Abstract

Education is crucial for everyone because it emphasises the importance of reading literacy, which is a skill that everyone should possess because it can help people learn new things and gain new insights from their previous reading. The aim of this study is to find out the teacher’s efforts in improving reading literacy with the SI PANCA extracurricular (Siswa Pandai Membaca) in classroom. The method used was a qualitative method with a phenomenological design, namely discussing the process and meaning of phenomena as the reality of the subject at Sekolah Dasar (SD) Muhammadiyah Wonorejo. Research data was collected using interviews, observation, and documentation. The points in the interview were efforts to increase reading literacy with SI PANCA, factors that influence SI PANCA, and solutions to overcome SI PANCA constraints. Points of observation included the objectives of SI PANCA, plans to improve reading literacy with SI PANCA, SI PANCA plans that help learning, and materials used in SI PANCA that can support the learning process. The results of this study indicated that the extracurricular SI PANCA programme had a great impact on teaching and learning activities because students become fluent readers and are independent readers of material that previously had to be read by the teacher, as well as an increase in reading literacy skills in students both at school and at home. In conclusion, the extracurricular SI PANCA at SD Muhammadiyah Wonorejo is going well with the progress of students’ abilities.

Abstract

Learning should take place in a fun way, where one of them uses IT learning media. Of the many teacher tasks in carrying out learning, the teacher also has problems, namely in using IT learning media. The purpose of this study was to analyze the teacher's problems in using IT media in the learning of 4th grade elementary school students. This study uses qualitative research with a phenonological approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study were school principals, teachers and fourth grade students. Data analysis techniques use source triangulation and method triangulation. The results of the study show that the problems are in class management, the minimum number of media in schools, media storage, lack of teacher knowledge and skills and teachers' hassles when teaching using IT media. To improve teacher professionalism, schools carry out workshops using sparkol videoscribe media and are given motivation so that teachers are even more enthusiastic about applying learning media.

Abstract

Sex education menjadi urgensi bagi perkembangan belajar peserta didik. Pembelajaran tersebut perlu menjadi bagian dalam pengetahuan yang ditransfer secara sadar di dalam kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pembelajaran sex education melalui penggunaan media komik pada anak kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru kelas V, kepala sekolah dan peserta didik kelas V. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar wawancara dan observasi. Keabsahan data di uji menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data interactive model, yaitu berupa reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor pendukung implementasi pembelajaran sex education melalui penggunaan media komik meningkatkan minat dan motivasi peserta didik kelas V serta meningkatkan antusias mereka dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran, sedangkan faktor penghambat implementasi pembelajaran sex education melalui penggunaan media komik terdapat pada peserta didik yang memiliki gaya belajar yang berbeda, paradigma yang tabu akan materi sex education baik orang tua maupun peserta didik, serta keterbatasan media komik yang disediakan. Solusi mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, yaitu dengan memanfaatkan media dan metode pembelajaran lain seperti audio visual, poster, roleplay, brainstroming, dan pembelajaran berbasis lapangan juga dilakukan sebagai pendamping media komik. Abstract

Indonesia is currently entering the 21st century, where almost all activities are side by side with technology, one of which is information that can be published on digital media and can be seen anywhere and at any time. The existence of digitalization, which is widespread throughout the world, gives rise to two opposing sides, namely challenges and opportunities. The use of digital technology can be a good opportunity in the world of education, namely by implementing digital-based literacy as an effort by educators to familiarize themselves with a culture of literacy and familiarize students with using digital technology wisely. With the implementation of digital literacy in schools, students are free to search for information from various sources independently. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of digital literacy in increasing the learning independence of fourth-grade students at SD N 1 Kradon, describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in the use of digital literacy in increasing the learning independence of fourth-grade students at SD N 1 Kradon, and describe solutions to overcome factors inhibiting the use of literacy. digital in increasing the learning independence of fourth-grade students at SD N 1 Kradon. This research is descriptive qualitative research, which is a research process to understand a phenomenon by creating a comprehensive general picture presented in the form of words. Therefore, the data collected in qualitative research is presented in the form of descriptive text or narrative data. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. Validity of data using source triangulation and techniques. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the implementation of digital literacy in schools can increase student learning independence. Implementation of digital literacy can increase students' learning motivation, responsibility, initiative, and self-confidence.

