Abstract

Indonesia has a rich culture that can be used as a source of inspiration in the creation of fashion designs, one of which is the Jathil dance in the Reog Ponorogo art form. The Jathil dance is unique because it represents a blend of masculinity and femininity. This is the primary foundation in the design of androgynous fashion, which harmoniously combines masculine and feminine elements. The purpose of this creation is to describe the process of creating androgynous-style fashion and to describe the presentation of androgynous-style fashion creation. The method used is practice-led research, which is a practice-based research approach through the stages of exploration, design, realisation, and presentation of the work. The creation process began with the development of alternative design sketches and alternative colour combinations. The results of this creation are three selected designs: one men's garment and two women's garments. The first work is a three-piece men's garment consisting of a top, bottom, and layered pants. The second work is a three-piece women's garment consisting of a tank top with a jathil silhouette appliqué and woven text, and a long skirt bottom. The third piece is a four-piece women's outfit consisting of a top, skirt, skirt layer, and ruffled sleeves. The presentation of this androgynous-style clothing creation is divided into three parts: pre-event, on-event, and post-event.

Abstract

This research is a study on the creation of casual ready-to-wear clothing that interprets the characters of Klono Sewandono and Bujang Ganong in the art of Reog Ponorogo. Klono Sewandono depicts a brave, authoritative, and wise king. Bujang Ganong depicts an energetic, agile, and unyielding prime minister. The research method used in this study is Practice-led Research, which includes the pre-design, design, implementation, and presentation stages. The purpose of this research is to describe the creative process of creation, the final results of the creation process, and the presentation of the creation of casual ready-to-wear clothing inspired by Klono Sewandono and Bujang Ganong. The benefits of this research are as a form of applying knowledge in the creation of casual ready-to-wear clothing inspired by Klono Sewandono and Bujang Ganong in the art of Reog Ponorogo, as well as an effort to preserve local culture, particularly in the Ponorogo region. The final products of this research comprise two women's garments and one men's garment, with visual inspiration drawn from the colours, silhouettes, and costume elements of each character. The garments created were exhibited at the Grand Jury event, a fashion exhibition and show.

Abstract

This creative research aims to produce deluxe ready-to-wear fashion by elevating local culture into modern fashion designs that have aesthetic and exclusive value. The main focus of the creation is to enrich the variety of Indonesian culture-based fashion designs through a practice-led research approach. The traditional house of the Tengger Tribe was chosen as the main source of ideas because of its unique architectural form and the philosophical values contained therein, which are still rarely explored in the fashion world. The creation process consists of four stages, namely: exploration of the source of ideas, design, realization of the work, and presentation of the work. In the exploration stage, visual studies and literature studies were conducted regarding the visual characteristics and philosophy of the traditional house of the Tengger Tribe. Next, these ideas were translated into fashion designs with an artistic and functional approach. The resulting works are three ready-to-wear deluxe characters, consisting of two women's outfits and one men's outfit. The techniques used in the realization process include semi-couture and fabric manipulation with stylized embroidery applications that represent the architectural elements of the traditional Tengger house. The results of the work were presented in a theatrical fashion show with the theme "BHUMIBRAMA" held in the courtyard of the Rectorate of Surabaya State University. This performance showcases the synergy between fashion, local culture, and artistic expression, which not only presents visual aesthetics but also builds a cultural narrative about the cultural heritage of the Tengger Tribe through the medium of fashion.

