Abstract

ABSTRACT    Feed is one of the major operating in cultivation of mud crab (S. serrata). One aspect for attention in cultivation were feeds. This research aims to determine the optimal effect of the feed percentage on the growth of mud crab aquaculture(S. serrata). This research was conducted using Experimental Methods with completely randomized design (CRD), those is 4 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment A (3% feeds of the weight biomass), B (5% feeds of weight biomass), C (7% feeds of weight biomass feed, D (9% feeds of weight biomass).Animal testing used was mud crab (S. serrata) with an average initial weight of ±100 gr / individual.Animal testing used were 48 crabs and maintained in a plastic basket measuring (59 x 37 x 17 )cm3during 40 day. The results shows different feed percentages had a significant effect (P <0.05) on absolute weight growth, feed conversion, livelihood, moulting, but not significantly influence (P> 0.05) on SR mangrove crabs. The results shows that the best treatment for absolute weight growth was found in 7% feeding of biomass weight (P3), which was 80.00 g, specific growth rate of 1.53%, average moulting time of 18.66 days with survival rate 83 , 33%, and the best feed conversion is 4.10.Keywords :Mud crab; Food; Growth; Moulting; Life-long rate

Abstract

ABSTRACTHemibagrus nemurus is one type of freshwater fish that is the mainstay of fisheries commodities in Riau Province. The presence of an anti-nutritional factor called phytic acid in feed causes less optimal utilization of feed protein. One effort to overcome this is by adding phytase enzymes in the feed so that it is expected to inhibit anti-nutritional substances and increase feed protein absorption. The research was carried out from October to November 2019 at the Aquaculture Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University. This study aims to determine the effect and dose of phytase enzymes added to feed for growth and survival of baung. The method used was experiment of Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with one factor, four treatments and three replications. The treatment used P0: feeding with a dose of phytase enzyme 0 mg/kg, P1: feeding with a dose of phytase enzyme 500 mg/kg, P2: feeding with a dose of phytase enzyme 1000 mg/kg, P3: feeding with a dose of phytase enzyme 1500 mg/kg. The parameters observed were the absolute weight growth, absolute length, specific growth rate, feed efficiency, survival rate and water quality. The results showed that feeding with the addition of the phytase enzyme had an effect on the growth of baung fish. The best treatment was P2 (feeding with a dose of phytase enzyme 1000 mg/kg) with an absolute weight of 4.75 g, an absolute length of 2.22 cm, a specific growth rate of 1.90%, feed efficiency 77.86%, and a survival rate of 95. 55%. The results of water quality measurements during the study were temperature 26-27.3 oC, pH 6-7, DO 4.12-5.57 mg/L and ammonia 0.03-0.09 mg/L.Keywords: Hemibagrus nemurus, Phytase Enzyme, Phytic Acid, Growth, Survival Rate

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to determine the effect of differences in stocking density on the growth and survival of nilem fish (Osteochilus hasselti) using the recirculation system. The research container used was 12 aquariums measuring 60 x 40 x 40 cm. This study used an experimental method with one factorial completely randomized design, four treatments and three replications. The treatments applied were different stocking densities, namely P1 = 100 heads / m3 or 7 heads / 72 liters, P2 = 150 heads / m3 or 11 heads / 72 liters, P3 = 200 heads / m3 or 14 heads / 72 liters and P4 = 250 heads / m3 or 18 heads / 72 liters. The results showed that the treatment of different stocking densities in the recirculation system had a significant effect on the growth of nilem fish and the specific growth rate, but had no significant effect on feed conversion, blood glucose and the survival of the nilem fish seeds. The best treatment was P4 250 head / m3, which resulted in absolute weight growth (3.48 grams), absolute length growth (3.02 cm), specific growth rate (3.47%), feed conversion (1.50), blood glucose (82.33-84.33 mg / dL) and 90.74% survival rate. The quality of water during the research was obtained a temperature of 27-30oC, pH 6–7, (DO) 7,1 – 7,7 mg/L and ammonia 0,0004-0,0017 mg/L.Keywords:Nilem fish,Stocking density, Recirculation

Abstract

ABSTRACTFeed is one of the important factors to produce maximum production in the cultivation of egg crabs. This study aims to determine the effect of different types of feed on the number of mangrove crabs (Scylla serrata) that lay eggs, absolute weight growth, specific growth rates, and survival. The method of this study is an experimental method (experiment) using a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 levels of treatment 3 replications so that 12 units of the experiment were obtained. Each treatment given is P1 = Fly Fish 6% / body weight, P2 = Squid 6% / body weight, P3 = Shrimp 6% / body weight, and P4 = Lemuru Fish 6% / body weight. The crabs used are 180-190 g in size stocked in basket containers with stocking densities for each basket that is 1 tail. Maintenance lasts for 20 days and feed is given as much as 6% of body weight, frequency of feeding twice a day. The parameters observed included observing the number of spawning crabs, absolute weight growth, specific growth rate, feed efficiency, feed conversion ratio, survival rate and water quality. The results showed that the feeding of shrimp feed was the best treatment resulting in the number of mangrove crabs laying as many as 10 tails, absolute weight growth of 93.29 g, specific growth rate of 2.04%, feed efficiency 53.26%, feed conversion 1.88 and livelihood level 83.33%. Based on the results of the study concluded that the provision of different types of feed significantly affected the number of spawning crabs, had a very significant effect on growth and did not significantly affect the survival of mangrove crabs (Scylla serrata) which lay eggs. Keywords : Fresh feed; The number of crabs lay eggs; Growth; Life-long rate; Mangrove Crab; Scylla serrata
