Abstract

Increasing Human Resources Towards MSME Independence through Quality Education in Realizing Sustainable Development Goals in Ciwalat Village, District. Pabuaran, Kab. Sukabumi. This service was carried out on Sunday, June 2 2024, which was attended by 20 students and 6 supervisors from Pamulang University. The general aim of this community service activity is to socialize that the way to achieve MSME independence and improve human resources is through quality education so that sustainable development can be achieved in Ciwalat Village. The methods used are survey methods and direct delivery of material as well as simulations and discussions regarding management, HR management, marketing of MSME products. This service activity succeeded in providing understanding to the community, especially the importance of quality education in improving human resources and developing MSMEs in an effort towards sustainable development.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh langsung disiplin kerja, keterlibatan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan PT. Risky Lintas Samudra Surabaya. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT. Risky Lintas Samudra Surabaya dengan jumlah responde sebanyak 55 karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sampling jenuh dan teknik analisis menggunakan Partial Least Square. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa disiplin kerja tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja, sedangkan keterlibatan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh adanya Soft skill dan Self efficacy terhadap kesiapan kerja mahasiswa tingkat akhir FEB UPN “Veteran” Jatim. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif.  Populasi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Mahasiswa FEB Angkatan tahun 2018 yang berjumlah 682. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 252 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari 110 manajemen, 82 akuntansi, dan 60 ekonomi pembangunan. Penelitian ini menggunakan aplikasi Partial Least Square (PLS) untuk alat analisisnya.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa soft skill dan self efficacy memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir FEB Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini penting untuk dilakukan karena dapat digunakan sebagai pengetahuan pentingnya soft skill dan self efficacy dalam memasuki dunia kerja dan dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan persiapan untuk mahasiswa tingkat akhir dalam membentuk kesiapan kerja yang nantinya setelah lulus dari universitas dan menyandang gelar sarjana dapat memiliki kesiapan kerja yang matang dalam memasuki dunia kerja.

