Abstract

Purpose: This paper tried to examine the mediation effect of psychological empowerment between empowering leadership and employee creativity Design/Methodology: This study referred to quantitative research design and used a paper-based online questionnaire to collect data from a sample of 65 employees drawn from an Information Technology company in Surabaya, Indonesia. This study used the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) Partial Least Square analysis with saturated samples. Findings: The results indicate that empowering leadership and psychological empowerment positively and significantly affect employee creativity. The results further reveal that psychological empowerment significantly mediating the relationship between empowering leadership and employee creativity. Practical Implications: The findings of this study provide benefits for company leaders to identify learning solutions to practical solutions, motivate employees to come up with creative ideas, and empower employees. Mostly during challenging times such as during the COVID 19 pandemic, work must be done from home. The results of this study provide opportunities for leaders to produce techniques, policies, and strategies to increase employee creativity through motivation, direction, and empowerment Originality/Value: This study makes a new attempt to demonstrate the mediating effect of empowering leadership and employee creativity in Information Technology companies at Vascomm Surabaya Indonesia. In addition, the research underlines the importance of motivating and always giving employees freedom for creative behavior which is important knowledge in difficult times like today caused by the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Kinerja merupakan faktor penentu kesuksesan di organisasi yang signifikan. Mengingat hal ini, penting untuk mengidentifikasi faktor pendorong kinerja karyawan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh dari servant leadership dan kepribadian proaktif terhadap kinerja karyawan, serta melihat peran kepribadian proaktif sebagai pemediasi dalam hubungan servant leadership dan kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 65 karyawan yang bekerja di Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai (BBWS) Brantas, Surabaya, Jawa Timur, yang dipilih dengan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa servant leadership berpengaruh positif terhadap kepribadian proaktif dan kinerja karyawan. Selain itu, kepribadian proaktif yang dimiliki karyawan juga dapat meningkatkan kinerja mereka. Terakhir, penelitian ini mengonfirmasi jika kepribadian proaktif bisa mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan melalui peran mediasi dari kepribadian proaktif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi reformasi birokrasi dalam pengembangan talenta sumber daya manusia untuk meningkatkan kinerja pegawai, dengan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif engan metode studi kasus berdasarkan rumusan dari Robert K. Yin. Menurut Yin (2014, p. 18). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BKD Provinsi Jawa Timur menerapkan kriteria ketat untuk seleksi pegawai yang memenuhi syarat, Kualifikasi pendidikan juga diperhatikan secara ketat, memastikan bahwa setiap pegawai sesuai dengan jabatan yang mereka lamar. Assessment dilakukan secara sistematis dan rutin untuk memetakan pegawai dalam box manajemen talenta, memastikan bahwa setiap penempatan jabatan didasarkan pada data yang objektif

Abstract

The impact of large-scale national restrictions of Covid-19 pandemic to other sectorss in the world is especially in the economic sector. Indonesia dominated by MSMEs which is it be a backbone of national’s economy in Indonesia. That’s way, MSMEs business person required to be able to adapt on pandemic’s situationin order to maintain and increase corporation to continuity of business sustainability. In other impact of the pandemic happrned is the increasing of product imported, online shipping and the products produces are less fashionable. This research purpose to analyze the influence of self efficacy on tke IKM leather’s performance in Magetan which mediated by resilience. This research is quantitative, with respondents of IKM’s leather in Magetan who still surviving after Covid-19 pandemic. Data obtained from 138 respondents and it was processed using SEM regression analysis with SEM PLS analysis tools. The results of this research showed that the Self Efficacy’s variable has a significant effect on the IKM leather’s performance in Magetan which mediated by resilience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi dan budaya kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui motivasi kerja sebagai variabel mediasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai non-ASN Dinas Kebudayaan, Kepemudaan dan Olahraga Serta Pariwisata Kota Surabaya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan menggunakan software SmartPLS versi 3.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel eksogen yaitu kompetensi, budaya kerja, dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai secara langsung. Selain itu, secara tidak langsung kompetensi dan budaya kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja melalui motivasi kerja pada pegawai non-ASN Dinas Kebudayaan, Kepemudaan dan Olahraga Serta Pariwisata Kota Surabaya.

Abstract

Phenomenon/Issue: Local government and village head leadership play an important role in increasing public awareness of paying taxes, but work effectiveness as a mediating variable has not been widely explored. Purpose: This research aims to analyze the influence of government policy and village head leadership on public awareness of paying taxes, with work effectiveness as a mediating variable. Novelty: This research adds work effectiveness variables as mediators to deepen understanding of how government policy and village head leadership can influence people's awareness of paying taxes. Research Methods: Quantitative research using a survey approach was carried out in Karangrejo Village, Karangrejo District, Magetan Regency. Data was collected through questionnaires filled out by respondents who were residents of Karangrejo Village. Results: The results of the study show that government policy and village head leadership have a significant effect on people's awareness of paying taxes. Work effectiveness was found as a mediating variable that strengthens this influence. Research Contributions: This research provides insight into the importance of transparent government policies and responsive village head leadership to increase work effectiveness and public awareness in paying taxes, which will ultimately have a positive impact on increasing local tax revenues

Abstract

The results of the situation analysis show that the problems faced by partners are: First, the branding process for superior products such as product packaging, brands and designs that are less attractive. Some farmers have actually tried to package with good quality plastic. However, it is still lacking to make the product specific and have a positioning in the minds of consumers. Therefore, it is very important to make improvements in the product branding process so as to achieve competitive advantage. Second, the lack of knowledge and ability of business actors in online marketing to increase product sales. Third, as a relatively new business, oyster mushroom entrepreneurs have not yet done financial bookkeeping.Good business management must be supported by financial bookkeeping in an orderly and administrative manner. The solution to this problem is: First, efforts are needed to help oyster mushroom entrepreneurs in the form of training on packaging. Second, to further increase effectiveness and efficiency in product marketing in the current digital era, assistance needs to be provided in the form of training on online marketing. Third, training is needed on financial bookkeeping. It is hoped that assistance in the form of financial bookkeeping training, online marketing training and packaging improvements will be able to have a positive impact on improving and developing businesses for oyster mushroom business actors.

