Abstract

Stunting merupakan suatu kondisi terhambatnya pertumbuhan anak akibat kekurangan gizi kronis. Pendampingan Keluarga merupakan salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan dalam mencegah stunting. Program ini dilakukan di Desa Bayung Gede, Kintamani yang merupakan salah satu desa lokus Stunting di Bali. Program ini diawali dengan pelatihan pendamping keluarga dan dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan kepada keluarga binaan selama 6 bulan. Satu kelompok mahasiswa mendampingi satu keluarga binaan. Evaluasi peningkatan pemahaman keluarga dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest. Program dijalankan pada bulan September 2023 hingga Januari 2024 dengan sasaran 5 keluarga binaan di Desa Bayung Gede, Kintamani. Sebagian besar anak dalam keluarga binaan memiliki status gizi pendek berdasarkan tinggi badan per umur. Bentuk pendampingan keluarga yang diberikan meliputi identifikasi dan penyelesaian masalah, pemantauan status gizi, dan edukasi kesehatan terkait stunting. Program dikatakan berhasil karena mampu meningkatkan pemahaman keluarga dengan seluruh peserta berhasil mendapatkan nilai lebih dari 70 pada posttest. Untuk meningkatkan efektivitas program, ke depan diperlukan pelatihan yang berkelanjutan terhadap pendamping serta kolaborasi lintas sektor yaitu pemberi layanan kesehatan dan pendidikan.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is still a health problem in Indonesia, including in Bali. Dengue therapy has not been optimal so far, so that prevention efforts are an effective step in dealing with DHF cases. All of these community service activities were aimed to increase the knowledge and awareness of community living in densely populated settlements in the prevention and control of DHF vectors. The activities carried out included counseling through the media posters regarding DHF and its prevention as well as distribution of mosquito repellent plants to be planted in the yards of each activity participant's house. The activity took place from June to July 2023 and was attended by 35 activity participants. From the analysis of the pretest-posttest scores, this activity succeeded in significantly increasing the knowledge of the activity participants. This activity is expected to be a real implementation of dengue prevention in densely populated residential areas. Abstrak Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) hingga saat ini masih menjadi masalah kesehatan di Indonesia, termasuk di Bali. Terapi dengue hingga saat ini belum optimal, sehingga upaya pencegahan menjadi salah satu langkah efektif dalam penanggulangan kasus DBD. Seluruh kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran komunitas Sadar Sehat yang tinggal di pemukiman padat penduduk dalam pencegahan dan pengendalian vektor penyakit DBD. Kegiatan yang diselenggarakan meliputi penyuluhan melalui media poster mengenai DBD dan pencegahannya serta pembagian tanaman pengusir nyamuk untuk ditanam di pekarangan rumah masing-masing peserta kegiatan. Kegiatan berlangsung dari bulan Juni hingga Juli 2023 dan diikuti oleh 35 peserta kegiatan. Dari analisis nilai pretest-posttest kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta kegiatan secara signifikan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu menjadi implementasi nyata dalam penanggulangan DBD di kawasan pemukiman padat penduduk.

Abstract

Coffee is the most popular and traded drink in the world. The cultivar, environmental conditions, and agricultural management determine the physical quality, coffee taste, and chemical composition of coffee beans. The purpose of this community service was to improve the knowledge and skill level of the Triguna Karya group in terms of the technique of green bean storage; therefore, the quality and safety of the green beans can be maintained. Moreover, to increase the marketing skill strategy using a number of social media. The method used was survey, observation, mentoring, knowledge transfer, practice, documentation, and evaluation. The result showed that the group of Triguna Karya stored green coffee beans poorly in the warehouse, even though they have known postharvest handling and processing of coffee well. The group did not use temperature and humidity control during storage of green beans; therefore, they can be damaged and decrease in quality and safety. In general, the participant have understood about Facebook but less in how to use the Instagram and TikTok applications. Abstract

