Abstract

It is very important to continue to develop student potential, including by creating activities that combine the values of Islamic education and life skills. One of the interesting programs for students at SMPIT Al-Madani Kuantan Singingi is market day. This research aims to reveal how to instill Islamic education values and life skills in students during market day activities. This qualitative type of research uses interview techniques as a data collection instrument which is equipped with observation and documentation. The results of the research show that several aspects of Islamic education values, namely the values of divinity (tauhid), humanity (insaniyyah), unity (ittihad), deliberation (syuro), and justice ('is), in the domains of planning, implementation, and supervision can be implemented well. . However, the evaluation and follow-up domains have not been implemented enough. The second finding, namely the cultivation of life skills through market day activities, concluded that there were four aspects of life skills that were implemented well, namely the aspects of personal skills, rational thinking, social skills and vocational skills. However, one aspect of life skills, namely academic skills in the form of identifying variables, making connections, making hypotheses and conducting research, is not implanted or developed for students during market day activities. This is due to students' lack of intellectual abilities, as well as the short activity time which does not allow planning, implementation, reporting and evaluation of research.

Abstract

This study explores the concept of School-Based Quality Improvement Management (SBQIM) as a strategic approach to enhancing educational quality in Indonesia. SBQIM emphasizes the active involvement of school principals, teachers, and the community in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs. The role of transformational leadership by school principals is crucial in fostering a collaborative environment, motivating teachers, and effectively managing resources. Teachers' participation in decision-making and professional development, as well as community engagement in supporting school policies, are key factors for the success of SBQIM. However, challenges such as resource disparities between urban and rural schools and the lack of managerial competencies among school leaders need to be addressed through affirmative policies and continuous training. The study also highlights the importance of technology integration and regular evaluations involving all stakeholders to improve the implementation of SBQIM. With the right strategies and commitment from all parties, SBQIM can significantly contribute to improving the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores the learning strategies aligned with the learning achievements outlined in the Merdeka Curriculum, focusing on the importance of student-centered approaches. The Merdeka Curriculum aims to provide more flexibility in the teaching and learning process, enabling students to engage actively and take responsibility for their own learning. It emphasizes the development of 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving, which are essential for students' success in the modern world. The research highlights the relevance of teaching models such as Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in achieving these learning outcomes, as they encourage students to work collaboratively, think critically, and apply their knowledge to real-life situations. The role of teachers as facilitators, rather than mere transmitters of knowledge, is crucial in this context, as they guide and support students in exploring and mastering subject matter. Moreover, the study emphasizes the need for continuous and holistic assessment, not just to measure academic success but also to evaluate the development of essential skills and attitudes. In conclusion, implementing effective learning strategies in line with the Merdeka Curriculum not only promotes academic achievements but also prepares students for future challenges by fostering independence, creativity, and problem-solving abilities, making them well-equipped for the complexities of the 21st century.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing technical guidance for leaders and members of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKU). Technical guidance is an effort to increase the capacity and competency of board members to carry out legal, supervisory and financial functions. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, and data collection through in-depth interviews, observation and literature study. The research respondents consisted of leaders and members of the DPRD as well as related sources involved in the implementation of technical guidance. The research results show that the implementation of technical guidance has generally gone well, but there are still several obstacles such as limited time and resources which affect the active participation of DPRD members . In addition, the material presented in technical guidance is considered relevant, but needs to be adapted to regulatory developments and current issues. It is recommended that technical guidance be carried out on an ongoing basis using more interactive methods and involving practitioners and experts in related fields.

