Abstract

This study examines the impact of tax information technology services and tax sanctions on property taxpayers' (UN) compliance in Surabaya. Using multiple linear regression, the research finds that tax information technology, service quality, and sanctions all significantly and positively influence tax compliance. Efficient e-filing and e-payment systems enhance reporting accuracy, making compliance more transparent. High-quality services from tax authorities, marked by responsiveness and reliability, increase taxpayer trust, leading to better compliance. Fair and transparent sanctions act as a deterrent, promoting adherence to tax regulations. The study concludes that Surabaya's tax authorities should focus on advancing technology, enhancing service quality, and enforcing consistent sanctions to improve compliance. Recommendations include investing in technology, training tax officers, and strengthening law enforcement. This research offers insights into tax policy in Surabaya and other areas, highlighting the factors that drive local tax compliance and setting the stage for future studies on the relationship between technology, services, and sanctions in enhancing tax compliance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of organizational trust and job satisfaction on job performance through employee engagement at PT. Adikara Jaya Sentosa. This research is a causality study with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique uses a saturated sample with a total of 75 respondents. The statistical analysis used in this study is the partial least squares (PLS) with the help of smartPLS 3.0 software. The results of this study prove that organizational trust has a positive and significant effect on job performance. Organizational trust has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on job performance. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. In the indirect effect analysis, employee engagement is able to mediate the influence between organizational trust and job satisfaction on job performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of digital transformation and workplace effectiveness on organizational citizenship behavior. This study used cross-sectional survey research design with quantitative research approach to address the objectives. There were sixty-two employees of Surabaya personnel and human development agency (BKPSDM Surabaya) involved as the respondents. They were chosen using voluntary sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire with six-point Likert’s scaling method comprising of measuring the three variables. Data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression to portray the depiction of employees perceived digital transformation, workplace effectiveness, and organizational citizenship behavior and to reveal the correlational nexus between variables. Results showed that employees perceived digital transformation, workplace effectiveness, and organizational citizenship behavior were in a very high category (Swanson’s Q = Q4). Another finding showed that digital transformation and workplace effectiveness affected the formation of organizational citizenship behavior.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh literasi keuangan terhadap kinerja usaha UMKM fashion di Surabaya, serta menguji peran mediasi praktik manajemen keuangan dalam hubungan tersebut. Survei dilakukan terhadap 158 pelaku UMKM dengan menggunakan kuesioner skala Likert, dan data dianalisis menggunakan metode Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa literasi keuangan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja usaha, serta terhadap praktik manajemen keuangan. Praktik manajemen keuangan juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja usaha, dan secara signifikan memediasi hubungan antara literasi keuangan dan kinerja usaha. Didapatkan hasil bahwa pemahaman keuangan yang diterapkan secara konsisten melalui praktik manajerial dapat meningkatkan performa bisnis secara nyata. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan literasi keuangan yang diiringi praktik manajemen keuangan yang baik menjadi kunci penting dalam mendorong keberhasilan UMKM fashion di Surabaya.

Abstract

Resistance to change is one of the main challenges in the implementation of new management policies in organizations. This literature study aims to explore the application of Human Relations Theory as an approach to overcome resistance to a policy. By analyzing the principles of Human Relations Theory and integrating them with change management models, this study provides insights into how building a positive relationship between management and employees, involving employees in the change process, and meeting employees' social and psychological needs can help reduce resistance and increase acceptance of new policies. The research method used is a systematic literature study by collecting and analyzing relevant literature sources. The results of the study show that the application of Human Relations Theory can be an effective strategy in managing resistance to change, especially in the context of the implementation of new management policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of career development, work environment, and competence on employee performance at Bank BTN Denpasar Branch Office. The phenomenon of lower performance and the increasing demand for competencies in the banking sector underscore the importance of this research, particularly in the context of regional banking. A quantitative method with a survey approach was employed. The respondents consisted of 115 permanent employees of Bank BTN Denpasar Branch, selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale. The data were then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine both the simultaneous and partial effects of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results indicate that career development has a strong and significant direct influence on employee performance. In contrast, the direct effects of work environment and competence on performance were not statistically significant; however, both variables contribute indirectly through their positive influence on career development. These findings suggest that to foster optimal employee performance, organizations need to focus not only on improving the work environment and building employee competencies but also on ensuring clear and structured career development pathways.

