Abstract

Rubber is an important plantation commodity as a source of income, employment and foreign exchange opportunities, as an engine of economic development in new centers within the rubber plantation environment. Rubber plant diseases generally cause economic losses to rubber plantations. Lack of knowledge of farmers to control rubber plant diseases can result in losses and ultimately reduce farmers' income. Therefore, it is necessary to build a system that can diagnose diseases like an expert or an expert. The method used in this system is the certainty factor method which is used to prove whether a fact is certain or uncertain. This method is very suitable for expert systems that diagnose uncertainty. After that, a system validity test is carried out which aims to test the ability of the expert system to identify diseases. Based on the test results, the highest disease score was tapping groove disease with a disease percentage of 94.96%, while the lowest disease percentage was red root fungus disease with a percentage of 79%, with an average test result above 75% so that it was concluded that the system can diagnose rubber plant diseases well in accordance with the results of the diagnosis obtained.

Abstract

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is a company engaged in land transportation. PT KAI employees work in units, one of which is the JJ unit in charge of recording and checking roads and railways. PT KAI (Persero) has implemented an e-Office Information System to facilitate employees' work, but the system does not fully support the JJ Unit. As a result, the JJ Unit has problems where there is a lack of time efficiency when recording work tools, staffing structures, and tracking data that still use Microsoft Excel. One solution to this problem was created: a web-based Rail Road and Bridge Unit Information System at PT KAI (Persero) Divre IV Tanjung Karang. The purpose of this research is to facilitate data searches and data updates needed in the JJ Unit. The stages of this research are data collection, system design, system development, and system testing. The result of this research is the information system of the Rail Road and Bridge Unit at PT KAI (Persero) Divre IV Tanjung Karang based on the Web. This information system was developed with PHP programming, supported by MySQL as the database. The Balsamiq MockUp application was used to design the system interface in the design phase. The system has been tested with BlackBox testing and is supported by results that are as expected. This information system has four levels of users: Senior Manager, Junior Manager, Head Office Staff, and users in each resort and station. Thus, it can be concluded that the Website-based Rail Road and Bridge Unit Information System has been successfully developed using the Waterfall method and using the PHP programming language assisted by MySQL as a database.

Abstract

This research was conducted to build a decision support system for employee potential assessment at SMK Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. Decision support system is made web based with 3 actors namely admin, employees and leaders. The data used comes from the Employee Work Target (SKP) data at SMK Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. The selection process is done by collecting employee data and employee performance values along with the criteria used. The data received is processed by the system by determining the priority of each criterion and doing the sum of the weights of each criterion value. The results of functional testing in the SPK Employee Potential Assessment is a compatible system on the computer being tested and all menus on the system are running well. The results of testing the system using Black Box Testing using 20 data employees of SMK Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. The conclusion of this research is that the Employee Potential Assessment Decision Support System can help the Head of SMK Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung to conduct a performance evaluation of employees with 100% accuracy. Thus, the SAW method is appropriately used in the Employee Potential Assessment Decision Support System.

Abstract

Provinsi Lampung sudah dikenal sebagai penghasil kopi terbaik di Indonesia. Proses pengolahan mulai dari buah kopi mentah, hingga menghasilkan kopi bubuk membutuhkan biaya yang akan dikeluarkan oleh petani kopi pada setiap siklus tanam dan panen tanaman kopi. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan oleh matematikawan Indonesian Mathematical Society wilayah DIY Jateng dan Sumatera Bagian Selatan. Pada kegiatan ini diadakan sosialisasi yang menawarkan solusi model matematika yaitu Model Economic Production Quantity (EPQ) untuk meminimumkan biaya total produksi biji kopi Lampung. Model ini digunakan untuk mengatur siklus produksi biji kopi dengan memperhitungkan komponen biaya pada persiapan produksi, proses produksi hingga produk sampai pada pembeli. Dengan kegiatan ini, para Petani Kopi Lampung dapat mengatur siklus tanam dan produksi biji kopi yang terbaik.

Abstract

The goal of the Multiperiod Degree Constrained Minimum Spanning Tree (MPDCMST) problem is to determine the smallest weight-spanning tree that satisfies the vertex installation criterion for each period and maintains the degree requirement in each vertex. This issue emerges as a network connection problem. The degree requirement indicates the reliability of each vertex, and the vertex connection/installation requirement denotes the priority vertices that must be inserted in the network within a specific time frame. The installation is split up into multiple phases/stages. This is because of various considerations such as severe weather, budgetary limitations, etc. In this research, two algorithms for solving the MPDCMST using probability hybridized with Prim’s modification, and edge analysis are proposed. The algorithms are implemented on the undirected complete graph of orders 10 to 100. The solutions are compared with some heuristics which are already in the literature. The results show that the proposed algorithms perform better.

Abstract

Sebagai tindak lanjut MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) antara Universitas Lampung dengan Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Lampung, khususnya BPS Kabupaten Pringsewu maka perlu dilakukan pembinaan berkesinambungan yang bertujuan agar perangkat desa di Kabupaten Pringsewu lebih memahami pentingnya data statistik serta berpartisipasi aktif dalam penyelenggaraan statistik desa. Berdasarkan analisis situasi di Desa Panutan, Kecamatan Pagelaran, Kabupaten Pringsewu dimana tampilan monografi di website desa (https://panutan-pringsewu.desa.id/) masih monoton, kurang menarik, dan belum merepresentasikan statistik desa secara lengkap. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pembinaan diseminasi dan website bagi perangkat desa di Kabupaten Pringsewu sebagai upaya penyelenggaraan statistik desa berkesinambungan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada 26 Juni 2024 menggunakan kombinasi metode ceramah, praktik, dan tanya jawab. Berdasarkan hasil kuisioner, 100% peserta menyatakan tertarik menggunakan perangkat lunak Canva dalam menyajikan infografis profil desa. Dalam hal kemudahan dalam menggunakan aplikasi Canva, sebanyak 62% mampu membuat infografis tanpa kendala dan sebanyak 38% masih mengalami kendala dalam mempraktikkan pembuatan infografis yang disebabkan oleh perangkat dan jaringan sinyal yang tidak mendukung.