Abstract

The adsorption of Cd(II) ions onto an adsorbent of dithizone-immobilized coal fly ash (DCFA) was done using batch experiments. In this study, coal fly ash was initially activated using hydrochloric acid, and then its surface was modified by dithizone. The immobilization of activated coal fly ash (ACFA) with dithizone has been carried out to increase the adsorption capacity as the adsorbent of Cd(II) ions. The synthesized adsorbents (DCFA and ACFA) were characterized by FT-IR, XRD, TGA-DTA, adsorption-desorption N2 (BET), and SEM to confirm the successful immobilization of dithizone on the activated coal fly ash. The adsorption parameters, such as pH, adsorbent dosage, contact time, and initial concentration of Cd(II) ions on the adsorption efficiency, were optimized. Optimal adsorption was achieved at pH 7, an adsorbent dosage of 0.1 g, a contact time of 75 minutes, and an initial Cd(II) concentration of 50 mg L-1. The results showed that the adsorption kinetics were found to follow a pseudo-second-order kinetic model, and their adsorption isotherms were best described by the Langmuir model. Kinetics and adsorption isotherm studies suggested that the capacity, equilibrium constant, and energy of the DCFA in adsorbing Cd(II) ions are improved compared to those of non-immobilized ACFA. A sequential desorption study using different solvents of H2O, KNO3, HONH2HCl, and Na2EDTA revealed that binding Cd(II) ions to the adsorbents primarily involves chemisorption. The type of interaction shifts significantly from being predominantly electrostatic or ion-exchange in ACFA to primarily involving chelate complexation in DCFA.

