Abstract

The use of fossil fuels has resulted in the emission of greenhouse gases which can trigger global warming. In addition, fossil energy reserves that continue to decrease also raise concerns regarding aspects of their reselience and sustainability. Therefore, new and renewble energy must be developed immediately. The use of biomass as an alternative fuel for Steam Power Plant (PLTU) is in line with Indonesia’s efforts towards net zero emission in the future. In addition to increasing the contribution of renewable energy to the national energy mix, cofiring will also have a positive impact on the development of the circular economy as it can open up employment and business opportunities in the biomass sector, especially those based on garbage and waste. This research aims to determine the value of moisture content, heating value, combustion rate, and electrical energy produced from bamboo twigs and coconut shell waste with different composition variation. The method used in this research is an experimental method in which a bomb calorimeter is used to determine the heating, and a biomass stove is used to determine the combustion rate. The research finding reveals that the best samples for utilizing bamboo and coconut shell waste in the production of bio-briquettes as an alternative energy source are the variety of 200 grams of shell charcoal and 10 grams sago adhesive (sample 9). It is the best sample due to it has moisture content value of 6.38%, heating value of 5663.9 cal/gram, combustion rate is 0.227 gram/minute, and the electrical energy generated by converting the heating value to kWh is 6.5857 kWh/gram. In reference to SNI 01-6235-2000, the moisture content should not be more than 8%, and the minimum heating value is 5000 cal/g.

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as a transformative technology that is revolutionizing various industries and everyday life. This study aims to explore current trends and challenges in IoT research and publication. The research method employed in this study begins with a blind search across various international journal databases, followed by ranking the minimum and maximum percentages of each IoT subject. The journal databases used include IEEE, Science Direct, Taylor and Francis, and NATURE. Subjects with minimal rankings or IoT journal topics with the lowest percentages in each database were then reviewed based on predetermined filters. The blind search results revealed that IoT subjects with the lowest percentages were IoT Smart Farming at 0.87%, IoT Smart Bin at 1.54%, and IoT Smart Water at 2.73%. A review was subsequently conducted on journals covering IoT subjects to identify trends and challenges related to techniques, tools, and objects in the subjects with the lowest percentages.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung energi yang hilang akibat penanganan gangguan kWh meter prabayar pada tarif rumah tangga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kWh yang hilang akibat penanganan gangguan kWh meter prabayar secara sambung langsung selama 30 hari adalah sebesar 312.971,2 kWh. Total kerugian energi tersebut apabila dikonversi kedalam bentuk rupiah adalah sebesar Rp. 254.103.331,-. Susut akibat gangguan kWh meter prabayar menyumbang 0.18% dari 1.19% susut non teknis pada triwulan 1. Monitoring terhadap perputaran penggunaan material kwh meter prabayar cadangan di unit gangguan serta monitoring material yang tidak layak pakai merupakan salah satu cara untuk meminimalkan kerugian energi yang bersifat non teknis akibat gangguan pada meter prabayar tanpa sambung langsung.This study aims to calculate the energy lost due to the interference handling of kWh prepaid meters on household tariffs. The results showed that the kWh lost due to direct connection of kWh meter disturbances for 30 days was 312,971.2 kWh. The total energy loss when converted into rupiah is IDR 254,103,331. Losses due to disturbances in prepaid kWh meters accounted for 0.18% of the 1.19% non-technical losses in the 1st quarter. Monitoring the turnover of spare prepaid kWh meter materials in the disturbance unit, as well as monitoring ex-unloading materials, is one way to minimize non-technical energy losses due to disturbances on prepaid meters without a direct dial.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengoptimalkan   transformasi digital media pembelajaran   Teknik Elektro dan Komputer. Sehingga proses pembelajaran yang lebih fleksibel karena bisa offline dan juga online dan hibryd, serta membantu mahasiswa untuk tetap terus belajar secara mandiri dan termotivasi belajar terus. Selanjutnya pada Transformasi Digital perlu  dikembangkan lebih lanjut agar lebih interaktif. Teknologi transformasi digital merupakan pengembangan teknologi masa depan dengan adanya digitalisasi. Penerapan teknologi digital dapat memfasilitasi mahasiswa untuk tetap terus meningkatkan belajar secara mandiri. Metode yang digunakan adalah perancangan media pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, transformasi digital media pembelajaran Teknik Elektro dan Komputer   dapat lebih optimal sebab dengan adanya pemanfaatan transformasi digital  maka diharapkan terjadinya digitalisasi dalam proses pembelajaran pada Jurusan Teknik Elektro dan Komputer, sehingga di implementasi transformasi digital pada media pembelajaran Teknik Elektro dan Komputer dapat meningkatakan  motivasi dan kemandirian belajar. Pemanfaatan transformasi digital pada  mata kuliah Teknik Telekomunikasi Dasar dan Sistem Telekomunikasi lanjut.The aim of this research is to optimize the digital media transformation of Electrical and Computer Engineering learning. So the learning process is more flexible because it can be offline as well as online and hybrid, and helps students continue to learn independently and be motivated to continue learning. Furthermore, Digital Transformation needs to be developed further to make it more interactive. Digital transformation technology is the development of future technology with digitalization. The application of digital technology can facilitate students to continue to improve their learning independently. The method used is learning media design. The research results obtained show that digital media transformation for Electrical and Computer Engineering learning can be more optimal because with the use of digital transformation, it is hoped that digitalization will occur in the learning process in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, so that the implementation of digital transformation in Electrical and Computer Engineering learning media can increase motivation. and learning independence. Abstract

