Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of feeding fermented with probiotic on, absolute body weight, absolute body length, specific growth rate, survival, feed efficiency and feed conversion rate of African catfish preserved biofloc techniques. The treatment in this study was the dose used for the fermentation of feed are 2 ml / kg (P1), 4 ml / kg (P2), 6 ml / kg (P3), and control (feed without fermented). Each treatment was repeated 3 times. 4-5 cm catfish were kept in the plastic tank with stocking density of 500 fish/m3 for 56 days. The fish are fed three times a day at satiation. The results showed fermented feed with probiotic on biofloc system affect absolute body weight, absolute length, specific growth rate, feed efficiency, and feed conversion rate of african catfish significantly, but did not affect survival rate. The best treatment was obtained from P3 which gives absolute body weight of 110.09 grams, absolute body length of 15.51 cm, specific growth rate of 8.03%, 92.62% survival rate, feed efficiency 117.22%, as well as feed conversion of 0.85.Keyword: Probiotic, catfish, biofloc technology

ABSTRACK            This research was conducted on August 2018 until September2018 at Aquaculture Technology Laboratory of Fisheries Faculty and Marine, University Riau Pekanbaru. The purpose of this experiment was to determine the optimal dose of Thyroxine hormone (T4) treated by immersion on the growth and survival rate of Asian redtail catfish juvenile (Hemibagrus nemurus). The research method used in this study was an experimental method and completely randomized design with four treatments and three replication. The treatmens in this study were control P0 (without thyroxine hormone), P1 (soaking with hormone thyroxine at a dose 0.25 mg / litre), P2 (soaking with hormone thyroxine at a dose of 0.50 mg /litre), P3 (soaking with hormone thyroxine at a dose of 0,75 mg / litre). The best result was treatment on soaking treatment with hormone thyroxine 0,75 mg/litre with absolute growth weight 6.66 g, absolute growth length 5,6 cm, specific growth rate 3,43%, the highest feed efficiency 119,62 %, and feed conversion 0,84 and survival rate 100%.Water quality range at all treatments were: the temperature ranges was from 28 to 29,70C, pH ranges was from 6.8 to 7,3, and DO ranges was from 4.0 to 5,6 mg/L and ammonia was around 0,00151-0,00803 mg/L respectifely.Keyword: Thyroxine (T4), Hemibagrus nemurus, immersion

Abstract

AbstractEnzyme are a group of proteins that are abundant in living cells in have important functions as catalyst for biochemical reactions. The research was conducted for 50 days on 08 april - may 2019 at the laboratory of cultivation technology ,Faculty Of Fisheries And Marine,University Of Riau. The purpose of this research was yo determine the optimal dose of bromelin in feed in creasing grownt and survival rate of rivel catfish seeds. River catfish(Hemibagrus nemurus) seeds used in this research were obtained from fish formers in Bangkinang,Riau. The research  contained used in the from  an aquarium measuring  60 x 40 x 40 cm as many as 15 containers whit a stocking density of river catfish seeds 1 tail / 2,5 L of water. This research conducted experimentaly by using a compietely randomized desig (CRD) one factorial, whit five treatments and three replications. The treatment were the addition of bromelin enzyme on of feed commercial whit different doses of p1 : 2%/kg of feed, p2 : 3,5%/kg of feed, p3 : 5%/kg of feed, p4 : 6,5%/kg of feed, p5 : 8%/kg of feed. The result showed that the addition of bromelin in feed whit different doses. Significantly affected (P<0,05) on absolute weight, absolute lenght, spesific growth rate, and survival rate. The best growth was p2 treatment whit 6,98 grams absolute weight value, 4,99 cm absolute legth , 2,08 % specific growth rate, and 100% survival rate. Water quality  in this research is still in the normal range of 27,5 - 29,9°C temperature, 6-7 pH, 6,1- 7,3 mg/L dissolved oxygen (DO), and 0,03- 0,09 mg/L ammonia. Keyword : river catfish, bromelin, growth

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research was aimed to assess the effect of giving recombinant Growth Hormone (rGH) in commercial feed with different dosage for specific growth rate, feed efficiency of (Hemibagrus nemurus). Which were treatment 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 mg/kg of commercial feed PF 800. The experimental design used was completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replicates. Catfishes at average 4-5 cm were reared in each of net cage (1x1x1) m3 in a density 20 fish/net cage for 40 days. The fish were fed with the rGH supplemented diet once a three days 10% body weight. The data observed were for specific growth rate, feed efficiency, feed convertion rate, survival rate and water quality. Data were analyzed by using ANOVA to see the difference then tested with Student Newman-Keuls to see the best treatment. The conclusion shown that the combination of rGH and commercial feed were giving affect significantly (P<0,05) for specific growth rate, feed efficiency, feed convertion rate and survival rate. Best treatment that affected the value of specific growth rate, feed efficiency, feed convertion rate and survival rate is treatment rGH with dosage of 2 mg/kg feed with value of Specific growth rate (6,52%), feed efficiency (96,50%), feed convertion rate (1,03) and survival rate (96,25%). That addition of rGH 2 mg/kg was the best treatment can improve growth and feed efficiency of (Hemibagrus nemurus) and this technology application can be useful to increase aquaculture production. Keywoard : Hemibagrus nemurus, recombinan growth hormone, growth, efisiensi pakan

Culture vessel in the form of aquarium of 60 x 40 x 40 centimeters of 15 aquarium with stocking density of 15 fish/m3. This research was using experimental method by completely random design (RAL) one factor with five treatments and three replications, the treatments were by giving rElGH 12 mg/kg pellet with different giving time intervals. The treatments were : P1= once for a days, P2= once for three days, P3= once for five days, P4= once for seven days and P5= once for nine days. The results showed that the addition of rElGH in feed, showed highly significant effect (P<0.05) on the total weight, total length, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio, and no significant effect (p>0.05) to survival rate. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted on August - Sept 2018 in the Kualu Nenas Village, Tambang District, Kampar regency, Riau Province. Objective of study was to determine the effect of different biomass A. microphylla increasing physics parameters of water on peatsoil. The method used in this study is an experimental method using a Complete Random Design (CRD) with 1 factor, 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment used in this experiment are P0 (without biomass of Azolla michrophylla), P1 (biomass Azolla michrophylla 20 g/m2), P2 (biomass Azolla michrophylla 40 g/m2) and P3 ( biomass Azolla michrophylla 60 g/m2).The water quality parameters measured in this study are, turbidity, TSS and temperature. The results showed that biomass of Azolla microphylla had not significantly different effect on changes in physical parameters of water on peat soil ponds but for description analysis P3 different than P0,P1 and P2. The best results that can improve the physical parameters of peat water are found in the treatment of Azolla michrophylla 60 g / m2 (P3) by increasing the turbidity(12,50 NTU); TSS (150 mg/L) and temperature (26 – 29 0C). Keyword : Azolla michrophylla, Physics parameters, Peat soil