Abstract

Pojok baca merupakan ruang di sudut ruang kelas yang disusun secara menarik yang diisi bahan bacaan berupa buku, komik, dan lainnya guna menumbuhkan minat membaca dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) Pemanfaatan pojok baca kreatif, (2) Faktor pendukung dan penghambatan pemanfaatan pojok baca kreatif, (3) Solusi mengatasi faktor penghambatan pemanfaatan pojok baca kreatif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis profil pelajar pancasila siswa kelas atas SD Muhammadiyah 16 Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Objek penelitian yaitu pemanfaatan pojok baca, sedangkan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas atas SD Muhammadiyah 16 Surakarta. Validasi data diperiksa menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan tiga langkah yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa data dan informasi, antara lain: (1) Pemanfaatan pojok baca kreatif di SD Muhammadiyah 16 Surakarta membantu siswa kelas atas dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, mengisi waktu luang untuk kegiatan membaca, serta mengembangkan proyek P5 (Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila ); (2) Faktor pendukung dalam proses pemanfaatan pojok baca kreatif berasal dari banyaknya buku yang sudah rusak dan buku yang tidak dikembalikan setelah digunakan; (3) Solusi dari hambatan tersebut yaitu melakukan penjadwalan ke pojok baca dan bekerja sama dengan orang tua untuk mendaftarkan setiap kelas dengan tema yang telah ditentukan.

Abstract

Kurangnya keterampilan dan inovasi media yang diperlukan untuk mengajarkan materi pembelajaran Aksara Jawa merupakan masalah yang terjadi saat ini. Sedangkan, pembelajaran aksara jawa merupakan muatan lokal dari mata pelajaran bahasa jawa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana media kartu huruf digunakan untuk membantu siswa kelas III MIM PK Kartasura dalam mempelajari aksara jawa, serta faktor pendorong dan penghambatan penerapannya. Terakhir, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi terhadap faktor-faktor yang menghambat penggunaan media kartu dengan cara tersebut. Huruf dalam kurikulum MIM PK Kartasura kelas 3 Aksara jawa. Subyek penelitian adalah pengelola sekolah, pengajar bahasa jawa kelas 3, dan anak kelas 3 MIM PK Muhammadiyah Kartasura. Metodologi penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Dua puluh empat siswa kelas tiga dan satu instruktur bahasa jawa berpartisipasi dalam penelitian penulis. Data primer dan sekunder digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil wawancara terhadap seseorang (informan) sebagai data primer dan hasil observasi dalam pembelajaran bahasa jawa khususnya aksara jawa. Sedangkan data sekunder berupa dokumentasi dan dokumen-dokumen jurnal. Menggunakan metode pengumpulan data yang meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dari berbagai sumber antara lain siswa MIM PK Kartasura, pengajar, dan kepala sekolah. Model analisis interaktif yang digunakan untuk analisis data dalam penelitian ini diselesaikan dalam empat langkah: (1) pengumpulan data, (2) reduksi data, (3) penyajian data, dan (4) penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengajaran dengan media kartu huruf dapat membantu siswa mempelajari huruf aksara jawa dengan lebih cepat dan mudah. Selain itu, anak-anak yang menggunakan media kartu huruf menjadi terlibat, menikmati pelajaran, dan mampu terdorong dan bersemangat dalam mempelajarinya.

