Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the contribution of facility learning process and student thinking skill towards skill competencies of local area network installation in private vocational students computer engineering and network in Malang City. Type and data analysis of this research is using a quantitative approach. The samples used are as many as 232 students. Data collection for facility learning process and thingking skill is using questionnaire, while data collection for skill competencies of local area network installation is using value documentation. Data analysis included descriptive and regression. The results showed that: (1) the contribution of facility learning process towards skill competencies of local area network installation by 22,3%; (2) the contribution of student thingking skill towards skill competencies of local area network installation by 35,1%; and (3) the contribution of facility learning process and student thingking skill simultaneously towards skill competencies of local area network installation by 44,1%.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi sarana proses belajar dan kemampuan berpikir siswa terhadap kompetensi keterampilan instalasi jaringan lokal siswa TKJ di SMK Negeri Kota Malang. Jenis dan data analisis penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 232 siswa. Pengumpulan data untuk variabel sarana proses belajar dan kemampuan berpikir siswa dilakukan dengan angket, sedangkan untuk variabel kompetensi keterampilan instalasi jaringan lokal dilakukan dengan dokumentasi nilai. Analisis data meliputi deskriptif dan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) kontribusi sarana proses belajar terhadap kompetensi keterampilan instalasi jaringan lokal siswa sebesar 22,3%; (2) kontribusi kemampuan berpikir siswa terhadap kompetensi keterampilan instalasi jaringan lokal siswa sebesar 35,1%; dan (3) kontribusi sarana proses belajar dan kemampuan berpikir siswa secara simultan terhadap kompetensi keterampilan instalasi jaringan lokal siswa sebesar 44,1%.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the result of each indicator of creative thinking and communication and to know the difference in creative and communication thinking skills students in the application of Blended Project Based Learning in Data and Computer Networking courses. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods. The research subjects were PTI S1 students of the 2017. The results of the study are as follows most of the frequency of acquisition of indicators of creative thinking and communication, Offering B is higher than class C; the average Offering B has a higher level of creative thinking and communication skills than class C which is 88.20 for creative thinking and 89.51 for communication.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perolehan masing-masing indikator berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi serta mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi mahasiswa pada penerapan Blended Project Based Learning matakuliah Komunikasi Data dan Jaringan Komputer. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa S1 PTI angkatan 2017. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut sebagian besar frekuensi perolehan indikator berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi, Offering B lebih tinggi daripada kelas C; rata-rata Offering B memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas C yaitu sebesar 88,20 untuk berpikir kreatif, dan 89,51 untuk komunikasi.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to know the contribution given by each variable to S1 Informatics Engineering students. These variables are self-concept and learning achievement on student employability skills in S1 Informatics Engineering Study Program. This research is a type of quantitative research. The population used amounted to 111 students in class 2014. Data collection in the study used a questionnaire. The research conducted is the type of associative explanatory research. The results of the study show that (1) The student's self concept contributes significantly to the results of the student's employability skills, which is 51.2% and (2) learning motivation contributes significantly to student employability skills, which is 23.3%.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sumbangan yang diberikan setiap variabel kepada mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Teknik Informatika. Variabel tersebut adalah konsep diri dan prestasi belajar terhadap employability skills mahasiswa Prodi S1 Pendidikan Teknik Informatika. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan berjumlah 111 mahasiswa angkatan 2014. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian menggunakan angket. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah jenis penelitian eksplanasi asosiatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) konsep diri mahasiswa berkontribusi secara signifikan pada hasil employability skills mahasiswa sebesar 51,2%, dan (2) motivasi belajar berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap employability skills mahasiswa sebesar 23,3%.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the perception of teachers towards the integration of ICT in learning; experience and ability to use computers in learning; availability of ICT facilities; and ICT training of teachers who have been followed. This research uses descriptive research design. Samples were taken for 166 vocational high school teachers, 53 adaptiveteachers, 38 normative teachers, and 75 productive teachers with proportionate stratified random sampling. The data collected questionnaire data, documentation studies, and interviews. The results showed that the perception of teachers towards the integration of ICT in learning included in the criteria is very high (85.51%). The ability and experience of teachers to use the computers included in the criteria is high (77.22%) and the availability of ICT facilities included in the criteria is high (75.35%). Teachers respond positively to the development of technology, basic knowledge of ICT, and has been using ICT to help the learning process. Other research results show that the intensity of training teachers in ICT included in the criteria is poor (58.5%). This type of training which have been followed by teachers, among others: a) basic computer use, b) innovative ICT-based learning, c) making the media presentation, d) the Internet, e) a word processor/script, and f) processing a number. Low intensity training taken by teachers due to the delivery of ICT training programs in schools have not been going well, so that teachers rarely get training and mentoring, especially from fellow teachers.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi guru terhadap integrasi TIK dalam pembelajaran; pengalaman dan kemampuan menggunakan komputer dalam pembelajaran; ketersediaan fasilitas TIK; pelatihan TIK yang pernah diikuti guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif. Sampel diambil sebesar 166 guru SMK, dengan rincian 53 guru adaptif, 38 guru normatif, dan 75 guru produktif dengan proportionate stratified random sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data kuesioner, studi dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi guru terhadap integrasi TIK dalam pembelajaran masuk dalam kriteria sangat tinggi (85,51%). Kemampuan dan pengalaman guru untuk memanfaatkan komputer masuk dalam kategori baik (77,22%) dan ketersedian fasilitas TIK masuk dalam kategori baik (75,35%). Guru merespon positif terhadap perkembangan teknologi, memiliki pengetahuan dasar TIK, dan telah memanfaatkan TIK untuk membantu proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian lainnya menunjukkan bahwa intensitas guru dalam mengikuti pelatihan TIK masuk dalam kategori kurang baik (58,5%). Jenis pelatihan yang pernah diikuti oleh guru, antara lain (a) penggunaan komputer dasar, (b) inovasi pembelajaran berbasis TIK, (c) pembuatan media presentasi, (d) internet, (e) pengolah kata/naskah, dan (f) pengolah angka. Rendahnya intensitas pelatihan yang diikuti guru dikarenakan program penyelenggaran pelatihan TIK di sekolah belum berjalan dengan baik, sehingga guru jarang mengikuti pelatihan dan kurang mendapatkan pendampingan, terutama dari rekan sesama guru.

