Abstract

The activity of using office facilities such as turning on lights is usually carried out manually by human physical effort. Unbeknownst, this activity reduces the effectiveness of office users' performance and raises concerns about excessive electricity usage due to not knowing whether the lights are still on or have been turned off. Therefore, a smart office application based on the Internet of Things is needed to control the lighting conditions and monitor electricity usage. In this study, the device is developed using several sensors including Pzem-004T, RTC, LDR, and Firebase database. The research results in (1) light control can be done through an Android application utilizing the Firebase database divided into two modes: automatic and manual; (2) by utilizing serial communication from Esp32 with PZEM004T, the smartphone application can display real-time data and usage history to facilitate users in controlling and monitoring the lights; (3) light sensors (LDR) and Ultrasonic Sensors (HC_SR 04) function well to adjust the range of values as considerations for when the lights should turn on and off; (4) with PZEM004T-V3.0, the application can monitor energy usage, even up to the total cost of usage.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan literasi teknologi dan mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21 pada siswa Sekolah Dasar yang memiliki akses terbatas terhadap teknologi. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah mengenalkan dan melatih robotika sebagai sarana menumbuhkembangkan bakat dan minat siswa di bidang teknologi khususnya robotika, serta mengurangi ketergantungan pada gawai. Mitra sasaran adalah siswa SD di Desa Tlagah Kabupten Sampang, dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 40 Siswa dan 8 Guru. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan yang diadaptasi dari Vincent II, J.W. Evaluasi kegiatan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test, observasi dan wawancara. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan pemahaman awal siswa yang terbatas tentang robotika. Setelah pelatihan, rata-rata skor post-test meningkat signifikan dari 35 menjadi 82 menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep robotika. Observasi mencatat partisipasi aktif dan kreativitas siswa dalam merancang robot. Wawancara menunjukkan respon positif dari siswa dan guru terhadap peningkatan minat dan kreativitas siswa. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan robotika efektif dalam menumbuhkembangkan bakat dan minat siswa, serta berpotensi besar untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut sebagai upaya membangun generasi muda yang siap menghadapi tantangan era digital.

Abstract

The development of telecommunications technology in this world has changed very rapidly. Changes are made to access technology using the transmission media, which uses fiber optic technology, which has the advantage of being free from interference, large and fast data delivery capacity. An Internet Service Provider (ISP) is a provider of construction services and management of network infrastructure that always meets customer needs. Customer satisfaction with the services provided by ISP is also important in the era of increasingly tight market competition. Quality of Service (QoS) testing in internet networks needs to be done so that customers get optimal service. This study analyzes the quality of internet networks with fiber optic media on the end user side with the data sniffing method using Wireshark software that records video data traffic on the YouTube platform. The results of the data recording are processed using the QoS method with Throughput, Packet Loss, Delay, and Jitter parameters. The QoS assessment index is divided into Excellent, Good, Fair, and Poor classes according to the TIPHON standard. Data from these parameters is classified using the Naive Bayes, KNN, and Decision Tree methods. The results of applying the algorithms show the highest Accuracy value in the Decision Tree algorithm of 97%, while the highest Precision and Recall are in the KNN algorithm with values of 94% and 85%.

