Abstract

In this sophisticated and digital era of globalization, studying graphic design is important and beneficial for students. By studying graphic design, you are able to grow and shape your creativity so that you can come up with interesting and unique ideas to improve your welfare. Making logo designs and work content is one of the activities that students can use as soft skills in the world of work. The graphic design training activity using Canva at MTS and SMK Ar-Rizkhan aims to provide knowledge related to graphic design and help students to be creative in using Canva. The Canva app is an online, free, and easy-to-use graphic design application. The method of implementing graphic design training activities at MTS and SMK Ar-Rizkhan uses three stages, namely material, theory/practicum, and evaluation. It is hoped that this graphic design training activity will make students more enthusiastic about creativity in the field of graphic design and can open up business opportunities, either goods or services independently.

Abstract

The implementation of earth alms is a culture that is carried out from generation to generation by the people of Indonesia, especially on the island of Java as a form of gratitude for the gift of the earth's produce by God. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the earth alms tradition associated with character education in the form of moral values contained in the implementation of the tradition. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach. The findings and results of this study indicate that culture is a strong solution to the demoralization that occurs in the nation's generation. This is stated in the values contained in the implementation of the earth alms tradition which includes social, religious, economic and other aspects.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the aspects of lighting and room temperature in the Thousand Gate Mosque, Banten, with a focus on its historical and scientific value. Using a descriptive method, room temperature and natural lighting, which affect the comfort of mosque users, were measured and monitored. The results revealed that the lighting and room temperature in the mosque do not meet the comfort standards set in Indonesia. As a solution, additional lighting such as lamps, air conditioning, or fans are needed to optimize the room temperature. Furthermore, through interviews and observations, it was found that the Thousand Gate Mosque holds historical significance, still recognized by the local community as a place of worship and a historical symbol due to its architecture. In conclusion, improving the evaluation of lighting and room temperature is necessary to enhance the comfort for mosque users. Additionally, promoting the mosque as a historical and educational destination is crucial to appreciate and utilize its historical value to the fullest. Thus, these efforts can preserve the authenticity of the mosque and provide greater benefits to the community and visitors

Abstract

This research aims to describe the ethnic system of the Kui ethnic community, the motifs on Kui ethnic sarongs as social studies teaching materials based on local wisdom, develop social studies teaching materials that are integrated with local wisdom values in increasing the creativity of students in the Southwest Alor community, Alor Regency and determine the feasibility Kui Ethnic sarong philosophy as the development of social studies teaching materials based on local wisdom in increasing the creativity of students in the Southwest Alor community, Alor Regency. The research method used in this research is research and development (R&D). This research uses the Borg & Gall model. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation using assessment sheets based on material experts, media experts and teacher responses as research instruments. The results of the research show that the social studies teaching materials based on local wisdom that were developed are suitable for use in social studies learning. This is proven by the results of the assessment of material experts, media experts, and teacher responses which are in the very appropriate category. The conclusion of the research shows that social studies teaching materials based on local wisdom that integrate the local wisdom values of the Kui ethnic group in the Southwest Alor community of Alor Regency have been developed, these teaching materials are suitable for use in social studies learning.

Abstract

Museums have historical collections, so it is appropriate to use museums as a source of learning media in learning history. In the learning process, the purpose of learning history is to shape the character of the nation, where this character must grow at all levels of education, both elementary, junior high, high school, and vocational school, as a provision for students to make them the next generation of the nation with good character. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of SMK As-Salam students toward the existence of museums to understand the purpose of learning history. The research method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative research method. The data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and interviews. The results showed that all students, especially vocational students, need to learn history through museums to understand historical learning by directly seeing the relics of history. Hopefully, this research can be useful for further literature on history lessons in vocational schools.