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses related to the implementation of SMK production units in Malang. The activities of the production unit consist of planning, execution, and evaluation. The purpose of this study is to know the dominant factors that affect the implementation of production units with data processing using factor analysis. The results showed that the dominant factors affecting the implementation of production units are shown by factor 1 with a total of 63.602% explained variants. Factors in it are producers of production activities, integration with learning resources, as a place of industrial practice and entrepreneurship, distributed profit management, production activity guidance, distribution of marketing tasks, facilities and production activities, marketing work program, and marketing form.Abstrak: Penelitian ini  membahas terkait keterlaksanaan unit produksi SMK di Kota Malang. Kegiatan unit produksi terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor-faktor dominan yang memengaruhi keterlaksanaan unit produksi dengan pengolahan data menggunakan analisis faktor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor dominan yang memengaruhi keterlaksanaan unit produksi ditunjukkan oleh faktor pertama dengan total varian yang bisa diterangkan sebesar 63,602%. Muatan faktor didalamnya yaitu pelaksana kegiatan produksi, integrasi dengan sumber belajar, sebagai tempat praktik industri dan wirausaha, pengelolaan profit terdistribusi, pedoman kegiatan produksi, pembagian tugas pemasaran, sarana dan prasaran kegiatan produksi, program kerja pemasaran, serta bentuk pemasaran.