Abstract

Komitmen organisasional yang dimiliki karyawan dapat menentukan keberhasilan suatu organisasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan menguji pengaruh dari dukungan organisasional persepsian dan pengembangan karir terhadap komitmen organisasional di perguruan tinggi baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui keterikatan kerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tenaga kependidikan Universitas Negeri Surabaya, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 150 responden yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner pada responden secara online, dan data yang didapatkan dianalisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling dengan Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan jika komitmen organisasional yang dimiliki oleh tenaga kependidikan dapat dipengaruhi oleh dukungan organisasional persepsian dan pengembangan karir secara langsung. Pengaruhnya juga dapat terjadi secara tidak langsung melalui peran mediasi dari keterikatan kerja karyawan.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the influence of the health information system (SIK) and work motivation on employee satisfaction and performance at the Surabaya City Health Service Community Health Center, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 317 respondents selected using cluster techniques random sampling. Data analysis was carried out using a Structural Equation Model (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) to test the research hypothesis. The research results show that GIC has no effect on satisfaction. Work motivation was found to have a significant influence on job satisfaction. Motivated employees tend to have higher job satisfaction, driven by factors such as recognition, responsibility, and advancement opportunities. Apart from that, this research found that SIK did not have a significant effect on employee performance but work motivation had a positive effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction was also found to have a significant effect on employee performance, indicating that satisfied employees tend to have better performance. Job satisfaction is not proven to mediate the influence of SIK on employee performance, but it does mediate the influence of work motivation on employee performance. This research provides practical implications for Puskesmas management and policy makers in the health sector to focus on developing effective SIK and programs to increase work motivation to increase employee satisfaction and performance. The results of this research also provide theoretical contributions by enriching the literature on the influence of SIK and work motivation on individual performance in the context of health service organizations.

Abstract

Persaingan antar rumah sakit dalam meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan menuntut strategi yang efektif, salah satunya melalui upaya mempertahankan karyawan. Di tengah meningkatnya jumlah rumah sakit, ketidakseimbangan antara pertumbuhan institusi dan kepuasan pelanggan menjadi tantangan signifikan. Sebanyak 77% tenaga kerja di Indonesia mempertimbangkan untuk mengundurkan diri, dengan alasan utama ketidaksesuaian gaji. Oleh karena itu, perencanaan sumber daya manusia yang strategis menjadi krusial. Employee Engagement (EE) dipandang sebagai faktor penting dalam mendorong kinerja dan keberlangsungan organisasi, mengingat sebagian besar waktu karyawan dihabiskan untuk bekerja. RSU X Sidoarjo mengalami peningkatan jumlah pengunduran diri karyawan selama tiga tahun terakhir yaitu 2% (2022), 3% (2023), dan 4% (2024). Fenomena ini menuntut evaluasi menyeluruh terhadap hubungan organisasi dan karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Emotional Intelligence (EI) dan motivasi terhadap Employee Engagement (EE) dengan Kepuasan Kerja (KK) sebagai variabel mediasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan sampling sebanyak 174 karyawan, menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan melalui Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistics 25 dan SmartPLS 4. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa EI tidak berpengaruh terhadap KK, tetapi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap EE. Motivasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap KK, namun tidak terhadap EE. KK terbukti berpengaruh terhadap EE, serta memediasi pengaruh motivasi terhadap EE, namun kepuaasan kerja tidak memediasi pada pengaruh EI terhadap EE. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya manajemen sumber daya manusia yang terstruktur, termasuk sistem penghargaan dan punishment, promosi, penilaian kinerja, pelatihan, serta survei KK.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of ethical leadership style and organizational culture on employees’ innovative work behavior, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. The research is grounded in the growing need for moral leadership and a supportive work culture to enhance organizational competitiveness amid rapid environmental changes. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed, involving 76 employees of the UPTD Jagir Community Health Center in Surabaya City. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that both ethical leadership style and organizational culture have a significant positive effect on employees’ innovative work behavior. Furthermore, job satisfaction plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between ethical leadership style, organizational culture, and innovative work behavior. These results indicate that employees’ innovative behavior is not only shaped by ethical leadership and organizational culture but is also strongly influenced by their level of job satisfaction. The study provides practical implications for organizational management, emphasizing the importance of strengthening ethical values in leadership and cultivating a work culture that fosters creativity and job satisfaction.
