Abstract

Ikan Nilem (Osteochilus hasselti) merupakan ikan asli perairan Indonesia dan merupakan salah satu dari ikan konsumsi air tawar yang hidup di sungai-sungai dan rawa-rawa. Budidaya ikan nilem ini menguntungkan dilihat dari sisi ekonomi, kelestarian lingkungan dan produksi budidaya. Kegiatan pembesaran ikan nilem memerlukan waktu yang relatif lama dan pertumbuhannya pun tidak maksimal. Percepatan pertumbuhan dapat dilakukan dengan mengaplikasikan Recombinant Ephinephelus lanceolatus Growth Hormone (rElGH), sehingga laju pertumbuhan akan berlangsung lebih cepat. Pada kegiatan pembesaran, belum diketahui dosis pemberian rElGH melalui perendaman yang tepat untuk memacu pertumbuhan ikan nilem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dosis rElGH untuk menghasilkan pertumbuhan ikan nilem yang terbaik. Manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan informasi tentang pertumbuhan ikan nilem yang diberi rElGH melalui perendaman dengan dosis berbeda. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai Mei 2020 selama 40 hari di Laboratorium Teknologi Budidaya, Fakultas Perikanan dan Kelautan, Universitas Riau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan 5 taraf perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Taraf perlakuan pada penelitian ini adalah P0 (Tanpa pemberian rElGH), P1 (Pemberian rElGH melalui perendaman dosis 8 mg/L), P2 (Pemberian rElGH melalui perendaman dosis 12 mg/L), P3 (Pemberian rElGH melalui perendaman dosis 16 mg/L) dan P4 (Pemberian rElGH melalui perendaman dosis 20 mg/L). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian rElGH melalui perendaman pada benih ikan nilem dengan dosis berbeda berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap pertumbuhan bobot mutlak, pertmbuhan panjang mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, efisiensi pakan, konversi, dan kelulushidupan. P2 memiliki hasil yang terbaik yaitu bobot mutlak 4,88±0,13 g, panjang mutlak 2,34±0,07 cm, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 376±0,17 %, efisiensi pakan 87,60±1,03 %, konversi pakan 1,14±0,02 dan kelulushidupan 93,33±5,77  %.

Abstract

Main problems facing by fish farmers in utilizing of swampy soil as otheralternatives for fish culture area are water and soil quality such as low soil andwater pH, uncertainty water supply, land topography and lack of nutrient content.In order to increase nutrient content in swampy soil, it should give manure. FlyAsh consist of P : 10.0-12.3 g/kg, K : 16.0-65.8 g/kg, Ca : 26.6-32.1 g/kg, Mg : 24.4-30.8 g/kg, Cu : 0.16-1.26 g/kg, dan B : 0.20-0.27 g/kg. Fly Ash an alternative thatcould be used in nutrient recycling or to return nutrient content on land.Application of fly ash could improve swampy soil and adding nutrient content forplant. The aim of this research was to investigate the effect of palm fly ashaddition on phytoplankton growth. Complete Random Design with one factor,four treatments and three replications was applied. Results showed that there waspositive relationship between concentration of fly ash and phytoplanktonabundance. Fly ash concentrations applied were: P0 (without fly ash), P1 (246.1g/m2), P2 (492.2 g/m2) and P3 (738.3 g/m2). Results shown that the bestphytoplankton abundance was obtained from P3 (738.3 g/m2) with phytoplanktonabundance was 2,945 cell/ml, while the worst was P0 (without fly ash) withphytoplankton abundance 1442 cel/ml. 17 species of phytoplankton were inventedin the research consist of 5 species of Chlorophyceae, 4species ofCyanophyceae, and 8 species of Bacillariophyceae respectively. The organicmaterial of soil content from 60.40-89.75 %, nitrate concentration 0.129-0.841ppm, temperature 26-35oC, water pH 5-9, turbidity 1-17 NTU, DO 2.1-4.5 ppm,CO2 11.99-46.57 ppm, orthoposphate concentration 0.079-0.524 ppm, hardness17.00-29.67 ppm.

