahan dalam menjawab soal. Dalam hal ini, sebagian besar siswa tidak hanya melihat partikel yang digunakan saja tetapi mereka juga menjadikan kosakata sebelum partikel sebagai penentunya. Adapun partikel yang paling mendominasi kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa adalah partikel kasus direktif e dengan persentase kesalahan sebesar 90,20%. Berdasarkan argumentasi siswa, adapun faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya kesalahan dalam penggunaan partikel oleh siswa yaitu karena siswa kesulitan dalam memahami fungsi dan penggunaan dari partikel yang berbeda-beda, sehingga mereka cenderung melihat sebagian makna kalimat yang dipahaminya saja.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jenis dan kelas kata yang dimiliki oleh wasei eigo yang terdapat pada majalah JJ edisi April 2020. Subjek yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah majalah JJ yang terbit pada bulan April 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan kartu data sebagai alat untuk menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam majalah JJ edisi April 2020 ditemukan 24 buah wasei eigo dengan rincian sebagai berikut : imizukareta sebanyak 4 buah, tanshukukata sebanyak 15 buah, kumiawaseikata to eigohyougenfuzaikata sebanyak 4 buah, dan tidak ditemukan jenis junwaseikata. Selain itu ditemukan gabungan jenis tanshukukata dan imizukareta sebanyak 1 buah. Kemudian kelas kata dalam bahasa Jepang yang dimiliki wasei eigo pada majalah JJ edisi April 2020 ditemukan 3 jenis dengan rincian sebagai berikut : wasei eigo jenis kata tunggal kelas kata nomina sebanyak 17 buah, wasei eigo jenis kata majemuk kelas kata nomina sebanyak 6 buah, dan wasei eigo jenis kata majemuk kelas kata adjektiva sebanyak 1 buah. Jenis wasei eigo yang paling dominan adalah tanshukukata karena terdapat modifikasi berupa pemangkasan suku kata yang bertujuan agar suku kata tersebut terlihat lebih modern, menarik, dan simpel.

This article discusses the use of the -ni shimasu pattern by beginner learners (1st year university students). The research purpose is described the uses of -ni shimasu pattern by beginner learners. The method is descriptive qualitative. The results are examples of students attaching nouns to the -ni shimasu pattern. Attaching adjectives are not used by students. The nouns used are related to food and drinks, transportation, clothing and accessories, and places. Students tend to provide example sentences by replacing nouns in the pattern without looking at the meaning formed from the sentence. In the use of nouns related to clothing and accessories, students use the theme of recycling in the example in Marugoto A2 basic level 1 as a reference. The results show students are already able to make example sentences using the -ni shimasu pattern but ignore the meaning of the sentence.
