Abstract

Currently the increasing of electricity bill become hot topic in Indonesia society. The increasing of electricity bills is due to the uncontrolled usage of home appliances. In addition, the uncontrolled usage of appliance will also cause a fire. One of the alternative solution to over come by deploying a remotely control system for home appliances. This paper purpose a home automation control system design prototyping. This design system is expected comply to Internet of Things (IoT) system. The system consists of hardware and software. The hardware consists of arduino and esp8266. The testing scenario is excuted as the following condition depend an internet for traffic and looping process of and vary of router distance. Conducted three tests based on the distance of the device to the router is specified as follow 30 cm, 5 m and 10 m, respectively. Based on the measurement result, the first test provides 1.93-4.20 seconds of data transmission time. The second test is 2.05-5.20 seconds and the third test is 4.74-8.51 seconds. These results are slightly higher than previous study with only 2-6 seconds. However, this system has ability to receive 100% data compared to other that is only 91.7%.Keyword :Internet of Things, Home Applianced Controller, Control System

Abstract

This research developed a heart rate monitoring system using 3 lead elektrodes sensor based labview. Labview software used to display information generate in the form of GUI (Graphical User Interface). Hardware used is mega 2560 microcontroller arduino, signal conditioning board AD8232, and type electrode leads flops as a heart rate signal. GUI (Graphical User Interface) designed in labview provide information such as heart rate per minute, heart rate signal and heart rate characteristics such as bradycardia, tachycardia, and normal.Keywords: 3 Lead ECG, GUI (Graphical User Interface) Labview, Arduino, AD8232, Heart rate characteristics

Abstract

This research is proposed to design a smart lock system by using QR Code scanning as a key in the locker. The device system design consists of ESP8266 Node MCU module, 12V Power Switch Adapter, AMS 1117 module with 3.3V and 5V output voltages, three pieces of 5V Relays, and three pieces of 12VSolenoids. The design of database uses a web hosting database server. The results showed that each components can work properly and the MySQL database has many tables and each tables containspersonal data from admins and students. Then in terms of security systems, the login level status and user verification were added to the tables. the login level will active when a student fails to login more thanthree times, the database will automatically block the account and send an email notification to the user. This aims to protect the account from irresponsible parties when accessing the locker. Meanwhile, userverification is intended to validate the student's personal data by using their student ID card (KTM).Keywords : Smart Lock System, QR-code , Solenoid , MySQL

Abstract

Reliability is the ability of a system or component to perform required function over a specific time period. Reliability wireless point-point network on BMKG Meteorology Station in Pekanbaru determined from its quantitative and qualitative failure rate. This paper presents analysis of wireless point-point network reliability based on the value of MTTF. Quantitative failure such as damage of network device and qualitative failure such as failure time traffic on transmission network. The method to analyze this network reliability is weibull distribution method, by using analysis of LSM calculation. The calculation result of shape parameter value (ᶿ) quantitative and qualitative failure are 2.4554 and 2.7428 beside it value of scale parameter (α) quantitative and qualitative failure are 1.4018 and 1.3420. Quantitative and qualitative failure MTTF from during 0.1072 years and 0.0629 weeks. Value of reliability total is 0.9829.Keyword: Reliability, Weibull Distribution, MTTF.

Abstract

Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) is an application of WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) using IEEE 802.11 standard. Wi-Ficommunication systems use radio networks with a frequency of 2,4 GHz, a weakness in wireless communication issusceptible to interference called co-channel and adjacent channel. In this research solution given by two methodscalled geographical separation and guard band. Geographical separation is a method that is done by giving thedistance between two interconnecting devices. Separation based on the scope of the coverage area of the device that isby gradually shifting until no interference occurs again. Guard band method is a method by giving the space band onboth interconnected channels of 3 MHz. In this study the parameter in the analysis is the SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio)value, the lowest SNR value occurs in the geographical separation method at a distance of 10 meters on signal channel1 with signal channel noise 1 is 12 dB when interference co-channel. The highest SNR value occurs in testinggeographic separation method in channel 7 with signal channel noise 4 at a distance of 40 meters when adjacentchannel interference occurs is 56 dB. Research result shows the most effective method to reduce the impact ofinterference is the geographical separation method.Keywords: Geographical separation, guard band, interference, Wi-Fi.

