Abstract

This research was carried out because there were problems regarding the exploitation of tourism business development in the cliff border area in Pecatu Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency. Exploitation that occurs like tourism business development. The tourism business is like accommodation and restaurants. So researchers are interested in researching on the topic. The research method used is qualitative analysis, with interview, observation and documentation techniques. Theories and concepts used are functional theories and concepts of exploitation, tourism policies, borderline cliffs and tourism businesses. The results of the study show that there are 157 tourism business buildings in Pecatu Village, and some of them are recorded using cliff borders. As for the dominant tourism business using a cliff border, namely hotel and restaurant accommodation businesses. From the violation, the government of Pecatu Village and Badung Regency Government gave a policy in the form of awig-awig and written regulations to regulate these violations. The conclusions in this study were the violation of tourism business development in Pecatu Village which uses a cliff border area. Massive businesses are being built in hotel and restaurant accommodation businesses. so that from this case the government of Pecatu Village and the Badung Regency Government issued a policy to regulate these violations so as not to occur again. Researchers suggest that they need to be given strict sanctions against offenders, or direct demolition by the Desa Adat, because the Desa Adat in Bali is feared by investors. Abstract

Tourism is one of the industry sectors that contribute to the economy in the form offoreign exchange for many countries. With the presence of tourism will be the creation of new jobs. The participation of local communities in the company existing in its territory rafting will give rise to a sense of belonging to a destination. This research aims to know the participation of local communities in the BMW company rafting in the village of Rendang. Method of data collection is done by the way of observasi, in- depth interviews, and the study of librarianship. The technique of determination of the informant is done by means of purposive sampling, this research included in the qualitative research generates data deskriftif. With the presence of tourism opportunities, then revealing the many job opportunities that are owned by local people. Especially on a rafting company BMW employs local people as employees. Abstract

This study aims to determine the forms of commodification in the development of the Okokan tradition as a tourist attraction in Kediri Village, Tabanan. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study using a ladder of citizen participation theory, product life cycle theory, and commodification theory. This study found that the level of community participation was in the form of consultation with participation between the community and the government still being passive. While the stages of developing the Okokan tradition are at a stage of growth, where the wider community is getting to know Okokan with promotions carried out and proven by the appearance of the Okokan at various events. The forms of commodification in the development of the Okokan tradition as tourist attractions include the processes of production, distribution, and consumption. Abstract

Tourism activities in Nusa Penida have experienced a very rapid increase in recent years, mainly in Jungutbatu Village, which is the village where Nusa Penida tourism began around 1970. After the transition from the seaweed farming activities in recent years, now the community relies on the tourism sector. The rapid development of marine tourism and the importance of this to the economy of the community of Jungutbatu Village, requires its management be carried out properly and sustainably. The purposes of this study were to determine the management of marine tourism in Jungutbatu Village through the application of four management functions (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling), and to analyze tourist perceptions on the application of sustainable tourism management in Jungutbatu Village. The research approach was descriptive qualitative and data collection methods were observation, interviews, questionnaires and literature study. The results of this study indicated that the management of marine tourism in the Jungutbatu Village was carried out by involving various parties such as the community, entrepreneurs, non-governmental organizations, and the government. The planning, organizing and actuating processes that involved and accommodated the interests of various parties built a sense of responsibility and awareness to participate in the controlling process. Good management led to a good perception of tourists who came to visit, which in turn affected satisfaction and then influenced loyalty to revisit or recommend the marine tourism area of Jungutbatu Village to others. Abstract

The development of Semarapura City Tourism through City Tour has not been running as expected, so it has not been able to increase foreign tourist arrivals and has not been able to improve the economy of the community. The research objective was to identify integrated development of City Tour City Semarapura tourism through the SHIP Approach. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection methods used in this study were observation and interviews. The theory used in this study is the Tourism Area Life-Cycle, explaining the position of development of Semarapura tourism. SHIP theory (systemic, holistic, interdiciplinary, and participatory) to describe and explain how the integrated development of City Tour in Semarapura City. The integrated form of City Tour tourism in Semarapura city is carried out by designing tourism models with improvements to the previous City Tour program and designing new tour packages, with additional classes for each package. Puppet painting class, weaving class, metal craft / kepeng money making class and brown sugar making class. The development of City Tour with the addition of tourist classes will provide experience for foreign tourists who visit and have a positive impact on the economy of the community through active participation from all stakeholders. Abstract

