Abstract

The Sharia capital market in Indonesia has experienced significant growth in the number of transactions. However, the share prices of companies listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index tends to decline. Therefore, the purposes of the research were to examine the factors influencing the share prices of 30 firms listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index from 2018 to 2022. These factors include leverage, profitability, and firm value. This research also explores the role of inflation as a moderating variable on the influence of leverage, profitability, and firm value. Multiple regression analysis using random-effect model is employed to analyze the effect of leverage, profitability, and firm value on share price and the role of inflation as a moderator. The analysis results show that firm value has a significant positive effect on share price. Meanwhile, leverage and profitability do not have a significant effect. Inflation can only moderate the influence of firm value on the share price. This research contributes to determining company policies regarding improving financial performance and as a reference for the government in determining macroeconomic policies.

Abstract

This study aims to provide empirical evidence regarding the influence of tax revenue, revenue-sharing funds from natural resources, and government expenditure on the inclusive economic growth of district and city governments in Indonesia, and the role of institutional quality in moderating these relationships. This study used panel data, with an observation period of 2019–2023 across 515 district and city governments in Indonesia. A total of 2,575 observations of the final sample data were obtained using a purposive sampling method, and the hypothesis testing used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The PLS-SEM analysis revealed that tax revenue and government expenditure move in the same direction as inclusive economic growth in district and city governments in Indonesia. However, revenue-sharing funds from natural resources have a negative impact on inclusive economic growth. Institutional quality successfully moderates the effect of tax revenue mobilisation and government expenditure on inclusive economic growth. However, it fails to moderate the relationship between revenue-sharing funds from natural resources and inclusive economic growth.

Abstract

Halal certification and trademark registration are key legal instruments for strengthening consumer trust in Muslim-majority markets such as Indonesia. For micro-enterprises, they function not only as regulatory compliance mechanisms but also as strategic tools for brand differentiation and market expansion. This study examines the legal frameworks governing halal certification under Law No. 33 of 2014 on Halal Product Assurance and trademark protection under Law No. 20 of 2016 on Marks and Geographical Indications, using a normative juridical approach complemented by qualitative interviews with selected micro-entrepreneurs. The findings show that integrating halal certification and trademark registration generates dual consumer trust based on religious assurance and brand authenticity. However, bureaucratic complexity, limited legal literacy, and cost barriers constrain adoption. The study therefore recommends streamlining procedures, strengthening outreach, and providing targeted financial support to promote broader compliance, consumer protection, and inclusive economic growth.

Abstract

The banking sector is a key foundation of the Indonesian economic system. The stability and contribution of this sector are significantly influenced by bank financial performance and the dynamics of banking stocks in the capital market. Based on this, this study aims to investigate the effect of banking financial performance, as measured by the loan-to-deposit ratio (LDR) and return on assets (ROA), on stock returns. This study also includes the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) as a moderating variable to assess whether CAR strengthens or weakens the relationship between LDR and ROA on stock returns. The research sample consists of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2020 to 2024. The analytical method used is multiple regression with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) approach. The analysis results show that ROA has a positive and significant effect on stock returns, with a t-statistic of 2.00, which is significant at the 5% level. Furthermore, CAR is proven to moderate the relationship between ROA and stock returns, indicated by a t-statistic of -1.9, which is also significant at the 5% level. In contrast, LDR did not show a significant effect on stock returns, and CAR failed to moderate the relationship between LDR and stock returns.