Abstract

The research was conducted from Juni to November 2013 in a Laboratory ofEnvironment Quality Cultivation, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty of RiauUniversity. The purposed of this research was to knew improving the chemicalquality of podsolic red yellow pond bottom soil by a given pool mixed fertilize oforganic quail manure and inorganic fertilizers (Urea, SP 36 and KCl) with differentproportions. The method used in thisexperiment was Randomized CompleteDesign with 6 degrees of treatment with 3 replication. The treatment used in thisexperiment was (without treatment), P1 proportion of 100% organic fertilizer(75,96 g): 0% inorganic fertilizers (0 g; 0 g; 0 g), P2 proportion of 70% organicfertilizer (53,17 g): 30% inorganic fertilizers (0.25 g; 0.04 g; 0.14 g), P3proportion of 50% organic fertilizer (26,59 g): 50% inorganic fertilizers (4.16 g;g; 0,68 2.26 g, P4 proportion of 30% organic fertilizer (7.98 g): 70% inorganicfertilizers (5,82 g; 0.95 g; 3.16 g), P5 proportion0% organic fertilizer (0 g): 100%inorganic fertilizers (8.25 g; g; 4,52 1.36 g). Result showed that the provision oforganic and inorganic mixed with different dose effect to improve the chemicalquality of soil as pH, organic matter, cation exchange capacity and phosphate andwater quality too. Treatment that can provide the best influence on thecharacteristics of the land base of the pond is the proportion of 50% organicfertilizer:50% inorganic fertilizers.Keywords :fertilizer doses, quail manure fertilizer, soil quality, water quality

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research was conducted in the village of Canang Kering XX Belawan, North Sumatra Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding lime water mixed with spinach extract in feed for survival, growth rate, and accelerating the time of moulting mud crab (Scylla serrata).This research was conducted using Experimental Methods with completely randomized design (CRD), those is 5 treatments and 3 replications. P0 (without giving CaO and extract spinach), P1 (Provision 4 ml of CaO and 30 g of spinach extract), P2 (Provision 4 ml of CaO and 35 g of spinach extract), P3 (Provision 4 ml of CaO and 40 g of spinach extract), P4 (Provision 4 ml of CaO and 45 g of spinach extract).Animal testing used was mud crab (S. serrata) with an average initial weight of ±100 gr / individual. Animal testing used were 60 crabs and maintained in a plastic basket measuring (59 x 37 x 17 )cm3during 60 day. The results shows different feed percentages had a significant effect (P <0.05) on absolute weight growth, feed conversion, livelihood, moulting, but not significantly influence (P> 0.05) on SR mangrove crabs. The results showed that the best treatment for absolute weight growth was in the administration of 4 ml of lime water and 40 g of spinach extract of biomass weight (P3) which was 189.67 g, specific growth rate of 3.27%, Best feed conversion  is 7.55, and an average of 18.66 days molting time with a survival rate of 91.33%, Keywords : Mud crab, limewater,Spinach , Moulting, Growth, Life-long rate

Abstract

ABSTRACT           This research has been conducted in December 2018 until January 2019 at  Kualu Nenas village,  Tambang, Kampar Riau and for the observation of phytoplankton conducted in environment quality Laboratory of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University Riau. The purpose of this research is to figure out the appropriate dose of biofertilizer formulations to increase the abundance of phytoplankton in a Patin fish pond. The method used in this research is the experimental method of using a complete randomized design of 1 factor, 5 levels of treatment and 4 times repeated. The use of a dose of biofertilizer formulation refers to Syafriadiman and Harahap (2017). The doses used in this study are: P0: Without biofertilizer formulations (control), P1: of biofertilizer formulations 700 g/m2, P2: biofertilizer formulations 750 g/m2, P3: biofertizer formulations 800 g/m2 and P4: biofertilizer formulations 850 g/m2. The results of this study showed the highest abundance of phytoplankton species recorded by the Chlorophyta class in P2, with an abundance of 27,867 cells/L and the highest total abundance also recorded by P2 is 48,943 cells/L.Keywords: phytoplankton, peat soil, biofertilizer formulation, Patin (Pangasius sp.)