Abstract

This research contributes to describing the effect of literacy and numeracy learning on social studies subjects in schools and looks at how it affects 21st-century skills. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Cikupa. Based on existing theories, it is known that this research hypothesizes that learning literacy and numeracy in social studies subjects can develop students' 21st-century skills. This study used a population of all SMP Negeri 2 Cikupa, which amounted to 1165 students in grades 7, 8, and 9. The samples used just two classes of 9G and 9H classes. The sample was selected through simple random sampling because the population is included in the homogeneous category. The method used is quantitative, with the independent variable X1 literacy, X2 numeracy, and the dependent variable Y1 21st century skills. The data analysis technique was carried out by dividing the research subjects into the experimental and control classes, each being tested with a pretest, posttest, data prerequisites, hypothesis testing T, F, and determinant coefficients. This study concludes that the literacy variable, numeracy, influences 21st-century skills, as evidenced by the results of the literacy T-test on 21st-century skills, which shows that t count 4.676 > t table 2.042 and sig. 0.000 < 0.05 and numeration on 21st century skills t count 3,527 > t table 2.042 and sig. 0.001 < 0.05.

Abstract

This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach where the researcher searches and collects resources in the form of informationand data about the use of museums as a source of historical learning, which inturn provides descriptive data in the form of words, writing of objects observedby researchers. The data used in this study comes from sources, places (museum buildings and collections) and documents. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation and document analysis. In this study, researchers used source triangle measurement by searching data through more than one informant related to the use of the museum's role as a source of historical learning. The results showed that the museum can motivate students and make students easy in the learning history process. The visit to the museum is something that deserves to be considered as a source of visual learning forstudents. A visit to the history object is expected to change the assumption thatstudents studying history are not boring and satiating, but something interestingand fun. On the basis of the findings in the field of SMA Negeri 5 Depok, the useof the museum as a learning source is indeed not yet optimal, due to variousfactors such as the lack of broad socialization to schools and the limited reach ofthe museum, which is an obstacle to National Awakening Museum in an effort tomake the museum as a means to study history.Keywords: learning materials, students, museums

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe religiosity values and analyze the behavior of pilgrims to Mbah Priok's grave, the motivation of pilgrims and religiosity in relation to social studies values in social studies learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 14 Jakarta. The method used was a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach, the research subjects included three key informants consisting of the grave administrator, two pilgrims, and one social studies teacher. The research results describe the role and function of religion in human life as a source of morals, instructions for truth, and spiritual guidance. The phenomenon of grave pilgrimage is a form of religious value. Social studies subjects are subjects that originate from the social life of society which are selected using social science concepts which are used for learning purposes in schools. Furthermore, research shows (1) religious behavior displayed by grave pilgrims is performing ablution, dhikr, wearing perfume, and tawasul; (2) the motivation that pilgrims have is religious motivation and being careful in praying; and (3) the values of religiosity are related to social studies learning which is integrated between religious and scholarly values which focuses more on social phenomena. This research concludes that Mbah Priok's grave pilgrim's religiosity is related to social studies scores in learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 14 Jakarta, reflected in the attitudes and behavior of students when praying, having to be pure, respecting, and appreciating people who have died.

Abstract

This study aims to present a collaboration between scouting education through exploration activities and social studies learning through the use of the google maps application as a STEAM-based learning medium. Innovation in social studies learning activities must continue to be expanded, especially with rapid social changes that also have an impact on the rapid changes in the learning models and methods implemented. Including collaborating with non-formal educational institutions, one of which is the Scout Movement. Through collaborative and actual learning activities, it can become a new learning style that can develop collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity skills. The method used to study this used explanatory qualitative through literature studies. Thus, the results of this study show that the use of google maps can also be a collaborative learning medium in social studies learning through exploration activities in scouting education. Social studies learning, which contains the content of geography material, can be the main guideline in knowing and studying spatial changes to the patterns of social interaction of the community.

Abstract

Powtoon merupakan aplikasi teknologi berbasis web untuk membuat video edukasi yang membantu siswa dalam proses belajarnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas penggunaan media Powtoon dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas V SDN Ciracas 15 Halaman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen kuantitatif yang terdiri dari dua variabel yaitu media Powtoon sebagai variabel bebas dan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia sebagai variabel terikat, dengan desain pre-eksperimental kelompok eksperimen melakukan pre-test kelas V. Dengan jumlah siswa yang menjadi sampel penelitian sebanyak 31 orang, dibantu dengan SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Media Powtoon efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia kelas V di SDN Ciracas 15 Halaman. buktikan jika nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05 atau 0,000 < 0,05 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian penggunaan media powtoon memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa sekolah dasar V. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa siswa kelas V SDN Ciracas 15 Pagi belajar bahasa Indonesia dengan baik dan meningkat melalui penggunaan media Powtoon.
