Abstract

It is very important for teenagers today to have self-compassion for themselves in everyday life, because by having high self-compassion, students are able to love and give affection to themselves, tend to have views and push for more positive things, and are able to accept things. failures experienced by humans in general. However, some students still have low self-compassion, so they tend to judge themselves and tend to feel separated from their surroundings. The aim of this research is to determine the description of self-compassion in santri, as well as to determine the effect of group counseling with gratitude therapy on increasing self-compassion in santri. This research is a type of quantitative research using a quantitative experimental approach. The population in this study was students at junior high school level, class VIII, totaling 225 students. Samples were taken using purposive sampling techniques among students. The data collection technique used was the self-compassion scale, then the data was analyzed using descriptive analysis and the Wilcoxon test. The results of this research show that the self-compassion of students is in the medium category. Meanwhile, a Wilcoxon signed ranks test analysis was carried out, a significant value (2-tailed) of 0.003 <0.05 was obtained, which means that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, which shows that there is an influence of group counseling with gratitude therapy on increasing the self-compassion of students at the Al-Islam Islamic Boarding School. Abstract

In the context of Indonesia and Malaysia, where cultural diversity is a very rich characteristic, the implementation of cross-cultural counseling utilization can be an effective means to strengthen social harmony and reduce the potential for conflict or tension between cultures. Therefore, research on the role of cross-cultural counseling in bridging the differences in multicultural societies in these two countries is very relevant and important to do. This research is a qualitative research using a field study approach using data collection techniques and a combination of survey analysis, in-depth, focus group discussions (FGD), and documentation study analysis. The results of the study indicate that cross-cultural counseling plays an important role in bridging differences in multicultural societies between Indonesia and Malaysia. Through cultural understanding of cross-cultural counseling activities carried out between counselors and clients with different cultures and paying attention to their diversity, cross-cultural guidance and counseling can help these two countries in bridging various differences in multicultural societies to understand, appreciate intercultural interactions

Abstract

This study seeks to examine and elucidate the significance of the principle of good faith within the national legal framework, as well as to develop norms pertaining to good faith in the context of operational cost recovery for production sharing contracts in Indonesia's oil and gas industry. This study utilizes a normative legal methodology alongside a legislative framework. The sources of data encompass essential legal materials, including legislation, journal articles, books, and pertinent research reports that contribute to the discourse. The analysis of the data is performed qualitatively through a juridical-philosophical lens, developing arguments rooted in legal philosophy, legal theory, and various legal principles. The findings reveal that the principle of good faith in the operational cost recovery of production sharing contracts in Indonesia is governed at each stage of the contract to safeguard the interests of disadvantaged parties. This regulation addresses the essential principle of good faith that all parties must adhere to in order to guarantee the equitable execution of rights and obligations. In the context of operational cost recovery for production sharing contracts in Indonesia, good faith is characterized by adherence to and compliance with audit results, reflecting a commitment to the proper execution of the business contract's terms. The operational cost recovery system is anticipated to serve as a reimbursement mechanism for expenses associated with oil and gas production.

Abstract

Mosque youth in Aceh Besar Regency are a vulnerable group exposed to radicalism on social media, often framed through religious issues. A community engagement program in the form of mentoring for this group can serve as an effort to raise awareness, build understanding, and develop media literacy skills. This initiative targets individuals from Generations X, Y, and Z who have strong religious habituation within the mosque environment, ensuring they are not trapped by hoaxes and radical narratives disguised as religious tendencies. The goal is to prevent their enthusiasm for social media from becoming a medium for brainwashing, cyberbullying, and mobilization towards radical thinking and actions, which could ultimately lead to legal consequences

Abstract

This article examines the constitutional legitimacy and practical implications of Wasatiyyah da’wah—an Islamic propagation model rooted in the principle of moderation—in Malaysia’s plural legal and religious context. While the Federal Constitution recognizes Islam as the religion of the Federation (Article 3(1)), it also guarantees religious freedom (Article 11), creating a legal space that necessitates careful interpretation and application. This study uses a normative legal methodology to analyze constitutional texts, statutory instruments, and judicial decisions through systematic, teleological, and contextual interpretations. The findings indicate that Wasatiyyah da’wah may function as a constitutionally compatible approach to Islamic propagation, provided it avoids coercion and adheres to legal safeguards. However, tensions arise in its implementation, especially when state-sponsored religious programs intersect with public welfare, education, and minority rights. The institutionalization of Wasatiyyah must be accompanied by transparent regulation, independent oversight, and alignment with human rights principles. By treating Wasatiyyah not merely as a theological ideal but as a constitutional strategy, the study contributes to constitutional Islamic studies and offers insights into reconciling Islamic identity with democratic pluralism. The research also opens avenues for comparative studies in other Muslim-majority societies facing similar legal and social challenges.

