Abstract

Penentuan lokasi budidaya rumput laut menggunakan aplikasi sistem informasi geografis di wilayah pesisir Kecamatan Suppa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berkisar sepuluh bulan pada tahun 2020. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan kesesuain lahan pada budidaya rumput laut dengan menggunakan aplikasi ‘Sistem Informasi Geografis’. Penelitian ini memiliki karakteristik lahan sebagai penyusun kualitas lahan untuk budidaya rumput laut yaitu: tinggi gelombang, kecepatan arus, pasang surut, kedalaman, kekeruhan, suhu, salinitas, pH, nitrat dan fosfat. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan sebagai bahan informasi dalam usaha perbaikan kualitas dan rencana pengelolaan ekosistem pesisir secara terpadu dan berkelanjutan terhadap pengambil kebijakan dalam hal ini pemerintah setempat serta memberikan gambaran tentang pentingnya budidaya rumput laut di wilayah pesisir. Adapun hasil analisis data spasial lokasi kesesuaian lahan budidaya rumput laut yang memiliki golongan sesuai ±996,63Hektar dan tidak sesuai ±361,25 Hektar oleh sebab itu sangat baik dilakukan budidaya rumput laut dengan luas wilayah sangat tinggi memungkinkan dilakukan budidaya rumput laut berbasis lingkungan. Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of carbohydrates and feeding frequency on feed convertion ratio and survival of shrimp vanamei juvenile. Research using completely randomized design by factorial patern with two factors and three replications. Treatments were factor A (carbohydrate levels, namely 18, 32, 40 and 50%), and factor B (frequency of feeding 2, 4 and 6 times per day). Shrimp vanamei which was used have an average weight of 0.3 g per individual. Feed dose was 10% of the body weight of shrimp with the feeding frequency adapted to the treatment. The results showed that the factor levels of carbohydrate feeding, feeding frequency and the combination of both give a signifi cant effect on feed convertion ratio of shrimp vanamei juvenile with the best combination of 50% carbohydrate level and feeding frequency 6 times per day. Treatment levels of carbohydrates, feeding frequency and combination of both give no signifi cant effect on survival of shrimp vanamei juvenile.

Abstract

The duck livestock business is one of the business branches in the livestock sector which is now widely cultivated by the community. Especially in South Sulawesi, duck farming has increased over the last 5 years. This happened because the duck culinary business increased along with the increasing demand and purchasing power of the people. In the aspect of duck farming, the feed factor is one of the problems faced by farmers because the proportion of financing can reach 60-80%. To overcome this, one solution that can be done is to utilize locally available feed ingredients sustainably. Gosse (Ceratophyllum sp) is one type of aquatic plant which if its production is excessive in ponds, can harm the growth of milkfish and shrimp. Its potential is so great, that it is considered very worthy of research. This study aims to determine the potential of Gosse as feed for ducks based on the production of fresh material, dry matter, and carrying capacity based on Geographic Information System (GIS) data. The research method applied includes 4 stages, namely Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis, analysis of fresh and dry matter production, nutritional quality analysis, and production conversion to calculate carrying capacity. The results showed that the production of fresh matter reached 74.7 tons/ha/year and the production of the dry matter reached 4,482 tons/ha/year. The production of gosse in Tellumpanua Village in total reached 1,157.09 tons/year in a fresh state and 70.3674 tons//year in a dry state. Based on these data, the carrying capacity of gosse at 30%, 50%, and 70% use respectively is 270, 162, and 115 head/ha/year or 4239, 2543, and 1805 head/year.

Abstract

In intensive fish farming, artificial feed contributes greatly to the production cost structure of around 40-89%. Feed is an important input component because besides being able to determine aquaculture technical coefficients such as growth (SGR), survival (survival rate or SR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), biomass, and time of cultivation to analyze the proximate content in the flesh of the blackfish in Lake Sidenreng. The research was carried out in January-February 2023, and the scavenger fish to be studied were taken from Lake Sidenreng, for proximate analysis they were analyzed at the Integrated Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Hasanuddin University. The type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Sampling used a purposive sampling method, namely, purposive sampling by the required sample requirements. The results of testing the proximate content of sap fish were analyzed descriptively to describe its proximate composition with the feasibility of sap fish as a food ingredient or raw material for making feed. Identification of the proximate test broomstick fish meat in Lake Sidenreng, proximate analysis was performed (moisture content, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, BETN, and ash), resulting in proximate analysis results for broom fish meat (P. pardalis), having protein content crude (91.11% l), crude mother (0.74%), crude fiber (0.39%), BETN (1.17%), ash (6.59%), water (16.87%). Broomstick fish contains a complete nutritional composition such as protein, fat, crude fiber, BETN, and water, so it can be recommended as a source of nutritious food and used as a raw material for fish and livestock feed.

