Abstract

Saat ini Industri kakao di Indonesia terus mengalami penurunan jumlah produksi dan jumlah lahan. Hal ini diakibatkan oleh praktek produksi kakao yang dianggap kurang menguntungkan bagi Sebagian besar petani. Sehingga perlu dilakukan evaluasi penggunaan sumber-sumber daya dan energi serta performansi ekonomi dari aktivitas produksi kakao sehingga dapat dijadikan landasan dalam melakukan perbaikan dalam aktivitas budidaya petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penggunaan energi dan performansi ekonomi berdasarkan pendekatan siklus daur hidup produksi kakao di hulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode life cycle cost analysis (LCC) untuk mengevaluasi performansi ekonomi, serta Social-Life Cycle Analysis (S-LCA) untuk mengevaluasi dampak social. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mengelola 1 ha perkebunan kakao menggunakan sistem organik menghasilkan pendapatan dan laba bersih tertinggi bagi petani dibandingkan dengan sistem pemupukan kimia. Oleh karena itu, sistem pemupukan organik sangat dianjurkan untuk diterapkan secara luas, mengingat keunggulan lingkungan dan ekonominya. Sedangkan untuk penilaian dampak sosial, skor rata-rata dari kategori yang digunakan dalam analisis adalah 3,75. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa produksi kakao memiliki dampak sosial yang positif terhadap masyarakat sekitar, konsumen, dan pemerintah.

Abstract

In the pursuit of optimizing information systems and website development for PT. PVI (Renstra), an extensive analysis was conducted on the use of CMS WordPress supplemented with the Elementor add-on as the primary tool for website construction. This analysis sought to assess the feasibility and capabilities of Elementor basic in meeting Renstra's requirements. Various critical aspects were evaluated, including account creation, login and logout systems, as well as form display and integration. Elementor basic, while providing the convenience of a user-friendly drag-and-drop design interface, falls short of fully satisfying Renstra's needs. A significant challenge encountered was Elementor basic's inability to create a seamless account creation system integrated with login and logout features. This posed a hindrance for website users seeking to input data, as they were unable to smoothly implement login functionalities within Elementor basic. To address these challenges, several recommendations are proposed. Firstly, Renstra should consider upgrading to Elementor Pro, which offers an array of comprehensive features, including streamlined form integration and efficient account creation. Secondly, designing an efficient login system within Elementor Pro to enable users to effortlessly create accounts, log in, and access their work progress is paramount. Thirdly, meticulous attention should be given to integrating form submission and the Progress Bar to enable users to submit data effortlessly and view their progress directly on the website, eliminating the need for manual Progress Bar adjustments. Fourthly, leveraging Elementor Pro's additional design features can significantly enhance the website's overall appearance, ensuring it aligns with user requirements. Finally, Renstra should explore the development of supplementary features to enrich the user experience, such as enhanced work progress management, progress notifications for registered users, or more restricted access for specific users. Implementing these recommendations will enable PT. PVI to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their information system and website. This, in turn, will enable them to provide superior services to their users, enhance transparency in progress reporting, and ultimately achieve their goal of optimizing their corporate information system.

Abstract

Plastic is the dominant packaging used by the public, so it has the potential to damage the environment. It is necessary to synthesize raw materials for making plastics that are degraded by microorganisms, namely bioplastics. Bioplastics are packaging materials that are synthesized from natural raw materials so that they can be degraded in the environment. The raw material used is corncob because it is abundant and the benefits are not maximized. Research is needed to examine the stages of the production process and the characterization of bioplastics from corncob waste. The purpose of this study was to examine the stages of the production process and the characterization of bioplastics from corncob waste. This study used a laboratory experimental method with descriptive analysis. The production of bioplastics consists of the stages of making cellulose, cellulose acetate, and bioplastics using the solution casting method. The stages of cellulose isolation include hydrolysis, delignification, pulping, and bleaching, which showed an increase in cellulose content from 32.14% to 79.36%. Cellulose is acetylated to become cellulose acetate and has an acetyl content of 11.70 ± 0.40% with a yield of 121.16 ± 0.98%. The production of bioplastics uses a composition of cellulose acetate and chitosan at 50%:50% (w/w) successively. The resulting bioplastic has a thickness of 0.345 ± 0.024 mm, a density of 0.83 ± 0.03 g/cm3, a moisture content of 13.13%, a biodegradation value of 95.19%, a water resistance of 205.57%, and is transparent. The mechanical properties of bioplastics include a tensile strength of 22.3 N/m, an elongation of 21.11%, and a modulus of elasticity of 0.307 Mpa.