Abstract

The creation of deluxe ready to wear ashion inspired by the traditional houses of the Osing tribe with the application of textile rekalatar techniques is driven by promising market potential and the desire to preserve and introduce Osing culture through fashion works. The objectives of creating this work are (1) to describe the concept of deluxe ready to wear fashion design with the idea of ​​the traditional houses of the Osing tribe using textile rekalatar techniques; (2) to describe the process of making clothes through the Practice-led Research method of creating works; (3) to describe the finished clothes; and (4) to publish the results of the fashion works in the dissemination of fashion shows. The method used in the creation of this work is Practice-led Research by Hendriyana (2021). This method supports the process of creating works through integrated practices in four stages, namely pre-design, design, embodiment, and presentation. The results of this creation are three deluxe ready to wear fashion works. The first work is a women's clothing set consisting of an outer and a mini wrap skirt with embroidery and printing applications enriched with decorative stitching. The second work displays women's clothing in the form of a dress decorated with printed motifs with additional decorative stitching accents, combined harmoniously with short pants. The third piece, a men's piece, combines an embroidered jacket and printed trousers with decorative stitching. This creation was presented at the 35th Annual "JAGAD OSING" Fashion Show in 2024 and received the Best of the Best award.

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui: 1) tingkat kreativitas mendesain kebaya di kelas kontrol tanpa menggunakan sumber belajar trend forecasting 2023/2024, 2) tingkat kreativitas mendesain kebaya di kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan sumber belajar trend forecasting 2023/2024, 3) pengaruh penggunaan sumber belajar trend forecasting 2023/2024 terhadap tingkat kreativitas mendesain kebaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Posttest Only Control Design dengan sampel sebanyak 63 siswa. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar penilaian kreativitas mendesain kebaya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa penilaian kreativitas dengan analisis data uji beda menggunakan uji Mann Whitney U. Hasil penelitian menyatakan: 1) Tingkat kreativitas mendesain kebaya di kelas kontrol menunjukkan 0 siswa (0%) berada pada tingkat sangat kreatif, 1 siswa (3,13%) berada pada tingkat kreatif, 3 siswa (9,37%) berada pada tingkat cukup kreatif, 22 siswa (68,75%) berada pada tingkat kurang kreatif dan 6 siswa (18,75%) berada pada tingkat tidak kreatif., 2) Tingkat kreativitas mendesain kebaya di kelas eksperimen menunjukkan 1 siswa (3,23%) berada pada tingkat sangat kreatif, 9 siswa (29,03%) berada pada tingkat kreatif, 19 siswa (61,29%) berada pada tingkat cukup kreatif, 2 siswa (6,45%) berada pada tingkat kurang kreatif dan 0 siswa (0%) berada pada tingkat tidak kreatif, 3) terdapat pengaruh trend forecasting 2023/2024 terhadap kreativitas mendesain kebaya dengan ditunjukkannya nilai Asymp.Sig 0,000<0,05

Abstract

The consumptive style of fast fashion products with a short lifespan has a negative impact on environmental pollution due to the large amount of fashion waste. The choice of fast fashion products is driven by consumers desire to appear stylish and constantly seek to stand out.This research is a creation of convertible clothes with alternative style, wich has the following objectives, 1) To describe the idea and concept of creating convertible ready to wear deluxe with the source of the idea traditional house of Osing Tribes, 2) To describe the process of creating fashion, 3) To discribe the final outcomes fashion, and 4) describing the presentation of the fashion. This research uses a project led research creation method through 4 stages among exploration or pre design, design of work, the realization of work, and the desimination of work. The results of this creation are convertible ready to wear deluxe with the source idea traditional house of Osing Tribe. The collection which were presented at two event, one at the grand jury and two at the 35th annual fashion show "JAGAD OSING" 2024 which is received the best of the best appreciation.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: 1. to evaluate the influence of project-based learning (PJBL) based on portfolio assessments on critical thinking skills in nail art learning and 2. Evaluate the influence of the project-based learning model (PJBL) based on portfolio analysis on the creative of students in the study of nail art. The procedure is complete. The sample of this study was 61 students at SMKN 1 Lingsar who were divided into experimental groups and control groups using cluster random sampling techniques. The data was collected through a multi-choice test for Critical Thinking skills and a rubric of analysis for creativity. The results showed that the PjBL model, based on portfolio evaluation, has a significant impact on students' critical thinking skills, with significance score of 0.024 and an N gain of 0.81 (high category). Moreover, this model also has a significant impact on student creativity, with a value score of 0.000 and an N gain of 0.85 (high category). Therefore, applying PjBL based portfolio analysis has been shown to be effective in improving students' critical thinking and creativity skills in learning nail art.