Kegiatan akademis yang dilakukan oleh lembaga pendidikan dapat memberikan dampak pada konsumsi energi listrik di kampus Universitas Negeri Gorontalo khususnya pada Fakultas Teknik. Kenyataannya banyak ruangan yang menyalakan lampu siang hari, penggunaan AC serta peralatan listrik lainnya tanpa adanya kegiatan dalam ruangan tersebut. Berdasarkan data dari bagian rumah tangga Universitas Negeri Gorontalo penggunaan energi listrik pada Fakultas Teknik rata-rata setiap bulan sebesar 655.140 VA dari daya terpasang sebesar 2.180.000 VA dan ini berdampak pada pembayaran rekening listrik rata-rata setiap bulannya sebesar Rp. 148.667.264,75. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsumsi energi listrik pada sistem pencahayaan, tata udara serta peralatan listrik lainnya yang digunakan pada bangunan gedung Fakultas Teknik. Metode yang digunakan adalah audit energi serta observasi lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Intensitas Konsumsi Energi (IKE) bangunan gedung Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Gorontalo untuk lantai menggunakan AC sebesar 14,33 kWh/m^2/bulan dikriteriakan cukup efisien dan untuk lantai tidak   menggunakan  AC sebesar 5,2 kWh/m²/bulan dikriteriakan efisien.Academic activities carried out by universities, especially the Faculty of Engineering, can have an impact on the use of electrical energy consumption on the Gorontalo State University campus. In fact, many rooms turn on daytime lights, use AC and other electrical equipment without any activity in the room. Based on data from the household section of Gorontalo State University, the average monthly use of electrical energy at the Faculty of Engineering is 655,140 VA from an installed power of 2,180,000 VA and this has an impact on the average monthly electricity bill payment of Rp. 148,667,264.75. This research aims to analyze electrical energy consumption in lighting systems, air conditioning and other electrical equipment used in the Faculty of Engineering buildings. The methods used are energy audits and field observations. The results of the research show that the Energy Consumption Intensity (IKE) of the building of the Faculty of Engineering, Gorontalo State University for floors using AC is 14.33 kWh/m^2/month which is classified as quite efficient and for floors not using AC it is rated as 5.2 kWh/m²/month. efficient.

Abstract

Pengembangan energi terbarukan sebagai energi alternatif atau dapat diperoleh dari tumbuhan yang salah satunya adalah tanaman lamtoro. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis sebaran lahan tanaman lamtoro dan analisis kesesuaian lahan untuk budidaya tanaman lamtoro di Kabupaten Bone Bolango sebagai basis data pengembangan hutan tanaman energi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam pemetaan sebaran lahan tanaman lamtoro adalah metode ground check (survey lapangan) dan metode dalam analisis kesesuaian lahan menggunakan metode overlay dan scoring setiap parameter yang digunakan dan diolah menggunakan software arcGIS. Hasil pemetaan sebaran lahan tanaman lamtoro pada tiga Kecamatan yang berada di Kabupaten Bone Bolango sebesar 1,604 ha pada Kecamatan Kabila dapat menghasilkan energi listrik sebesar 5.071 kWh/ha/tahun, 3,118 ha pada Kecamatan Tilongkabila dapat menghasilkan energi listrik sebesar 9.857 kWh/ha/tahun dan 22,070 ha pada Kecamatan Kabila Bone dapat menghasilkan energi listrik sebesar 69.767 kWh/ha/tahun. Menurut hasil analisis kesesuaian lahan tanaman lamtoro di Kabupaten Bone Bolango, mendapatkan empat kelas kesesuaian lahan yaitu S1 (sangat sesuai) dengan besar lahan seluas 6245 ha dapat menghasilkan energi listrik sebesar 19.741.622 kWh/ha/tahun, kelas kesesuaian lahan S2 (Cukup Sesuai) dengan besar lahan seluas 56617 ha dapat menghasilkan energi listrik sebesar 178.977.009 kWh/ha/tahun, kelas kesesuaian lahan S3 (sesuai marginal) dengan besar lahan seluas 13442 ha dapat menghasilkan energi listrik sebesar 42.492.696 kWh/ha/tahun dan kelas kesesuaian lahan N (tidak sesuai) dengan luas 111440 ha.The development of renewable energy as alternative energy can be obtained from plants, one of which is the lamtoro (leucaena leucocephala) plants. The research aimed to analyze the distribution of land for lamtoro plants and analysis of land suitability for cultivation of lamtoro plants in Bone Bolango Regency as a database for the development of energy plantation forest. The research method used in mapping the distribution of land for lamtoro plants was the ground check (field survey) method, whereas the method in land suitability analysis applied overlay and scoring methods in each parameter used and processed using ArcGIS software. The results of mapping distribution of land for lamtoro plants in three sub-districts in Bone Bolango Regency were that 1,604 ha in Kabila Subdistrict could produce electrical energy of 5.701 kWh/ha/year, 3,118 ha in Tilongkabila Subdistrict could produce electrical energy of 9.857 kWh/ha/year and 22,070 ha in Kabila Bone Subdistrict could produce electrical energy of69.767 kWh/ha/year. In accordance with the results of land suitability classes, including class S1 (very suitable) with an area of 6245 ha which could produce electrical energy of 19.741.622 kWh/ha/year, class S2 (fairy suitable) with an area of 56617 ha which could produce electrical energy of 178.977.009 kWh/ha/year, class S3 (marginally suitable) with an area of 13442 ha which could produce electrical energy of 42.492.696 kWh/ha/year and class N (not suitable) with an area of 111440 ha.

