Abstract

Educational media is one of the factors that influence the learning process. One form of educational media that is effectively and efficiently used in the learning process is mobile learning. Because, by using mobile learning learning can be done anywhere and anytime, apart from that learning by placing the smart phone on will motivate students who in the digital era like today who prefer to operate smart phones. However, the skills and expertise possessed by teachers as educators and instructors as well as media makers and materials are still minimal. Therefore, the Biology education of IPI Garut held a training on Making Mobile Learning Media Based on Html 5 for Ipa Teachers in the Districts of Pameungpeuk to make teachers trained in making good mobile-based learning media. This training was held in Pamengpeuk District, which was located at MAN 3 Pamengpeuk, Garut Regency. The activity was held on December 22, 2018. This activity was attended by 17 teachers who were members of the Biology MGMP. The data obtained is data from the training participants in the form of questions raised about the activities carried out. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive. The results obtained by the training on the use of mobile lerning are very helpful for teachers in making learning media. effectiveness in the use of learning media based on mobile learning is considered good by most teachers, but there are also some teachers who judge it to be less effective due to certain factors, such as schools implementing regulations that students are prohibited from bringing gadgets to school. However, basically the use of educational media by using mobile learning can have a major impact on creativity and effectiveness during the learning process.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve teacher competence in distance learning during the adaptation period of new habits through the creation of online learning media, in particular making online questions based on google classrooms and interesting quizzes that can be easily used by teachers and students at SMPN 1 Banyuresmi. The service activity consists of two stages, the first stage is the delivery of material and the second stage is the practice of making online questions. The activity was attended by all teachers of SMPN 1 Banyuresmi. The training material is making online questions based on google classroom and quizziz. The results of the activity showed that community service was going well and smoothly. This was marked by a good response from the training participants and enthusiasm during the training and the application of online question making through the classroom and quizziz applications. the good is the point of view of assessment in this community service. Through this training, universities carry out their role to contribute to improving the competence of teachers or educators, especially in making learning media and online questions in Distance Learning activities. The obstacles that arise at this training stage are the relatively short time allocation, so that not all teachers can complete online question making

Abstract

This research generally aims to develop android-based teaching materials for students with special needs without intellectual barriers. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D). The development was carried out by adopting The Steps of System Approach Model of Educational Research and Development from Borg and Gall. The subjects and respondents in this study were students with special needs, teachers, parents and experts in the fields of learning, media and language. The results showed that digital teaching materials based on android can be developed. The results of expert judgement conducted by learning, media and language experts showed that the teaching materials developed are feasible to be used in learning for students with special needs with an average score of 3.7 that is categorized well. In conclusion, android-based teaching materials for students with special needs without intellectual barriers developed are feasible to use in the learning process. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the utilization of education technology development area in the manufacture of learning media by certified teachers in Garut Regency, West Java. This research is qualitative research using descriptive method. The research subjects involved were ten certified teachers. As a result of the research, all teachers have utilized educational technology in the manufacture of learning media, especially during the COVID-19 outbreak which has made the government implement distance learning, so that teachers are required to understand and master a variety of interesting learning media creation. Most teachers take advantage of computer-based media both online and offline, because it is more accessible to students. In addition, audio visual media is also the most used media by teachers, because it is considered to be a medium that can interest students in learning. In conclusion, the use of learning media by certified teachers mostly leads to the utilization of multimedia computer-based technology with more choice on audio visual materials both online and offline in providing learning materials, taking into account aspects of the availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure in schools. Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya kemampuan analisis mahasiswa di IPI Garut. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, dilakukan penelitian dalam perkuliahan praktikum Fisiologi Hewan dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif model simulasi. Penelitian ini mengkaji masalah peningkatan kemampuan analisis mahasiswa yang menggunakan multimedia interaktif dengan mahasiswa yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi yang mengambil mata kuliah Fisiologi Hewan tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kelas B dengan kelas C. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes kemampuan analisis. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif. Analisis data Kemampuan analisis dilakukan dengan uji Mann Whitney-U untuk pretes dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Peningkatan kemampuan analisis mahasiswa yang menggunakan multimedia interkatif model simulasi lebih baik daripada mahasiswa yang tidak menggunakan multimedia interaktif dalam praktikum fisiologi hewan mengenai sistem pencernaan pada Paramecium sp di IPI Garut. Berdasarkan  hasil penelitian, diajukan saran agar Multimedia interaktif model simulasi dapat digunakan dalam  praktikum di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan analisis mahasiswa, khususnya dalam aspek mengorganisasikan. Kemudian, pada penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengkaji penggunaan multimedia interaktif model simulasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam kawasan lainnya, baik itu dalam kawasan afektif maupun psikomotorik.