Abstract

This is descriptive quantitative research which has purpose to reveal and to describe Kurikulum 2013 implementation in teaching process from student and teaching of Vocational School in Malang point of view. The reviewed teaching process covers teaching planning, teaching implementation, and teaching evaluation. Research variable has 5 study implementation components (teaching planning reviewed from teacher, teaching implementation reviewed from teacher, teaching evaluation reviewed from teacher, teaching implementation reviewed from student, and teaching evaluation reviewed from student). Research sample and population are teacher and student of Computer and Networking of Vocational School which is already applied Kurikulum 2013 in Malang. Numbers of Research samples are 35 teacher respondents and 209 student respondents. Research instrument is semi open questionnaire which has statement items using Likert scale variable. Research result shows that teacher understanding about teaching planning based on Kurikulum 2013 in Computer and Networking of Vocational School in Malang are very good 86,64%. It is proved by teacher ability in arranging syllabus and teaching implementation plan. Teacher Understanding in teaching process based on Kurikulum 2013 are in very good category 86,50%. The result is shown in teachers ability in handling class. Teacher understanding in teaching evaluation based on Kurikulum 2013 in Computer and Networking of Vocational School in Malang are in good category 82,29%. This is approved by teachers ability in doing authentic approach. Student response or perception research result on teaching implementation based on Kurikulum 2013 conducted by Computer and Networking of Vocational School teachers in Malang are good category 72,3%. Student perception on teaching evaluation or appraisal based on Kurikulum 2013 conducted by Computer and Networking of Vocational School teacher in Malang are in good category 75,82%.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi Kurikulum 2013 pada proses pembelajaran. Proses pembelajaran ditinjau dari perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Variabel dalam penelitian ini meliputi lima komponen studi implementasi Kurikulum 2013 (perencanaan pembelajaran ditinjau dari guru, pelaksanaan pembelajaran ditinjau dari guru, evaluasi pembelajaran ditinjau dari guru, pelaksanaan pembelajaran ditinjau dari siswa, dan evaluasi pembelajaran yang ditinjau dari siswa) yang berfokus pada proses pembelajaran. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan pada Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Kota Malang yang sudah menerapkan Kurikulum 2013 sejak awal diterapkan pada tahun 2013. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil sebesar 35 untuk responden guru dan 209 untuk responden siswa paket Keahlian Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa angket semi terbuka yang berisi butir-butir pernyataan, dengan pengukuran angket variabel menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, pemahaman guru tentang perencanaan pembelajaran berbasis Kurikulum 2013 masuk dalam kategori sangat baik, dengan persentase sebesar 86,64%. ini dibuktikan dari kemampuan guru dalam menyusun silabus dan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Untuk pemahaman guru tentang pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis Kurikulum 2013 masuk dalam kategori sangat baik, dengan nilai persentase sebesar 86,50%. Hal ini terlihat dari kemampuan guru dalam hal penguasaan kelas. Untuk pemahaman guru tentang evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis Kurikulum 2013 masuk dalam kategori baik, dengan nilai persentase sebesar 82.29%. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari kemampuan guru dalam hal melakukan pendekatan autentik. Sementara itu, respon siswa tentang pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis Kurikulum 2013 yang dilakukan oleh guru menunjukkan kategori cukup baik, dengan persentase sebesar 72.37%. Untuk persepsi siswa tentang evaluasi atau penilaian pembelajaran berbasis Kurikulum 2013 yang dilakukan oleh guru masuk dalam kategori baik, dengan persentase sebesar 75.82%.

Abstract

Amount of information in the form of online news needs to be balanced with the ability of readers to sort or classify subjective or objective news. So that a special system is needed that can be used for online news objectivity classification so that it can help readers to pick up subjective or objective news. This research proposes the development of techniques in machine learning to help sort out news objectivity automatically based on the content of the news. The algorithm proposed is K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm. News samples obtained from kompas.com by scrapping occur imbalance classes where the number of objective news and subjective news are not balanced. So that it can affect the performance of the classification algorithm. One technique to overcome the imbalance class is to apply the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) technique.. SMOTE is the generation of minority data as much as the majority data. This study compares the performance of KNN algorithm without SMOTE and the performance of KNN algorithm with SMOTE. Based on the results of the study by applying a variety of neighboring k values, namely 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9, it was found that the application of SMOTE could improve the accuracy of the KNN algorithm at values ​​k = 1 and k = 3 with an average increase of 3.36. At values ​​k 5, 7 and 9 the algorithm experiences an average decrease in accuracy of 6.67.