Abstract

Thalassiosira sp. adalah salah satu jenis plankton mikroalga yang biasanya digunakan sebagai pakan alami bagi larva udang Salinitas adalah salah satu faktor yang sangat penting dalam budidaya diatom laut, karena dapat berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan diatom. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh salinitas yang berbeda terhadap dinamika populasi dan kualitas air Thalassiosira sp. dan menentukan salinitas yang terbaik terhadap dinamika populasi dan kualitas air Thalassiosira sp. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 pengulangan. Adapun perlakuan A yaitu salinitas 20 ppt, perlakuan B yaitu salinitas 25 ppt, perlakuan C yaitu salinitas 30 ppt dan perlakuan D yaitu salinitas 35 ppt. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan menggunakan salinitas yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap dinamika populasi dan kualitas air Thalassiosira sp. Salinitas terbaik untuk tingkat kepadatan Thalassiosira sp. terdapat pada perlakuan C dengan salinitas 30 ppt yaitu 47.5 x 104 sel/ml yang tertinggi dan perlakuan dengan salinitas terendah berada pada perlakuan D dengan salinitas 35 ppt yaitu 37.4 x 104 sel/ml. Hasil pengukuran kualitas air dengan perlakuan yang menggunakan salinitas yang berbeda (20 ppt, 25 ppt, 30 ppt, dan 35 ppt) menunjukkan nilai kualitas air (suhu, pH, dan intensitas cahaya) masih dalam batas toleransi atau kelanyakan hidup (Baik) Thalassiosira sp.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan penggunaan jenis probiotik dan tanpa penggunaan probiotik terhadap kelangsungan hidup ikan nila, Mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan penggunaan jenis probiotik dan tanpa penggunaan probiotik terhadap pertumbuhan ikan nila, Mengetahui perbedaan efesiensi pemanfaatan pakan berdasarkan penggunaan probiotik yang berbeda dan tanpa menggunakan probiotik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan percobaan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 9 satuan percobaan. Perhitungan pengukuran sample hewan uji sebanyak 4 kali selama 40 hari. Data akan dianalisis menggunakan analisis iragam (ANOVA), apabila data berpengaruh nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut W-Tuckey untuk menentukan perlakuan yang menghasilkan respon terbaik. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah yang pertama penambahan probiotik pada pakan memberikan hasil performa pertumbuhan dan tingkat kelangsungan ihidup ikan yang lebih baik daripada ikan yang diberi pakan tanpa pemberian probiotik, kedua pemberian pakan dengan penambahan probiotik ( buatan dan komersil ) dapat meningkatkan kelangsungan hidup ikan nila, hasil terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan A (100%) dan B (96,67%) dan C ( 63,33% ), dan ipemberian ipakan dengan penambahan probiotik buatan, komersil, dan tanpa penambahan probiotik (kontrol) tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap efesiensi pakan. Efesiensi pakan terendah yaitu pada perlakuan A (0.79%).

