Abstract

The learning model that has been applied to the learning process in schools is a direct teaching model. In this learning model, teachers only provide concepts and students only accept these concepts. Although students have been given the opportunity to ask questions, in reality only a few are doing it. This is because many students do not master the material about the arrangement of the modified bun area, so they are afraid or confused about what will be asked, besides the students are less enthusiastic and less active in the classroom which then results in less optimal student learning outcomes. Because this learning is taught step by step, the demonstration is very dependent on students' observation skills. One alternative learning model that allows the development of students' thinking skills (reasoning, communication, and connections) in solving problems in the learning of the Modified Regional Bun Reorganization is Problem Based Learning (PBM). This type of research used in this study is experimental research with 2x2 factorial design. The sampling technique used in this study is a non-probability sampling (quota sampling). Data collection techniques in this study used tests of thinking ability, performance tests, and observations. The results of the study can be concluded that the use of PBM models is very appropriate to be used to improve student learning outcomes compared to using direct learning models with regard to facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

This study was used to determine the feasibility of the instruments before being used for further research. This study calculates the results of the validation of three validators who are experts in their fields using arithmetic averages, the validated instruments are: (1) the syllabus gets a score of 92.67%; (2) Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) scored 94.4%; (3) The Knowledge Assessment Instrument received a score of 93.36%; (4) The skill assessment instrument got a score of 93.31%; (5) The attitude assessment instrument got a score of 96.89%; (6) The Project Based Learning module received a score of 93.1%. In addition, this study also calculates the validity of the items, the differentiability of the items, the level of difficulty of the items and the reliability test of the items. This question consists of 30 items that have been tested on 15 students to find out the results of the calculation: (7) the validity of the items obtained a significance level value (É‘) 0.05; (8) the level of difficulty of the items obtained a percentage of 16.67 for the easy question category, 70% for the medium question category, and 13.33% for the difficult question category; (9) The differentiating power of the items has very good criteria; and (10) the reliability of the items got a score of 0.753. From the calculation results that have been mentioned, it can be stated that the instrument of the influence of project-based learning models on learning outcomes on the basic competencies of commercial hair trimming is declared feasible and can be used for further research.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the teacher's perception of gender towards gender-responsive learning. This research with a quantitative approach uses a questionnaire data collection method (questionnaire) consisting of a questionnaire on teacher perceptions of gender, teacher attitudes towards students, interaction in learning, and gender-responsive learning. The questionnaire uses a Likert scale with four answer choices. From the results of the calculation of the data, it can be seen that the mean value of teachers' perceptions of gender at SMK Negeri 8 Surabaya is 84.87 in the 76-90 interval which means that teachers' perceptions of gender towards responsive Hender learning are classified as "good". In this case, the teacher's perception of gender at SMK Negeri 8 Surabaya can influence well, providing equality in access, control, participation, and benefits for male and female students in a balanced way.

Abstract

Pembelajaran tata rias wajah fantasi membutuhkan tingkat kreativitas yang tinggi serta kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam memecahkan masalah. Model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL) menjadi pendekatan yang tepat karena mendorong siswa untuk belajar aktif melalui penyelesaian masalah nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas penerapan model PBL dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar, minat, dan motivasi siswa kelas XI SMKN di Surabaya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari satu kali pertemuan yang mencakup empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes dan angket, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis butir soal, uji normalitas, uji paired t-test, analisis N-Gain, dan Effect Size (Cohen’s d). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam aspek kognitif dan psikomotorik, dengan rata-rata nilai kognitif meningkat dari 0,61 menjadi 0,69, serta nilai psikomotorik dari 8,02 menjadi 8,46. Minat belajar siswa juga meningkat dari 91% menjadi 96%, sedangkan motivasi belajar meningkat dari 88% menjadi 90%; keduanya berada pada kategori sangat baik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi akademik dan keterlibatan belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran tata rias wajah fantasi.

Abstract

Care cosmetics must contain preservatives in their formulation with the aim of protecting the product and the user. However, there is a misunderstanding towards cosmetic preservatives which is paraben. The purpose of this study is to 1) determine the level of knowledge of female students about paraben in cosmetics; 2) determine the attitudes of choosing skincare cosmetics; 3) determine the relation between the level of knowledge and attitudes. The research method used is a correlation study with a quantitative approach. The population in this study is female students of Cosmetology Education at Unesa and the sample in this study is 103 female students of Cosmetology Education at Unesa who have taken the cosmetology course. This study uses Purposive Sampling technique. The research procedure includes preparing research instruments such as questions and questionnaires, distributing questions and questionnaires to respondents, and evaluating answers from respondents. The data analysis technique used is the chi-square test to measure the relation between knowledge and attitudes. The results of the study show that 78.28% of respondents have high knowledge, then 66.95% of respondents have good attitudes of choosing cosmetics, and the Asymptotic significance value (2-sided) is 0.0001 which is below 0.5, indicating that knowledge has a significant relations with attitudes. Thus, the high level of knowledge of Cosmetology Education students about paraben substances is related to the good attitudes of choosing skincare cosmetics.Keywords: Knowledge, Attitudes Of Choosing, Paraben, Relations

