Abstract

A problem found in transportation is road narrowing. Road narrowing refers to a condition in which its downstream is smaller than the upstream. This research took place on Ahmad Yani Street at the front of Royal Plaza, Surabaya. The location of this research had a sufficiently high traffic flow. Thus, the road should be able to operate optimally. In fact, there is still a density caused by road narrowing. This research was intended to determine how much the maximum flow, maximum density and free speed on the road before, during and after the narrowing. Besides, this research was carried out to find out the relation of the flow, the traffic density and speed, determine the value of the shock waves during the road narrowing. This research was done on Wednesday and Saturday morning, at 06:00-08:00 and in the afternoon at 16:00-18:00. The calculation performed was based on Greenshield method. The analysis revealed that the largest maximum flow was on the fragment of road before narrowing, which was 2376.30 pcu/hour. The maximum density found on the fragment of road during narrowing was 322.33 pcu/hour, and the highest free speed regarding to the road condition before the narrowing was 57.21 km/hour. The relation between flow, speed and density showed a significant result (R2 0.5). Shock waves obtained were in the mornings and afternoons on Wednesday and Saturday,

Abstract

Sawaibu Bay Bridge is located in Manokwari Regency and is 300 meters long. The west side is on the Jalan Pahlawan canal, and the east is towards Jalan Siliwangi. This study assesses whether the bridge construction project is feasible and finds alternatives or solutions. The analytical methods used are NPV, BCR, and IRR, which refer to the value of inflation by considering the tourist retribution and travel time analysis. The results will be used to conclude whether the first alternative to the project meets the financial feasibility requirements based on inflation. It shows NPV of 67,061,982,402, BCR 1,096, and IRR 30% ? MARR of 10%, which means that the first alternative is feasible to build.

Abstract

This study explores the potential of solar energy as a sustainable alternative to coal-based electricity generation in Indonesia, aiming to address environmental concerns. It assesses the feasibility of household-level solar panel adoption for reducing electricity costs and enhancing energy self-sufficiency. Using photovoltaic technology, the research examines solar energy conversion and battery storage, focusing on optimal daylight utilization. Findings reveal substantial cost-saving prospects for households and stress the environmental benefits of decreasing reliance on conventional electricity sources. The study highlights the significance of public awareness and government support for solar panel adoption, emphasizing its role in economic stability and resource allocation to productive sectors. It advocates for empowering and educating the public about solar panel usage, which not only lowers electricity expenses but also promotes economic stability by reallocating funds to other industries, thus contributing to Indonesia's economic well-being and sustainable energy future. Abstract

This scientific article addresses the pressing issue of environmental pollution arising from construction waste, particularly its adverse effects on water quality due to rapid urban development with insufficient environmental considerations. Employing a multidisciplinary approach encompassing literature review and legal analysis, this study investigates the detrimental impacts of construction waste pollution on human health, economic losses, and disruptions to natural ecosystems. The research underscores the critical need for enhanced awareness and action among government entities, contractors, and the public to safeguard the environment from the deleterious effects of construction waste pollution, thereby preserving natural ecosystems and upholding environmental standards. The study's findings emphasize the imperative role of governments in promoting environmental management and regulation, emphasizing the urgency of concerted efforts to address this global environmental challenge. Highlights: Construction waste pollution poses a significant threat to water quality and the environment, especially in rapidly urbanizing areas with inadequate environmental planning. Abstract

Leadership and management are pivotal in enhancing service quality within faith-based educational institutions. This study examines how leadership and management synergy improves school services in a faith-based educational institution in Madiun, East Java. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that effective leadership fosters collaboration among stakeholders, optimizes resource allocation, and implements innovative educational strategies that enhance interdisciplinary learning and student engagement. The school also emphasizes character education to support holistic student development, integrates digital tools to modernize teaching practices, and adopts adaptive assessment strategies to ensure comprehensive evaluation of student competencies. Furthermore, the dual governance system, blending religious identity with national educational standards, highlights the importance of adaptive leadership in maintaining institutional balance. Challenges identified include disparities in resource allocation, scalability of character development programs, and uneven implementation of technology integration. These findings offer a framework for other faith-based institutions to enhance service quality by prioritizing collaborative leadership, professional development, and sustainable management practices. This research contributes valuable insights into effective leadership models in the context of faith-based education and provides actionable recommendations for achieving long-term excellence in service delivery.

Abstract

Artikel ini dilatar belakangi oleh proses pembelajaran yang masih berpacu pada buku ajar dan papan tulis, sehingga  hal tersebut menyebabkan pola pikir peserta didik kurang kreatif dan kurangnya kemampuan dalam memecahkan suatu permasalahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pendidikan agama dan budi pekerti kelas 5 SDN Banjarsari, Kecamatan Pandaan, Kabupaten Pasuruan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang menerapkan dua metode pembelajaran yaitu metode konvensional dan metode Problem Based Learning. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini  adalah tes evaluasi dan observasi, instrument yang dipakai adalah soal tes dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Data yang diperoleh berupa kemampuan pemecahan masalah mengimani hari akhir, data hasil dan observasi pada saat proses pembelajaran dari aktivitas peserta didik. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif komparatif yaitu dengan membandingkan hasil tes metode konvensional dengan metode Problem Based Learning (PBL). Indikator keberhasilan penelitian ini adalah 80 persen peserta didik tuntas dari KKM ≥78. Hasil menunjukkan jika penerapan metode Problem Based Learning mampu meningkatkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah mengimani hari akhir. Nilai rata-rata kelas naik, dari 75,78 saat menggunakan metode konvensional menjadi 84,21 setelah menerapkan metode Problem Based Learning. Jumlah peserta didik yang mencapai nilai di atas KKM meningkat dari 8 peserta didik (42%) pada metode konvensional menjadi 17 peserta didik (89%). Penelitian ini dapat dikatakan berhasil karena telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan yaitu 80 persen peserta didik tuntas belajar dengan KKM  ≥ 78

