Abstract

The potential Fish Auction Place in the fish port of Muara Kintap is expected to become the center of economic growth and development of fisheries. The existence of the facility is an input to the process of the function implementation in Fish Auction Place which condition is related to its availability and number in the fish port. The facilities which are managed optimally will produce the optimum output anyway. This study aimed to identify the presence of TPI in the central area of the Muara Kintap in Kecamatan Tanah Laut which has the potential to be developed. This study uses descriptive qualitative research and literature survey.  Based on the survey results, it was revealed that the condition of Fish Auction Place (TPI) in the fish port of Muara Kintap in Kecamatan Tanah Laut did not implement a pure  auction, it was due to the basic facilities, unwell maintained functional and supporting tools, and also due to the collaboration of some merchants in controlling prices. Several attempts to optimize Fish Auction Place (TPI) including the addition of supporting facilities, such as clean water, cool boxes, scales and carts/baskets as well as banks as partners in financial institutions to access capitals for a business group of fishermen. The comfortable condition of loading and unloading activities, as well as sanitation and hygiene, really needs to be fulfilled, including the revitalization of the fish fleet. Ideally, in every region of fishery activities in a fishermen concentration area, a fish port should be built, or at least fish hauling with clean Fish Auction Unit, to meet the requirements of the integrated quality program so that the selling prices of fish caught by fishermen con be rewarded appropriately. SWOT analysis results  indicated that strategy chosen was the S - O (Strengths – Opportunities) which utilized all power of Muara Kintap Fish Port to take advantage of development opportunities as much as possible.

Abstract

One of PT. Adaro Indonesia environment management responsibilities is the water management aspect. The management of ground water, that potentially becomes fresh water still combined with the run off water management. It means that ground water is still treated as waste water that needs to be re-managed. This research is intended to know the feasibility ground water quality of Fe, Mn, and pH parameter as fresh water refers to Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan No. 416 tahun 1990 Tentang Syarat-Syarat dan Pengawasan Kualitas Air  (an Indonesia Ministry of Health rules related to water quality requirements and water quality monitoring). The result of this ground water research shows that the water pH in all fifteen research locations has not met the fresh water quality standard as standartstated (water pH below 6.5 – 9). Only five research locations that Fe parameter meetthe quality standart, four ground water locations and one from WTP T300 location. High Fe concentration is caused by Fe2+ or Fe3+ ions that does not get oxygen from the atmosphere and it is also caused by lithology or rock formation that is dominated by iron mineral which lead to need of further management such as aeration.  Manganese parameter in all research locations is still met the quality standards as stated in Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan No. 416 tahun 1990 Tentang Syarat-Syarat dan Pengawasan Kualitas Air, which means it is still under 0.5 mg/L quality standards. It can be generally concluded that the Fe parameter in research locations is still has not met fresh water quality standards in such a way that can influence the pH values. For the Mn parameter, all research locations are still met the fresh water quality standards.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze Forest Management by the Indigenous People of Dayak Uren Village. This research was conducted at Uren Village, Halong District, Balangan Regency. The research location was selected using a purposive method. The object of research is the Dayak Uren indigenous people, Halong District, Balangan Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach. The results of this research indicate that community institutions in managing the Uren Village forest consist of two institutions, namely customary institutions and forest village management institutions. In managing the forest, the Dayak indigenous people of Uren Village have customary law which is divided into customary law in agriculture or plantations, hunting, utilizing plants, utilizing water sources, and managing forests as environmental services. According to customary law, the forest area of Uren Village is divided into three areas, namely the sacred forest area, the customary forest area, and the cultivation area. In addition, the Uren Dayak Indigenous People still believe in the ‘pamali’ tradition or taboos related to forest use. The mechanism for processing forest land for food purposes is to use a land clearing system that still uses the traditional method, namely logging, slashing, and burning using simple tools. The Uren Dayak Indigenous People also hold rituals related to religious tradition as a form of respect for the God, ancestors, and the goddess of rice. Forest management is an economic and ecological added value for the Dayak indigenous people of Uren Village. The availability of land to be used can make Uren Village have food security.

Abstract

As a province rich in natural resources, especially mining products, South Kalimantan (South Kalimantan) is also not free from problems in the environmental sector. The massive mining activity in the province of South Kalimantan has caused environmental damage and loss of land cover in South Kalimantan. This happened because 41 percent of the Meratus forest and other forests in South Kalimantan were already burdened with mining permits. Efforts to balance the use of natural resources and the environment are through spatial planning based on the achievement of environmental function sustainability. The purpose of this study is to analyze the suitability of the RTRW, analyze the factors that influence the suitability of the RTRW, and analyze how big the positive and negative impacts of the suitability of the RTRW are. This research was conducted by making a land use map that aims to see how the situation is in the field and compare it with a planning map using a Geographic Information System. The results of the comparison of the planning map and the conditions in the field show the suitability of land use. The results obtained using Tapin's RTRWK in IUP MINERBA are 15.22%, which means that the implementation of space utilization is not appropriate. The influencing factors are the development of settlements which are increasing every year very rapidly due to the increasing population. The positive impact is that the companies have helped to repair village roads that are used by the community to reduce the number of unemployed, increase regional income levels, and improve the economic welfare of the surrounding community. The negative impact is environmental damage and social conflict in the community, increasing the vulnerability to traffic accidents due to increased road users.

Abstract

The feces waste treatment installation (IPLT) pond capacity of Banjarbaru is 20 M3/ day, while the maximum amount per month in 2022 is only 11 M3 of household fecal waste that goes into IPLT. This shows that the excrement that enters the IPLT is below the IPLT capacity of Banjarbaru because currently, the sludge service has yet to be scheduled and is still using the on-call system. Meanwhile, Banjarbaru Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2021 regarding scheduled sludge services in Banjarbaru already exists. This study aims to identify and evaluate the existing conditions of the sludge service in Banjarbaru and develop recommendations for improving the sludge service in Banjarbaru. The method used in this research is a descriptive method using a questionnaire and conducting interviews with people who have used sludge services in 2022. Calculation of the results of the questionnaire uses a Likert scale, validity, and reliability tests. The results of the identification through the questionnaire revealed that the IPLT had been actively carried out with the on-call system; if implementing the scheduled feces sludge service (LLTT), several processes had to be improved, and the results of the evaluation stated that the community did not agree with the fees charged for the LLTT. Recommendations for sludge services are increasing the number of fleets, promoting sludge services, and improving the administration system.
