Abstract

This service focuses on revitalizing the school library to increase the reading literacy movement among students at SDN 1 Tempuran, Ponorogo. The progress of a nation's civilization is not simply measured by abundant natural resources and the amount of human resources, but rather the quality of human resources. To improve this quality, in the 21st century Indonesia needs to develop literacy skills. Reading or literacy activities require effective facilities and infrastructure, one of which is the library. Libraries are closely related to reading, reading culture, and interest in reading. However, in reality, the SDN 1 Tempuran library is still not neatly organized and has not been used effectively and efficiently. The aim of this service is to carry out the library revitalization process and increase students' interest in reading. Data collection methods were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Service is carried out in three stages, namely planning, implementation and reporting. The results of this service: 1) Library revitalization, carried out by redecorating the library, classifying books, making library visit books, making library manuals and creating a library website for SDN 1 Tempuran. After the revitalization stage was completed, several central activities were carried out in the library, such as socialization of the new administration system, competitions to determine reading ambassadors, poetry and speeches. The library functions as an alternative place for learning. Thus, it can be concluded that library revitalization can increase students' reading interest and the library functions as it should.

Abstract

Abstract

After the merger, Islamic banks are expected to be able to break the growth of public interest in saving in Islamic banks, because they inherit the good things from each merger bank, namely BNI syariah with its innovations, Mandiri Syariah with its professional system and BRI syariah with a widespread local understanding, in recent years has increased but not much, in this case, it will be seen interest in Islamic banks through students as a benchmark. Seeing that the student's interest in Islamic banking is quite low, so researchers want to see the extent to which Islamic financial literacy in young students is more focused on saving in Islamic banking, so the purpose of this research is to analyze Islamic financial literacy in Islamic economics students. It is located in several universities are especially for students of Islamic economics. This research uses quantitative methods using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) tool and uses the Theory of Planned Behavior as a measuring factor. The results of this research were obtained that attitudes, subjective norms, and perceptions of behavioral control had a significant positive effect on students interest in saving in Islamic banks.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic hit global stock markets, including Indonesia. As a result, all sectoral indexes experienced a decline in their financial performance, especially the agricultural sector in the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index. This study used quantitative research. The population was obtained from 17 agricultural sector industrial companies registered with ISSI with a sample of 12 companies. The result of this study is that there are differences in score results in each bankruptcy prediction analysis method for 3 periods. The Altman Z-Score method in 2019 predicts 8 companies will be declared bankrupt and 4 companies are declared in good health. In 2020, the Altman Z-Score method predicts that 7 companies will be declared bankrupt and 5 companies will be declared in good health. In 2021, the Altman Z-Score method predicts that 7 companies will be declared bankrupt and 5 companies will be declared in good health. Grover's method in 2019 predicts that 3 companies will be declared bankrupt and 9 companies will be declared in good health. In 2020, Grover's method predicts that 3 companies will be declared bankrupt and 9 companies will be declared in good health. In 2021, Grover's method predicts that no company will be declared bankrupt and 12 companies will be declared in good health. It can be concluded that the Altman Z-Score method is considered optimal in this study to predict bankruptcy rates, assuming aspects of the Altman Z-Score method that highlight the company's profitability so as to affect the deeper accuracy of the company's financial performance.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aimed to measure muzakki satisfaction through institutional image zakat institutions’ performance and expectation disconfirmation theory.Methodology – This study uses Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) supported by SmartPLS 3.0, with a quantitative approach to measure muzakki satisfaction. Data were collected using a questionnaire, totaling 395 respondents from all branches of the Baitul Mal TAMZIS office.Findings – This study shows that institutional image, zakat institution performance, and desire disconfirmation have a significant positive effect on muzakki satisfaction, while expectation disconfirmation and perceived performance do not have a significant effect. This was supported by systematic programs and strategies, transparent reporting, and the use of electronic money to facilitate muzakki. Baitul Mal TAMZIS, with 42 branches spread across Wonosobo, Yogyakarta, Central Java, and West Java, continues to increase the collection and distribution of Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, and Waqf (ZISWAF) funds, with 70% of the muzakki becoming regular donors.Implications – The results of this study can be used by policymakers of Islamic Social Institutions such as Zakat Institutions, by paying attention to the image of the institution and the performance of zakat institutions.Originality – This study uses the theory of expectation disconfirmation, which is usually applied to non-profit institutions, to measure muzakki satisfaction in zakat institutions. The application of this theory in the context of zakat has not been widely explored, thus providing a new contribution to the literature on zakat management.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the influence of COVID-19 on changes in the performance of MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises). The research also examines business resilience strategies in response to PPKM's orders amid the COVID-19 pandemic crisis in Indonesia. Quantitative and qualitative approaches were applied in this study. Primary data was collected through questionnaires, and interviews involving 477 respondents from MSME owners and six selected respondents in Indonesia employed in this study. Descriptive analysis and regression using structural equation modeling (SEM) were applied. The study showed that the dimensions of COVID-19, namely PPKM and health protocols, negatively affect MSME's performance. The study also found that promoting and selling products on social media, product diversification, and minimalizing cost production are among the most popular business resilience strategies to survive MSME's operation during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results suggest that the establishment of COVID-19's impact on MSME's performance should be aware and concerned. The study also indicates that MSMEs should be able to maintain their strategies in surviving their business due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Abstract

The development of an industry cannot be realized without the role of stakeholders, and this also applies to the halal industry. This paper aims to examine the determinants of the pentahelix model in developing the halal industry in Indonesia. Qualitative approach by using the Analytic Network Process (ANP) used in this study. Ten respondents, including practitioners, academics, and policymakers, are selected to gather experts' opinions about developing the halal industry through the pentahelix model. The findings of this study show that business actors, who play a major role as producers and providers of halal products and are responsible for meeting halal standards, are the first priority determinant found in the pentahelix. An increase in understanding of halal knowledge, consistent discipline and professionalism, and having product development access of business actors will increase their role in developing the halal industry. The second priority determinant found is media, followed by government, academia, and community. The most prioritized sub-elements of the pentahelix aspect indicators, according to the respondents' agreement, are government support (government element) and knowledge and understanding of halal (business actor element). It indicates that government assistance is a priority due to its significant regulatory role in ensuring simple procedures and compliance with halal standards. In conclusion, the priority rank of determinant of pentahelix found is business actor (first rank), media (second rank), government (third rank), academia (fourth rank), and community (fifth rank). The study suggests that business actors play a crucial role in developing the halal industry, which may be enhanced in terms of their halal literacy and knowledge of halal products. The government's role in halal certification needs to be enhanced in order to ease the halal register for business actors.
