Abstract

This French language training is based on the limited ability of foreign languages other than English, namely French for tour guides in Pangandaran Regency. Until now there has been no formal education institution that provides French language in Pangandaran Regency, even though this area is an important tourist destination for West Java which is visited by many french tourists in 2019 (see Nurroni, 2019). Meanwhile, according to BAPPEDA West Java Provincial Government, this regency will become an international class tourist destination in 2021-2025. Departing from this goal, this service program provides training in French Tourism which can provide insight into french language skill to tour guides in Pangandaran Regency so that it will lead to improving the quality of their languages. This service aims to 1) provide French Tourism training for tour guides in Pangandaran Regency; 2) conduct a simulation of the jeux de rôles-actes de parole technique (role play-technical speaking acts) based on local wisdom of Pangandaran Regency. Based on the results of the training, tour guides in Pangandaran Regency are familiar with the French alphabet and numbers, are able to carry out simple conversations, and introduce tourist objects in Pangandaran in a simple manner

Abstract

Instagram merupakan media sosial berbasis foto dan video yang penggunanya terbanyak di dunia. Seiring berkembangnya teknologi, kini Instagram dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran bahasa asing karena memiliki fitur yang menarik sehingga dapat diakses secara luas. Penelitian ini berfokus pada proses perancangan dan pengembangan media pembelajaran Français du Secrétariat (Bahasa Prancis kesekretariatan) berbasis media sosial Instagram. Masalah yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah masih belum banyaknya penggunaan media sosial Instagram sebagai media pembelajaran Français du Secrétariat yang dapat diakses secara luas. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan proses perancangan dan pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis media sosial Instagram, pemilihan materi yang sesuai untuk disajikan secara digital, serta persepsi mahasiswa terhadap efektivitas media tersebut. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Research & Development (R&D) dengan model PPE (Planning, Production, Evaluation) oleh Richey & Klein (2014). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Media dirancang melalui analisis kebutuhan media, dan analisis kebutuhan materi, dilanjutkan dengan desain produk, dan mengunggahnya di Instagram @cours.du.secretaire. 2) Hasil evaluasi materi dan media dari penilai ahli (expert judgement) menunjukkan bahwa media layak untuk digunakan. 3) Diperoleh data yang menunjukkan 90,5% dari 14 mahasiswa menilai media pembelajaran ini efektif dan layak digunakan dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran Français du Secrétariat secara mandiri. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis Instagram ini memenuhi kriteria kelayakan untuk mendukung pembelajaran Français du Secrétariat secara mandiri.

Abstract

Docudrama is a television program that offers a hybrid genre between reality and fiction to convey the socio-cultural reality of Ciayumajakuning in the form of drama. The purpose of this study is to describe the structure of drama, visualization, and audio of the docudrama prototype, and to support the study of the trial results through appreciation. The method used is descriptive analysis applied to the docudrama prototype. The prototype public test was conducted through a questionnaire to analyze audience appreciation. The title Becak Stasiun represents the Ciayumajakuning community (Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka, and Kuningan) is a drama performance set in a train station, Nasi Jamblang, and a fishing village with the Cirebon landscape that supports its visualization. The language used is a mixture of Javanese and Sundanese dialects, accompanied by music and regional songs with a tarling nuance. The results of this study indicate that the audience appreciation survey shows that the Becak Stasiun Dokudrama is entertaining and educational by highlighting the potential of Cirebon, including its artistic and cultural values. As a television show, the prototype of the Docudrama Becak Stasiun represents the ethnography of the Ciayumajakuning community and functions as a medium for conveying local wisdom that attracts the interest of the people of Cirebon and its surroundings.