Abstract

Event Organizer is a team that conceptualizes an event and implements and evaluates each agenda that has been implemented. To make the wishes and dreams of many people come true, especially at weddings, event organizers offer professional services that can reach the entire community to make these dreams come true. Having a professional team such as an Event Organizer greatly influences the success of an event, from small events organized by companies, concerts or public entertainment to personal events such as weddings. The people of Surabaya already know and trust the professional service team that can plan wedding processions, namely Mahar Agung Organizer. In introducing the Creative Industry Business, Mahar Agung Organizer uses digital promotion strategies through social media such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Websites to carry out promotions. This research aims to describe strategies for how an event organizer business can develop social media such as Instagram and TikTok as the main promotional media to get clients. Through AIDA analysis (attention, interest, desire, action). The method in this research is descriptive qualitative by describing in detail and analyzing the results of field observations, literature studies, interviews and documentation. This research shows the results that social media has a big influence on clients' interest in using the professional services of Mahar Agung Organizer which always has attractive offers and informative content regularly.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of self-efficacy and employee turnover on employee performance at PT. PLN (Persero) UP2B East Java. Employing a quantitative research design, data was analyzed using Smart PLS software. Given the small population size, a census sampling method was applied, encompassing all 69 employees. Data collection was conducted through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The analysis included tests for validity and reliability, R-Square evaluation, and hypothesis testing via bootstrapping. The results reveal that both self-efficacy and employee turnover positively influence employee performance. Employees with higher self-efficacy demonstrate superior job performance, and increased employee turnover is also linked to improved performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to highlight the harmonious coexistence among different ethnic and religious groups. The study was conducted in Badau, a sub-district in West Kalimantan, inhabited by the indigenous Dayak Iban ethnic group and migrants from various ethnic and religious backgrounds. The primary motivation for examining the socio-cultural and religious life in Badau stems from the region's challenges, including limited religious guidance and services, the establishment of places of worship, the roles of traditional and religious leaders, and interfaith relationships. Using a qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and document analysis, the research revealed several key findings. Firstly, customary rules play a significant role in the lives of the Dayak Iban, serving as a guiding principle. They adhere to these rules strictly but with flexibility. Secondly, community leaders and social institutions are instrumental in resolving social issues. The rumah panjang and balai adat are two key mechanisms for conflict resolution. The study recommends conducting anthropological and historical research to trace the origins of the Dayak Iban tribe and explore religious encounters in the region. It also suggests that local governments in border areas emulate Badau’s community resilience, where the Cross-Border Post (PLBN) serves as a living symbol of unity, promoting nationalism and harmony among diverse ethnic, cultural, and religious groups. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menyoroti kehidupan harmonis di antara kelompok etnis dan agama yang berbeda. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Badau, sebuah kecamatan di Kalimantan Barat, yang dihuni oleh suku Dayak Iban sebagai kelompok etnis asli dan para migran dari berbagai latar belakang etnis dan agama. Motivasi utama untuk meneliti kehidupan sosial budaya dan agama di Badau berasal dari tantangan yang dihadapi wilayah ini, seperti keterbatasan bimbingan dan layanan keagamaan, pendirian tempat ibadah, peran pemimpin adat dan agama, serta hubungan antar umat beragama. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen, penelitian ini mengungkapkan beberapa temuan penting. Pertama, aturan adat memainkan peran penting dalam kehidupan suku Dayak Iban, menjadi pedoman utama mereka. Mereka mematuhi aturan tersebut dengan tegas namun fleksibel. Kedua, para pemimpin komunitas dan lembaga sosial berperan penting dalam menyelesaikan masalah sosial. Rumah panjang dan balai adat merupakan dua mekanisme penyelesaian konflik di antara masyarakat. Studi ini merekomendasikan dilakukannya penelitian antropologi dan sejarah untuk menelusuri asal-usul suku Dayak Iban serta mengeksplorasi pertemuan agama di wilayah tersebut. Studi ini juga menyarankan agar pemerintah daerah di wilayah perbatasan meniru ketahanan komunitas di Badau, di mana Pos Lintas Batas Negara (PLBN) berfungsi sebagai simbol hidup persatuan, mempromosikan nasionalisme dan kerukunan di antara kelompok etnis, budaya, dan agama yang beragam.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze employer branding and employee value proposition on employer attractiveness in potential employee candidates of Startup Campuspedia Indonesia. Research methodology: This study uses quantitative research methods that are processed using Smart PLS software. The sampling technique used is proportional random sampling with a total of 51 samples. Results: The results show that employer branding and employee value proposition have a positive and significant impact on employer attractiveness at Startup Campuspedia Indonesia. Limitations: The limitation of this study is that it only uses one startup company in the field of education as the object of research and has not used several companies with different backgrounds. Contribution: The results of this study can be useful for Human Capital in the company's recruitment process in the next period as an effort to increase the interest of prospective employees to work in the company.

Abstract

Procrastination in finishing final tasks is a big problem that might make students' study time longer. This tendency was observed among students in the Management Study Program at UPN Veteran East Java, class of 2021, where 16.20% had not commenced their thesis within the designated timeframe. This study seeks to examine the impact of time management and motivation on academic procrastination. This study utilized a quantitative methodology including a sample of 75 students selected from the cohort of 2021 who had not yet finalized their thesis. We used SmartPLS 4.0 software to help us analyze the data. The study's conclusion suggests that a student's proficiency in time management and elevated motivation correlates with a diminished propensity for academic procrastination in thesis completion.