Abstract

Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) play a pivotal role in shaping students' character and moral behavior. However, recent years have seen a rise in negative behaviors among students, including lack of discipline, verbal bullying, and exposure to inappropriate content. This study aims to examine the implementation of group counseling services based on educational communication in reducing deviant behavior at Pesantren Modern Al-Manar, Aceh Besar. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that group counseling at the pesantren is conducted systematically through halaqah sessions, guided discussions, and reflective meetings with mentoring teachers. The approach emphasizes reflection, emotional support, and the internalization of Islamic values rather than punitive measures. Islamic teachings form the foundation of each session, incorporating lessons from the Prophet Muhammad’s character and the principles of tazkiyah (self-purification). While this model effectively mitigates negative behavior, challenges remain, particularly the shortage of trained facilitators and limited physical resources. The study concludes that a collaborative and religious-based group counseling approach serves as a relevant and adaptable character-building model that can be replicated in other Islamic educational institutions. These findings contribute to the development of contextual counseling practices in pesantren and offer practical insights for policy-making in character education grounded in local values and Islamic spirituality

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of dhikr therapy in reducing anxiety among children with cancer residing at the C-Four shelter in Banda Aceh. The objective is to explore whether dhikr can serve as an effective spiritual intervention to manage anxiety in pediatric cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. A quasi-experimental method was employed using a pretest-posttest control group design. The study involved 10 children divided into an experimental group receiving dhikr therapy and a control group without intervention. The Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) was used to measure anxiety levels before and after the intervention. Results showed a decrease in anxiety severity in the experimental group, with one subject shifting from “very severe” to “severe,” while no change was observed in the control group. However, statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests revealed no significant difference (p = 0.317 and p = 1.000, respectively). The findings suggest that while dhikr therapy has the potential to reduce anxiety levels, a longer intervention period and broader sample size may be required for statistically significant results. In conclusion, dhikr therapy may serve as a supportive spiritual approach to reduce anxiety in children with cancer during treatment

Abstract

Empowering coastal children is a complex developmental challenge requiring strategies that address psychological, social, and cultural dimensions within maritime communities. This systematic literature review examined how multicultural counseling, community asset development, and intercultural communication can enhance empowerment strategies. A systematic screening of academic databases over ten years yielded ten relevant studies from an initial 306 articles using strict inclusion criteria. Analysis identified convergence across three key dimensions: culturally sensitive pedagogical approaches, mobilization of community assets through linking resources and raising awareness of local capabilities, and universal communication patterns that transcend cultural boundaries. The integrative model highlighted the effectiveness of peer-led programs and experiential learning in promoting empowerment. Findings indicate that combining multicultural counseling principles, strategic community resource use, and intercultural communication creates a robust framework for coastal children’s development. This approach ensures cultural responsiveness while maintaining universal developmental principles, providing practical, evidence-based guidance for holistic empowerment interventions in diverse maritime settings. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu klien dalam menyelesaikan permasalahanya dan memberikan pemahaman melalui dinamika kelompok yang membahas mengenai perencanaan masa depan anak dengan latar belakang keluarga dan kecerdasan yang berbeda-beda. Metode yang digunakan adalah melakukan sosialisasi serta diskusi manfaat pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling, dan penerapan layanan konseling kelompok. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah terwujudnya perubahan pemikiran anak-anak panti dalam menentukan pilihan masa depan yang tepat tanpa memikirkan latar belakang keluarganya. Serta menciptakan tekat dan strategi pemilihan pendidikan yang linier dengan keinginan dan kemampuanya.

Abstract

Bullying merupakan masalah sosial yang dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan psikologis dan fisik anak, serta mengganggu proses belajar mengajar di SD N Reukih. Sosialisasi Stop Bullying menjadi salah satu program unggulan untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang aman dan mendukung bagi anak-anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran edukasi dalam menghapus bullying di sekolah dasar dan dampaknya terhadap pembentukan karakter anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan yang positif dapat meningkatkan kesadaran siswa mengenai pentingnya saling menghargai dan menghindari tindakan kekerasan. Program edukasi yang terintegrasi dengan kurikulum dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler mampu menciptakan iklim sekolah yang lebih inklusif dan mendukung perkembangan karakter anak yang lebih baik. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yang Objeknya adalah SD N Reukih serta Subjeknya adalah Siswa-siswi di SD N Reukih.
