Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the supervision of road construction in Air Putih Ilir Village, Plakat Tinggi District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. This research is qualitative in nature, with qualitative data obtained through interviews with informants and analysis of relevant documents. The research results show that although supervision of road construction in Air Putih Ilir Village, Plakat Tinggi District, Musi Banyuasin Regency has been carried out, it has still not reached the optimal level. This is caused by several factors, including a lack of knowledge and skills of supervisory officers, as well as limited funds available. This lack of funding also results in a lack of equipment and facilities that support the work of monitoring officers, such as vehicles that are often damaged. On the planning side, the lack of knowledge and ability of officers as supervisors is one of the obstacles. In implementation, the lack of information from field implementers is also a problem, because they feel that there are people who are more competent in answering questions. In addition, the low quality of construction materials results in rapid road damage, and there is also road construction that is not in accordance with the wishes of the community. Regarding reporting, the Audit Results Report has been prepared, but is often delivered late due to delays in submitting the report from the implementing party. This is because there are still deficiencies in collecting the required data and documents, so it requires additional time to complete them.

Abstract

Utilizing Job Analysis for Prabumulih City Manpower Service" aims to assess positions within the Prabumulih City Manpower Office. The main issue identified is the presence of unmet qualifications in employee placements and the subpar productivity of civil servants. Qualitative data analysis techniques were employed for data analysis, while observation, interviews, and documentation were utilized for data collection. The study's findings indicate several key points: Firstly, the suboptimal execution of job analysis has led to low civil servant productivity, subsequently resulting in diminished organizational/ SKPD performance. This is compounded by the uniformity of Anjab results and the added challenge of inputting them through the e-formation system. Thirdly, the ultimate goal of Anjab is to align employees' primary job functions with their respective roles and responsibilities. This fundamental organizational process, job analysis, is critical for obtaining the correct quantity and quality of human resourcesTop of Form

Abstract

In this study, magnetic natural zeolite (ZTM) was prepared using the coprecipitation method and dithizone was then immobilized on its surface in less toxic medium of alkaline to yield dithizone-immobilized magnetic zeolite (ZTM-Dtz). The synthesized ZTM-Dtz was characterized by FTIR and XRD, indicating that dithizone was successfully immobilized on the surface of ZTM. Vibrating sample magnetometer measurements showed superparamagnetic properties of either ZTM or ZTM-Dtz with magnetization values of 7.35 and 11.49 emu g−1, respectively. The adsorption kinetics of Pb(II) on both adsorbents followed a pseudo-second-order and their adsorption isotherms were properly described by the Langmuir model. The adsorption capacity of ZTM and ZTM-Dtz were 6.94 and 38.46 mg g−1, respectively, suggesting that dithizone immobilization enhanced the adsorbent capacity more than 5 times. The interaction mechanism between Pb(II) metal ion and ZTM was dominated by ion exchange, whereas that of ZTM-Dtz was mostly hydrogen bonds and complexation. The synthesized material is promising to be developed for the adsorption of heavy metal ions such as Pb(II) because it provides a high adsorption capacity and the adsorbents can be easily separated magnetically after application.

Abstract

The electrocatalytic degradation method with PbO2/rGO electrode (anode) was chosen to treat Safranine-O waste because it was cheap and environmentally friendly. This research aimed to study the electrocatalytic efficiency of PbO2/rGO working electrode in Safranine-O removal. In this research, rGO and PbO2/rGO electrodes were synthesized and applied to Safranine-O removal through electrochemical degradation. The characterization results of the morphology of rGO are in the form of a layered structure and have the atomic composition of C (82.87%) and O (17.13%). The characterization results of PbO2/rGO are uniform particles with gaps/pores that appear relatively large. The rGO particles in the form of sheets (layers) seem to be distributed on the surface of PbO2.  PbO2/rGO electrode has the atomic composition of C (87.24%), O (9.03), and Pb (3.73). The application of PbO2/rGO anode to the electrochemical degradation of Safranine-O showed good performance. It was able to perform dye removal (DE%), as well as a decrease in BOD and COD values up to >95% within 10 minutes at a concentration of 20 ppm. Application on real waste also showed the ability of dye removal, COD, and BOD reduction up to >95%. Coating or modifying the PbO2 anode with rGO can reduce the dissolution of Pb2+ ions in the solution during the electrochemical degradation. This study concluded that the PbO2/rGO electrode has improved the efficiency in Safranine-O degradation. Copyright © 2024 by Authors, Published by BCREC Publishing Group. Abstract

A study on the synthesis of magnetized adsorbents from coal fly ash (FA) for the adsorption of malachite green (MG) dye has been conducted. The method involves acid activation and ferrite magnetization of FA. The activation of FA was performed by mixing it in an HCl solution, while the magnetization was carried out by the coprecipitation method using the molar ratio of 1:2 of Fe2+/Fe3+. The magnetized coal fly ash adsorbent (FA/Fe3O4) was then utilized to adsorb the MG dye, and the results were compared with that adsorbed by activated fly ash (AFA). Characterization of the materials was carried out using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). The optimized parameters in the adsorption study were pH, adsorbent mass, contact time, and initial concentration. The optimum conditions for the adsorption of MG dye with AFA and FA/Fe3O4 are obtained at pH 7, the adsorbent mass of 0.1 and 0.25 g respectively, a contact time of 45 minutes, and the initial concentration of MG dye of 175 ppm. The MG adsorption on both adsorbents follows a pseudo-second-order kinetic model and can be best described by the Langmuir isotherm adsorption model. The synthesized adsorbent is prospective as it is low cost and easily separable from the solution using an external magnet after adsorption.