Latar belakang: Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) termasuk dalam masalah kesehatan kompleks dengan angka kematian yang tinggi. Penatalaksanaan yang adekuat hingga saat ini belum optimal, sehingga modalitas yang tersisa adalah pencegahan. Namun program pencegahan konvensional melalui gerakan 3M+ termasuk penggunaan larvasida konvensional belum sepenuhnya efektif menekan kejadian DBD. Salah satu alternatif yang potensial adalah pemanfaatan larvasida berbahan limbah organik yaitu eco-enzyme. Riset ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis potensi aktivitas larvasida dari eco-enzyme berbasis limbah kulit jeruk siam.Metode: Metode eksperimental berbasis post-test only controlled group dengan subjek penelitian berupa larva Aedes aegypti instar III yang masih bergerak aktif. Larva instar I dan II, larva mati, serta larva yang sudah berubah menjadi pupa dieksklusi. Uji larvasida dilakukan pada empat kelompok perlakuan dengan konsentrasi eco-enzyme sebesar 1,5%, 3%, 9%, dan 27%, serta satu kelompok kontrol tanpa pemberian eco-enzyme. Analisis dilakukan dengan menghitung jumlah larva yang hidup dan mati. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Kruskal Walis jika data tidak terdistribusi normal, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan analisis Probit untuk menentukan efektivitas larvasida.Hasil: Semakin tinggi konsentrasi eco-enzyme limbah kulit jeruk siam, maka angka mortalitas larva Aedes aegypti juga makin tinggi. Konsentrasi tertinggi yang diberikan adalah 27 % dengan hasil kematian total larva Aedes aegypti sebanyak 60 larva (100%). Sebaliknya, pada konsentrasi 1,5%, tidak ditemukan kematian larva (0%). Pada kelompok kontrol tanpa pemberian eco-enzyme juga tidak terdapat kematian larva Aedes aegypti. Uji analisis menemukan bahwa setiap konsentrasi perlakuan terhadap larva Aedes aegypti memiliki efek yang signifikan (P<0,05), dengan nilai LC50 sebesar 6,77 % dan LC99 adalah 13,72 %. Simpulan:  Eco-enzyme dengan bahan dasar limbah kulit jeruk siam memiliki potensi aktivitas larvasida untuk larva Aedes aegypti. ABSTRACT Title: Larvicide Activity of Eco-enzyme Derived From Siamese Orange Peel Waste (Citrus nobilis)Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a complex health problem with a high mortality rate. Adequate management has not been optimal to date, so the remaining modality is prevention. However, conventional prevention programs through the 3M+ movement, including the use of conventional larvicides, have not been fully effective in suppressing the incidence of dengue fever. One potential alternative is the use of organic waste-based larvicides, namely eco-enzymes. This research aims to analyze the potential larvicidal activity of eco-enzymes made from Siamese orange peel waste.Method: This study employed an experimental method with a post-test only controlled group design. The research subjects were actively moving Aedes aegypti larvae at the third instar stage. Larvae at instar I and II, dead larvae, and larvae that had developed into pupae were excluded. The larvicidal test was conducted on four treatment groups with eco-enzyme concentrations of 1.5%, 3%, 9%, and 27% as well as one control group without eco-enzyme exposure. Analysis was carried out by counting number of live and dead larvae. Data were analyzed using Kruskal Wallis if not normally distributed, followed by Probit analysis to determine larvicidal effectiveness. Result: The higher the concentration of eco-enzyme from Siamese orange peel waste, the higher the mortality rate of Aedes aegypti larvae. The highest concentration administered was 27%, resulting in a total of 60 dead Aedes aegypti larvae (100%). Conversely, at a concentration of 1.5%, no larval deaths were observed (0%). In the control group without eco-enzyme administration, there were also no deaths of Aedes aegypti larvae. The analysis test found that each treatment concentration against Aedes aegypti larvae had a significant effect (P<0.05), with an LC50 value of 6.77% and an LC99 value of 13.72%..Conclusion: Eco-enzyme derived from Siamese orange peel waste (Citrus nobilis) has potential larvicidal activity against Aedes aegypti larvae.

Abstract

Viral Nervous Necrosis (VNN) disease is one of the major causes of failure in grouper aquaculture activities. The pathogens attack the central nervous system, eyes retina, and reproductive organs. When the rainy season starts, it may generate lower water quality for aquaculture, which becomes a suitable condition for VNN infections in fry cantang grouper. For this reason, there is an emerged need to do the detection of the existence of Viral Nervous Necrosis (VNN) pathogen fry cantang grouper cultured at the rain season. Data analysis was carried out in descriptive ways that aim to make data are presented by the actual situation without giving any treatment so that it can be easily discussed with existing theory to conclude. The examination on the presence of Viral Nervous Necrosis (VNN) disease on fry cantang grouper lived at rain season was conducted using two methods which are conventional PCR and Real-time PCR. From 20 samples of fry cantang grouper taken for this study, 5 samples were detected positive Viral Nervous Necrosis (VNN) its equal to the prevalence of 25%. Histopathological observation on fry cantang grouper infected Viral Nervous Necrosis (VNN) show the appearance of vacuoles on ganglion cell layer, inner nuclear layer, and pigment epitel, a sign of lysis on the liver, vacuoles on the brain, necrosa, and hypertrophy on the brain, and the appearances of melano macrophage center on the kidney. The average water quality in the pond was reported at the temperature of 29.2 0C, salinity 33 ppt, and pH 8.3

