Abstract

The challenges of inclusive education in Banyumas Regency, apart from the lack of special assistant teachers, the inclusive curriculum, and inadequate facilities are the three deadly sins of education: bullying, intolerance, and sexual violence. This research aims to analyze how inclusive schools address the issue of these three sins of education. This research employed qualitative methods through a case study at SDN (State Elementary School) 5 Arcawinangun and SD (Elementary School) Terpadu Putera Harapan Purwokerto. Data collection was done through interviews, observations, and FGDs. The results showed that bullying cases were the most dominating cases in education, followed by intolerance and sexual violence. Bullying cases were also experienced by children with special needs. The school has made various efforts to overcome this problem, including anti-bullying socialization for students both in the classroom, such as through songs that are easily understood by children, and outside the classroom, such as during the flag ceremony. In addition, the school is responsible for providing an understanding to all school members about the existence of children with special needs to provide appropriate and non-discriminatory educational services.

Abstract

Shivering, which often occurs after spinal anesthesia if left unchecked can worsen postoperative conditions, causing perioperative hypothermia. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving hot packs on the incidence of shivering after laparatomy surgery with spinal anesthesia. The research method used Quasi Experimental Two Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Non-probability sampling technique with accidental sampling type totaling 38 respondents, with Shapiro wilk normality test and wilcoxon rank-sum test. The research instrument used an electric hot pack, the intervention was given once for 15 minutes on the right and left forearms. Research in the treatment group showed that most of them experienced shivering. The results of the Wilcoxon rank-sum test in the intervention group were (p = 0.000), in the Mann Whitney test with the results (p = 0.000) which means there is an effect of giving before and after hot packs on the degree of shivering in patients post laparatomy surgery with spinal anesthesia. Giving hot packs is proven to have an effect in reducing shivering and increasing body temperature in postoperative laparatomy patients with spinal anesthesia. This simple intervention can help improve patient comfort and recovery after surgery. It is expected that health workers use hot packs as an action to overcome shivering.

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the strategy of tourism managers in developing the Curug Jenggala tourist attraction, obstacles and solutions in developing the Curug Jenggala tourist attraction. The research was conducted using qualitative methods. Informants were determined by purposive sampling technique; the chosen one was the Jenggala Curug tourist attraction manager. Research data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman data analysis model. The study results show that Curug Jenggala is a community-based tourism object that places the local community as the main subject in tourism development. The existence of the Jenggala Curug tourist attraction can improve the welfare of local communities by opening up jobs. The strategy implemented by the Jenggala Curug tourist attraction manager follows the concept of Karhi's strategic management. The first is the creation, implementation and evaluation of strategies—the second is promotion, research and development after research. The main obstacle experienced by tourism object managers is related to finance. Therefore more attention from outsiders (government and investors) is essential in developing the Curug Jenggala tourist attraction. Abstract

Medical records contain confidential information of patient’s medical condition and treatment given.  In the public interest or for the sake of law enforcement, the confidentiality of medical records may be breached.   Stake holders (patients, health workers and law enforcers) should take cognizance of what procedures and limitation exist when requesting the acquisition of medical records in the public interest. Using a juridical doctrinal method, the prevailing rules and regulation related to medical record and its breach of confidentiality shall be analysed.  One important finding is that there is a dire need to seek a balance between satisfying public interest and the protection of patient’s privacy rights.

Abstract

Biomedical waste including disposable masks requires proper waste handling so it doesn’t pollute the environment and cause re-transmission of COVID-19 disease. The purpose of this study was to look at the relationship between the knowledge, attitudes and practices of the Public Health Centre in Pangandaran Regency. Methodology: Cross-sectional study approach to study assessed KAP. 91 participants were from 15 different public health centres in Pangandaran. Data analysis used chi-square statistical test. Presented with frequency distribution and the form of a tabulation. Result indicated knowledge of respondents was only 41.40% with high scores and practices with high scores were only 44.40% but attitudes towards disposable mask waste management with high scores reached 98.6%. There is a relationship between age and practice with a p-value of 0.009 and a relationship between knowledge and practice with a p-value below 0.05. Conclusion the participants had insufficient knowledge and practice scores but have good attitude scores. Our results conclude that the HCWs good attitude does not affect good practice but knowledge may lead to a proper practice. Findings of this study suggest that a regular training program for the HCWs on BMW specially on disposable mask management may lead to better practice

Abstract

Grebeg Gethuk is a distinctive tradition of Magelang City that highlights the traditional food getuk as a symbol of regional cultural identity. The uniqueness of this tradition has earned Magelang the nickname “City of Getuk” and strengthened the image of local culture within the community. This study aims to fill the gap in research concerning the challenges in implementing the Grebeg Gethuk tradition, while also describing its execution and the preventive strategies adopted by the Department of Education and Culture. A qualitative descriptive method was used, drawing on primary and secondary data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that the implementation of Grebeg Gethuk faces several obstacles, including the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, miscommunication among stakeholders, and budget constraints. Nevertheless, the spirit of cultural preservation remains strong, supported by collaboration among the government, community, artists, and getuk producers. Preventive strategies include enhancing cross-sectoral coordination, optimizing budget use, and introducing innovative adaptations of the tradition in response to current conditions. The study concludes that the continuity of Grebeg Gethuk relies heavily on the collaboration and commitment of all stakeholders to preserve this tradition as a form of living and relevant local wisdom in the modern era.