Abstract

Banggai Regency is one of the areas in Central Sulawesi experiencing rapid economic growth. This condition has led to an increased demand for electricity in the region. Therefore, accurate predictions of electricity demand are needed for proper planning in providing electricity in the future. This research aims to predict the electricity demand in Banggai Regency for the next three years (2024-2026). The research employs the Simple Linear Regression method using historical data on electricity consumption in Banggai Regency. The prediction results indicate that the electricity demand in Banggai Regency will continue to increase. The increase in customers is noted with a percentage increase in social (13,956%), households (12,222%), businesses (8,289%), industries (40,752%), and government (8,014%). The increase in connected power is recorded with a percentage increase in social (30,502%), households (18,315%), businesses (16,037%), industries (40,373%), and government (6,704%). This information is crucial for stakeholders to plan adequate and sustainable electricity infrastructure and policies in Banggai Regency in the future.Kabupaten Banggai merupakan salah satu daerah di Sulawesi Tengah yang mengalami pertumbuhan ekonomi yang cukup pesat. Hal ini menyebabkan peningkatan kebutuhan energi listrik di daerah tersebut. Untuk itu, diperlukan prediksi kebutuhan energi listrik yang akurat agar dapat dilakukan perencanaan yang tepat dalam penyediaan energi listrik di masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi kebutuhan energi listrik di Kabupaten Banggai dalam kurun waktu tiga tahun ke depan (2024-2026). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode regresi linier sederhana dengan menggunakan data historis konsumsi energi listrik di Kabupaten Banggai. Hasil prediksi menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan energi listrik di Kabupaten Banggai akan terus meningkat di masa depan Kenaikan pelanggan didapatkan kenaikan dengan persentase sebesar: sosial (13,956%); rumah tangga (12,222%); bisnis (8,289%); industri (40,752%); dan pemerintah (8,014%). Peningkatan daya tersambung tercatat dengan peningkatan persentase sebesar: sosial (30,502%); rumah tangga (18,315%); bisnis (16,037%); industri (40,373%); dan pemerintah (6,704%). Informasi ini penting bagi pemangku kepentingan terkait untuk merencanakan infrastruktur dan kebijakan kelistrikan yang memadai dan berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Banggai di masa depan.

Abstract

Lung diseases rank as the third most prevalent cause of mortality globally. Accurate identification of lung disease is essential to provide appropriate medical intervention for patients. This research devised a categorization system for lung diseases using chest X-Rays (CXR). The system can identify bacterial pneumonia, viral pneumonia, COVID-19, tuberculosis, and normal CXR. The approach for detecting lung diseases utilize a combination of hybrid transfer learning and bidirectional long short-term memory. The research included convolutional neural network (CNN) models including Resnet50-BiLSTM, VGG19-BiLSTM, InceptionV3-BiLSTM, Resnet50, VGG19, and InceptionV3. The Resnet50-BiLSTM model outperforms other models in terms of accuracy and overall performance. The Resnet50-BiLSTM model achieved an accuracy of 99.87%. The models that achieve the second greatest accuracy are Resnet50, VGG19-BiLSTM, VGG19, InceptionV3-BiLSTM, and InceptionV3. The research utilizes precision, recall, and F1-Measure to demonstrate that Resnet50-BiLSTM outperforms other methods by achieving the greatest value. This research improves the performance outcomes when compared to earlier studies.

Abstract

Checkers is a board game that is played by two people which has a purpose to defeat the opponent by eating all the opponent's pieces or making the opponent unable to make a move. The sophistication of technology at this modern time makes the checkers game can be used on a computer even with a smartphone. The application of artificial intelligence in checkers games makes the game playable anywhere and anytime. Alpha Beta Pruning is an optimization technique from the Minimax Algorithm that can reduce the number of branch/node extensions to get better and faster step search results. In this study, a checkers game based on artificial intelligence will be developed using the alpha-beta pruning method. This research is expected to explain in detail how artificial intelligence works in a game. Alpha-beta pruning was chosen because it can search for the best steps quickly and precisely. This study tested 10 respondents to play this game. The results show that the player's win rate was 60% at the easy level, 40% at the medium level, and 20% at the hard level. Besides that, the level of interest in this game was 80% being entertained and 20% feeling ordinary.