Abstract

Cheongsam Dress adalah busana khas cina yang ditampilkan dengan kerah mandarin berdiri tinggi, dengan penutup kuk asimetris dalam siluet yang pas cheongsam ditampilkan dengan kerah mandarin berdiri tinggi, dengan penutup kuk asimetris dalam siluet yang pas. Pada mulanya cheongsam biasanya dipakai oleh kaum wanita China dalam berbagai acara formal, contohnya pesta pernikahan, acara kenegaraan atau kontes kecantikan. Seiring berjlannya waktu cheongsam digunakan menjadi modifikasi seragam pramugari, hotel dan restoran ala China (Agmasari, 2016). Menurut Rinartati (2004) pola dengan teknik draping merupakan teknik pembuatan pola yang digunakan untuk mewujudkan suatu busana yang dikerjakan secara langsung di badan boneka (3 dimensi). Pendapat lainjuga mengatakan pembuatan pola dengan teknik draping merupakan cara membuat pola dengan memilir-milirkan bahan atau kertas baik pada manekin ataupun langsung di badan seseorang, Widjiningsih (2006).

Abstract

Busana dapat diartikan sebagai kebutuhan manusia yang menjadi bagian dari kebutuhan primer, busana memiliki fungsi yaitu sebagai pelindung tubuh dari kotoran, panas matahari dan udara dingin. Busana pesta asimetris dapat diartikan sebagai segala sesuatu yang dipakai pada kesempatan tertentu, dan terdapat unsur bagian kiri dan kanan tidak sama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pembuatan gaun pesta asimetris dengan bahan satin dan lace. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode desktiptif, yaitu menjelaskan hasil penelitian produk fashion yang menjabarkan hasil pembuatan busana pesta dengan penggunaan pola dasar yang dimodifikasi dengan pecah pola yang sesuai secara runtut. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dengan adanya model busana pesta asimetris ini dapat menjadi centre of interest dari busana itu sendiri dan dapat menjadi daya tarik sekaligus menambah harga jual. Kesan mewah dan elegan tercipta setelah diterapkannya hiasan manik-manik dan diamond pada busana ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yaitu proses pembuatan jumputan pada kain tricot poliester yaitu 20s, 24s dan 30s dengan zat warna dispersi. Zat warna dispersi yang merupakan zat warna polyester. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil jadi jumputan pada kain tricot poliester 20s, 24s dan 30s dengan zat warna dispersi. Variabel bebas: kain tricot poliester 20s, 24s dan 30s. Variabel terikat: hasil jadi jumputan kain tricot poliester ditinjau dari aspek daya serap, ketajaman warna kain tricot poliester, hasil jadi motif jumputan dan tingkat kesukaan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah anava tunggal. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil pada jumputan pada kain tricot poliester 20s, 24s dan 30s dengan zat warna dispersi pada aspek daya serap warna, ketajaman warna hasil jadi motif. Berdasarkan taraf siknifikan 0.05 pada aspek daya serap warna kain tricot poliester Ha signifikan dengan taraf 0.01 (P < 0.05). Pada aspek ketajaman warna kain tricot poliester Ha signifikan dengan taraf 0.00 (P < 0.05). Pada aspek daya serap dan ketajaman warna, tricot poliester 20s paling tinggi, hal ini dipengaruhi oleh karateristik tricot poliester 20s lebih tebal dan banyak jumlah serat poliesternya. Pada aspek hasil jadi motif jumputan, ketiga kain tricot tersebut memiliki hasil jadi yang sama, dipengaruhi oleh proses pembuatan jumputan setelah pencelupan, pada saat pembilasan warna meresap kembali pada motif jumputan. Sedangkan pada aspek tingkat kesukaan persentase tertinggi adalah tricot poliester 30s,dipengaruhi oleh karateristik tricot poliester 30s lebih tipis dan halus bahannya. Kata kunci: jumputan, tricot poliester, zat warna dispersi.
