Abstract

Microstrip antenna is a sensor and monitoring technology that is currently developing rapidly. In the medical field, microstrip antennas have been widely used. This study presents an implantable microstrip antenna that is implanted in the human body for medical applications. The antenna is designed to work in the MICS frequency band (402-405 MHz) using Roger RT Duroid 6010 substrate material (εr = 10.2 and thickness 0.635 mm). The implanted antenna is designed using a spiral miniaturization technique with a radius of 6.74 mm to maintain its dimensions at low frequencies. The implant antenna was simulated using a phantom (skin, fat, muscle) using the CST Studio Suite simulation software. From the simulation results, the return loss value is -17.794, the gain directivity achieved is -47.71 dBi and the VSWR achieved is 1.2619 and the bandwidth is 136.95 MHz. All parameters are in accordance with ITU standardization. Keywords: implanted antenna, MICS band, miniaturization technique, phantom

Abstract

This paper proposes an optimal degree distribution for Coded Random Access (CRA) exploiting Multi User Detection (MUD) with capability of K = 3. The CRA with MUD K = 3 can support the fifth telecommunication generation (5G) networks and massive machine-type communications, including the Internet-of-Things (IoT). The optimization is performed by the help of Extrinsic Information Transfer (EXIT) chart, a visual tool describing the behavior of the wireless networks, and a series of computer to validate the expected results. We found that the IoT networks using the proposed optimal degree distribution, having only two terms with less exponent, can achieve the maximum offered traffic (G∗) of 2.736 packet/slot.Keyword: Degree distribution, multi user detection, coded random access.

Abstract

The last decade has been enormous invasion of wireless device in the evolution of technology. The requirement of high throughput is needed to provide the quality of device such as audio, data, video, and games. However, the connected devices grown and increase critcially year by year. Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) that has been embedded for 4G technologies as the one of technology is more likely adapted on 5G to improve the data peak rate for SNR(Signal-to-Noise Ratio). High gain and better efficency are needed for Base Station as transmit the power to receiver or connected device. MIMO can be confirmed as the solution to increase the gain with better effeciency. This paper proposed the design of MIMO antenna with high gain. The proposed antenna is designed RT Duroid 5880 substrate with the overall size of 136.5x40x0.127 mm3. The MIMO consist of 20 element antenna that achieved 26.4 dBi of gain at 38 GHz frequency and 22.2 dBi at 28GHz. Keyword: MIMO, 5G, High Gain, Base Station, Microstrip.

Abstract

Information heartbeat’s per minute and characteristics of heart rate is an essential to be monitored, it shows normal and abnormal condition of heart rate person’s characteristic. The normal heart rate is usually 60-100 bpm. This paper present a system monitoring based on Zigbee and Labview. It monitors heartbeat’s per minute, heart rate characteristic and respiratory rate per minute displayed though Labview GUI. From experimental the heartbeat’s of 89 bpm was obtained, it indicated in normal condition. The heart rate is less than 60 bpm indicated bicardia characteristic, and the heart rate is more than 100 bpm indicated tachicardi characteristic. Keywords: Photoplethysmograph, Heart’s rate, Respiratory rate, Labview, Heartbeat’s, Breathing

Abstract

Attendance lists are very much needed in lectures. The presence system using fingerprints was chosen because it has advantages, namely Perennial Nature, Immutability, Individuality. Thepresence system device uses the FPM10A fingerprint sensor, Arduino uno as a microcontroller and LoRa as a transceiver module. The LoRa module was chosen because it has advantages, namelygeolocation, low power consumption, can transmit a maximum signal of 100 KM and is equipped with end-to-end AES128 encryption. The test scenario is carried out in two conditions, namely Lineof Sight (LOS) and Non-line of Sight (NLOS) conditions which are divided into 5 test points, namely 50m, 100m, 150m, 200m and 250m. The spreading factor used is SF7 with a bandwidth of 125 KHzand a coding rate of 4/5. The bitrate value is 5496 bits / sec. The best RSSI value in LOS conditions is -73.40 dBm and NLOS conditions is -87.90 dBm. The best delay value in LOS conditions is0.03713 s and NLOS is 0.0371192 s. The best transfer rate in the LOS condition is 0.029213 bits / sec and the NLOS condition is 0.29214 bits / sec. The best throughput in the LOS condition was0.23370% and the NLOS condition was 0.2336%. In the LOS condition, the LoRaTM modulation is capable of receiving data up to 250m while the LoRaTM modulation NLOS condition is capable of receiving data up to 250m. Energy usage when sending data is 0.001066397 J, when receiving data is 0.000682536 J. When the sending device is willing to use energy of 5.08296614 J and thereceiving device is 3.011387426 J.Keyword: presence, LoRa, Modulation

The antenna has a big role either in high or low frequency of wireless communication. In transmission process, antenna also become a determinant factor of successful communication between transmitter and receiver. In this project, we will design an omnidirectional antenna that will be connected with electrical unit measurement device. To make analyzing process easier, ansoft hfss 13.0 software will be used. The simulation results show that the antenna can work well at frequency of 433 MHz, return loss 13.3955, gain 2.71 and VSWR 1.5. the simulated radiation pattern agrees well with measured radiation pattern that is omnidirectional. Keywords : Keywords : wireless, omnidirectional, VSWR, prototype