This study aims to examine the participation of local communities in the development of the Batur Geopark tourist area in Kintamani, Bangli Regency regarding the participation of local communities in the development of the Batur Geopark tourist area, the obstacles faced by local communities in the development of the Batur Geopark tourist area, and the efforts made by the Government in developing the tourist area Batur Geopark. In this study the data collected through interviews, observations, literature studies, documentation studies, and the Community then analyzed the data using qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques. The presentation of data analysis in this study was carried out qualitatively through verbal delivery with interpretative descriptive techniques. The results of this study indicate that in the development of the Batur Geopark tourist area there are still several obstacles faced in its development. The government's efforts in developing the Batur Geopark tourist area are: the formation of a tourism awareness group, tightening permits for facility construction, establishing a management agency, procuring tourism facilities, improving the road infrastructure, structuring material excavation at the foot of Mount Batur, holding promotions, and providing tourism training. The forms of community participation in the development of the Batur Geopark tourist area are: preserving the biodiversity of flora and fauna, building tourism facilities, developing the typical Kintamani major culinary, cultural preservation, taking jobs in the tourism sector, nature conservation, and the formation of security officers. Abstract

The phenomenon of Mount Agung eruption has a negative impact on Ubud tourism. The impact of this event was greater than the 2002 Bali bombing. Generally, governments and tourism actors in Ubud have no yet a specific management to reduce the negative impact of Mount Agung eruptions. This research is qualitative descriptive method approach with case study research. Primary data in this study were obtained from interviews with informants namely; government, tourism institutions (NGOs) and tourism industry players in Ubud. Researchers also used online desk research to collect the secondary data that already exists on the internet from trusted sources in the form of public documents (images, e-news), or personal documents (e-mail, work reports and results of minute meetings). The result of this study, there were obtained four stages of crisis handling carried out by Ubud’s tourism actors namely 4R such as, reduction, readiness, response, and recovery. To minimize the negative impact of Mount Agung eruption, stakeholder needs synergetic all elements such government, non-government organizations (NGOs), industry actors, communities and other stakeholders to keep tourism sector remains conducive. Abstract

Waturaka Village, East Nusa Tenggara Province, has a rich tourist attractions, but they have not been managed optimally. Thi article analyses the village tourism potential and set strategies to develop tourist attarctions of the village. Data collection was conducted through observation, interview, and documentation study. Interview was conducted with as many as 25 people and was divided into four categories including representative of government o cers, NGO activists, members of tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis), and villagers. Data were analyzed by using SWOT techniques (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threat). The results shows that the main potential tourist attractions are Murukeba Waterfall and agro- tourism and the development is in the involvement stage. S-O strategy (Strength-Opportunities) is applied by using strength to take advantage of opportunities. ST Strategy (Strength- Threat) is applied by utilizing strength to overcome the threat. WO (Weakness-Opportunities) strategy is applied to minimize the weaknesses to take advantage of opportunities. WT strategy (Weakness-Threat) is conducted to minimize weaknesses to avoid threats.

Abstract

The paradigm of developing alternative tourism is a development option for Bali Aga village as a tourism village. This paper aims at investigating form of alternative tourism implementation in Bali Aga Village valued by its tourist activities. This research focuses on tourist aspects including the importance of culture, motives for travelling (what they do on holiday and how they feel and behave) such as participating with the local people making bamboo weaving, they felt like family members. Because of the interaction that makes tourists and local people very closely filled with a sense of kinship. The importance of this research is to determine how much the characteristics of alternative tourism have been implemented in Bali Aga village. This research is a qualitative research. Data were taken by administering purposive sampling technique. The results of the study are used as a basis for describing the application of alternative tourism concepts in two villages of Bali Aga, namely Pedawa Village and Sidatapa Village, Buleleng Regency. The study shows that (1) tourists really like the culture that is owned by the community, (2) the purpose of visiting tourists does have a purpose to get to know the culture of the community and be involved in people's lives; (3) visiting tourists live in the home of the Bali Aga village community. Thus, the totality of community involvement as actors of tourist service providers has been able to show the main characteristics of alternative tourism.