Abstract

This study is a field study to find out more about the cultural practice of religious moderation in the Bedouin convert community in Kompol Leuwidamar Village, Lebak Banten, which has lived for hundreds of years. The method used in this research is a qualitative method which is a field research. This is an attempt to obtain valid and intact data regarding religious moderation in the view of the Baduy Muslim Converts Community in Kompol Village. The data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The values ??of religious moderation (national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and cultural accommodative) in the Baduy convert community in Kompol village were already practiced before the government had a strategic study on 'Religious Moderation'. They have been practicing mutual cooperation, mutual help, dialogue, tolerance, and being adaptive to foreign cultures since hundreds of centuries ago, even before they became converts, the practice of religious moderation had become a way of life everyday, consciously or unconsciously. . Even though there has actually been a shift in cultural values, the Mualaf Community is able to live side by side with the Inner Baduy

Abstract

This study investigates the semantic translation strategies employed in the meaning shifts of Charles Perrault’s fairy tale Les Souhaits Ridicules, translated into Indonesian. Utilizing a qualitative approach and Chesterman’s 1997 translation strategy theory, the research identified and classified semantic techniques including synonymy, paraphrasing, antonymy, converses, emphasis, distribution, and hyponymy shifts. Analysis of 92 data points conclusively revealed  that paraphrasing (43.48%) and synonymy (27.17%) were the most prevalent strategies, with emphasis shifts also significantly present (17.39%). These findings indicate that meaning shifts are executed functionally and adaptively, aiming to preserve acceptability and readability for young Indonesian readers without compromising the story’s moral message or narrative essence. By comparing these results with prior studies, this research offers a substantial contribution to the exploration of semantic strategies in children’s literature translation, underscoring the importance of translator flexibility and cultural sensitivity. The study’s limitations, particularly its scope and singular focus on semantic strategies, provide clear directions for future research into cross-linguistic and cross-cultural translation within the fairy tale genre.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare the concepts of Islamic education from the perspectives of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari and KH. Ahmad Dahlan. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature review. The collected data are analyzed descriptively. This study concludes that KH. Hasyim Asy'ari is known for his pesantren education model, which emphasizes the deepening of religious knowledge and character building, while KH. Ahmad Dahlan pioneered the integration of religious and general knowledge through the modern madrasah system. Pesantren and madrasah are two main educational models that complement each other in shaping a generation of Muslims who are knowledgeable, have good character, and are ready to face the challenges of the times. The integration of religious and general knowledge is the key to creating holistic Islamic education that is relevant to the needs of modern society. NU plays a role in preserving classical Islamic scholarly traditions through pesantren and madrasah diniyah, while Muhammadiyah develops modern education that adapts to the times without neglecting Islamic values. The educational concepts and practices proposed by these two figures have become important pillars in national development, making Islamic education in Indonesia adaptive, inclusive, and rooted in Islamic values. The contributions of NU and Muhammadiyah to contemporary Islamic education are highly significant in addressing the challenges of the times. By combining the strength of traditional scholarship with modern innovation, both organizations have created a holistic, adaptive model of Islamic education that is oriented toward Islamic values and 21st-century competencies. Their synergy must continue to be strengthened to shape a moderate, competitive Muslim generation ready to face the era of globalization.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Cognitive Load Theory (CLT) and multisensory learning to enhance cognitive understanding and student engagement in the digital age. Through a systematic analysis of 45 literature sources (2018–2024), a Neuro-Cognitive Load framework was developed that combines principles from cognitive psychology and neuroscience. Findings indicate that this integrated approach reduces external load by 32% through optimal visual-auditory presentation (<7 minutes), while activating brain regions associated with multisensory processing. At the practical level, the combination of worked examples and haptic simulations enhances STEM knowledge transfer by 41%. Cognitive impacts include improved retention (55%), reduced conceptual errors (38%), and enhanced knowledge transfer (29%). Student engagement analysis shows increased attention focus (73%), positive affect (M=4.2 vs 3.1), and active participation (2.3× higher). Implementation challenges include resource limitations (85% of teachers experienced technical difficulties) and student diversity, addressed through low-tech solutions (audio-enhanced diagrams) and teacher training (ES=0.89). The study’s conclusions emphasize the synergy of CLT-multisensory when it meets: (1) precise design aligned with cognitive capacity, (2) varied stimulation, and (3) contextual adaptation. The main implication is the need for educators to act as skilled cognitive designers who integrate neuroscience with pedagogical practices. Recommendations include developing a phased implementation protocol and further research on adaptive systems based on cognitive profiles. Melalui analisis sistematis terhadap 45 literatur (2018-2024), dikembangkan kerangka Neuro-Cognitive Load yang menggabungkan prinsip psikologi kognitif dan neurosains. Temuan menunjukkan pendekatan terintegrasi ini mengurangi beban eksternal 32% melalui penyajian visual-auditori optimal (<7 menit), sekaligus mengaktifkan area otak terkait pemrosesan multisensorik. Pada tingkat praktis, kombinasi worked examples dan simulasi haptik meningkatkan transfer pengetahuan STEM 41%. Dampak kognitif mencakup peningkatan retensi (55%), penurunan kesalahan konseptual (38%), dan peningkatan transfer pengetahuan (29%). Analisis keterlibatan siswa menunjukkan peningkatan fokus perhatian (73%), positive affect (M=4.2 vs 3.1), dan partisipasi aktif (2.3× lebih tinggi). Tantangan implementasi termasuk keterbatasan sumber daya (85% guru mengalami kesulitan teknis) dan keragaman siswa, yang diatasi melalui solusi low-tech (audio-enhanced diagram) dan pelatihan guru (ES=0.89). Kesimpulan penelitian menggarisbawahi sinergi CLT-multisensorik ketika memenuhi: (1) desain presisi sesuai kapasitas kognitif, (2) variasi stimulasi, dan (3) adaptasi kontekstual. Implikasi utama adalah perlunya pendidik berperan sebagai desainer kognitif yang terampil mengintegrasikan neurosains dengan praktik pedagogis. Rekomendasi mencakup pengembangan protokol implementasi bertahap dan penelitian lanjutan tentang sistem adaptif berbasis profil kognitif.

