Abstract

Abstrak Krisan memiliki tingkat heterozigositas dan self incompatibility yang tinggi. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan krisan jarang membentuk biji. Perbanyakan tanaman Krisan secara in vitro dianggap lebih menguntungkan karena dapat menghasilkan bibit dalam jumlah banyak dan waktu yang relatif singkat. Kultur in vitro dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan pertumbuhan, komposisi media dan zat pengatur tumbuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh intensitas cahaya, jenis media dan konsentrasi BAP serta interaksinya terhadap kadar klorofil dan pertumbuhan krisan secara in vitro. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok tiga faktor yaitu intensitas cahaya (1000 lux, 3000 lux dan 5000 lux), jenis pemadat media (agar-agar dan vermikulit) dan konsentrasi BAP (0 ppm; 0,25 ppm; 0,5 ppm dan 1 ppm) diulang sebanyak 3 kali pada setiap taraf perlakuan dengan unit perlakuan 1 eksplan/botol. Parameter yang diamati adalah pertambahan tinggi plantlet, pertambahan jumlah daun, pertambahan jumlah tunas dan perhitungan kadar klorofil total yang seluruhnya dilakukan pada 8 minggu setelah tanam (MST). Data dianalisis dengan Anava tiga arah dan Kruskal Wallis serta uji lanjut Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertambahan jumlah daun, pertambahan jumlah tunas dan tinggi planlet hanya dipengaruhi jenis media. Interaksi media agar-agar dan BAP 1 ppm menghasilkan pertambahan tunas paling banyak, sedangkan kadar klorofil total planlet krisan tidak dipengaruhi oleh intensitas cahaya, jenis media dan konsentrasi. Untuk perbanyakan krisan secara in vitro seebaiknya menggunakan media agar-agar + BAP 1 ppm dan pada rentang cahaya 1000 lux - 5000 lux

Abstract

Wirasangka mango is the identity flora of Tegal Regency. The morphological characters of the wirasangka mango have been studied, but need to be supplemented with anatomical characters. The anatomical character of the plant that needs to be studied is the anatomy of the leaves. Leaves have varying tissue structures and pigment content. This study aims to describe the anatomical characters and analyze the pigment content of wirasangka mango leaves. The characteristics and pigment content of wirasangka mango leaves have never been reported. Anatomical characters of mango wirasangka leaves were determined by cross-sectional leaf preparations using non-embedding method and whole mount leaf preparations. The pigment content of mango wirasangka leaves was analyzed using a spectrophotometer. The results of the study of the anatomical characters showed that the leaves of wirasangka mango have dorsiventral and hypostomatous leaf, have a palisade ratio of 4-5 cells, stomata are anomocytic type, guard cell length is 11.45 µm and guard cell width is 4.78 µm, and has a stomatal density of 173.25 /mm2. The chlorophyll content of shoots, young and mature leaves of wirasangka mango were 9.1 mg/l, 12.28 mg/l and 47.89 mg/l. The carotenoid content of shoots, young leaves and mature leaves were 293.51 µmol/g, 371.76 µmol/g, and 1445.88 µmol/g respectively, and the anthocyanin content of shoots, young leaves and mature leaves were respectively also 1.36 mg/100g, 0.75 mg/100g, and 0.38 mg/100g. The results of the research can be used to complete the characters that need to be observed in the characterization of wirasangka mango.

Abstract

Syzygium is one of the flora from the Myrtaceae family which is used by Indonesian people in various ways. This article is structured to analyze the various roles of the Syzygium species. The method used in preparing this article is a study of literature from various reputable international journals. Several types of Syzygium discussed in this article are S. jambos, S. fibrosum, S. cumini, S. malaccense, S. samarangense, S. densiflorum, S. grande, S. aromaticum and others. Plants belonging to the Syzygium have various roles including as a food ingredient, a role in agriculture, as a bioremediation agent for polluted environments and as a medicinal ingredient. The role of Syzygium in agriculture includes as a natural pesticide and as a weed control agent. The role of Syzygium in the environmental field is as a bioremediation agent for environments polluted by heavy metals, soil polluted by industrial waste and waterlogged soil with high salinity. Phytochemical compounds found in Syzygium cumini have the potential to be used as medicinal ingredients because they have therapeutic effects because they contain anthocyanins, phenols and polyphenols, compounds that function as antioxidants and anti-inflammatories that function to control oxidative stress in preeclampsia. With this article, it is hoped that the public will be able to find out the various roles of plants from members of the Syzygium so that they can make maximum use of them.

