Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan model pem­belajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan permainan maju mundur untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat di Kelas VII SMPN 4 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui observasi, tes tertulis, wawancara dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantuan permainan maju mundur yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat dengan mengikuti fase-fase yaitu: 1) menyampaikan tujuan dan memotivasi siswa, 2) penyajian kelas, 3) transisi ke tim, 4) tim studi dan monitoring, 5) evaluasi, dan 6) penghargaan kelompok. Pada fase 1 peneliti menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran dan manfaat pembelajaran untuk memotivasi siswa; pada fase 2 peneliti menyajikan materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat melalui pendemonstrasian permaianan maju mundur; pada fase 3 peneliti membagi siswa ke dalam beberapa kelompok terdiri 5 s.d 6 siswa; pada fase 4 peneliti memberikan soal-soal kepada siswa dalam bentuk LKS dan peneliti memberikan bimbingan seperlunya; pada fase 5 siswa diberikan tes individu tanpa menggunakan permainan maju mundur; pada fase 6 peneliti memberikan peghargaan kepada setiap kelompok. Kata Kunci: kooperatif tipe STAD, permainan maju mundur, hasil belajar, penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat. Abstrack: This research aim to obtain description about applying cooperative learning of STAD with the assist of games back and forth to improve student study result on addition and substraction of integers in class VII SMPN 4 Palu. This research was a classroom action research which refers to the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart’s design, that is plan, action, observation, and reflection. This study consists of two cycles. Data collection techniques gained through observation, written test, interview and field notes. The results of this research indicating that through applying of Cooperative Learning of STAD can improve students study of addition and subtraction of integers with the steps 1) convey the learning purpose and motivating, 2) the presentation of the class, 3) transition to the team, 4) the study team and monitoring, 5) evaluation, and 6) giving appreciation. At the 1th phase, researcher convey the learning purpose and benefit to motivate the student; at the 2nd phase, researcher presented addition and subtraction of integers through the demonstration of back and forth games usage; at the 3rd phase, researcher divided the students into groups consist of 5 to 6 student; at the 4th phase, researcher gave task in worksheet to the students and researcher guided them to do that; at the 5th phase, the students are given individual tests without using a back and forth game, and at the 6th phase, researcher gave appreciation to each group. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi tentang penerapan strategi Polya yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi soal cerita persegi panjang di kelas VII SMP Negeri 19 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah peneliti­an tindakan kelas (PTK) dan desain penelitian yang mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yakni perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan tes. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan dalam dua kali pertemuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan strategi Polya yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi soal cerita persegi panjang di kelas VII SMP Negeri 19 Palu, dengan mengikuti langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: (1) memahami masalah, (2) merencanakan cara penyelesaian, (3) melaksanakan rencana pemecahan masalah, dan (4) melihat kembali solusi lengkap. Kata Kunci: strategi Polya, hasil belajar, soal cerita dan persegi panjang. Abstract: The purpose of this research is to obtain a description about the application of Polya strategies that can improve student learning outcomes in a rectangular material about the word problem in class VII SMP Negeri 19 Palu. This was a classroom action research. design refers to the design of the research Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, that is planning, action and observation, and reflection. Types of data used is qualitative data and quantitative data with data collection techniques are observation, interviews, field notes, and test. This research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle was conducted in two sessions. Based on the results of this research indicate that the application of Polya strategies that can improve student learning outcomes in a rectangular material about the word problem in class VII SMP 19 Palu, by following the steps as follows: (1) understand the problem, (2) the plan of settlement, (3) implement plans of problem solving, and (4) look back at the complete solution. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi bilangan berpangkat di kelas X MIA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Banawa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Banawa sejumlah 34 orang yang terdiri atas sembilan laki-laki dan 25 perempuan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Desain penelitian mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari empat komponen, yaitu (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang setiap siklus terdiri atas dua kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi bilangan berpangkat di kelas X MIA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Banawa melalui fase-fase yaitu: (1) pemberian orientasi, (2) think, (3) pair , (4) share, dan (5) penghargaan. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa siswa dapat menyelesaikan soal yang berkaitan dengan materi bilangan berpangkat. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Share, Hasil Belajar, Bilangan Berpangkat. Abstract: The aim of this research was to describe the applying Cooperative Learning of Think Pair Share (TPS) that could improve students’ learning results in the exponential number results Class X MIA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Banawa. The subjects of this research are the students of X MIA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Banawa that consist of 34 students This is a classroom action research. The research design refers to the model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart consist of four components, that are (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. This study was conducted in two cycles each cycle consisted of two meetings. The result of this research showed that Cooperative Learning of Think Pair Share that could improve students’ learning results in the exponential numbers in the Class X MIA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Banawa through phases: (1) provide orientation, (2) think, (3) pair, (4) share, and (5) awards. In addition, the result of this research also showed that students was able to solve the problem related to the exponential numbers. Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the types of errors and the contributing factors in solving final semester mathematics exam questions among Grade VIII junior high school (JHS) students. This is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. Data on errors were collected from the Final Semester Examination (FSE) results and through in-depth interviews with 28 Grade VIII JHS students in Palu City during the 2022/2023 academic year. Based on the analysis of five tested topics, number patterns, Cartesian coordinates, relations and functions, linear equations, and systems of linear equations in two variables, it was found that the most frequent errors were conceptual errors, particularly in the topics of Cartesian coordinates and linear equations. The main factors contributing to these errors include students’ inability to determine and apply appropriate formulas, as well as limited competency in performing calculation operations.