Abstract

This research was conducted to develop an Android-based learning media that is innovative and easy to use by teachers who have been certified in distance learning. The research method used is the Research and Development research method, the development stage refers to the Borg and Gall design which only focuses on 9 steps, namely potential and problem analysis, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, product revision, testing. user trial and product revision. Respondents in this study were biology teachers from high school and Madrasah Aliyah in Garut Regency who were certified as well as media and material experts. The results of the study show that android-based learning media is feasible to be developed, this is evidenced by the obtained average score of 3.6 in the good category. In conclusion, android-based learning media can be an alternative learning media that is effective, efficient, interesting, and can be used anywhere and anytime and can be used by teachers, especially Biology teachers who have been certified and are not yet so skilled in making learning media for use in learning. long distance. Abstract

Ethnobotany Study of Cangkuang (Pandanus furcatus Roxb.) Plants in the Indigenous Peoples of Kampung Pulo Garut.  Aims to determine the ethnobotany of Cangkuang plants through several studies, and to find out the percentage of growth strata, parts of organs used, and their utilization. The benefit of this research is to provide information on ethnobotany from various aspects of the study and to inspire the community to cultivate Cangkuang. The research method uses descriptive qualitative method, the method of work is carried out directly in the field and supported by interview respondents (semi-structural and open ended). Determination of respondents and data collection of plant samples using purposive sampling method. Based on research, observation and interviews, the botanical study of Cangkuang plants has an elongated taper leaf morphology, thory edges, has tap roots, no flower shape found. Ethnopharmacology, leaves and fruit as a medicine for diarrhea, dysentery, and antioxidants. Ethnolinguistics, Cangkuang is used as the name of a village, lake, temple and tourist park. Ethnoanthropology, the fruit has a myth as a repellent for spirits. Ethnoeconomics, the leaves are useful as household tools and food wrappers. Percentage of growth stages, 68 % seedlings, 16 % saplings, 9 % poles, and 7 % trees. The percentage of plant parts used, leaves 83% and fruit 17%. Percentage of plant utilization, 50 % medicine, 30 % of food wrappers, 17 % household appliances, and 3 % mythical object.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penguasaaan kinerja sains siswa setelah menggunakan prosedur praktikum berbentuk komik pada praktikum struktur sel tumbuhan di kelas XI MIPA SMA Ciledug Al-Musaddadiyah. Indikator ketercapaian kinerja siswa dinilai dari 25 aspek kinerja praktikum. Aspek-aspek tersebut terdiri dari kegiatan awal, kegiatan inti dan kegiatan penutup. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI di SMA Ciledug Al-Musaddadiyah. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi sebagai instrumen utama dan angket sebagai instrumen penunjang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap awal, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap penutup praktikum termasuk kategori sangat baik. Dari hasil angket respon siswa menunjukkan tanggapan positif dari penerapan penuntun praktikum berbentuk komik tersebut.Kata Kunci : Kinerja Sains, Penuntun Praktikum Berbentuk Komik

Abstract

ABSTRAKBerlatar belakang ingin mengetahui persentase kesesuaian antara materi dan evaluasi yang ada pada LKS Biologi kelas X dengan KTSP di SMAN Kabupaten Garut dalam hal ini silabus yang digunakan di sekolah masing-masing, maka dilakukan penelitian yang berjudul “ Analisis Kesesuaian LKS Biologi Kelas X dengan KTSP di SMAN Kabupaten Garut”. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif serta insrumen penelitian berupa wawancara dan lembar observasi dengan tujuan dapat mengetahui persentase kesesuaian antara materi dan evaluasi yang ada pada LKS Kelas X dengan KTSP di SMAN Kabupaten Garut. Teknik penelitian dilakukan dengan cara Sampel penelitian ini diambil dari 9 (Sembilan) Sekolah Menengah Atas Kelas X di Kabupaten Garut. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa persentase rata-rata kesesuaian antara materi pada LKS Kelas X dengan KTSP di SMAN Kab Garut adalah sebesar 67,6%. Sedangkan persentase rata-rata kesesuaian antara evaluasi pada LKS kelas X dengan KTSP di SMAN Kabupaten Garut adalah sebesar 52,5%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi yang mengambil mata kuliah Fisiologi Hewan. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kelas B dengan kelas C. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes kemampuan analisis dan minat belajar mahasiswa. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman dengan bantuan SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Minat belajar tidak mempengaruhi kemampuan analisis mahasiswa dalam praktikum Fisiologi hewan mengenai sistem pencernaan pada Paramecium sp di STKIP Garut. Berdasarkan  hasil penelitian, diajukan saran agar kemampuan analisis mahasiswa dapat diagali kembali dengan menggunakan teknik lain yang berbeda, seperti motivasai yang ad dlam diri mahasiswa. Kata Kunci: Minat belajar, kemampuan analisis