Abstract

Anggrek merupakan tanaman dengan nilai ekonomis tinggi. Griya anggrek Mekar Sari merupakan salah satu rumah anggrek di wilayah Kalisegoro yang mempunyai potensi besar untuk berkembang. Kegiatan saat ini yang dilakukan di Griya Mekar Sari hanya pemeliharaan dan penjualan anggrek saja. Rutinitas ini memberikan dampak menurunnya antusiasme pengelola. Selain itu tidak beragamnnya produk anggrek yang ditawarkan menyebabkan turunnya omzet penjualan. Sejak berdiri hingga sekarang rerata penjualan anggrek hanya berkisar 4 tanaman perbulan. Jumlah penjualan ini masih rendah dan belum memberikan dampak ekonomi yang berarti bagi anggota Griya Anggrek Mekar Sari. Tingkat penjualan yang rendah antara lain disebabkan karena koleksi anggrek yang masih terbatas dan tidak adanya produk lain yangberkaitan dengan anggrek yang dijual. Perlu adanya suatu terobosan berupa diversifikasi produk yang dapat menarik pembeli dan juga meningkatkan antusime pengelola. Solusi dari berbagai permasalahan yang dialami oleh mitra akan dilakukan bersama-sama antara tim pengusul dengan mitra. Jabaran dari solusi tersebut adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Peningkatan koleksi anggrek. (2) Peningkatan diversifikasi produk anggrek. Diversifikasi produk yang ditawarkan adalah kit pemeliharaan anggrek (berisi media tanam, pot kecil dan bibit anggrek dalam botol kecil) dilengkapi dengan manual penggunaannya, gantungan kunci dan hiasan meja berisi tanaman anggrek, peralatan standar pemeliharaan anggrek, pot cantik homemade, dan juga produk berupa kemasan anggrek yang menarik. Diharapkan diversivikasi produk ini akan meningkatkan omzet penjualan dan juga meningkatkan motivasi bagi pengelola Griya Anggrek Mekar Sari.

Abstract

The use of learning resources that have not yet ideal creates difficulties for students, particularly on Plantae material at SMA Negeri 1 Kembang, Jepara Regency, Central Java Province. Students had difficulties in identifying, mentioning, explaining the characteristics, body structure, and grouping plants into divisions based on general characteristics. In addition, the absence of the data from observations and phenetic and phylogenetic analyzes of plants and the role of plants in survival on earth (particularly in the surrounding environment), had an impact on the difficulty of achieving Core Competency Plantae. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the e-plantbook with a scientific approach to student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Kembang, Jepara Regency, Central Java Province. E-plantbook is a mobile learning applications-based e-book naming on Plantae material. E-plantbook can be used as an alternative learning resource for students. This research method is quasi-experimental to measure the effectiveness of using e-plantbook with a non-equivalent research design pretest-posttest control group design to measure learning outcomes. The average of student learning outcomes in the cognitive aspect is 89. E-plantbook is assessed to be effective based on a) the results of the t test for increasing cognitive learning outcomes with a significance of 0.000 (< 0.05) which indicates a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class, b) N Gain cognitive learning outcomes of 0.71 in the experimental class is greater than the control class (0.45), and c) the average score of the psychomotor aspect of the experimental class (3.80) with a very good category and greater than control class (3.53) with very good category. The use of e-plantbooks in the learning process could encourage student-centered learning because students were more active and students could learn independently.

Abstract

The Learning based on the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum allows students to be more independent in choosing their learning resources. Modern biotechnology practicum is often not carried out due to expensive tools and materials, and is usually incomplete. Teachers tend to only focus on the application of conventional biotechnology, and do not explore modern biotechnology. In addition, the science literacy skills of students in schools are still low, and there is no virtual laboratory learning media that can be used by students to improve understanding of modern biotechnology concepts for understanding biological technology innovation in CP phase F. This study aims to test the validity and openness test of STEM-based Lab Gene virtual laboratory learning media on modern biotechnology material. Data analysis was conducted to measure the validity and readability of the learning media. The results showed that the validity value of Lab Gene was declared valid with a value of 90.10% or including a very high category (very valid) by material experts and 83.75% or including a very high category (very valid) by media experts. Meanwhile, the results of media readability (rumpang analysis) by 9 students at SMAN 1 Sumber obtained 89.03% with a very good category. Based on the research results, it is known that the STEM-based Lab Gene virtual laboratory is said to be valid and has good readability. Lab Gene virtual laboratory learning media is feasible to be implemented in schools to improve students’ science literacy.

