Abstract

ABSTRACTThe background of this research is the students’ ability of writing the report of observation’s result text is low, which one of the factors that cause it,  is sentence error. The purpose of this research is to describe the sentence error in the report of observation’s result text which is reviewed by these aspects (1) the structure of syntax’s function, (2) the deficiency of sentence’s element (3) the excrescent of the sentence’s element, (4) the error of reasoning arrangement. This type of the research is qualitative with the descriptive method. The instrument of the research is the reseracher himself. The data of this reseach is the error sentences.  The source of the data’s research is achieved from the report of observation’s result text of the VII 1 grade in SMP Negeri 12 Padang. The data is analyzed through these steps (1) Identifying the general description and data’s coding, (2) Data Inventory, (3) Identifying the forms of the sentence error, (4) Analyzing the sentence error and, (5) Concluding the result of the research. The results of this research as follows. First,the sentence error on the aspect of syntax structure is the error of the use of the predicate. Second, the sentence error on the deficiency of sentence’s element is there is no subject, lack of independepnt clause, lack of conjunction,  and there is no affix in the root that should be added by affix. Third, the sentence error on the excrescent of the sentence’s element is the overlap of the use of plural indicator, redundancy, and the inappropriate affix on the root. Fourth, The sentence error on reasoning arrangement is the meaning  of the sentence is not logical, and the error of the choice of words to explain the meaning of the sentence Key words : Sentence error, the report of observation’s result text.Kata Kunci: Kesalahan Kalimat, Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was conducted to describe the sentence errors in the exposition text in some aspects (1) the structure of syntactical function (2) the lack of sentence element (3) the surplus of sentence element (4) the diction (word selection), and (5) spelling (capital letters, writting word, and punctuation). It employed a descriptive qualitative method. The instrument of this study was the researcher herself. The data of this study was the wrong sentences of exposition text of the students at grade VII 7 of SMP Negeri 12 Padang. The data were collected by borrowing the students exposition text from the teacher and copying. The data were analyzed by (1) stoctaking the data (2) identifyng the sentence errors (3) analysing the sentence errors, and (4) concluding the result of this study. The result shows. First, the sentence errors on syntactical function is an inappropriate use of predikat. Second, the sentence errors on lack of sentence element are not available the subject, predikat, and conjunction. Third, the sentence errors on the surplus of sentence element are the overlapping use of plural and repetition of words. Fourth, the sentence errors on diction (word selection) are an inappropriate concept used and collocation. Fifth, the sentence errors on spelling are writing the capital letters, writing the basic words, writing the derivative words, writing the repetition of words, writing prefix di-, writing the abbreviation words, writing the foreign words, and the error use of punctuation suchlike full stop and comma. Kata kunci: kesalahan kalimat, teks eksposisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to describe the shape, strategy, and the context of use of personality strategies responded positively and negatively by the student in the learning process in class VII SMP Negeri 2 Painan. The research is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data in this study of speech acts teacher and student response to the learning process. The technique used for data collection is a recording technique. Based on the findings of research and discussion, we can conclude the following. There are four forms of speech acts directive used by teachers in the learning process, which ordered directive speech act, advise, demanding, and challenging. The fourth form of speech acts directive is spoken by using four strategies recalled, that speak frankly without further ado, speak frankly with the preamble of politeness positive, speak frankly with the preamble of politeness negative, and recalled vague in the context of the process learning and different atmosphere. Teacher’s speech act get a different response from the students. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study three. First, describe the type of speech act Indonesia language teacher declaration during the teaching and learning process at Ekasakti Padang high school. The second, describes the realization of the principle of politeness in speech acts of  the declaration  of indonesian teachers in the Ekasakti Padang high school. The third, describes the context of the specch acts used by the teacher during the teaching and learning process in Ekasakti Padang high school. Based on the result of the study there are three types of declarations speech act,  namely deciding, prohibiting, and permitting. of  the three types that are most often used by teachers in learning are speech acts decide. Then there are five courtesy principles that the teacher uses during learning, namely the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of praise, the maxim of agreement, and the maxim of conclusions. Of the four maxims which are the most dominant used by the teacher there is a maximal agreement. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the ability of students of class X SMAN 1 Gunung Talang in Solok regency writing anecdotes text low. One of the causes of the low quality of writing anecdotes it is the number of syntax errors. This study aimed to describe the syntax errors in the text anecdotal review of aspects, (1) the structure of syntactic function, (2) the adequacy element of the sentence, (3), the waste element of the sentence, (4) choice of words, (5) punctuation and spelling. The research is a qualitative descriptive method. This research data is wrong Indonesian words contained in the text of anecdotes works graders X SMAN 1 Gunung Talang in Solok regency. Data were analyzed based on the theory of error analysis and syntactic theory Indonesian. The research showed the following data: syntax errors in terms of structure function syntax, sentence errors in terms of the adequacy of the sentence elements, sentence errors in terms of wastefulness elements of sentences, syntax errors in terms of word choice and syntax errors in terms of punctuation and spelling. Kata kunci: kesalahan kalimat, teks anekdot

