Abstract

Abstract The objectives of this study are: 1) developing sound wave physics module based on REACT for class XI IPA, 2) testing the validation of sound wave physics module based on REACT for class XI IPA, 3) testing the effectiveness of sound wave physics module based on REACT for class XI IPA. This study uses research and development procedures according to Nieven (2006) which includes 3 stages, namely: (1) Preliminary reseach (2) Prototyping stage, and (3) Assessment stage. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets and formative tests in the form of a description of the pre-test and post-test questions. Based on the results of the expert validation analysis, the category of very valid validity with reliability coefficient of 95.71% and the results of the user validation analysis obtained the category of validity is very valid with reliability coefficient of 92.86%. The results of the field test analysis obtained an average N-Gain score of 0.71 so that the module was declared effective to be used in learning on sound wave material for class XI IPA. Abstract

The purpose of this research: 1) analyze the validity; 2) the effectivity of the contextual-based physics learning module on the subject of global warming for high school students. This research is research and development (R&D). The development model used refers to the Nieeven (2006) model which includes 3 stages, namely 1) preliminary research, 2) prototyping stage, 3) assessment stage. Data collection techniques used are interviews and literature study. The data analysis used is expert validation and practicality data analysis. Practical data analysis using quantitative descriptive. This data analysis technique is used to process the data obtained through a questionnaire in the form of a descriptive percentage. The percentage of data obtained from the lecturer's response questionnaire was calculated based on the Guttman scale. The results showed that: 1) expert validity was 3.77 with very valid criteria and with a reliability coefficient of 95%. While user validation shows very valid criteria with user validity results of 3.78 and with a reliability coefficient of 100%. Thus, this contextual-based physics module can be used as teaching material on global warming material. 2) The effectiveness of the calculated pretest and posttest results obtained an N-gain score of 0.79 which is included in the high category. So, the contextual-based physics learning module on the subject of global warming that was developed has effective criteria in improving student learning outcomes at SMAN 2 Jember, so it is suitable to be used as physics.

Abstract

Water quality in the process of ornamental fish cultivation plays an important role in creating an environment of life that is in accordance with the needs of ornamental fish. Acidity (pH) and water temperature are one of the important factors of ornamental fish growth. The purpose of this study is to describe how the design system builds arduino-based humidity and pH temperature measuring instruments. Review the validity of moisture temperature and water pH. Monitor the humidity temperature and pH of ornamental fish aquarium water to know the results of the same data with liturgy. This research is a research and development research, conducted in the Laboratory of Physics Education Study FKIP Jember University. The research time was carried out for four months. The samples used in this study were ornamental carp. Based on the analysis of data obtained, it can be concluded that, (1) The work of pH, temperature, and spouting systems based on Arduino Uno is made with sen0161-V2, DS18B20 and DHT-11 sensors and data appearance media namely LCD. (2) Rakaian system is then calibrated to state that the system can be used properly. Calibration includes Arduino-based pH, temperature and Humidity sensor calibration as well as LCD testing. (3) The data that has been found by the researcher and the data in the literature has a match. Keywords: water quality, Acidity (pH), water temperature, arduino-based.

Abstract

Physics learning at this time, show that the students only memorize the formulas without understanded the actual physical meaning, besides that the learning so far seems monotonous and does not attract students' interest and desire to learn. Science learning that is expected now is creative and innovative science learning is science learning that provides experiences related to students' daily lives. The concept of dynamic fluid is a concept that exists in the real world of students, but the object in dynamic fluid material is difficult to present directly in the class, an example of the application of dynamic fluid in everyday life namely the river. Irrigation in the Jenggawah area of Jember Regency is a place to be identified. This research aimed to identify the physical quantities of fluid in the gutter irrigation river in the Jenggawah area of Jember as strengthening the understanding of students' physics concepts. This research included descriptive research. There were two different measurement points, besides the observation of the type of water flow in the irrigation, as well as the average discharge in the river flow of Jenggawah irrigation gutter for one year from the UPT of Jenggawah Regional Water Resources. The results of identification of fluid physical quantities include irrigation width, sterophome path length, sterophome travel time through trajectory, cross-sectional area, flow velocity, discharge, and flow type. Based on research conducted at the UPT of Jenggawah Regional Water Resources in Jember, the water flowed to the irrigation has a different average discharge rate. Abstract