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan bagi anak-anak dan pengelola di Komunitas Sikolapomore terkait cara belajar calistung dengan permainan dan memanfaatkan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar. Misalnya abjad card, kincir bilangan serta variasi sumber belajar dari lingkungan melalui ecoprint dan penanaman mangrove. Komunitas Sikolapomore adalah sekolah bermain untuk semua kalangan termasuk anak tidak sekolah (ATS) di Kota Palu. Pada awal berdirinya jumlah ATS di Sikolapomore berkisar 20 anak, Akan tetapi seiring berjalannya waktu siswa di sikolapomore berkurang jumlahnya dengan jumlah siswa yang tersisa 10 anak. Hal ini disebabkan siswa merasa bosan dengan metode pembelajaran yang kurang menarik dan kurang inovatif. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, diperlukan upaya untuk membangkitkan kembali keinginan ATS untuk belajar calistung melalui pelatihan. Metode yang digunakan pada pelatihan ini adalah demonstrasi interaktif dan pemberian contoh kontekstual dalam belajar calistung. Peserta kegiatan ini sebanyak 20 peserta. Berdasarkan penilaian observer diketahui pelaksanaan kegiatan ini pada aspek efektivitas metode mendapat skor 94, keterlibatan peserta didik mendapat skor 96, unjuk kerja peserta skor mendapat skor 92 dan potensi keberlanjutan program skor mendapat skor 92. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media seperti kartu abjad dan kincir bilangan berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan berhitung peserta dengan cara yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Peserta menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi dalam mempelajari konsep-konsep dasar calistung. Variasi sumber belajar, seperti eco print dan penanaman mangrove, memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan bermakna.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a problem solving profile using Heron's theorem in determining the area of a triangle. This research is a qualitative research with the subject of three students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 3 Palu, each one student with high, medium and low math ability. Subject selection for the classification of students' abilities using the standard deviation. Data were collected by observation, student answers and interviews. The problem solving used in this study uses the Polya problem solving step. The results of this study indicate that: (1) students with high, medium and low math abilities understand the problem by identifying information and command sentences on the task to determine what is known and asked. (2) students with high math abilities and making problem-solving plans use ???? = √????(???? − ????)(???? − ????)(???? − ????), while students with low math skills use ????=(a+b+c)/2. (3) high-ability students carry out the problem-solving plan according to the plan correctly, capable students are carrying out according to the plan but are wrong in solving it and low-skill students are wrong in carrying out the plan because the problem-solving plan made is not right. (4) high-ability students and are reviewing the results of their work from the beginning but moderately capable students are not aware of any mistakes, and low- skilled students do not re-examine the results of their work.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the problem-solving profile of junior high school students as they solve PISA problems with a quantity content. The type of this Research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. There were two students in this research as subject, both having high and medium ability levels. Data were collected by test and interview methods. Problem solving in this research refers to Polya's problem solving steps. The results of the research show: (1) At the step of understanding the problem, students with high and medium ability levels can identify things that are known and asked at the given problem; (2) At the step of devising a problem-solving plan, students with high and medium ability levels can explain the problem-solving plan and relate it to what is known and asked about the problem so that it leads to problem solving; (3) At the step of carrying out  the problem-solving plan, students with high and medium ability levels can write down the steps of completion based on the solution plan that has been made and obtain the final result; (4) At the step of looking back  the process and results of problem solving, students with high and medium ability levels can adjust the answers obtained with the questions asked in the problem and can make conclusions at the end of solving the problem.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of the types of student errors in solving addition and subtraction of integers in class VII C of SMP Negeri 6 Palu. This type of research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were three students of class VII C who had high, medium and low levels of mathematical ability. The results of this study indicate that subjects with high mathematical abilities make conceptual errors with an error indicator, namely not knowing the formula used. Subjects with mathematical abilities are making conceptual errors with an error indicator, namely not knowing the formula used. Technical errors with error indicators, namely making mistakes in arithmetic operations. Subjects with low mathematical abilities made conceptual errors with error indicators, namely not being able to apply the formula. Technical errors with error indicators, namely making mistakes in arithmetic operation, then the subject made a mistake in moving the numbers or arithmetic operations from one step to the next.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of students' mathematical representation in solving problems of two-variable linear equation systems in grade IX students at SMP Negeri 1 Sigi based on gender differences. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were 2 students, including male and female students with moderate mathematical abilities. The results of this study indicate that (1) In the visual representation indicator, male students can already represent problems in the form of tables, but have not been able to make solution graphs, while female students cannot represent the problems given in the form of pictures/graphs to solve problems. (2) In the verbal representation indicator, male students have errors in writing several words, while female students have deficiencies in making efficient sentences, but can explore the answers further during the interview. (3) In the symbol representation indicator, male students can represent the given problem into a mathematical expression to find the right solution, while female students cannot solve the problem completely.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain a description of the implementation of problem based learning model to improve student learning outcomes in grade X MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 5 Palu on composition of function. This type of research was Classroom Action Research. The research design refers to the model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. This research was located at SMA Negeri 5 Palu. The subjects of this study were 30 students of grade X MIPA 3. The results of the research show that the implementation of problem-based learning modelcan improve student learning outcomes, with the following stages: 1) basic concepts;. 2) defining the problem; 3) self-study; 4) study groups; 5) assessment; The increase of students learning outcomes based on the results final test: Action in cycle I is 73.33% and cycle II is 83.33%. The result of observation of teacher activity in cycle I is in the category of sufficient. In cycle II, the total score on the result of the observation of teacher and student activity in cycle II is in good category. The resultindicates that the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve students learning outcomes on composition of function in grade X of MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 5 Palu.