Abstract

The digital transformation of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan services through the Jamsostek Mobile (JMO) application aims to improve efficiency and accessibility, including in submitting Periodic Pension Insurance (JP) benefits. However, the implementation of this digital service still faces obstacles in the field, especially among pensioners with limited digital literacy. Initial observations indicate that many pensioners experience technical difficulties such as login issues, misunderstanding of the service flow, and difficulty navigating the Periodic JP menu in the JMO application. This community service activity aims to improve the digital competence of pensioners so they can access the Periodic JP service independently. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a pre-test, education through direct assistance, and a post-test, this activity involved pensioners at the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Surabaya Karimunjawa Office who were experiencing difficulties using the application. The results of the activity showed that the intervention in the form of direct assistance was effective in increasing participants' understanding and confidence in using the JMO application features. These findings confirm that digital assistance is a crucial strategy in bridging the digital literacy gap, making the JMO application not only an administrative tool but also an educational tool that supports participants' independence in accessing their social security rights. ABSTRAK Transformasi digital layanan BPJS Ketenagakerjaan melalui aplikasi Jamsostek Mobile (JMO) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan aksesibilitas, termasuk dalam pengajuan manfaat Jaminan Pensiun (JP) Berkala. Namun, implementasi layanan digital ini masih menghadapi kendala di lapangan, terutama pada kelompok peserta pensiun yang memiliki keterbatasan literasi digital. Observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa banyak peserta pensiun mengalami kesulitan teknis seperti kendala login, ketidakpahaman alur layanan, dan kesulitan menavigasi menu JP Berkala di aplikasi JMO. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi digital peserta pensiun agar mampu mengakses layanan JP Berkala secara mandiri. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan tahapan pre-test, edukasi melalui pendampingan langsung, dan post-test, kegiatan ini melibatkan peserta pensiun di Kantor BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Surabaya Karimunjawa yang mengalami kendala penggunaan aplikasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa intervensi berupa pendampingan langsung efektif meningkatkan pemahaman dan kepercayaan diri peserta dalam menggunakan fitur-fitur aplikasi JMO. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendampingan digital merupakan strategi krusial dalam menjembatani kesenjangan literasi digital, menjadikan aplikasi JMO tidak hanya sebagai alat administratif tetapi juga sarana edukasi yang mendukung kemandirian peserta dalam mengakses hak jaminan sosial mereka.

Abstract

Social protection for Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPQ) teachers, categorized as informal workers, still faces challenges, particularly related to low social security literacy and limited access to formal state protection programs. This study aims to analyze the role of the Social Security Agency for Employment (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) in enhancing social protection for TPQ teachers in Surabaya through educational activities, community outreach, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan officials, document review, and indirect observation of the socialization process and registration mechanism. The findings indicate that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan conducted tiered socialization to PAC FKPQI and TPQ heads, delivering materials covering the benefits of Employment Injury Insurance (JKK) and Death Benefits (JKM), claim procedures, and reporting mechanisms. PAC served as a key liaison in data collection and coordination of reporting through communication groups. The Surabaya City Government also strengthened the program through APBD funding, ensuring all TPQ teachers received protection without any cost burden. This program was proven to enhance a sense of security, access to protection, and benefit certainty for TPQ teachers and their beneficiaries. The study concludes that the collaboration between BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, PAC, and the local government is effective in expanding social protection for informal workers. ABSTRAK Perlindungan sosial bagi guru Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPQ) sebagai pekerja informal masih menghadapi tantangan, terutama rendahnya literasi jaminan sosial dan keterbatasan akses terhadap program perlindungan negara. Pengabdian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran BPJS Ketenagakerjaan dalam meningkatkan perlindungan sosial bagi guru TPQ di Surabaya melalui kegiatan edukasi, sosialisasi, dan kolaborasi dengan pemangku kepentingan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan petugas BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, telaah dokumen, serta observasi tidak langsung terhadap alur sosialisasi dan mekanisme pendaftaran. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa BPJS Ketenagakerjaan melaksanakan sosialisasi berjenjang kepada PAC FKPQI dan kepala TPQ, dengan materi mencakup manfaat Jaminan Kecelakaan Kerja (JKK) dan Jaminan Kematian (JKM), prosedur klaim, serta tata cara pelaporan. PAC berperan sebagai narahubung dalam pendataan dan koordinasi pelaporan melalui grup komunikasi. Pemerintah Kota Surabaya turut memperkuat program melalui pendanaan APBD sehingga seluruh guru TPQ mendapatkan perlindungan tanpa beban biaya. Program ini terbukti meningkatkan rasa aman, akses perlindungan, dan kepastian manfaat bagi guru TPQ dan ahli waris. Pengabdian menyimpulkan bahwa kolaborasi BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, PAC, dan pemerintah daerah efektif memperluas perlindungan sosial bagi pekerja informal.