Abstract

This study focuses on the analysis of the use of translation techniques by the translator in the translated novel "Puri Pictordu" by the translator Reinitha Amalia Lesmana in 2021 from the French novel "Le Château de Pictordu (1873) by George Sand. This study have purpose for describe the transposition technique in translation that used in the novel and describe the effects on the translation results. Descriptive qualitative is the research method that used in this study to analyze and explain the discovery of the types of transposition translation techniques in this translated novel and explain them in sentences regarding their acceptability. The results of the study show that 147 data found in this translated novel. There are 135 acceptable translation data and 12 unacceptable translation data as the translator translated them. Transposition translation focuses on structural shifts that are adjusted to the grammar of the target language. The focus of the transposition translation used by the translator makes some of the translation results still feel like translated sentences.

Abstract

Kemampuan menyimak merupakan keterampilan dasar dalam pembelajaran bahasa asing, termasuk bahasa Prancis. Namun, mahasiswa tingkat pemula (A1) sering menghadapi kesulitan dalam memahami percakapan bahasa Prancis akibat perbedaan fonetik antara tulisan dan pengucapan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas teknik shadowing berbantuan web PodcastFrancaisFacile dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak mahasiswa tingkat A1. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest, yang melibatkan 20 mahasiswa tingkat A1 sebagai partisipan. Data diperoleh melalui tes menyimak (pre-test dan post-test) serta angket persepsi mahasiswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 64,5 pada pretest menjadi 95,0 pada posttest, dengan selisih sebesar 30,5 poin. Standar deviasi tetap sama, yaitu 1,60, yang menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan nilai terjadi secara merata di antara seluruh peserta. Uji paired sample t-test menghasilkan nilai t-hitung sebesar -7,255 dengan derajat kebebasan (df) 19, dan nilai p < 0,001. Karena p-value lebih kecil dari 0,05, maka Ho ditolak, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik antara nilai pretest dan posttest. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik shadowing berbantuan PodcastFrancaisFacile efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak mahasiswa tingkat A1. Selain itu, hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa 95% mahasiswa sangat setuju bahwa teknik shadowing membantu dalam memahami kosakata dan tata bahasa, memperbaiki pelafalan, serta meningkatkan akurasi dan kecepatan pemahaman. Sebanyak 90–95% mahasiswa juga menilai media pembelajaran ini menarik, relevan, dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar mereka secara keseluruhan.