Abstract

Penerapan GMP ini seringkali diabaikan penerapannya oleh industri, oleh sebab itu pemerintah membuat peraturan dalam surat kementrian kesehatan RI No.23/MEN.KES/SKJ/1978, dimana dalam peraturan tersebut dijelaskan tentang pedoman ataupun cara memproduksi makanan dan minuman yang baik dan benar. Somwang et al. (2013), menyatakan aspek GMP dalam penanganan makanan terdiri dari pekerja, produksi makanan, pemeliharaan, bangunan dan fasilitas, peralatan, dan sanitasi. Fasilitas pembersihan lingkungan, bangunan dan pencucian peralatan pada pembuatan bakery and cookies ini minimal harus tersedia alat seperti sapu, sikat, pel dan kain lap, dilengkapi tempat sampah yang tertutup serta tempat pencucian standar industri makanan. Permasalahan mitra UMKM bakery and cookies di desa Sumorame kabupaten Sidoarjo ini adalah belum adanya peralatan pembersihan yang memadai baik itu untuk pembersihan peralatan memasak dan juga peralatan pembersihan lokasi sekitar produksi dan Tempat pembersihan belum memenuhi Good Manufacturing Practice, hal ini dapat dilihat dari area kitchen sink yang masih menggunakan bak plastik (ember) yang di tambahkan kran dan tidak ada pipa saluran pembuangan. Adapun hasil dari dilakukannya pengabdian ini adalah berupa penyediaan alat kitchen sink untuk pembersihan peralatan serta tersedianya standar operasional prosedur untuk pembersihan peralatan.

Abstract

Bendungan Bagong dirancang untuk mereduksi banjir dari sungai bagong di kota trenggalek. Pekerjaan utama yang terealisasi di lapangan sampai dengan saat ini adalah kegiatan pekerjaan penggalian terowongan inlet bendungan dengan metode blasting. Potensi bahaya banyak sekali ditemukan di lingkungan penggalian terowongan inlet bendungan tersebut, sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi Bahaya, Penilaian dan Pengendalian Resiko pada pekerjaan pembangunan terowongan inlet bendungan bagong, mengetahui potensi risiko tersebut yaitu dengan menerapkan manajemen risiko. Metode penelitian ini deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam. Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan uji kredibilitas, uji dependabilitas dan uji konfirmabilitas. Analisis data menggunakan metode Hazard Identification Risk Assesment and Determining Control. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 33 kasus bahaya, penilaian risiko bahaya dengan nilai risiko sedang sejumlah 2 kasus bahaya dan penilaian risiko bahaya dengan nilai risiko rendah sejumlah 31 bahaya. Pengendalian risiko yang sudah direncanakan dan dilaksanakan sejumlah 31 tindakan dan 2 tindakan masih belum dilaksanakan atau dalam proses.

Abstract

Semakin jauh rute pelayanan dan semakin banyak jumlah ritasi truk maka  semakin besar pula biaya operasional yang harus dikeluarkan. Lokasi penelitian ini di TPA Kecamatan Benowo dengan tujuan mengetahui sistem atau pola pengangkutan sampah serta biaya operasional kendaraan truk pengangkut sampah. Sistem pengangkutan sampah di Kecamatan Benowo menggunakan Hauled Container System (HCS) dan Stationary Container System (SCS).Dengan rata-rata jarak yang di tempuh per hari jenis kendaraan arm roll adalah 52 km/hari sedangkan jenis compactor 56 km/hari dan rata-rata kecepatan yang di tempuh per hari jenis kendaraan yang di tempuh perhari jenis kendaraan arm roll adalah 23 (km/jam)/hari sedangkan jenis compactor 20.5 (km/jam)/hari. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan biaya  Life Cycle Cost pengangkutan sampah /m3 menggunakan Arm roll lebih murah dengan biaya Rp. 18.394,5259/m3 sedangkan menggunakan comfactor Rp. 32.872,497737.281,8. Dari hasil analisis dapat dilihat bahwa nilai efektifitas yang lebih besar adalah sistem HCS dan biaya angkut sampah menggunakan armroll lebih murah dibandingkan dengan comfactor..

Abstract

Gubeng Station is the most populous station of 52 stations that enter the work area of PT KAI Daop 8 Surabaya, with 978,346 train passengers in January 2019, where this number is the highest number of train passengers for 3 years recorded at Gubeng station. Gubeng Station is also very unique, because it is located at a height of 5 meters and has two functionally different sides. The west side building is used for the departure and arrival of economy and express trains, while the east side building is for the departure and arrival of business and executive trains. This functional difference needs to be a study of the provision of infrastructure/facilities available at the Gubeng station whether it meets the minimum train service standards and has provided services/satisfaction and the importance of the existing facilities at the Gubeng station according to the train user perception. The method used is importance performance analysis (IPA) and the conclusion is that satisfaction and importance of the existing facilities at Gubeng station according to the train user perception obtained a satisfaction value of 2.48 which means that they still do not get maximum service and the average value of interest is 4.57 which means that the existing facilities at Gubeng station are needed by train passengers.
