Abstract

Patient satisfaction issues with pharmaceutical installations can vary, including service quality, communication, waiting time, and other factors related to pharmaceutical services. Factors such as reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and physical evidence greatly influence patient satisfaction. This study aims to describe the level of patient satisfaction with the services provided at the Sail Pekanbaru Health Center Pharmacy Installation. Data were collected through questionnaires given to 50 patients who came for treatment and met the inclusion criteria in the period 28 October - 1 November 2024. The questionnaire was compiled based on the modified SERVQUAL method, with five variables, namely reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and tangible. Each variable consists of 4 questions. The results of sociodemographic data show that the majority of respondents are aged 17–40 years (52%), female (74%), have secondary education (56%), and work in the informal sector or are unemployed (42%). The results showed that in all dimensions, most respondents were satisfied with the services provided. The highest average level of satisfaction was in the tangible dimension with 42.5% of respondents stating very satisfied, and the lowest in the responsiveness dimension with 26% of respondents stating very satisfied. Although there were some notes on the aspects of supporting facilities and the comfort of the waiting room, in general patients stated that they were satisfied with the pharmaceutical services at the Sail Health Center.

Abstract

Abstract: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action or both. Hyperglycemia is a medical condition in the form of an increase in blood glucose levels that exceeds normal. Based on the cause, DM can be classified into 4 groups, namely type I DM, type II DM, gestational DM and other types of DM. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of the decrease in blood glucose levels when type 2 DM patients were hospitalized with Metformin and Glimepirid. This research is an observational study with the type of analytic descriptive study. The sample in the study amounted to 103 patients, the sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique and the instrument used was medical record data of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Data analysis used the Mann Whitney test and the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was no significant difference (p>0.05) between generic metformin monotherapy and generic glimepiride monotherapy in lowering transient blood glucose levels. Keywords: Diabetes Melitus Type II, Metformin, Glimepirid, Current Blood Glucose.

Abstract

Burns often occur in various daily activities, second-degree burns are the most common. Snakehead oil (Channa striata) contains fatty acids such as omega-3 and omega-6 which can accelerate the wound healing process. This study aims to determine the physical stability and effectiveness of emulgel preparations containing snakehead oil for 8 weeks of storage of the wound healing process, which was given topically to 5 groups of treated mice.Second degree burns were made on the skin of mice, then the wound was smeared with emulgel preparations and the healing process was observed for 21 days. Cork fish oil was formulated in several concentrations; F1 (5%), F2 (10%) and F3 (15%). Organoleptic datas showed that all formulas formed as semisolid dosage form with a pale yellow color and distinctive smell of snakehead oil. The emulgel has homogenous state, not irritating effect and pH range of 5,7 to 5,3. The dosage which has a concentration of 15% gives the smallest spread but has the longest adhesion. In the Freeze and Thaw stability test conducted at 40C and 400C the dosage remains stable with an increase in globule size. Data analysis of the effectiveness of burn healing was done by two-way ANOVA statistical tests and continued with the Tukey test. The independent variable is the treatment group and the recovery time of mice while the dependent variable is the diameter of the burn. Statistical results showed that all formulas differed significantly (p <0.05) against negative controls indicating that they had effectiveness in wound healing. F3 has a better effectiveness of healing burns on the 15th day with 100% healing percent compared with F1 and F2 on the 21th day.

Abstract

Abstract

The use of drugs prescribed by doctors is very important in providing health services for patient treatment therapy. According to reports received by the World Health Organization (WHO) irrational drug use continues to occur. This is evidenced by more than 50% of drug use being inappropriate when prescribing, while the remaining 50% is caused by inappropriate drug use. This research is a descriptive observational study with retrospective data collection techniques. The sampling method used purposive sampling with the study population all outpatient prescriptions for December 2022 and 320 prescription sheets used as samples according to the inclusion criteria. The results showed that the average number of drug items per prescription sheet was 3.06, the percentage of prescriptions for generic drugs was 98.57%, the percentage of prescriptions for antibiotic drugs was 25%, the percentage of prescriptions for injection preparations was 0%, and the percentage of prescriptions according to the National Formulary was 89.49%. It is hoped that this research can be used as an illustration and information in controlling rational drug use.