Abstract

This study aims to determine the microbiological contamination in the main water source of the Muara Nusa Dua Reservoir, the Tukad Badung River, and to determine the microbiological quality of fresh Oreochromis niloticus caught in the Muara Nusa Dua Reservoir in Denpasar. The study was conducted in May-August 2019 at the Denpasar Veterinary Laboratory. The method used is a descriptive method that aims to describe or describe the condition of the Tukad Badung watershed which empties into the Muara Nusa Dua Reservoir (Estuary Dam). Objective tests include the total bacterial test, the Coliform test, and the Escherichia coli contamination test. Water quality measurements are also carried out as supporting data from this study. The results of the study stated that there was microbiological contamination in the water source of the Muara Nusa Dua Reservoir, the Tukad Badung river, which also had an impact on the waters of the Muara Nusa Dua Reservoir. Microbiological contamination research results showed the microbiological quality of ten samples of Oreochromis niloticus in the form of the highest total bacteria was at 2.2x104, the highest total Coliform was 1.9x104 and the highest Escherichia coli contamination was at 93 APM / g with an average reservoir water quality Muara Nusa Dua in the form of temperature 27.3 °C, salinity 0.208 ‰, degree of acidity (pH) 6.5, dissolved oxygen (DO) 5,97 ppm. Abstract

Ikan Tuna (Thunnus sp.) mempunyai kandungan gizi penting bagi tubuh manusia, terutama protein dan asam lemak omega 3. Salah satu bentuk olahan tuna yang diamati pada penelitian in yaitu ikan tuna segar bentuk loin. Unit Pengolahan Ikan (UPI) dalam menjamin produk hasil perikanan menerapkan GMP dan SSOP. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk megetahui mutu dari bahan baku ikan tuna hingga menjadi produk tuna loin di PT. Bahari Lancar Abadi. Metode deskriptif dilakukan dalam penelitian ini dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dimana data dikumpulkan dengan partisipasi aktif langsung terhadap implementasi atau penerapan Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) dan Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure (SSOP) serta melakukan pengujian organoleptik, pengujian kimia, pengujian mikrobiologi, pengujian air dan es. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PT. Bahari Lancar Abadi telah menerapkan sistem kelayakan dasar GMP dan SSOP yang telah memenuhi syarat, dan untuk pengujian organoleptik di peroleh rata – rata 8,5 hasil uji, pengujian kimia, pengujian mikrobiologi, pengujian air dan es telah memenuhi Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa PT. Bahari Lancar Abadi telah menerapkan 18 aspek GMP dan 8 kunci SSOP.

Abstract

This research is an empirical legal research because of the gap between the provisions and theories that exist with the legal facts that occur in society, about transactions of goods that cross the boundaries of a country has been regulated nationally by each country through certain procedures through the laws of the country -that. Against illegal business in the border area of the Republic of Indonesia with the Democratic Republic of East Timor, law enforcement must be carried out by law enforcement as an effort to harmonize concrete actualization with the applicable legal rules, with the national legal aspects of each country and agreed aspects of international law. The barriers and solutions to law enforcement against illegal business can be resolved through social and cultural, economic, political and security, while the solution that is used as an alternative is development in the border region specifically directed to accelerate the handling of the 3 fundamental problems faced by the border area, namely the delimitation aspect and Delineation of Boundaries, the aspect of affirming the national boundaries of the watershed area of the Republic of Indonesia with the State of Timor Leste, the aspect of the development gap is the fulfillment of economic infrastructure needs to foster opportunities for border areas to participate and compete in global markets and regional markets.

Abstract

This study uses an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a single factor, namely handling different fish to organoleptic quality histamine levels consisting of several levels of treatment such as: Handling of tuna at room temperature (control), Handling of mackerel tuna with addition of crushed ice 25% bb which produces a temperature of ±180C, Handling of tuna with the addition of people's salt (10% bb), Handling of mackerel tuna with a mixture of 12.5% ice and 5% salt of the people. The results of the study the effect of handling tuna made histamine levels differ greatly real. The amount of histamine at room temperature averaged 47.78 mg/100g, the amount of histamine in the treatment of crushed ice was 1:4 so that the temperature reached ±18°C averaged 11.30 mg/100g, the amount of histamine in the salt treatment of the people (10% bb) average of 31.00 mg/100g and the amount of histamine in the treatment of 50% mixed treatment B and 50% treatment C averaged 21.45 mg/100g. The effect of handling mackerel tuna makes organoleptic quality that is very significantly different based on appearance. The best appearance in the treatment of crushed ice is 1:4 so that it reaches a temperature of ±18°C of 8.00 with brilliant specifications rather reddish, strong scales, thin mucus. The effect of ear tuna handling results in very different organoleptic qualities based on the eye. The best eye condition in the treatment of 1:4 ice destruction so that the temperature reaches ±18°C at 7.722 with convex specifications, the cornea is somewhat foggy, the pupil is rather dim. The effect of handling mackerel tuna makes organoleptic quality very different based on texture. The texture conditions are best at 1:4 crushed ice treatment so that the temperature reaches ±18°C at 7.83 with elastic specifications. The effect of the handling of tuna produces different organoleptic qualities that are very real based on odor. The analysis showed that the smell was the best in the treatment of 1:4 crushed ice so that the temperature reached ±18°C at 7.778 with the specification of a soft fishy odor. Handling of mackerel tuna should use 1:4 crushed ice to reach a temperature of ±180C because it can maintain histamine levels and organoleptic quality of the fish as a whole.