Abstract

Revolusi Industri 4.0 menuntut pelaku usaha untuk mengikuti perkembangan teknologi guna tetap kompetitif, termasuk dalam hal perencanaan, pengelolaan, pemasaran, dan pelaporan. Tuntutan ini juga dirasakan oleh pedagang di Pasar Tradisional Nilowati, Kelurahan Kraton, Kecamatan Maospati, Kabupaten Magetan, yang memiliki keunikan penggunaan koin tempurung kelapa sebagai alat transaksi dan pakaian tradisional Jawa berupa kain lurik. Meskipun pasar ini dikenal luas berkat kegiatan branding yang telah dilakukan, pengelolaan branding sebagai sarana promosi produk unggulan dan pembangunan citra merek yang berkelanjutan masih terkendala oleh keterbatasan literasi teknologi, khususnya dalam digital branding dan desain kemasan. Program PKM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi melalui pelatihan digital branding dan desain kemasan yang lebih aman dan menarik bagi para pedagang di pasar tersebut. Pelatihan digital branding difokuskan untuk meningkatkan minat masyarakat terhadap produk unggulan dengan memperkenalkan media sosial sebagai platform pemasaran, sementara pelatihan desain kemasan menekankan pada aspek kebersihan dan keamanan, sambil mempertahankan nilai tradisional kemasan. Kegiatan ini telah diikuti oleh 13 para pedagang makanan dan minuman yang berjualan di Pasar Nilowati. Kesemua peserta telah mendapatkan pelatihan mengenai digital branding dan desain kemasan. Dikarenakan bahwa pasar tradisional ini tetap mempertahakan keunikan kemasan tradisional sebagai nilai jual, maka pelatihan tentang kemasan lebih ditujukan agar kemasan tersebut lebih higienis. Sedangkan pelatihan tentang digital branding telah diberikan dengan memperkenalkan beberapa media sosial yang bisa dicoba oleh para pedagang dan melatih tahap demi tahap untuk bisa menginformasikan dan memasarkan produk-produk makanan dan minuman melalui media sosial tersebut. Target luaran program PKM ini adalah meningkatnya kemampuan mitra dalam memasarkan produknya secara online melalui media sosial sehingga bisa meningkatkan penjualan setiap harinya selain penjualan di hari minggu. Tujuan dan target luaran ini telah tercapai melalui pelatihan digital branding dan desain kemasasan visual yang menghasilkan produk-produk seperti desain logo usaha, pembuatan website bisnis, content marketing dan lain-lain.

Abstract

In today's digital era, cyberloafing which refers to surfing the web for personal reasons during work hours is a major workplace issue. A policy was put in place at XYZ Agency in July 2024 to control internet usage and curb cyberloafing. The policy is meant to boost productivity, but its impact is still uncertain. Even with the policy, some employees continue cyberloafing on personal internet connections, leading to concerns about its effect on their work performance and how self-control and work procedures play a role in this behavior. This study seeks to investigate the impact of cyberloafing on productivity, influenced by levels of self-discipline and workplace protocols. Employing a quantitative method, the research involved 100 participants from the XYZ Agency. Utilizing Smart PLS 3.0 software, the data was examined to ascertain connections between different factors. The results indicated that cyberloafing had a notable, albeit modest, positive effect on performance measures within this study, with a coefficient of 0.161. Workplace procedures, acting as a moderating element, were found to have a detrimental impact on the correlation between cyberloafing and employee productivity. However, self-control was not found to significantly alter or moderate the link between cyberloafing and job performance.

Abstract

This study, titled "The Influence of Motivation on Employee Performance Through Employee Competence at Puskesmas in Surabaya," aims to analyze the effect of work motivation on employee performance while considering the role of employee competence as a mediating variable. The research employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to examine the causal relationships between motivation, competence, and employee performance across five Puskesmas in Surabaya. Data were collected through a survey involving 163 employees, utilizing a questionnaire consisting of 54 questions related to motivation, competence, and performance. The analysis results indicate that work motivation has a positive but statistically insignificant direct effect on employee performance, with a path coefficient of 0.162 (p < 0.05). This suggests that while work motivation may have a beneficial impact, other factors might also play a significant role in determining employee performance. Furthermore, work motivation was found to have a significant positive influence on employee competence, with a path coefficient of 0.571 (p < 0.05). In turn, employee competence significantly positively affects employee performance, with a path coefficient of 0.560 (p < 0.05). Additionally, work motivation indirectly influences employee performance through competence, with a path coefficient of 0.320 (p < 0.05). This study concludes that enhancing employee motivation and competence will positively impact employee performance at Puskesmas. The implications of these findings are expected to provide recommendations for Puskesmas management in designing effective employee development strategies and contribute to the literature on human resource management in the healthcare sector.
