Abstract

LTE technology is a technological evolution of the UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) on the three-generation (3G). Mobile telecommunications service providers have the opportunity to use technology through frequency refarming. Before applying the LTE technology, cell planning based on capacity and coverage need calculated in orde to calculated the number of site eNodeB. This research aims to provide of placement site and the number of sites required for the implementation of eNodeB of frequency 1850MHz. Calculation the number of site eNodeB is based on capacity dimensioning and coverage planning. The results showed the number of sites required in the Sub-district Bukit Raya Pekanbaru is 31 site.Keyword: LTE, Cell Planning, Mapinfo, Capacity Planning, Coverage Planning.

Abstract

Nowadays, intensive research on 5G MIMO microstrip antenna is increasing due to the high data rate required. Frequency 28 GHz is one of the allocation frequency approved by FCC. In this paper, MIMO 2x2 microstrip patch antenna using microstrip feeding line is dessigned for 5G wireless communication network. This antenna uses an array technique to increase the gain of the antenna. The antenna is designed and simulated using CST Microwave Studio simulation software and operated at 28 GHz. From the simulation result, the impedance bandwidth obtained is 1,95 GHz or 6,96% with return loss of -44,77dB, the simulated gain reaches 18,5 dBi. The designed MIMO 2x2 microstrip antenna meets the 5G requirements.Keywords : 5G Antenna, MIMO, Dual-Band Antenna, Microstrip Antenna Array.

Abstract

Cell phones have become a major part of the society in daily life - today. The use of mobile phones has spread in every community, rural and urban. SingTel, Hutchison, Comindo Axiataand Indosat are some operators cellular telecommunications network that use UMTS and HSDPA technology. The parameters that determine the power level and the quality of the signal strenght of each operator is known as RxLevel (the Receptiom Level) for GSM and the RSCP (Received Signal Code Power) in order to WCDMA. One of methods for analyzing to measure that parameters is a drive test which use rf signal tracker software. This research will compare a drive test method with simulation method, where the simulation using radio mobile software. The location of this research is in some protocol streets on Pekanbaru, such as Cut Nyak Dien Street, Jend. Ahmad Yani Street, Ir. H. Juanda Street, Gajah Mada Street, Diponegoro Street and Jend. Sudirman Street. The result shows that Telkomsel has the best signal strength in protocol streets on Pekanbaru with -63.082 dBm, followed by XL Axiata with -68.187 dBm, then Hutchison with -75.082 dBm. The lowest signal strenght is operator Indosat with the value -86.411 dBm.Keywords: WCDMA, UMTS, HSDPA, Drive Test, RF Signal Tracker, Radio Mobile.

Abstract

This research developed a heart rate monitoring system using 3 lead electrodes sensor based LoRa. LoRa used to send the data from transmitter to receiver. Hardware used is arduino uno, ad8232, lora shield and electrodes. The result of patient’s heart rate monitoring are displayed on Graphical User Interface (GUI) designed in visual basic 2010. Visual basic provide information such as heart rate per minute, heart rate signal and heart rate characteristic such a bradicardia, tacycardia and normal. Based on the test result, LoRa can work better in Line of Sight (LoS) condition compared with non-LoS condition. For LoS condition, RSSI is at interval of -96 to -107 dBm for distance of 50 meters to 200 meters, while for non-LoS condition is at interval of -103 to -113 dBm. The result of patient’s heart rate monitoring show a heart rate error of 5.98 % with signal intervals that are still classified in the normal range category.Keyword: ECG, LoRa, Monitoring

Abstract

Wireless sensor networks  (WSN)  consists of a large number of sensor nodes.  It has been pervasive in various applications including health care system, battlefield surveillance system, environment monitoring system and so on.  The main issues of WSN is about how to extend lifetime by reducing  power consumption of sensor nodes. Since  the most energy is used for transmitting and receiving packet, and replacing batteries as a main power source of sensor nodes are impossible due the location of sensor nodes that is hazardous, routing protocol become the best solution for minimize power consumption of sensor nodes. Many routing protocols have been proposed to increase lifetime of WSN. One of these protocols called LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy). LEACH is the first clustering based routing protocol, many researcher proposed new protocols and compared it’s performance with LEACH. So, we decided to analyze LEACH using MATLAB. We found that LEACH can be more effective  if more number of nodes in networks with the right number of cluster, more initial energy and if location of base station is near from the plan. Abstract

