Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type numbered head together on students’ learning outcomes on circumference and area of geometry at grade 4 of Elementary School II Luhak Nan Duo. This research is quantitative research with experimental method and Quasi Experiment Design, it used Non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The data were analyzed using t-test. The results showed that the the average of post-test in experiment class was 77.4 and 69.4 in control class. Analysis of t-test both in experiment and control classes  was obtained tcount = 3.302 and ttable = 2.011 at a significant level of 0.05. Hence tcount>ttable then Ha was accepted. Thus it can be concluded that cooperative learning model type of Numbered Head Together  had positive effect on the circumference and area of geometry at grade 4  in Elementary School II Luhak Nan Duo.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of the use of learning models in the learning process on fraction material that causes students’ learning outcomes to be low. This study aims to fine out the effect of using Polya model on learning outcomes on multiplication and division problem in grade V SD group VI Akabiluru District. The research design was quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The sampel of the research was grades of SDN 02 Suayan. Moreover, the result showed that there was an influence on the use of Polya model on students’ learning outcomes. The result t-test on α 0.05 and df 16 of was obtained tcount (2,33) ≥ ttable (2.04) and the average experimental class was 70.3 and 46.1 in control class. Keywords : polya model, question of the story multiplication and division, learning outcomes.

Abstract

In elementary schools, at this time, the need for a learning model in integrated thematic learning that is suitable for students, especially during group discussions. This research starts from students who have not succeeded in exceeding the KKM, students are not seen actively learning, learning activities are also not visible because learning is still teacher-centered , and have not been seen working with his group of friends. And students do not understand the material that the teacher has. The Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative model is an alternative way to solve this problem. The cooperative model is a method used in grouping students to complete tasks with one common goal. Describing the NHT-type cooperative model when integrated thematic learning in primary schools is the aim of this study. While the method in this research is library research. Library research is carried out by connecting the problems found then processing the data and analyzing the data obtained from books or journals. After getting the data needed to check the data. The results of the research that have been analyzed by 25 journals show that on average they are more likely to use the NHT-type cooperative model according to Trianto (2011). As well as integrated thematic learning in elementary schools can improve learning outcomes, motivation, activities, skills, cooperation, understanding of students.