Abstract

ABSTRACT                This research was conducted on February 20 - March 30, 2019 at the Laboratory of Aquaculture Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. This study aims to determine the best dosage of Papain enzymes mixed in commercial feed to see the growth and survival of baung fish. The research container used was a 60x40x40 cm3 aquarium with 15 aquariums with a stocking density of 15 fish / aquarium. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor of five levels of treatment and three replications. Each treatment was given the addition of papain enzymes as much as P1 (0 g / kg), P2 (0.25 g / kg), P3 (0.30 g / kg), P4 (0.35 g / kg), and P5 ( 0.40 g / kg) of feed. The results showed that the best treatment found in P4 (0.35 g / kg) of feed resulted in absolute weight growth of 5.84 g, growth of absolute length of 4.20 cm, specific growth rate of 4.56%, feed efficiency of 124.56% and livelihood 95.53%. Keywords: Papain Enzyme, Growth, Baung Fish (Hemibagrusnemurus)

Abstract

ABSTRACT                The research was conducted from October to November at UPT laboratory in the departement of aquaculture, faculty of fisheries and marine, university of riau. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of proper probiotic on the growth and survival of tilapia (Wallago leeri). The research method is using a completely randomized design (CRD) experimental method with 1 factor consisting of 5 levels of treatment and 3 replications (15 units).The treatments used were P1 = 0 mL / m3, P2 = 3 mL / m3, P3 = 5 mL / m3, P4 = 7 mL / m3, P5 = 9 mL / m3. The best treatment for 40 days of maintenance was found in P3 with an absolute weight growth of 45.88 g, a daily growth rate of 2.06% / g, and an absolute length of 3.79 cm.  Keywords: Tapah fish (Wallago leeri), Probiotic

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the best types of natural food for growth performance, survival rate and color brightness of neon tetra fish (Paracheirodon innesi). The method of this research was using the experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (RAL) by using one factor of 4 treatment levels and 4 replications. The tratments were using pellet (control), Tubifex sp, Moina sp and Bloodwarm. The fry size was around 1.2-1.5 cm and weight was 0.065 gthen reared in the aquarium by 15 L of water and 15 fishes of stocking density each aquarium. The fish were reared for 40 days and feed is given as much as 10% of biomass weight, e times a day of feeding frequency. The results showed that the best treatment was Tubifex sp by giving absolute weight growth for 0.14 g, absolute longevity for 0.58 cm, specific growth rate for 2.99% and fish survival for 98%, while the best color brightness by giving a Bloodwarm. The conclusion is different types of natural diets significantly affect the growth performance, survival rate and color brightness of neon tetra fish (Paracheirodon innesi).Keywords: Natural food; Growth; Survival rate; Color brightness; Neon tetra; Paracheirodon innesi.

Abstract

This research was conducted from March until April 2015 at the Laboratory of Environmental Quality Cultivation of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science University of Riau. The aim of this research to find out the ability of Azolla microphylla remove heavy metals (Zn) in reducing the content of heavy metals (Zn) in the cultivation media. The method used was experimental method and complete randomized design (CAD) with 1 factor 4 treatments and 3 replications.The results of this research that giving of Azolla microphylla with different density give effect to the decrease in heavy metals (Zn) in the cultivation media. The best density during research was 30 g Azolla microphylla/L of water could reduce Zn content in the cultivation media was 57,69%.Key words : Heavy Metals (Zn), Azolla microphylla, Bioremoval

Abstract

This research was conducted from 1 May to 26 July 2015 held at UPT Hatchery in order to find the best fish meal with protein content to support life and growth of Panagsius polyuranodon reared in a recirculation system. The method used in this research is experiment by using completely randomized design (CRD) 1 factor, 3 level treatments and 3 replications. The best result was achieved by protein 37,41% protein level with an average of 6.81 g of absolute growth, the average specific growth rate of 1.13 % respectively, the average feed efficiency of 48.53% and survival by 77.78% , The value of water quality at P3 is temperature: 26,8-30 0C, pH: 6.2 to 6.6 DO: 4.7 to 5.4 mg/L and Amonia: 0.0013 mg/L.Key Words: different protein, Growth rate, pangasidae, Pangasius polyuranodon