Abstract

The purpose of this research are four, (1) describe the error text of the sentence in the exposition in terms of structure function syntax, (2) describe the error in the text of the sentence in terms of wastage the elements of a sentence, (3) describe the errors the sentence in the text of the exposition in terms of word choice, and (4) describe the error text of the sentence in the exposition in terms of spelling grade X SMA Adabiah Padang. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method. Research data is the wrong phrase in the text of the exposition. Data collection was done through the study of documentation. Based on the findings of the research, the error text sentences in the exposition are in qualified students. Errors found there are four, (1) in terms of the structure of the function syntax in the form of a mandatory element of lack or absence of the item, (2) in terms of wastage elements of a sentence in the form of an overlap the use of predicate, konjungtor, the plural marker, and time, (3) in terms of the choice of words in the form of inaccuracy of the concept, the value of flavor, and the context of use, and (4) in terms of spelling in the form of inaccuracy of the wearing of capital letters, writing words, and punctuation.Kata kunci: kesalahan kalimat, teks eksposisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is describe the shape and strategy in activities of the discussion in class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Padang. This type of research is a qualitative method descriptive. Data in this study is the shape and strategy of said expresive of students is a discussion activity. Based on the findings of research, we can conclude things here. There are six of the said thisplays used students in the discussion, which is say thank you, to say i am sorry, praising, criticizing, angry and complaining. The six of the said expressive was told by using four strategies are recalled, namely speak frankly without a word, speak frankly with a word modesty of the positive, speak frankly with further good manners and speak vaguely in the discussion. Abstract

This research was conducted to describe (1) the realization of the principle of politeness by the Indonesian Lawyers Club host on TVONE to act questioning and (2) the context of the use of the principle of politeness in the act of said speech. This research type is qualitative research by using descriptive method. This research data is in the form of a questioning question done by the host of Indonesia Lawyers Club which aired during March 2016. The data source of this research is a video of ILC event on 01, 08, 15, 22 and 29 March 2016 which has been downloaded in social media youtube. The data analysis process is done with 3 steps. (1) identify data in the form of questioning, (2) classify data that realize the maxims of courtesy principles, and (3) describe the context of the use of principles of politeness in acts of speech asked. Based on the results of data analysis obtained two research findings. First, the principle of politeness realized by the ILC host during March 2016, found the use of 4 maxims, ie (a) 38 data maximization of wisdom, (b) 11 data maxim of praise, (c) 8 data maxim of humility, and (d) 33 data maximization of inference. Second, the context of the use of the principle of politeness in speech acts asks (a) higher and less familiar speakers tend to be used maxim of wisdom, (b) higher and higher speakers tend to be used maxim of wisdom, (c) speakers of equal position and unfamiliar is used maximally, and (d) lower-level speakers and not yet familiar tend to be used maxim of inference. Thus, it can be concluded that the realization of the principle of civility most often realized by ILC hosts is the maxim of wisdom that tends to be used in the context of lower-level speakers and not yet familiar.Keywords: Politeness Principle, Talkshow, Indonesia Lawyers Club

Abstract

This article was written to ( 1) the name parts of moeslim leader’s uniform of Minangkabau ( 2 ) to explain the meaning of name ( symbol ) of each moeslim leader’s Minangkabau in Kabupaten Solok. This research is qualitative research that used descriptive method. The technical to gather this data with observation, interview and library studies. Analysis data do with grouping, syncronyzed, differenciate the data and eliminate to the others group but not syncrone and also gather the meaning.  According this research found that the name parts of moeslim leader’s uniform Minangkabau in Kanagarian Kacang Kecamatan X Koto Singkarak Kabupaten Solok are: The head part is Saluak. The body part is baju hitam lapang, baju tidak bersaku, siba batanti/leher tidak berbuah, langan gadang, taburan banang emas, lilitan benang makau, cukia/ragi benang emas, motif pucuak rabuang. The trousers part is sarawa hitam gadang kaki. The accecories is Salempang, sisampiang, cawek, keris dan tungkek. The foot part is tarompa. Each name has a meaning leaders of the outfit, saluak symbolizes Minangkabau society is always consulted. Clothes and parts embodies the word leader is the result of collective consensus, the leaders are honest, patient, intelligent, and wise. Salempang implies sufficient in providing any prince in line with indigenous knowledge. Si sampiang and parts embodies the leaders knowledgeable and always helpful for others. Cawek meaning the leaders are patient and must protect its nephew. Keris symbolizes the tongue or speech of a leader. Tungkek/Stick meaning the elder person in a country and is obliged to maintain the prosperity of the country. Sarawa hitam gadang kaki implies that the prince always be on the right path and straight, and tarompa embodies a prince covered with kindness and all actions leaders must be resized. keywords: name, meaning, custom, Minangkabau

Abstract

This study was conducted to describe: (1) The difference in pronounce system and a vocabulary of Minangkabau in Northern Kambang sub- district,  Lengayang Distric,  of South Coastal Regency with General Minangkabau language. (2) the difference in the vocabulary of Minangkabau language in Northern Kambang sub-district,  Lengayang District,  of South Coastal Regency  with General Minangkabau language. The research is a qualitative study by using descriptive methods. Data were collected through a technical conversation with native speakers in North Kambang sub-district.  Analyzing data is carried out with the following steps. First, transcribe the informants’ speech that  have been recorded. Second, classifying the data of vocabulary differences in the pronounce system. Thirdly, concludes the different data based on the data that has been analyzed. Based on the results of the study, concluded the following. First, the differences in sound system of Minangkabau language in Northern Kambang sub-district, Lengayang District, South Coastal regency with the general Minangkabau language include: (1) the difference vocals consist of differences in vowel (a - u), (e - i), and ( i - a), (2) differences in the consonants made up the difference consonants (ø - h), (m - b), (n - ø), (ø - n), (η - ø), (η - n),  (n - ø), (n - n), (r - ø), (ø - r), (ʁ - h), (ʁ - r), (s - h), (w - ø), (w - r), and (y - ø), (3) the diphthong consists of the difference diphthongs (ɛ - ɛa), (u - ua), and (ur - ua), Second, the differences in Minangkabau’s vocabularies in Northern Kambang sub-district, Lengayang District,  South Coastal  regency with  the general Minangkabau language occur in: (a) verb, (b ) adjective, and (c) nouns.Keywords: phonology, sound system, vocabulary, minangkabau language