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tepung buah pare dan cream original lulur merupakan bahan yang digunakan untuk membuat lulur perawatan tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui hasil jadi lulur perawatan tubuh dinilai dari sifat organoleptik yang meliputi aroma, warna, dan kekentalan. 2) mengetahui hasil jadi lulur perawatan tubuh yang paling disukai dinilai dari sifat organoleptik yang meliputi aroma, warna dan kekentalan. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan proporsi tepung buah pare dan cream original lulur sebanyak 20%:80%, 30%:70%, 40%:60%, dan 50%:50%. Penelitian ini memiliki tiga variabel yaitu: 1) Variabel bebas yaitu jumlah tepung buah pare dan cream original lulur pada lulur perawatan tubuh, 2) Variabel terikat yaitu hasil jadi lulur perawatan tubuh dilihat dari sifat organoleptik (aroma, warna, dan kekentalan), 3) Variabel kontrol yaitu waktu proses mengerjakan, kualitas buah pare dan cream original lulur, peralatan yang digunakan dalam pembuatan lulur perawatan tubuh harus bersih dan sesuai fungsinya, dan pembuatan lulur perawatan tubuh dikerjakan oleh peneliti. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi melalui uji organoleptik yang dilakukan oleh 30 panelis, data hasil uji organoleptik dianalisis dengan bantuan program SPSS menggunakan uji anava tunggal. Berdasarkan hasil analisis anava tunggal diketahui bahwa secara keseluruhan produk X1, X2, X3, dan X4 terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada warna, kekentalan, dan tingkat kesukaan, tapi tidak berlaku pada aroma. Hasil jadi lulur pare adalah produk berupa aroma, warna, dan kekentalan. Aroma yang dihasilkan oleh penggunaan tepung buah pare menyebabkan aroma tajam, karena terdapat kandungan asam butirat. Warna yang dihasilkan, karena kandungan feofitin pada tepung buah pare yang menyebabkan warna lulur terlihat coklat. Kekentalan lulur dipengaruhi oleh tepung buah pare, karena kandungan asam stearat. Hasil lulur yang disukai pada produk lulur pare dengan proporsi tepung buah pare 30% dan cream original lulur 70%, karena memiliki kriteria lulur terbaik dengan aroma tajam yang dianggap beraroma menyengat, tercium bau asam, tidak menyebabkan pusing dan mual. Berwarna sienna, dengan lulur terlihat coklat dan memiliki kekentalan yang cukup padat, dengan bentuk agak padat, lembab, lembek dan lembut. Kunci: Lulur Perawatan Tubuh, Tepung Buah Pare dan Cream Original Lulur. ABSTRACT Bitter gourd powder and cream original scrub are materials which are use to make body care scrub. The research aims: (1) to know final result of body care scrub assessed by its organoleptic nature comprising flavor, color, and consistency; (2) to know final result of the most favorite body care scrub assessed by its organoleptic natures comprising flavor, color, and consistency. The research constitutes an experimental research with proportion of bitter gourd powder and cream original 20%:80%, 30%:70%, 40%:60%, and 50%:50%. This research has three variables:1) independent variable: bitter gourd powder and cream original scrub amounts in body care scrub, 2) dependent variable: result final of body care scrub considered from organoleptic nature (flavor, color, consistency, and level of preference), and 3) control variable: production process period, quality of bitter gourd and cream original scrub. Instruments used in producing body care scrub should be clean and the match with the function. And body care scrub was conducted by the writer. Data collection is the by use observation method through organoleptic test conducted by 30 panels then the result was analyzed by using SPSS program applying single ANOVA test. Based on the result of single ANOVA test note that the overall product X1, X2, X3, and X4 are significant differences in color, consistency, and level of preference, but does not apply to the flavor. Bitter gourd the results so scrubs are products such as flavor, color, and consistency. Scent produced by the use of flour bitter gourd cause sharp flavor, because there butyric acid content. The resulting color, because the content of the flour feofitin bitter gourd the cause of brown scrub colors. Consistency is affected by flour scrub bitter gourd, because stearic acid content. Results preferred scrubs on scrubs products bitter gourd the proportion bitter gourd powder and cream original scrub is 30% and 70%, because it has the best body scrub with criteria considered sharp flavor scented pungent, sour smell, does not cause dizziness and nausea. Sienna colored, with a look chocolate scrub and have a fairly solid consistency, very slightly dense, moist, soft and tender. Keywords: body care scrub, bitter gourd powder, and cream original scrubh

