This research aims to describe the understanding of mathematical concepts among 8th-grade students of SMP Negeri 15 Palu, specifically focusing on self-efficacy in the topic of linear equations. The type of research conducted is descriptive, utilizing a qualitative approach. The research method employed is the member-check method. The subjects selected for this study were 3 students from class VIII A of SMP Negeri 15 Palu, representing high, moderate, and low levels of self-efficacy as determined from the results of a self-efficacy questionnaire. They were subsequently administered a test on mathematical concept comprehension. The results of the research indicate that students with high self-efficacy demonstrate a very good understanding of mathematical concepts, mastering all concept comprehension indicators. Meanwhile, students with moderate self-efficacy master some indicators, and students with low self-efficacy only master the indicator of restating concepts. Thus, it can be concluded that subjects with high self-efficacy have a very good understanding of mathematical concepts, while subjects with moderate self-efficacy have a sufficiently good understanding, and those with low self-efficacy have a less adequate understanding of mathematical concepts. This research aims to describe students' understanding of the concept of the Pythagorean theorem in class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Banawa in terms of mathematical ability. The method used in this research is triangulation, data was collected through written tests and interviews. The results of this study showed that ST subjects were able to explain the third indicator given by the researcher. Subject SS could not explain the second indicator because the subject did not understand the cardinal directions so that it affected the third indicator, subject SS could not complete it. SR subjects could not explain the three indicators. In conclusion, students with high mathematical abilities can fulfill the indicators in restating concepts and presenting concepts in the form of mathematical representations (images), and some fulfill the indicators in using certain operating procedures in solving Pythagorean theorem problems. Students with moderate mathematical abilities only partially meet the indicators for restating and presenting concepts in the form of mathematical representations, but have not yet met the indicators for using certain operating procedures. Meanwhile, students with low mathematical abilities only partially fulfill the indicators in restating concepts, but do not meet the indicators in presenting concepts in the form of mathematical representations or in using certain operating procedures. This study aims to describe the errors made by students in solving problems on the material of circle equations based on Newman's Error Analysis (NEA) reviewing gender differences. This type of research is Descriptive research with a qualitative approach conducted in class XI MIA 2 Madrasah Aliyah Alkhairaat Kalangkangan. This study uses a test and interview method. The subjects of the study were 36 students of class XI MIA 2 who were given a classification test to obtain data on high-ability students. Choosing 2 informants as test and interview subjects, namely one female student with the most errors and one male student with the most errors. The results of this study are (1) reading error; 2) understanding the problem (comprehension error); 3) transformation error (transformation error); 4) process skills error; 5) error in writing the final answer (encoding error). Conclusion, the teacher's ability to identify errors made by students is very important to support the improvement of the learning process. The errors found include errors in reading questions, understanding problems, and mathematical process errors that include transformation errors, process skills, and writing final answers. Teachers need to pay more attention to the early stages of understanding questions and ensure that students can master the skill process correctly in order to reduce errors in calculations and writing final answers. This study aims to obtain a description of the mathematical representation of grade VIII students of SMPN Model Terpadu Madani in solving comparative story problems in terms of gender. This type of research is qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of the study were 2 students of SMPN Model Terpadu Madani, namely 1 male student and 1 female student. Data collection techniques used in this study include written tests and interviews. The results of the study showed that male and female students used indicators of mathematical representation, namely verbal representation, symbolic representation, and visual representation when solving comparative story problems. The verbal representation of male and female students was able to write down the steps to solve mathematical problems according to the indicators. The symbolic representation used by male and female students was able to write equations, mathematical models, mathematical operations and solve problems involving mathematical expressions. The conclusion is that male and female students generally use visual representation, but there are differences between male and female students. Male students only use pictures to clarify while female students use pictures and tables to clarify and facilitate problem solving. This study aims to examine the effect of the Team Quiz method on student learning motivation in mathematics subjects in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Poso Pesisir Utara. This research design uses a quasiexperiment method consisting of two groups, namely the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class was class VIII B consisting of 26 students and the control class was class VIII A consisting of 28 students. Data were collected through a learning motivation questionnaire consisting of 30 statement items, which were used as pretest and posttest questionnaires in the Experimental class and posttest questionnaires in the control class. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive and non-parametric statistical techniques, specifically the Mann-Whitney test as hypothesis data analysis. Hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney test showed a significance value (Asymp. Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05. This indicates a significant difference in student learning motivation before and after the application of the Team Quiz method. Thus, it can be concluded that the Team Quiz method has an effect in increasing student learning motivation in mathematics learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Poso Pesisir Utara. This research aims to describe the mathematical representation of ninth grade students of Hidayatullah Palu Integral Junior High School in solving circle problems in terms of self-efficacy. This research method is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection is done by self efficacy questionnaire, written test, interview and documentation. Data validity uses member check, extended observation, and dependability. The results of this study indicate that subjects with high self efficacy can use all indicators of mathematical representation optimally, able to express their mathematical ideas in three representations namely visual representation, symbolic representation and verbal representation to solve problems from a problem. Students with moderate self efficacy can use all indicators of mathematical representation but not maximally. students with low self efficacy have not maximally fulfilled the indicators of visual mathematical representation ability and have not been able to fulfill the indicators of symbolic representation and verbal representation. Conclusion, students with high self efficacy have high representation skills, students with moderate self efficacy have moderate representation skills, and students with moderate self efficacy have moderate representation skills. with moderate self efficacy have moderate representation skills, and students with low self efficacy have high representation skills. students with low self efficacy have low representation ability. low. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil metakognisi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita peluang di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Tolitoli, ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Aspek metakognisi yang dianalisis meliputi perencanaan, pemantauan, dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua siswa, satu siswa laki-laki dan satu siswa perempuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis soal cerita peluang dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa laki-laki lebih menonjol dalam aspek perencanaan dan pemantauan, yaitu mampu merencanakan langkah penyelesaian secara sistematis dan melaksanakan prosedur pengerjaan dengan runtut. Sementara itu, siswa perempuan menunjukkan penguasaan pada ketiga aspek metakognisi: perencanaan, pemantauan, dan evaluasi. Siswa perempuan tidak hanya mampu merencanakan dan memantau langkah-langkah penyelesaian, tetapi juga mengecek kembali jawaban yang diperoleh dan menuliskan kesimpulan dengan jelas.Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan pembelajaran yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan metakognisi siswa, dengan memperhatikan perbedaan karakteristik antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Kata kunci: metakognisi, soal cerita peluang, jenis kelamin