Abstract

Proteins play a vital role in life as essential macromolecules, consisting of linear heteromeric biopolymers formed by amino acids covalently bonded through peptide bonds. They contribute to cell development and bolster the body's defense mechanisms. Post-translational modification processes, such as glycosylation, are necessary for proteins to function optimally. Glycosylation involves adding sugar groups to proteins, playing a critical role in various protein folding processes. Dysregulation of protein glycosylation can lead to diseases like Alzheimer's and cancer. Manual classification of glycosylated proteins is time-consuming, necessitating a faster approach. This study aims to expedite glycosylated protein classification using novel methods like AAindex, CTD, SABLE, hydrophobicity, and PseAAC for increased accuracy, comparing them with existing approaches. The dataset comprises protein sequences sourced from the openly accessible UniProt database. Results demonstrate that glycosylated protein prediction achieved 100% accuracy, surpassing previous approaches. Several features contributed to this improvement, with Hydrophobicity making a significant contribution at 24%, and PseAAC making the most significant contribution at 40% among the five extraction methods developed.

Abstract

Lampung has the only breeding of in situ butterflies engineered in Indonesia namely Gita Persada Butterfly Park, which has approximately 211 butterfly species. Butterflies can be classified according to patterns found on the wings of a butterfly. The weakness of the human eye in distinguishing patterns on butterflies is a foundation in building butterfly identification based on pattern recognition. This study uses 6 species of butterflies: Papilio memnon, Troides helena, Papilio nephelus, Cethosia penthesilea, Papilio peranthus, and Pachliopta aristolochiae. The butterfly dataset used is 600 images. The butterfly image used is in the form of the upper wing side. The pre-processing stage uses the method of scaling, segmentation, and grayscale. The feature extraction stage uses the canny edge detection method by applying smoothing, edge strength, edge direction, non maximum suppression, and hyterisis thresholding. The classification phase uses the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) method with values k = 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 23 obtained under the Rule of Thumb. The identification of butterfly require a classification time of 8 seconds. The highest accuracy is obtained from testing with a value of k = 5 by 80%.

Abstract

Dalam era globalisasi, pengembangan sektor ekonomi kreatif dan dukungan kepada Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu negara. Galeri Kalianda, sebuah UMKM yang memfokuskan pada kain Tapis khas Lampung, menghadapi tantangan dalam mempertahankan tradisi budaya sambil bersaing di pasar yang semakin kompetitif. Dua permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh Galeri Kalianda adalah ketiadaan situs web resmi dan katalog produk online. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah membantu Galeri Kalianda mengembangkan situs web resmi yang efektif dan menciptakan katalog produk online yang dapat diakses sepanjang waktu. Program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemasaran produk kain Tapis Lampung secara online, mendukung pertumbuhan Galeri Kalianda, serta memperkuat identitas kultural melalui platform digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penerjemahan bahasa Lampung dialek Api ke bahasa Indonesia menggunakan Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). Bahasa Lampung, salah satu bahasa daerah di Indonesia, terancam punah sehingga penting untuk dilestarikan dan dimanfaatkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model penerjemahan otomatis untuk memfasilitasi pembelajaran dan penggunaan bahasa Lampung. Dataset terdiri dari kalimat paralel bahasa Lampung dan bahasa Indonesia yang dibagi menjadi data pelatihan dan pengujian. Model LSTM memiliki lapisan embedding, LSTM, dan dense, dilatih dengan optimizer Adam dan fungsi loss categorical crossentropy. Evaluasi model menggunakan metrik BLEU menunjukkan kualitas terjemahan yang baik dengan skor BLEU tertinggi sekitar 0.8 untuk 1-grams, 0.75 untuk 1-2-grams, 0.65 untuk 1-3-grams, dan 0.55 untuk 1-4-grams pada set latih. Pada set uji, skor BLEU tercatat 0.5 untuk 1-grams, 0.35 untuk 1-2-grams, 0.25 untuk 1-3-grams, dan 0.2 untuk 1-4-grams. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa model mampu menangkap konteks bahasa dengan baik pada data pelatihan dan masih mempertahankan performa yang memadai pada data uji. Selama pelatihan, loss model tercatat mengalami penurunan yang konsisten, menandakan peningkatan kemampuan model dalam memprediksi terjemahan yang benar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LSTM dapat diterapkan untuk penerjemahan bahasa Lampung-Indonesia, dan pendekatan ini memiliki potensi besar untuk diterapkan pada bahasa daerah lainnya yang juga terancam punah. Dapat dilakukan perbaikan dan peningkatan pada penelitian ini, seperti penggunaan arsitektur model yang lebih kompleks, pemanfaatan dataset yang lebih besar dan bervariasi, serta penerapan teknik augmentasi data untuk meningkatkan kinerja model. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi referensi untuk penelitian lebih lanjut di bidang penerjemahan mesin dan pelestarian bahasa.