Abstract

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a research object for various molecular fields of study, and DNA extraction is a basic procedure in molecular biology laboratories. DNA extraction methods are evolving, from several steps using organic solvents to recent technology using magnetic nanoparticles as adsorbents for the purification step. The use of magnetic nanoparticles for DNA extraction is magnetizing because it is simple without heavy machinery, such as centrifugation and organic solvents. The application of this method is extensive and diverse. This systematic review summarizes current development trends for some aspects of this DNA extraction system from the magnetic nanoparticle synthesis method, extraction protocol, and different types of samples used. The main purpose of this review is to provide an overall perspective of the use of magnetic nanoparticles in DNA extraction for researchers to start their exploration of this safe, simple, and rapid technique. In general, the most well-known magnetic nanoparticle preparation uses the coprecipitation method. The preferred particle is a plain and silica-coated magnetic nanoparticle using tetraethyl orthosilicate. The most common buffer systems for binding, washing, and elution are Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) and NaCl, 70% ethanol, and Tris–EDTA, respectively. The extraction system with magnetite can be used for various types of samples, ranging from human specimens to animal, plant, and bacterial specimens. The extraction yields using the magnetic-nanoparticle-based method were between 0.03 µg and 116.63 µg with a DNA purity ratio between 1.09 and 1.99.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan kurikulum di satuan pendidikan merupakan proses yang kompleks dan dinamis, yang tidak hanya membutuhkan pemahaman terhadap isi kurikulum, tetapi juga keterampilan dalam menerapkannya secara kontekstual. Dalam praktiknya, guru sebagai pelaksana utama sering menghadapi berbagai tantangan, baik dalam hal perencanaan, pelaksanaan, maupun evaluasi pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan mekanisme kontrol dan pendampingan yang dapat memastikan kurikulum berjalan sesuai dengan tujuan yang ditetapkan. Supervisi pendidikan hadir sebagai salah satu pendekatan strategis untuk mengevaluasi sekaligus meningkatkan kualitas pelaksanaan kurikulum di sekolah. Supervisi yang dilaksanakan secara terencana dan profesional mampu memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengembangan kompetensi guru, khususnya dalam aspek pedagogik, perencanaan pembelajaran, dan manajemen kelas. Melalui berbagai teknik seperti observasi kelas, diskusi kelompok, pelatihan, serta umpan balik konstruktif, supervisi tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat kontrol, tetapi juga sebagai sarana pembinaan dan peningkatan kapasitas guru. Dengan meningkatnya kualitas proses pembelajaran, hasil belajar siswa pun dapat terdorong secara signifikan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji lebih dalam peran supervisi dalam proses evaluasi pelaksanaan kurikulum, serta dampaknya terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar. Melalui pendekatan studi pustaka, artikel ini menyajikan analisis teoritik dan empiris dari berbagai literatur ilmiah terbaru yang relevan dalam lima tahun terakhir. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi bukan sekadar kegiatan administratif, melainkan proses edukatif yang memerlukan strategi, pendekatan, dan kolaborasi yang tepat antar pelaku pendidikan. Supervisi yang dilaksanakan secara konsisten dan berbasis kebutuhan nyata guru terbukti mampu memperkuat kualitas pendidikan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) tugas dan tanggung jawab penjamin mutu di Al-Izhar School Pekanbaru, (2) Strategi Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan, dan Pengendalian penjamin mutu dalam meningkatkan kinerja pendidik dan tenaga, (3) Tantangan dan kendala yang dihadapi penjamin mutu dalam meningkatkan kinerja pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini deskriptif kualitatif. hasil dari penelitian menjelaskan bahwa (1) Strategi penjamin mutu di Al-Izhar Schol sudah dirancang dengan baik, ini terbukti dapat meningkatkan kinerja sebagian besar pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan. (2) faktor pendukungnya adalah suport dari yayasan, sistem pengendalian yang kuat, kerja sama dengan lembaga luar, sistem penghargaan berbasis kinerja, serta adanya program pengembangan profesional. (3) Pelaksanaan Strategi masih menghadapi berbagai hambatan, seperti kurangnya profesionalisme, motivasi yang rendah, ketidaksesuaian kualifikasi dengan tugas, dan keterbatasan sumber daya. (4) Agar strategi efektif, perlu peningkatan motivasi internal, pemerataan program pengembangan, peningkatan profesionalitas, dan keseimbangan program antara pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan B Kompetensi profesional guru merupakan faktor penting dalam menentukan kualitas proses pembelajaran. Supervisi kepala sekolah sebagai bentuk pembinaan dan bimbingan berperan strategis dalam mendukung peningkatan kualitas guru, baik dari segi pengetahuan, keterampilan, maupun sikap profesional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan utama adalah kepala sekolah, dan informan tambahan adalah guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan supervisi dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan utama: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Supervisi yang dilakukan bersifat membina dan mendukung, serta mengedepankan pendekatan yang reflektif dan humanis. Faktor pendukung dalam pelaksanaan supervisi antara lain adalah komitmen kepala sekolah, hubungan komunikatif antara kepala sekolah dan guru, serta kultur kerja kolaboratif. Adapun faktor penghambatnya mencakup keterbatasan waktu kepala sekolah, kurangnya sumber daya pendukung supervisi, serta kurangnya konsistensi dalam pelaksanaan supervisi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa supervisi kepala sekolah yang terstruktur dan berkesinambungan memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru di sekolah berbasis Islam terpadu.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tentang Landasan dan Kebijakan Kurikulum di Indonesia. Kurikulum merupakan seperangkat rencana dan pengaturan mengenai tujuan, isi dan bahan pelajaran, serta cara yang digunakan sebagai pedoman penyelenggaraan kegiatan pembelajaran untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan tertentu. Dalam penelitian ini membahas kurikulum pendidikan di Indonesia dari aspek landasan hukum dan kebijakan. Melalui literatur terkait, ditemukan bahwa pedoman dalam menyusun kurikulum ialah kurikulum dalam UU Sisdiknas No. 20 Tahun 2003 pasal 36 mengemukakan bahwa “kurikulum pada semua jenjang dan jenis pendidikan dikembangkan dengan prinsip diverisifikasi sesuai dengan satuan pendidikan, potensi daerah, dan siswa. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Metode Kualitatif, metode kualitatif merupakan pendekatan yang berupa menghimpun data, mengolah data dan menganalisis data. Hasil yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa saja landasan, kebijakan, peranan dan kedudukan kurikulum pendidikan di Indonesia dan kebijakan yang dibuat oleh pemerintah dalam pengembangan kurikulum dari masa ke masa menjadikan pendidikan Indonesia harus lebih situasional dan adaptif, karena segala perubahan yang terjadi sudah direncanakan sebaik mungkin mengingat peran dan kedudukan kurikulum yang strategis. Dalam rangka mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran tersebut diperlukan suatu kurikulum yang dijadikan sebagai pedoman bagi para pendidik dalam menyelenggarakan kegiatan pembelajaran.