Abstract

Wi-Fi is a technology that is very poluler today. WiFi is an abbreviation of Wireless Fidelity, is a set of standards used for Wireless Local Network (LAN Local Area Networks) whose function is to connect local area networks in a wireless manner. Along with the evolution of telecommunications technology based on wireless technology, then we need for a communication system that can perform high-speed data transmission with good quality. One of the devices supporting wireless communication devices is the antenna. The use and selection of antennas is one of the important factors that affect the performance of the antenna as well as good design and proper installation will ensure the performance of the telecommunications system. Microstrip antenna has the advantages of low profile form, which is easy and inexpensive to produce in mass but has a small gain and bandwidth. This paper discusses the design of the Microstrip antennas patch for WiFi applications that operate at a frequency of 5.8 GHz . In this design uses FR4 epoxy material = 4.4 and a thickness of 1.6 mm, is suitable for application of high-frequency antenna. For the simulation in this paper using the software CST Microwave Studio. From the results of the design using CST studio microvawe is obtained in accordance with the specification antenna, with VSWR ≤ 1.5, gain ≥ 2 dB and return loss ≥ 20 dB.Keywords: Microstrip Antenna,, WiFi, Gain, VSWR, Return Loss

Abstract

The development of fifth-generation network telecommunications technology (5G) in Indonesia can make commercial, medical, academic, and governmental services more efficient and faster in the field of communication so that 5G technology is needed for the future. The 5G telecommunications technology can be optimally applied in Indonesia in 2020 if the parameters are designed following Indonesia's 5G channel. Channel Modeling 38 GHz for 5G communication using NYUSIM (New York University Simulator) using Matlab-based SSCM (Software Statistical Channel Modeling) data. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City sub-District for the urban microcell (UMi) scenario, the resulting value was in the form of Pathloss value (125.5 dB), Power Receive (-95.5 dBm), AOA (Angle of Arrival) angle of arrival (from receiver to transmitter) displays the angle received is ± 180 degree, while the AOD (Angle of Departure) departure angle (from the transmitter to the receiver) shows the angle of departure is ± 270 degree, and the Omnidirectional Power Delay Profile (PDP) value is 750 ns with standard deviation is 12.3 ns. Abstract

In this research, a flexible microstrip antenna using the Coplanar Waveguide feeding technique was applied for breast tumor detection. The antenna is designed and simulated using HFSS 15.0 simulation software and operates at frequency of 4-6 GHz with a wide bandwidth which is 3.5 GHz (5.5 GHz - 9 GHz). The flexible microstrip antenna using a flexible PET (polyethylene) substrate has a value of εr = 3 and a thickness of 0.135 mm is printed with silver ink as a patch and ground material. The antenna was measured by simulation using breast phantom, and an additional 1 mm of tumor as a comparison of the measurement result. The return loss result from measurement using breast phantom with tumor are -29 dB at frequency of 4.9 GHz, and measurement for breast phantom without tumor are -31.5 dB at frequency of 4.5 GHz. For the bandwidth obtained, both of them get a width of 2 GHz (3.6 GHz - 5.6 GHz). Keywords: Flexible Microstrip Antenna, Bandwidth, Coplanar Waveguide, Polyethylene

Abstract

WiGig (Wireless Gigabite) is the next generation technology of WiFi (Wireless Fidelity). WiGig speeds can reach 7Gbps / s and have great access. In this study, microstrip antenna Quasi-Yagi MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) High gain for WiGig application operating at 60 GHz is discussed. Microstrip antenna is designed by using MIMO Technique to increase the gain. Antenna is simulated by using CST (Computer Simulation Technology) Microwave Studio software. From the simulation results, the antenna can operate at a frequency of 60 GHz. The bandwidth obtained is 3.75 GHz (5.79%) at VSWR 1.04 and the gain is 10.1 dB.Keyword: WiGig, MIMO, Gain, Bandwidth, VSWR

Abstract

Antena Circular line patch memiliki bentuk patch circular dan antena Thick line memiliki patch rectangular. Kedua antena ini mampu bekerja secara optimal pada frekuensi 1.8 GHz. Software CST digunakan dalam perancangan dua antena ini dan  dilakukan beberapa kali pengkarakterisasian. Untuk antenna circular line patch, didapat hasilnya yaitu pada frekuensi kerja 1.8 GHz dengan return loss -24.36 dB, bandwidth 160 MHz, dan gain  2.457 dBi. Antena thick line patch dan circular slot, didapat hasilnya yaitu pada frekuensi 1.8 GHz dengan return loss -26.493 dB, bandwidth 213 MHz, dan gain  2.26 dBi.
