Abstract

Shallots are a newly grown commodity by farmers in North Lampung Regency, necessitating a study on the Shallot Farming Development Strategy in this region. This research seeks to identify the internal and external elements affecting the advancement of shallot cultivation in North Lampung Regency and to devise a strategy for its development. The respondents were determined using a census, comprising 24 farms. This research employs a survey methodology, utilising analytical tools such as IFAS, EFAS, and SWOT. This research identifies internal characteristics, with strengths including (1) the preservation of shallot harvests; (2) the land's proximity to the residence; (3) the applicability of an intercropping system; and (4) the potential for seed recultivation. The deficiencies are (1) the absence of granary or warehouse facilities for the storage of harvested crops; (2) the necessity for appropriate water and fertiliser. Identify external factors: the opportunity presented by (1) the limited production of shallots in North Lampung Regency; (2) governmental support for facilities and infrastructure; and (3) the active involvement of agricultural extension workers in promoting shallot growing. The challenges include (1) pest and disease infestations affecting shallot plants and (2) the presence of comparable items from external regions. The strategy for advancing shallot cultivation in Abung Jayo Village employs the SO strategy, which includes: (1) optimising land utilisation by acquiring information on shallot cultivation techniques from extension agents, (2) preserving harvests through the diversification of processed shallot products, and (3) enhancing communication among farmers, government, and traders to establish a local shallot market.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of market structure on the profitability of the largest commercial banks in Indonesia during the 2021–2024 period. The main focus of the study is on the relationship between market concentration (CR), market share (MS), and its interaction with Return on Assets (ROA), with the Structure-Conduct-Performance (SCP) approach. The research method used a descriptive quantitative approach with panel data analysis on the 10 largest banks, covering more than 65% of the assets of the national banking industry. The estimation model used is the Random Effect Model, with control variables such as Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), total assets (ASSET), cost efficiency (CIR), and non-performing loans (NPL). The results showed that the CR and MS variables generally had a negative effect on ROA, while control variables such as LDR and ASSET had a significant positive effect. The interaction between MS and CR (MSCR) is also negative, suggesting that market dominance in a concentrated structure is not always advantageous. Implicitly, a bank's profitability is influenced more by operational efficiency and risk management than market forces. Therefore, regulators are advised to focus on improving efficiency through stricter supervisory policies, instead of encouraging market concentration as a means of improving banking performance.

Abstract

This study explores how learning methods and digital literacy influence students’ higher-order thinking skills within the context of natural and social science instruction at SDN Muktiwari 02. Developing higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) is imperative, given that these competencies empower students to navigate and solve problems arising in daily life. Students’ daily problems are inseparable from the transformation that has been reformed by integrating digital literacy. Therefore, the treatment for the control class and the experimental class was divided into two groups: the control class used conventional methods, and the experimental class used PjBL and digital literacy. This treatment resulted in a paired samples t-test using SPSS 27. The analysis of SPSS 27 results revealed a difference in pretest HOTS scores for students using conventional strategies and digital literacy, with an average score of 69.07 and a posttest score of 77.80, with the Ha decision accepted. There was a difference in pretest HOTS scores for students using PjBL strategies and digital literacy, with an average score of 69.07 and a posttest score of 85.20, with the Ha decision accepted. The PjBL learning model has a very significant or higher influence on higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) compared to conventional learning.

Abstract

Batik is an Indonesian cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2009. In the midst of modern industrial development, conventional batik production faces serious challenges related to environmental impacts from synthetic chemical dye use. This community service program aims to develop environmentally friendly batik by integrating proper financial analysis and financing strategies for SME craftspeople, while linking it to the sustainable tourism ecosystem. Financial studies include investment feasibility analysis (Net Present Value/NPV, Internal Rate of Return/IRR, and Payback Period), social capital-based financing structures, and potential access to green financing from financial institutions. Activities were carried out at Tapak Dara Village, Meteseh Sub-district, Tembalang District, Semarang City in February 2026, involving at least 30 batik artisans. Expected outcomes include improved financial literacy of craftspeople, development of bankable business models, at least 30% income growth, and the creation of high-value creative ecotourism packages. This program contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly goals 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
