Abstract

Lampung University is one of the state universities in Lampung Province with a variety of faculties and departments. One of which is the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences that includes the Department of Computer Science. The Department of Computer Science applies the process of compiling lecture devices into a system. The preparation of lecture equipment cannot be separated from the tools or equipment of teaching materials because they are needed in the learning process of each subject. At this time the process of compiling teaching materials on the web-based lecture filing information system in the Department of Computer Science has not been applied using the system. Therefore, with the addition of the feature of making teaching materials in the form of handouts with the Laravel framework on a web-based lecture filing information system, it is hoped that it can assist lecturers in preparing teaching materials and assist administrators, faculty, and students in finding teaching materials so that they can be printed. The conclusion of this research is that the feature of making teaching materials in the form of handouts with the Laravel framework on a web-based lecture filing information system has been successfully added.

Abstract

Machine Learning has been widely used in terms of predictions for analyzing datasets. One method of Machine Learning is Support Vector Machine (SVM). The house has an important role in the survival of human beings. With the times, many developers are competing to build housing. The purpose of this study is to predicted the housing cost using Support Vector Machine. The data in this research used the data of house in Bandar lampung, the price, the location and the building specification. The amount of data used 51 datas and 33 variables with regression and classification, also used 3 kernels and it's model, 12 times first trial and next 6 experiments done with fitur selection. The trial result was kernel regression polynomial model reached the highest R 2 that was 95,99% linear kernel and gaussian kernel reached R 2 90,99% and 81,43% each. While in accuration classification model trial is obtained in 8 class of gaussian kernel as big as 91,18%, and linear kernel and polynimonal kernel get an accuracy of 90,20% and 89,90%.

Abstract

During the protein formation process, there are post-translational modifications that provide additional properties and produce new R groups in the polypeptide chain. One of the results of post-translational modifications is glycosylation. Glycosylation reactions occur between protein and glucose at high concentrations. There are 3 categories of glycosylation found in the human body, namely N-glycosylation, O-glycosylation and C-glycosylation. To determine the functional role of glycosylation, that is by predicting the substrate of each glycosylation site. A computational approach is a way to predict the glycosylation site, using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. In this study there are 2 types of data, namely independent data and benchmark data. The features used are feature extraction and feature selection using Maximum Redundancy Minimum Relevance (MRMR) of 25, 50 and 75 columns. SVM classification test using 5-fold cross validation. The highest accuracy result lies in the use of the 75 column MRMR selection feature. In Independent N data, the greatest accuracy lies in the sigmoid kernel with a causation value of 86.66%, while for independent C data, the accuracy is 87.5% in the sigmoid kernel and for independent O data, the largest accuracy is 89.31% which is in the RBF kernel. For benchmark N data, the highest accuracy is 70.54% in the RBF kernel, for benchmark C data the greatest accuracy lies in the RBF kernel with a value of 95.06% and for benchmak O data it is in the RBF kernel with the greatest accuracy, which is 92.64%.

Abstract

California papaya is one of the varieties of papaya developed by the Bogor Agricultural Institute known as IPB-9. California papaya is widely cultivated by farmers in Indonesia because it is quite profitable, but this plant is not immune from disease. For this reason, farmers must understand the aspects of california papaya disease so that their hard work from california papaya farming brings satisfactory results. With the advancement of science and information technology today, farmers can find out information about california papaya disease and how to control it easily. This research produces an expert system application that can find out information about california papaya disease by using the forward chaining method. Farmers can use various features in this california papaya application. The first feature is disease diagnosis. In this feature, farmers will choose the symptoms that have been provided by the application, totaling 28 symptoms which will then be drawn conclusions in the form of results and ways to overcome the disease concluded. The second feature, the application provides a list of 9 diseases in california papaya so that farmers can find out in full about the disease and how to overcome it.