Abstract

Salah  satu faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa adalah penggunaan model pembelajaran terapan yang tidak optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemandirian dan hasil belajar Designing Network menggunakan model Project Based Learning dan modul digital seminar Think Pair Share padasiswakelas XI TKJ di SMKN 3 Malang. Metodepenelitianinimenggunakan Quasi Experiment dengan Post-Test Only Design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi independensi dan ketermapilan, serta pertanyaan postest dalam bentuk pilihan ganda dengan jumlah 34 pertanyaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kemandirian siswa dengan nilai signifikansi Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,003. Namun, tidak ada perbedaan  yang signifikan dalam hasil belajar dari domain pengetahuan Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,577 dan Sig keterampilan siswa. (2-tailed) = 0,431.AbstractOne of the factors causing low student learning outcomes is the use of applied learning model is not optimal. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of self-reliance and learning result of Designing Network using model of Project Based Learning and Think Pair Share digital seminar module in student class XI TKJ in SMKN 3 Malang. This research method uses Quasi Experiment with Post-Test Only Design. The instrument used is the observation sheet of independence and ketermapilan, as well as posttest questions in the form of multiple choice with the number 34 questions. The results showed that there was a significant difference in student self-reliance with significance value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.003. However, there is no significant difference in the learning outcomes of the Sig knowledge domain. (2-tailed) = 0.577 and Sig student skills. (2-tailed) = 0.43.

Abstract

Community service with SME Sakinah Bakery is carried out to increase the production capacity and quality. Sakinah Bakery produces sponge cake and pastries that are very popular within the community and spread across 500 vendor shops in Malang City and Regency. Consumer demands has not been fully fulfilled due to low production capacity. About 10% of the product are undercooked or overcooked. These low quality products reduce the taste and aroma, breaks easily and becomes mushy quickly. Based on surveys and interviews, partner needs an large capacity oven that can produce well-cooked biscuits. The production tool that determine the cake ripeness is oven. This problem is overcomed by making an oven with electronic controls to stabilize the temperature and baking time. Temperature control with sensor feedback mounted on the combustion chamber forms a stable closed loop control system. Proper heating is obtained by controlling the LPG main valve. The three furnaces are spread out to get an even heating. The oven was able to increase 60% the production capacity per bake. The number of fail product decreases by 5.19% indicated that the product quality increases. Technology transfer in the form of training is carried out to maintain the quality.

Abstract

Abstract Production rates in small and medium enterprises are generally not optimal because the production process is done manually. This is also found in Sakinah Bakery's small household business which produces dry sponge cakes and bread. Product sales have been successfully carried out in more than 500 stores in Malang Raya and continue to grow so that they are often late meeting market demand. The production process has used automatic machines such as mixers and ovens. However, the process of pouring the sponge dough into the mold is done manually with inaccurate and slow measurements. This service activity aims to develop an automatic sponge machine to pour dough accurately and quickly. Another goal is to reduce direct and intensive human contact with food ingredients to suppress the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The flow of activities is the identification of needs, design, and manufacture of machines, testing, and technology transfer. The machine can perform dough pouring, valve opening and closing, and shifting of mold automatically controlled by electronic devices. The machine can function according to the design with an accuracy of 95% and the speed of pouring is twice than manual one. Technology transfer is carried out through operation training. Abstrak Tingkat produksi pada usaha kecil dan menengah pada umumnya tidak optimal karena proses produksi dilakukan secara manual. Hal ini juga dijumpai pada usaha kecil rumah tangga Sakinah Bakery yang memproduksi kue bolu kering dan roti. Penjualan produk telah sukses dilakukan di lebih 500 toko di Malang Raya dan terus tumbuh sehingga sering terlambat memenuhi permintaan pasar. Proses produksi telah menggunakan mesin-mesin otomatis seperti mixer dan oven. Namun proses penuangan adonan bolu kedalam cetakan dilakukan secara manual dengan takaran yang tidak akurat dan lambat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan mesin bolu otomatis untuk menuangkan adonan secara akurat dan cepat. Tujuan lainnya adalah untuk mengurangi kontak manusia dengan bahan makanan secara langsung dan intensif untuk menekan penyebaran virus COVID-19. Alur kegiatan adalah identifikasi kebutuhan, perancangan dan pembuatan mesin, pengujian dan transfer teknologi. Mesin yang dibuat dapat melakukan penuangan adonan, buka-tutup nozle, dan pergeseran wadah cetakan secara otomatis yang dikendalikan oleh perangkat elektronik. Mesin pembuat bolu yang dihasilkan dapat berfungsi sesuai rancangan dengan akurasi takaran 98% dan kecepatan penuangan hampir 2 kali lebih cepat dibanding penuangan secara manual. Transfer teknologi dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan pengoperasian dan perawatan kepada pemilik dan karyawan.