Abstract

Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch (OPEFB) is a type of solid waste from the palm oil processing industry. The components of OPEFB include cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin. OPEFB has a large cellulose content, so it possesses the potential to be used as a bioplastic material. The purpose of this research was to examine the stages of the bioplastics' production process and its characterization. The cellulose content of OPEFB as raw material and during the isolation process which includes hydrolysis, delignification, pulping, and bleaching are 39.59%, 56.00%, 59.85%, 61.48%, and 68.20%, respectively. Cellulose isolation produces α-cellulose content of 97.87%. The resulting cellulose acetate has an acetyl content of 25.93%. The bioplastics were then characterized to determine the effect of cellulose acetate, starch, chitosan, and glycerol on the physical and mechanical properties of the plastics. The results of the physical properties characterization include biodegradability, water absorption, and density with values of 78.73%, 38.26%, and 1.2% respectively. The results of the mechanical properties characterization include tensile strength, elongation, and modulus of elasticity with values of 0.729 MPa, 4.13%, and 17.5 MPa, respectively. The functional groups in the bioplastics, which are O-H, C-H, C-O, C=O, and N-H, are produced from the mixing process between cellulose acetate, starch, chitosan, and glycerol.

Abstract

Dalam situasi persaingan yang semakin ketat dalam industri furnitur, kualitas produk adalah salah satu faktor kunci yang harus diperhatikan oleh perusahaan. Agar produk dapat memenuhi standar kualitas yang tinggi, perusahaan harus menerapkan sistem pengendalian kualitas yang baik. CV. Ravindo merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur yang memproduksi furnitur. Adapun salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh CV. Ravindo saat ini yaitu masih ditemukannya produk cacat atau rusak selama proses produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis dan tingkat kecacatan yang ada pada produk furnitur jenis keranjang rotan beserta faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya produk cacat tersebut pada CV. Ravindo. Sehingga dapat disusun usulan perbaikan atau tindakan yang sebaiknya dilakukan oleh perusahaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan menggunakan metode Statistical Quality Control. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Jenis kecacatan yang sering terjadi pada bagian produksi keranjang rotan adalah cacat rapuh sebesar 49,22%, ketidaksesuaian warna 32,55%, dan anyaman kendur 18,23%; 2) Pengendalian kualitas yang dilakukan oleh CV. Ravindo masih belum terkontrol atau di luar batas kendali; 3) Faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya kecacatan pada produksi keranjang rotan adalah tenaga kerja, bahan baku rotan, metode produksi, dan lingkungan; 4) Usulan perbaikan atau tindakan yang sebaiknya dilakukan oleh CV. Ravindo meliputi peningkatan pengawasan di bagian produksi, peningkatan kualitas bahan baku, serta kelengkapan sarana prasarana yang dibutuhkan perusahaan.

Abstract

In the last few decades, global public awareness of preserving the environment has increased. Young consumers are also increasingly concerned about the environment by purchasing environmentally friendly products, such as plant-based milk. This research aims to see the influence of the green marketing mix on purchasing decisions for Oatside plant-based milk among students in Bandung. The independent variables consist of green product (X1), green price (X2), green place (X3), and green promotion (X4) with purchasing decisions (Y) as the dependent variable. Respondents consisted of 100 students in Bandung City. The method used is descriptive with multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that green product, green price, green place, and green promotion simultaneously have a significant influence on purchasing decisions using the f-test. Partially using the t-test, the green price variable (X2) has the most dominant influence on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

