Abstract

Creative thinking skills are an essential competency of the 21st century that prospective teachers need to have to face dynamic and complex learning challenges. This study aims to analyze the creative thinking skills of students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) in the context of Natural Sciences (IPA) learning through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data was collected using the Publish or Perish app from publications from 2015 to 2025, resulting in 402 initial articles. Through a gradual selection process based on the relevance of the topic, the initial 144 articles were obtained, then the next selection was carried out based on the suitability of the respondents and the field of study, 9 main articles were obtained that were analyzed in depth. The results of the study show that the creative thinking ability of PGSD students in science learning is still relatively low. Some of the factors that cause this include conventional learning approaches, lack of use of innovative learning media, and low stimulation of divergent thinking skills. This study recommends the need for learning designs that encourage the exploration of ideas, creative problem-solving, and the use of innovative media to optimally develop students' creative thinking potential.Kemampuan berpikir kreatif merupakan kompetensi esensial abad ke-21 yang perlu dimiliki calon guru untuk menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran yang dinamis dan kompleks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) dalam konteks pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data dikumpulkan menggunakan aplikasi Publish or Perish dari publikasi tahun 2015 hingga 2025, menghasilkan 402 artikel awal. Melalui proses seleksi bertahap berdasarkan relevansi topik diperoleh 144 artikel awal, kemudian seleksi selanjutnya dilakukan berdasarkan kesesuaian kesesuaian responden dan bidang kajian  diperoleh 9 artikel utama yang dianalisis secara mendalam. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa PGSD dalam pembelajaran IPA masih tergolong rendah. Beberapa faktor penyebabnya antara lain pendekatan pembelajaran yang masih konvensional, minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran yang inovatif, serta rendahnya stimulasi terhadap keterampilan berpikir divergen. Kajian ini merekomendasikan perlunya desain pembelajaran yang mendorong eksplorasi ide, pemecahan masalah kreatif, dan penggunaan media inovatif untuk mengembangkan potensi berpikir kreatif siswa secara optimal.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of understanding of elementary school teachers and students on the essence of Natural Sciences (IPA) in the 21st century learning era. The focus of the research is directed at the three main dimensions of the essence of science, namely scientific knowledge, scientific processes, and scientific attitudes, as well as their relationship with the level of interest in science. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with the population of all teachers and elementary school students in several schools in the research area. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling techniques, involving a total of 88 teachers and 263 students from the upper classes of elementary schools in 4 provinces in Indonesia. The research instruments are in the form of a questionnaire on understanding the essence of science and an interest questionnaire on science, which has been validated by experts and tested for reliability using the Cronbach Alpha coefficient. The results of the study show that the level of understanding of teachers and students on the essence of science in general is in the medium category. Teachers show a good understanding of aspects of scientific attitudes, such as honesty, hard work, and scientific responsibility, but are still weak in understanding the tentative, subjective, and limited nature of science. There was also a difference in tendency based on gender, where male teachers had a slightly higher understanding of the essence of science than female teachers, while female students showed a better understanding than male students. In addition, interest in science has a positive effect on understanding the essence of science. These results confirm the importance of Nature of Science (NoS)-based learning and teacher training that are oriented towards strengthening science literacy as well as the development of contextual learning strategies to foster students' scientific interests and attitudes in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tren penelitian internasional yang berhubungan dengan gamifikasi di lingkungan Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian berbasis sistematis kuantitatif research dengan teknik analisis bibliometric. Data penelitian diperoleh dari 2.285 artikel publikasi yang terindeks scopus mengenai gamifikasi di lingkungan Sekolah Dasar dari tahun 2012 hingga tahun 2024 yang diperoleh dengan menggunkaan analisis kata kunci, Analisis bibliometric pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi VOSviewer dan RStudio. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penelitian mengenai Gamifikasi di lingkungan Sekolah Dasar pada tahun 2012-2024 terus mengalami peningkatan jumlah publikasi pada setiap tahunnya. Negara yang paling banyak melakukan sitasi mengenai penelitian gamifikasi adalah USA yakni sebanyak 6.090 sitasi. Jurnal yang paling banyak melakukan publikasi adalah Jurnal Sustainability (Switzerlandz), kemudian artikel yang paling banyak disitasi adalah artikel publikasi karya Seaborn K yakni sebanyak 1.389 sitasi. Untuk Penulis yang paling aktif melakukan publikasi artikel yakni Isotani S dan Segura-Robles A yakni masing-masing sebanyak 14 artikel. Kemudian untuk negara yang paling banyak melakukan publikasi penelitian adalah Spanyol yakni sebanyak 445artikel publikasi. Kolaborasi penelitian banyak terjadi antara satu peneliti dengan peneliti yang lain, dalam tema gamifikasi ini terjalin delapan jaringan kolaborasi peneliti dan tiga negara mendominasi dalam jaringan kolaboasi antar negara ini yakni Spanyol, US dan UK. Trend tema penelitian yang berpotensi besar untuk penelitian selanjutnya yakni gamifikasi dihubungkna dengan elektronik learning dan students seperti pendidikan berbasis teknologi, media pendidikan, ICT, chatbot, dan lain sebagainya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Inquiry Learning terhadap kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi-experimental dan desain nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 20 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes uraian yang diberikan melalui pretest dan posttest. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, uji-t, dan N-gain. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan awal antara kedua kelas, tetapi setelah perlakuan diperoleh perbedaan yang signifikan, dengan nilai t-hitung 5,118 lebih besar daripada t-tabel 2,025. Dengan demikian, model Inquiry Learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of students’ needs for the development of interactive hypermedia in science learning to foster creative thinking skills and science process skills among prospective elementary school teachers. This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach using a questionnaire as the primary instrument. The participants consisted of 241 students from 13 Primary School Teacher Education programs across Indonesia. Data were collected through an online survey and analyzed using an interactive analysis model involving data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal a very high level of need for the development of interactive hypermedia in science courses. Most respondents indicated that interactive hypermedia should integrate project-based learning tasks, brainstorming activities, inquiry training components, gamification elements, contextual materials aligned with the elementary school curriculum, and science literacy development. The results also indicate that although students strongly believe that interactive hypermedia can enhance creativity, communication skills, motivation, and engagement, its actual implementation in science lectures remains very limited. The novelty of this study lies in providing comprehensive empirical evidence regarding the specific design requirements of interactive hypermedia that systematically integrates creative thinking, science process skills, self-regulated learning, gamification, and contextual science literacy within a unified instructional framework for science education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of gadgets on students’ learning discipline in elementary schools, identify the positive and negative impacts of gadget use, and examine efforts to improve students’ learning discipline in the era of rapid technological development. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were collected from various sources such as books, scientific journals, and research articles relevant to the topic. The data collection technique used content analysis, while the data analysis was conducted by reviewing, comparing, and categorizing information based on related themes. The results show that gadget use has a significant influence on students’ learning discipline. The positive impacts include easier access to information, increased learning motivation, and more interactive learning processes. However, excessive use of gadgets can lead to negative impacts such as decreased concentration, procrastination, and low learning discipline among students. Therefore, efforts such as supervision, time limitation, and digital literacy education are needed to optimize the use of gadgets in learning. In conclusion, wise and controlled use of gadgets can support the improvement of students’ learning discipline in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum) in primary schools-covering implementation forms, supporting factors, obstacles, and impacts on the learning process-through a literature review approach. The study employs a qualitative literature review method. Data were gathered from relevant national scholarly journal articles, books, and official documents regarding the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka in primary schools, published between 2021 and 2025. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka has a positive impact on the quality of learning in primary schools. The application of differentiated instruction, flexibility in developing instructional materials, and character strengthening through the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5)-or the Project to Strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile-have successfully enhanced students' active participation, creativity, critical thinking skills, and independence. However, the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka still faces various challenges, including uneven teacher readiness, limited facilities and infrastructure, and the need for continuous training and mentoring. Therefore, support from the government, schools, and teachers is essential to enhance the effectiveness of the Kurikulum Merdeka implementation, ensuring that the goal of improving learning quality in primary schools is optimally achieved.