Abstract

Solar energy is very important because it is a renewable and environmentally friendly source of energy. The demand for solar energy is increasing every year because people are increasingly aware of the importance of using clean and sustainable energy sources. This study aims to analyze the performance of solar panels using a solar irradiation forecasting model developed by the Fuzzy Time Series and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) methods. Solar irradiation data obtained from measurement of solar irradiation by means of IoT is used as input in the forecasting model. The forecasting model is then tested to see its accuracy in predicting solar panel performance. The test results show that the developed forecasting model has high accuracy in predicting solar panel performance. Therefore, the Fuzzy Time Series and ANN methods can be used as an effective tool in analyzing the performance of solar panels by taking into account environmental factors that have an impact on electricity production from solar panels. This research can be a reference for solar panel developers to improve solar panel performance by utilizing solar irradiation forecasting information.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat saat ini bermitra kepada Desa Sambigede, Kecamatan Sumberpucung, Kabupaten Malang. Desa yang memiliki luas 2963 hektar ini terletak di sebelah selatan jalur alternatif transportasi dari Malang menuju Blitar. Pemerintah Desa Sambigede, sering mengadakan rapat rutin yang diadakan setiap bulan, bertempat di Pendopo Desa Sambigede. Rapat rutin ini dihadiri oleh perangkat desa serta masyarakat desa. Dalam menyelenggarakan rapat tentunya diperlukan sebuah banner sebagai informasi awal/tujuan diadakannya suatu rapat. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra yaitu pada kurangnya praktisi pemasangan banner, pemasangan banner tersebut masih menggunakan tali rafia lalu dikaitkan ke paku. Oleh karena itu ,diperlukan adanya inovasi teknologi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan urgensi rapat untuk menambah nilai estetika dan fungsional ruang local serba guna berupa stage background berbasis wireless. Wireless adalah jaringan yang menghubungkan telekomunikasi perangkat satu dengan yang lainnya tanpa menggunakan media kabel sebagai media penghantarnya. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini melalui Stage Background Berbasis Wireless dan diharapkan dapat menambah nilai estetika dan fungsional ruang local serba guna serta mempermudah dalam pemasangan banner di Desa Sambigede, Kecamatan Sumberpucung, Kabupaten Malang. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian di Desa Sambigede ini meliputi observasi, perancangan, pengujian produk, pelatihan, serah terima produk, dokumentasi dan pelaporan, serta publikasi.

Abstract

Dota 2, a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena game, is widely popular among gamers, with many attempting to create efficient artificial intelligence that can play like a human. However, current AI technology still falls short in some areas, despite some AI models being able to play decently. To address this issue, researchers continue to explore ways to enhance AI performance in Dota 2. This study focuses on the process of developing artificial intelligence code in Dota 2 and integrating the particle swarm optimization algorithm into Dota 2 Team's Desire. Although particle swarm optimization is an old evolutionary algorithm, it is still considered effective in achieving optimal solutions. The study found that PSO significantly improved the AI Team's Desire and enabled it to win against Default AI of similar levels or players with low MMR. However, it was still unable to defeat opponents with higher AI levels. Furthermore, this study is expected to assist other researchers in developing artificial intelligence in Dota 2, as the complexity of the development process lies not only in AI but also in language, structure, and communication between files.

Abstract

Sunlight is an alternative energy source that can be used as a substitute for fossil fuels. Renewable energy potential has not been widely utilized, especially in Indonesia. Utilization of sunlight, one of which is done indoors to save electricity and the source is not limited. This study aims to predict solar irradiance to determine the value of sunlight intensity in an area as the main source of the utilization of renewable electrical energy through the solar tube system with the LSTM method. This low-cost system offers a renewable way and considers the potential for solar radiation as an energy-efficient alternative based on the intensity of light captured by the solar tube. This research uses two methods. The LSTM method is a recurrent neural network forecasting technique that can study deeply and extract temporal relationships in data because of its large architecture. The exponential smoothing method is part of the time series forecasting technique and is used when the dataset has no cyclic variance and trend. Data collection was carried out in sunny conditions because it represents a stable condition in sunlight. The results obtained from the two methods are evaluated with RMSE and MAE values to choose the optimal approach. Due to lower RMSE and MAE values in this comparison, LSTM performs better than Multiple Repeat and Exponential Smoothing in terms of performance.

Abstract

Community service with SME Sakinah Bakery is carried out to increase the production capacity and quality. Sakinah Bakery produces sponge cake and pastries that are very popular within the community and spread across 500 vendor shops in Malang City and Regency. Consumer demands has not been fully fulfilled due to low production capacity. About 10% of the product are undercooked or overcooked. These low quality products reduce the taste and aroma, breaks easily and becomes mushy quickly. Based on surveys and interviews, partner needs an large capacity oven that can produce well-cooked biscuits. The production tool that determine the cake ripeness is oven. This problem is overcomed by making an oven with electronic controls to stabilize the temperature and baking time. Temperature control with sensor feedback mounted on the combustion chamber forms a stable closed loop control system. Proper heating is obtained by controlling the LPG main valve. The three furnaces are spread out to get an even heating. The oven was able to increase 60% the production capacity per bake. The number of fail product decreases by 5.19% indicated that the product quality increases. Technology transfer in the form of training is carried out to maintain the quality.