Abstract

Biology learning media is needed in school learning, so Biology teachers must prepare for the media needs. One material that requires additional learning media is plant material. The learning media is expected to complement the books used in schools. This research aims to: 1) Identify types of natural dye plants on Mount Ungaran, especially Ngesrepbalong Village, Limbangan District, Kendal Regency. 2) Analyzing the effectiveness of E-booklets in increasing students’ scientific literacy on Plantae material. 3) Analyze the practicality of E-booklets as a learning medium for Plantae material. The method of data collection techniques use interviews, observation, and questionnaires. The analysis data used N-gain. Based on the results of analysis and research, it shows: 1) There are 19 species of natural dye plants identified on Mount Ungaran, especially in Ngesrepbalong Village, Limbangan District, Kendal Regency. 2) E-booklets are effectively used in biology learning. 3) E-booklets are practically used in biology learning. The results of this research can be used as a reference for developing other media in learning Plantae material.

Abstract

Cirebon Regency is one of the few Indonesian batik craft center which still use natural dyes in hand-written batik making. The natural dyes are generally extracted from plants. The kind of plants used as natural dyes source for batik in Cirebon Regency are not yet known. This ethnobotanical research aimed to describe the kinds of plants and their characteristics, the frequency of citation by respondents, the parts of the organs used, the sources of obtaining plants, the colors produced, usage technique, as well as the role of using natural dyes in batik to support implementation of green economy. The research approach was exploratory descriptive through observation and interview techniques for data collection. The research was carried out at Kebon Gedang Block, Ciwaringin Village, Cirebon Regency, Indonesia in September 2023. Thirty respondents were selected by purposive sampling method and subjected to the interview. The results showed there were 14 plants species from 12 families used as natural dyes. The most frequently used species were Mangifera indica and Indigofera tinctoria. The organ most widely used was the bark which comes from the purchased, and the color generally produced was brown. The most frequently coloring method used was boiling technique. This research is the first study in this area and useful for providing data and strategic potential for developing local plants as environmentally friendly natural dyes, as well as supporting efforts to use natural dyes in the batik industry.

Abstract

Research Development of e-Booklet Making Nata De Pina Research-Based Research as a Learning Source of Biological Technology Innovation Material in the Merdeka Phase E Curriculum in High School aims to analyze the influence of the concentration of sprouts extract on the quality of thickness and weight of nata de pina, as well as analyzing the validity, feasibility, and readability of E-Booklet Making Nata De Pina Developed. The development research design uses the Addie model, which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. In this study the implementation stage was not implemented. The results of this study were the provision of sprouts in the process of making nata de pina had a significant effect on the thickness of thickness and weight of nata de pina. The best results of the five treatments for the concentration of sprouts extract tested are trial in the K4 treatment with a concentration of sprouts of 100 ml for 500ml of media. The e-Booklet of making Nata de Pina is considered very valid with the acquisition of material validation scores of 90.90% and the validation score of media experts of 93.53%. The e-Booklet making Nata de Pina was declared very feasible with the acquisition of the teacher response score of 96.66% and the student response was 89.52%. As well as the results of the e-Booklet readability test making Nata de Pina is considered high with the acquisition of the Rumpang test score of 98.38%.

Abstract

Karimunjawa National Park (TNK) area is ± 111,625 hectares covering 27 islands located in Jepara Regency, Central Java at the northern tip of Java Island. Karimunjawa became Karimunjawa National Park (TNK) based on the Decree of the Minister of Forestry and Plantation No.78/Kpts-II/1999 because it has high diversity. The complexity of ecosystems in TNK is interesting to study, such as coral reef ecosystems, mangrove forests, lowland tropical rainforests, seagrass meadows, seaweed, and coastal forests. The mangrove forest in Karimunjawa National Park is a unique ecosystem because it consists of many mangrove species. However, data on the diversity of mangrove species on this island has not been widely described. This study aims to reveal mangrove diversity in Karimunjawa National Park as a rescue strategy and explore the potential of mangrove biodiversity. This research is a descriptive study using the cruising method to explore mangrove species diversity. The location of mangrove diversity exploration is mangrove forest in Karimunjawa National Park. The results found 14 families consisting of 38 mangrove species. Among the 38 species, 24 species are true mangroves, while the other 14 species are associated with mangroves.