As the demand for efficient and cost-effective greenhouse microclimate surveillance has increased, we developed a microclimate surveillance system using microcontroller technology that automatically collects temperature and relative humidity data and transmits it to a cloud server for remote surveillance and data analysis. 1971 microclimate data points were acquired over a 20-day evaluation period, providing insights into greenhouse environmental conditions with a negative linear regression between air temperature and relative humidity within the greenhouse and an R-squared of 0.73. This illustrates the system’s ability to record and quantify environmental conditions data. Additionally, we derived a predictive model to manage microclimate conditions using the regression formula y = -6.12X + 238.33, where X represents the air temperature and y represents the relative humidity. All the results show that the acquired data can be used to make decisions to optimize plant growth. The prototype we developed can be an alternative option for small and medium-sized farms that need a greenhouse surveillance system to improve operational efficiency and reduce surveillance costs. The system can be further developed by implementing additional sensors to monitor light intensity, wind speed, or soil moisture and further data analysis models to optimize greenhouse management.

Abstract

Salted eggs are a popular product, but their fragile nature requires preservation methods. One such method is salting. The production process involves direct costs (raw materials and labor) and indirect costs. Minimizing production costs is crucial for maximizing profit and shaping the company's strategy.This study aims to compares the method of curing salted eggs using red bricks and ash with salting eggs using reverse osmosis technology. Reverse osmosis method is an innovative approach in salted egg production that replaces the traditional salting method. In this method, eggs are not soaked in a salt solution but processed using high-pressure equipment to remove water from the eggs and introduce salt into them. This allows for a reduction in the time required for the salted egg production process. The result showed that the Total cost of production per one product cycle with the reverse osmosis method has a lower cost than conventional methods of IDR.257.88. The red brick method has a total cost of IDR.993,401, and the method of ash rub was the highest, with a total cost of IDR.1.017.701.Therefore, the reverse osmosis method becomes the best salting method in a cost-efficient way and has better performance.

Abstract

Fluktuasi jumlah pelanggan di Kedai Kopi Lojjjik di tengah persaingan ketat menyoroti pentingnya loyalitas untuk stabilitas bisnis. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh lima dimensi kualitas pelayanan (SERVQUAL) terhadap loyalitas pelanggan. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan data dari kuesioner yang disebar kepada 120 responden dan dianalisis dengan regresi linier berganda. Hasil menunjukkan kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh signifikan secara simultan (Sig. F=0,000). Secara parsial, dimensi Empathy (paling dominan) dan Tangibles berpengaruh positif signifikan. Sebaliknya, Responsiveness berpengaruh negatif signifikan, sementara Reliability dan Assurance tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Model ini menjelaskan 39,1% variasi loyalitas pelanggan (Adj. R²=0,391). Disimpulkan bahwa loyalitas di Lojjjik lebih ditentukan oleh koneksi emosional dan kenyamanan fisik daripada aspek teknis, sehingga rekomendasi difokuskan pada penguatan kedua dimensi tersebut.

Abstract

The accelerating threats of climate change and environmental degradation require industries to adopt holistic and integrated solutions that go beyond conventional pollution control. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the integration between carbon credit systems and industrial wastewater management, viewed through the lens of chemical engineering and process optimization. It emphasizes how the synergistic deployment of carbon reduction technologies and wastewater treatment innovations can support global climate and water sustainability targets, particularly Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and 13 (Climate Action). By exploring both technological and policy frameworks—including the Paris Agreement, national emission regulations, and voluntary market mechanisms such as the Gold Standard and Verified Carbon Standard—this study outlines pathways for industries to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions while simultaneously improving water quality, recovering energy and nutrients, and enhancing economic returns through circular resource use. The paper also identifies key challenges in implementation, including verification complexity, regulatory gaps, and financial constraints, and proposes innovations such as modular bioelectrochemical systems, microalgae-based treatment for CO₂ fixation, and blockchain-enabled carbon credit verification. In doing so, it aims to provide a roadmap for climate-resilient and environmentally sound industrial transformation grounded in chemical engineering principles.