Abstract

Ubinan merupakan salah satu cara untuk memperoleh data produktivitas suatu tanaman. Data produktivitas ubinan biasanya digunakan untuk memberikan potensi hasil tanaman dari suatu luasan tertentu. Pada ilmu statistika, ubinan merupakan sampel/contoh. Pendekatan untuk memperoleh nilai produktivitas pertanian adalah dengan Survei Ubinan. Survei ubinan digunakan untuk memperkirakan produksi yang dihasilkan oleh lahan sawah 1 hektar. Survei ubinan ini mengambil sampel plot seluas 2,5 m x 2,5 m secara acak dengan metode statistik tertentu. Data produktivitas hasil ubinan banyak digunakan baik oleh peneliti/pengkaji atau Badan/Instansi yang bertugas mengumpulkan data produktivitas terutama tanaman padi. Di Kecamatan Panca Rijang Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang telah dilakukan pengambilan 17 sampel ubinan padi di tiga desa yaitu Desa Bulo, Bulo Timoreng dan Timoreng Panua yang dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang produksi tanaman padi yang akurat. Berdasarkan data hasil pengambilan sampel ubinan padi di Kecamatan Panca Rijang menunjukkan berat ubinan tertinggi terdapat di Desa Bulo dengan berat ubinan 5.625 kg, sedangkan berat ubinan terendah terdapat pada Desa Bulo dengan berat ubinan 2.390 kg.  Dari 17 sampel plot ubinan padi di Kecamatan Panca Rijang, dapat dilihat rata-rata produktivitas hasil ubinan yang dihasilkan yakni sebesar 4.827 kg. Berdasarkan hasil pengambilan sample ubinan padi di tiga desa tersebut dapat dilakukan kegiatan evaluasi bersama untuk perbaikan usahatani yang akan datang.

Abstract

One way to increase tilapia aquaculture production is to produce feed. Materials are easy to obtain, do not compete with the community and are cheap wrongthe other is rice bran. This study aims to determine the effect of fermented rice bran flour using various types of fermenters on the growth performanceand feed utilization efficiency of tilapia. This research was conducted inSidenreng Rappang Regency. The test animals used were tilapia larvae measuring ± 1.05 g. The maintenance container is a tarpaulin pond with a size of 1 m x 1 m x 1 m filled with 85 L of fresh water. The study was designed using a completely randomized design consisting of four treatmentsand three replications, thus there were 12 experimental units. The treatment was determined based on the fermenter used for fermenting rice bran flour, namely Bacillus sp., Lactobacillus sp., Aspergillus nigers and Yeast.The test feed was given to tilapia larvae whichwere stocked with 20 fish per container for 60 days of rearing. The data on specific growth rate and feed efficiency of tilapia were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and water quality was analyzed descriptively based on the viability of tilapia.The results showed that tilapia fed fermented rice bran feed using Aspergillus nigers fermenter a significant effect on the specific growth rate and feed efficiency of tilapia. The optimal fermenter for hydrolyzing rice bran flour is using Aspergillus nigers.

Abstract

Sidenreng Rappang Regency has great potential in the freshwater fisheries sector, especially in tilapia cultivation and is the main choice for local farmers because the Sidrap area is mostly land and has no coastline. The problem in this study is to determine the most effective type of feed in increasing the growth rate of tilapia. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the best feed to maximize the growth of tilapia. This research was conducted in August-September 2024 at the Fisheries Science Development Pond, Muhammadiyah University of Sidenreng Rappang, Pancarijang District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, South Sulawesi. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) experimental design. The experiment consisted of two treatments with two replications each, so that there were a total of six experimental units. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the provision of natural and artificial feed had a significant effect on the growth rate of tilapia (p <0.05). Further analysis using the W-Tukey test revealed differences between feed A and feed B. Based on the results of the study, it was found that fish fed commercial feed experienced the highest growth with an average of 7.53 ± 0.05, while the lowest growth was found in fish fed natural feed with an average of 5.36 ± 0.11. This shows that artificial feed is more effective in increasing the growth of tilapia because it has a more balanced nutritional content, especially in terms of protein and energy, which is in accordance with the metabolic needs of fish. However, natural feed can still be used to support the survival of tilapia.

Abstract

The Indonesian industry still relies heavily on gelatin imports from countries such as Brazil, India, China, Thailand, and the United States. Unfortunately, the majority of this imported gelatin is made from pigskin, which is haram for Muslims, the majority of Indonesia's population. The use of fish waste for gelatin production is rooted in the need to maximize the utilization of fishery resources and reduce the environmental impact of fishing industry waste. The fishing industry produces abundant waste, mainly in the form of fish bones, skin and scales. Gelatin is widely used for glue manufacturing, cosmetic products, emulsifiers in the food industry, and pharmaceutical products. Gelatin from fish scales can be used as a formulation ingredient in food products such as syrup thickeners, jelly candy, confectionery, ice cream and noodle chewers.