Abstract

Low student interest in learning is a cause that comes from teachers paying less attention to learning facilities for students at school, often we find that the learning that teachers provide to students is still very simple, this can affect student interest in carrying out learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, supporting factors and inhibiting factors of the application of pop up book media in learning IPAS material Let's Get Acquainted with Our Earth in grade V students of SDN 2 Kalirejo.  The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach design. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research place was conducted at SD Negeri 2 Kalirejo. The research time started from August 2023 to November 2023. Data validity uses triangulation of sources and techniques. Data analysis techniques use data analysis steps according to Miles and Huberman which consist of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusions. The results of this study indicate that by using Pop Up Book learning media on the learning IPAS, students look enthusiastic in participating in learning, students are more focused and active to answer the material presented, students feel happy with learning using pop up book media, the application of pop up book media has succeeded in motivating students, the material conveyed is easily understood by students.

Abstract

Difficulties that are often encountered when learning in lower grades are reading, writing and arithmetic which can be one of the factors inhibiting the learning process in class. The learning difficulties faced by students will greatly influence their academic results, because to achieve good academic results students also need to try hard in their studies. Reading and writing skills at elementary school level are very important in helping children understand how to convey the information they receive, while numeracy skills will support the development of children's logic and thinking abilities. The aim of this research is to describe the teacher's efforts in overcoming calistung learning difficulties in class I MI Muhammadiyah PK Wirogunan students. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the research show that teachers overcoming calistung learning difficulties include: a) seek support and enthusiasm for intense learning; b) using the media book Islamic Children's Loves to Read (AISM); c) instructors (teachers) develop cooperation towards students. Supporting factors include: a) a comfortable learning environment; b) support from the school. While the inhibiting factors; a) lack of concentration of student learning; b) lack of support from parents. Solutions to overcome inhibiting factors include; the teacher gives assignments to students who experience learning difficulties; teachers try to help students who experience learning difficulties; teachers apply varied learning methods according to students' personalities.

Abstract

Learning media has an influence on learning success. Suitable learning media must be adapted to the abilities and development of the students the teacher will teach, so teachers must adapt the learning media to the students' needs. The research objectives are: 1) to describe the planning for the application of image media to fifth grade students at SD Negeri 02 Gempolan in mathematics subjects; 2) describe the implementation of learning for class V students at SD Negeri 02 Gempolan using image media; 3) Describe the supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing image media in mathematics learning for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 02 Gempolan; 4) Describe a solution to overcome the factors inhibiting the application of image media to class V students at SD Negeri 02 Gempolan. SD Negeri 02 Gempolan, Kerjo conducted this research. The principal, teachers and fifth grade students were the subjects of this research. Interviews, observation and documentation are the methods used in data collection. This research uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods. Data validity is carried out using source triangulation techniques and technical triangulation techniques. The research results show that the use of image media is able to foster student enthusiasm in learning, so that image media that is managed optimally can improve mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Sekolah berperan penting dalam menguatkan nilai budaya literasi. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk mendeskripsikan terkait problematika guru dalam menumbuhkan budaya literasi membaca. Penulis mengangkat judul ini karena banyak peserta didik di SD Negeri Palur 5 yang masih mempunyai minat baca rendah. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari kurangnya minat peserta didik ke perpustakaan untuk membaca buku serta ada beberapa peserta didik yang belum lancar membaca baik kelas atas maupun kelas bawah. Saat diberikan waktu 15 menit sebelum belajar, peserta didik lebih asyik bermain dengan temannya. Oleh karena itu budaya literasi di SD Negeri Palur 5 perlu ditingkatkan lagi. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain fenomenologi. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa dalam pelaksanaan literasi membaca belum berjalan dengan baik karena dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal mencakup rendahnya minat baca peserta didik dan durasi yang digunakan terlalu cepat. Kemudian faktor eksternal yaitu buku yang ada di sekolah kurang lengkap, pojok baca yang ada di setiap kelas kurang menarik, kemampuan guru masih rendah, dan minimnya sarana dan prasarana. Solusi yang dilakukan yakni memperbaiki pojok baca agar lebih menarik, membuat buku hadir perpustakaan, membuat pohon literasi, dan adanya program majalah dinding kelas.