Abstract

In a public facility or private office where many people can get together, a fire detection device is a mandatory tool as an emergency alarm in the facility. However, the expense of the installation of the device is a troublesome matter. So, optimization is needed to minimize the number of these devices. The way to implement is to select the appropriate position to place the devices in public facilities. The research discussed the placement of the sensors in multi-story buildings. The multi-story buildings could be represented as cube composition graphs with the number of rooms, and the connectivity between the floor and its rooms was equal. The concept of this multi-story building was modeled into a generalized Petersen graph where a vertex represented a room, and an edge was the connectivity of rooms. The basis obtained on that metric dimension was represented as a sensor placed on the building. Then, the optimization of device placement was seen as determining the metric dimensions of the Petersen graph. In the research, the alternative sensor placements were computed using the graph metric dimension approach implemented in Python. The research successfully implements the metric dimension of  to  using Python code to obtain the alternative of its basis. A basic alternative indicates the location of the device placement like fire detectors, network access points, or other sensors inside a building.

Abstract

The processing system of the administrative information for lab works and problem exercises of the student at the Department of Computer Science, Universitas Lampung, is still carried out conventionally. In this manner, the data is physically stored in the form of recorded documents and leave them on the shelf. Sometimes, data collection in this form can be lost and require a longer time to manage. For this reason, a lab assistant’s information system is developed by the waterfall approach that runs on a web-based platform. The system can provide data and generate information about lab assistants and participants faster and more accurately. It is implemented using the framework Laravel and Black Box testing as a functional test of the system. The testing indicates that the system functions work to the software requirement specification.

Abstract

The choice of contraception is very important. Usually, the acceptors choose the contraceptive that is easiest to use even though the device is not necessarily in accordance with the existing variables, causing errors in the selection of contraceptives and resulting in the failure of the family planning program. This study aims to build a decision support system that can assist in the selection of contraceptives. This study uses the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method using 7 criteria variables and a web-based system built. The results of the research conducted indicate that the decision support system built can help provide contraceptive recommendations based on calculations using 7 criteria. Other tests show that the functions contained in the system have been running well according to user needs.

Abstract

Pertanian masih menjadi mata pencaharian sebagian besar tenaga kerja Indonesia, terutama yang tinggal di pedesaan. Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) adalah suatu wadah yang dapat dijadikan oleh perempuan sebagai kesempatan untuk berpartisipasi dalam pembangunan dibidang pertanian. Pembuatan pupuk organik cair dicoba diterapkan pada Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) di Tiyuh Marga Kencana, Kecamatan Tulang Bawang Udik, Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat. KWT di Tiyuh Marga Kencana merupakan kelompok perempuan/ibu rumah tangga dalam kegiatan yang produktif dibidang pertanian (budidaya, pengolahan dan usaha). Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertekad untuk menyosialisasikan kepada masyarakat tentang pemanfaatan sampah rumah tangga dengan pemanfaatan sampah organik menjadi POC dengan metode ember tumpuk. Ember Tumpuk adalah komposter sederhana yang dibuat dengan menyatukan 2 buah ember, komposter ini sangat cocok digunakan untuk mengolah limbah organik/sampah dapur rumah tangga.

Abstract

The minimum routing cost spanning tree (MRCST) is a spanning tree that minimizes the sum of pairwise distances between its vertices given a weighted graph. In this study, we use Campos Algorithm with slight modifications on the coefficient of spanning potential. Those algorithms were implemented on a random table problem data of complete graphs of order 10 to 100 in increments of 10. The goal is to find the diameter (the largest shortest path distance) and the maximum link (the maximum number of edges connecting two vertices) in the spanning tree solution of MRCST. The result shows that a slight modification of the spanning potential coefficients gives better solutions.

Abstract

Lampung University has many information systems with many different platforms and programming languages. This condition degraded the performance of each system. In this case study, we develop a web service that can increase collaboration between systems and between business units. Through a combination of Django REST Framework and OAuth 2.0 technology, it is shown that various platforms and applications can work together. While Django Rest Framework provides an excellent web service, OAuth strives to address the shortcomings of proprietary authentication protocols by creating universal and interoperable authorization mechanisms between service units. To prove the concepts, we implemented web service for an Android application client.Keywords: Web Service, Django REST Framework, OAuth 2.0, Android Application, Application Programming Interface