Instrument pemantau kualitas udara ruangan dibangun dengan menggunakan sensor MQ7 sebagai pengukur besaran karbon monoksida(CO), sensor GP2Y1010AUOF sebagai pengukur besaran Dust atau particulate matter (PM10)dan sensor MQ131 sebagai pengukur besaran gas O3. Arduino Mega2560 berperan sebagai Master Control Unit(MCU) yang mengelola data sinayal Analog hasil pembacaan sensor menjadi data digital yaitu kualitas udara sesuai standar yang digunakan, dan MCU juga akan menampilkan data kualitas udara ruangan pada layar LCD nokia 5110 84x48.Tampilan data berupa grafik dan numerik ditunjukkan pada display komputer(Laptop) dengan menggunakan software LabVIEW. Untuk memudahkan pengguna data hasil pengukuran indeks kualitas udara ruangan disajikan dengan menggunakan standar indeks kualitas udara yang telah ditentukan pemerintah yaitu Indeks Standar Pencemaran Udara(ISPU).Keywoards : ISPU(Indeks Standar Pence,aran Udara), MCU, LabVIEW, Sensor.

Abstract

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Early detection is the best solution for cancer treatment. The UWB microwave imaging technology is one of the most promising technologies in the field of medical diagnosis, because it is non-ionizing and low cost. One of the most important elements in a microwave imaging system is an antenna. Recently, the flexible electronic is used as substrate for microstrip antenna. This paper will proposed the design of flexible antenna for breast tumor detection. The proposed antena is designed using Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) as substrate and silver as patch. The simulation result shows flexible antenna is work at 5.8 GHz frequency with -25.27 dB value of return loss, 1.115 value of VSWR, 3.37 GHz bandwidth, 58.1% GHz impedance bandwidth and 2.68 dBi Gain. By using a flexible substrate, the antenna can follow the structure of the breast and can be placed in the breast for better breast tumor detection. Abstract

Current technological advances and developments require the academic community to continue to innovate to build the country by improving science and technology. One area of concern for researchers is Electronics and Telecommunications. Part of the science that is currently quite indemand is the antenna. In this study discusses Stretchable Antenna Simulation Modeling for RADAR Applications, the antenna is designed using Polydimethysiloxane (PDMS) material so that theantenna can be bent and adjusted to its placement. The antenna is made with an Ultra Wideband (UWB) frequency in the frequency range of 3.1 – 10.6 Ghz with a minimum bandwidth of > 500 MHz and a return loss of < -10 dB with a VSWR of < 2, so that the antenna can detect according to radar capabilities because this frequency has wide bandwidth. When this antenna is simulated the antenna can work at a center frequency of 3.4 GHz with a bandwidth of > 500 MHz, then when the antenna is bent it does not experience a significant change in frequency, judging from the bandwidth obtained is the same but the return loss is getting lower to -43 dB but still at a frequency of 3.4 GHz.Keywords: Antena, Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), AgNw, Stretchable, Bending, RADAR, Ultra Wideband (UWB).

Abstract

The rapid development of telecommunications technology makes a network with a larger bandwidth capacity and higher speed. In order to meet these demands, optical communication technologies have been developed, one of which is Radio Over Fiber (RF), which combines a wireless and an optical network using an analog optical cable that transmits a modulated Radio Frequency (RF) signal. This study uses a frequency of 15 GHz combined with Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) and Sub Carrier Multiplexing  (SCM) technology. It presents an SCM/WDM ROF using Diferensial phase shift keying  (DPSK) modulation technique. The performance parameters are BER, Q-factor and eye diagram. The model system was simulated using the OptiSystem simulation software. Based on the results, the BER values are 1.00243 x 10-50 at SCM/WDM 1 and 1.24638 x 10-47 at SCM/WDM 2, respectively. Futhermore, the Q-Factor quality is 14,933 at SCM/WDM 1 and is 14,4503 on SCM/WDM 2. Abstract

Diabetes mellitus affects millions of people worldwide. At present, the technology used by people with diabetes for determining blood glucose concentration is an invasive method that requires a blood sample and is thus painful. Bloodless and painless technology to monitor blood glycaemic levels could improve the lives of diabetes patients. This paper presents the design of a Mikrostrip antenna which can be used for non-invasive blood glucose monitoring. The antenna works well atfrequency of 2.46 GHz. This frequency shift can be used to observe the change in blood's concentration, which will be used to estimate the concentration of glucose in the blood.Keywords: Mikrostrip Antenna, Return Loss, Non Invasive Method,Glucose Monitoring, ISM Band