For making students’ understanding about content of knowledge can be done byincreasing their scientific explanatory skill, in which this skill can be done throughpractical work. This research is a quasi-experimental research which aims to examinethe effect of worksheets based on scientific explanation on direct current circuitmaterial towards students’ scientific explanatory skill in vocational school. Thisresearch was conducted at the even semester of 2018/2019 academic year in vocationalhigh school 2 Jember grade X DP 1 and X BKP in which each class consisted of 34students. This research was using data collection technique of test and documentation.The data analysis technique itself was using independent sample t-test by the SPSSprogram. The result of the independent sample t-test is the score of the scientificexplanation test was different between the experimental class and the control class.This result showed that there was an effect in the use of worksheets based on scientificexplanation theory on direct current circuit towards students’ scientific explanatoryskill in vocational school.Key word: direct current circuit, students worksheet, scientific explanation.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of guided inquiry learningmodel on the student cognitive learning outcomes of high school students on work andenergy subject. This research was used experimental method with designnonequivalent control group design. The population were all students of X class ofMIPA in SMA Negeri 4 Jember. The sample was obtained by purposive sampling areatechnique were X MIPA 5 as experiment class and X MIPA 3 as control class. Thedata was collected based on the student cognitive learning outcomes through pre-testand post-test scores. The data were analyzed using Independent Sample T-Test. Theresult showed that guided inquiry learning model with PhET Simulations has nosignificant effect on the student cognitive learning outcomes of high school students. Abstract

This research aimed to describe validation and effectiveness of interactivemultimedia and students’ response after the learning process was using interactivemultimedia accompanied drills on the subjects of pressure. This research includedresearch development to produce a product of media learning namely interactivemultimedia accompanied drills on the subjects of pressure in junior high schoolstudents. The development model used the Four-D (Define, Design, Develop, andDisseminate) model. The result of this research showed that assessments validator tointeractive multimedia was perfectly valid with the acquisition the percentage was88,65 %. In the developmental testing known that interactive multimedia was veryeffective used to improve students’ learning outcomes with the acquisition N-gain testwas 0,715 with was in the high category. In addition, the students’ response toward theinteractive multimedia had a positive and good response with the acquisition thepercentage of 87,95 %.Key word: interactive multimedia, drills, effectiveness, students’ response.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk pengaruh LKS dengan strategi inkuiri terbimbing berbasis penalaranterhadap keterampilan pengambilan keputusan siswa SMA pada materi energi terbarukan. Penelitianini merujuk pada model pengembangan Kemp. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pengamatan, dokumentasi, angket, dan wawancara.Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analiss N-Gain. Abstract

The aim of this research was to exmine the validity of LKS, examined the great improvement of critical thinking skills and examined the students’ responses to LKS. The development model of this research used Borg and Gall's which summarized into four stages: (1) preliminary study, (2) initial product development, (3) revision and validation, and (4) empirical and final product testing. The respondents of this study were the tenth grade students of SMAN Balung, and the total number was 34 students. Data collection techniques were obtained from observations, tests and questionnaires. The results exhibit that the LKS assisted by PhET simulation included in the validity category that is valid, with a large value of expert validation is 78,6% and user validation is 83,3%. Data analysis techniques of critical thingking skill by using N-gain obtained big increase to 0,51 which is included in moderte criterion. Futhermore, the last data collection technique was by questionnaires to obtain the students’ learning responses data using LKS assisted by PhET simulation. Data collection using percentage, the result obtained form thr average of all indicators obtained to 94% which come into very positive category. This means that the LKS assisted PhET simulation can be used in the classroom learning processKey word: critical thinking , LKS, PhET simulation,and student responses.

Abstract

Collaborative Creativitiy (CC) intructional model is instructional model to training student’s physics concept and scientific process skill with apply CC which describe procedures systematically and used to guide teachers to help students how to identify problems, exploring creative ideas, collaborative creativity, elaboration, and evaluation of physics concept and scientific process skill. The implementation of the instructional model will be more effectively done by utilizing the media realized in computer tecnology. The type of this research was an experimental research by post-test control group design. Population of the research was all student’s at SMAN 1 Pakusari. The technique to collect data was documentation, observation, interview, and tests.The results of this research were the averaage of student’s science process skills was 90,04% (good criteria) and the significant difference on the physics concept of student was 0,002 using T-Test SPSS 23. This reseacrh can be concluded: first, the average of student’s science process skills is in good criteria. Secondly, threre is a significant difference in concept governance of students who use Collaborative Creativitiy with Virtual Laboratory and who do not use Collaborative Creativitiy with Virtual Laboratory.Key word: Collaborative Creativity, Physics Concept, and Scientific Process Skill.