Abstract

Keriting rambut desain adalah proses pengeritingan yang dilakukan dengan menerapkan berbagai teknik penggulungan ataupun dengan menggunakan alat penggulung (rotto), untuk menghasilkan berbagai variasi ikal sesuai dengan desain ikal yang diinginkan. Magic roller adalah alat penggulung rambut terbaru. Penggunaan alat ini lebih mudah dan praktis dari rotto karena tidak perlu melakukan penggulungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui hasil pengeritingan rambut desain dengan menggunakan rotto. (2) Mengetahui hasil pengeritingan rambut desain dengan menggunakan magic roller. (3) Mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan jenis alat penggulung terhadap hasil pengeritingan rambut desain antara rotto dan magic roller. Jenis penelitian ini tergolong dalam penelitian eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi dan metode dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik t-test dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 menggunakan perhitungan statistik melalui komputer yaitu independent-sample t test dengan program SPSS 16. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ha ditolak yakni tidak ada pengaruh penggunaan jenis alat penggulung terhadap hasil pengeritingan rambut desain antara rotto dan magic roller. Dari perhitungan statistik didapat P = 0,903 yang berarti lebih besar dari 0,05 (tidak signifikasi). Dari kedua jenis alat penggulung pengeritingan rambut desain didapat nilai rata-rata untuk rotto 3,36 dan magic roller dengan nilai rata-rata 3,35. Kata Kunci: Alat Penggulung, Rotto, Magic Roller Abstract Designed hair curling is a curling process conducted by applied many rolling technique or by using roller (rotto), in order to resulting many curl variation as desired curl design. Magic roller is newest hair roller. The use of this tool easier and practically more than rotto because it no needed rolling perform. The purposes of this research were (1) To know the result of designed hair curling by using rotto. (2) To know the result of designed hair curling by using magic roller. (3) To know the influence of roller type application toward result of designed hair curling between rotto and magic roller. Type of this research was included in experimental research. Data collecting technique used were observation method and documentation. In this research involved 20 observers. Data analysis used was t-test technique with significance 0.05 using statistic calculation by computer that was independent-sample t-test with SPSS 16. The result show that Ha rejected, it means there were no influence of roller type application toward result of designed hair curling between rotto and magic roller. From statistic calculation obtained P = 0.903 which mean more that 0.05 (not significant). From two types of roller designed hair curling obtained mean for rotto 3.36 and magic roller 3.35. Abstract

Pendidikan adalah salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas SDM. Upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia itu tidak hanya melalui pendidikan formal saja namun juga bisa melalui pendidikan non formal atau pendidikan luar sekolah. Salah satu pendidikan luar sekolah yaitu pelatihan keterampilan yang bisa diberikan pada anak-anak yang putus sekolah atau anak-anak pada panti asuhan. Pelatihan yang tepat diberikan yaitu tentang tata rias wajah dan penataan jilbab dengan menggunakan hand out sebagai perangkat pelatihannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah, 1) mengkaji aktivitas santriwati dalam pelatihan 2) mengkaji hasil praktek tata rias wajah dalam pelatihan 3) mengkaji hasil praktek penataan jilbab dalam pelatihan 4) mengkaji respon santriwati dalam pelatihan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian one shoot case study. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi aktivitas peserta, rubrik kinerja penilaian tata rias wajah, rubrik kinerja penilaian penataan jilbab, dan lembar angket. Sasaran penelitian adalah santriwati panti asuhan yatim pondok pesantren karangasem sebanyak 15 orang. Hasil penelitian didapat sebagai berikut 1) aktivitas peserta rata-rata tertinggi yaitu nilai 4 dan terendah 3 yang merupakan kategori sangat baik dan baik 2) Hasil praktek tata rias wajah terdapat 2 peserta yang mendapat nilai kategori baik dan 13 peserta baik sekali, jika diprosentase terdapat 13,33% mendapat kategori baik dan 86,67% mendapat kategori baik sekali 3) Hasil praktek penataan jilbab terdapat 2 peserta yang mendapat nilai kategori baik dan 13 peserta baik sekali, jika diprosentase terdapat 13,37% mendapat kategori baik dan 86,67% mendapat kategori baik sekali4) Hasil respon peserta dari 10 aspek, 4 aspek seluruh peserta menyatakan setuju dan sangat setuju dan pada 6 aspek terdapat beberapa peserta yang menyatakan kurang setuju dan selebihnya setuju dan sangat setuju. kata kunci : Perangkat pelatihan, pelatihan, tata tias wajah, penataan jilbab. Abstract Education is an effort to improve human resource quality. This effort to improve human resource is not only through formal education, but it could be through non formal education or out of school education. One out of school education is skills training which could be given to the dropout school children or children at orphanage. Training given were make up and hijab styling by using handout as training set. The purposed of this research were, 1) reviewing girl student activity at training, 2) reviewing result of make up practiced at training, 3) reviewing result of hijab styling practiced at training, 4) reviewing girl student response at training. This research was pre-experimental research with research design one shoot case study. Instruments used were trainee activity observation sheet, assessment rubric of face makeup performance, assessment rubric of hijab styling performance, and questionnaire. Object of this research were girl students in orphanage boarding school of Karangasem as many 15 students. Results obtained are following: 1) the highest mean trainee activity was 4 and the lowest was 3 which were very good category and good category, 2) practical result of face makeup were 2 girls students obtained score in good category and 13 trainee were very good, if in percentage there were 13,33% have good category and 86,67% have very good category, 3) practical result of hijab styling were 2 girls students have good category score and 13 trainee were very good, if in percentage there were 13,33% have good category and 86,67% have very good category, 4) result of trainee response of 10 aspects, in 4 aspects all trainee stated agree and very agree and in 6 aspects some trainee stated less agree and remains agree and very agree.
