This paper discusses about creation Directories Surfing Locations in West Sumatera. The purpose of this paper is to describe directories surfing locations in West Sumatra. The method used is: observation, interview and literature study to find out the surf as well as an explanation of what is contained in surfing locations in West Sumatra. Based on data analysis, summarized as follows. First, based on the findings in the field is known that there are 13 surfing locations in West Sumatra. Locations Â in different cities such as Padang, Pariaman, Pesisir Selatan and Mentawai islands, each location has a characteristic of each. Second, the limitations of the study in the manufacture directory surfing locations in West Sumatra that is making the site plan that was the starting point is the City Padang. Third, because the locations are far enough away from the city of Padang that the authors make the plan as possible so that users can read the information the floor plan.Keyword: Directories, Location, Surfing, West Sumatera.

AbstractThe writing of this paper aims to discuss Static Archive Security and Rescue in the Archives and Library Services of Sumatra Province. This study aims to; (1) Describe the security of static archives in the Department of Archives and Library of West Sumatra Province. (2) Describe the static archive rescue at the West Sumatra Province Archives and Library Service. (3) Describe the obstacles to static safety and rescue in the Department of Archives and Library of West Sumatra Province. (4) Describe efforts in static safety and rescue in the Department of Archives and Library of West Sumatra Province. The method used is descriptive method. Data was collected through observation and direct interviews with officers in the Archives and Library Service of West SumatraProvince. Based on the results of the research, Static Archive Safety and Rescue in the Archives and Library Service of West Sumatra Province are as follows: First, physical security and rescue of archives in the Archives and Library Service of West Sumatra Province is carried out lamination process, fumigation regulates moisture/dryness and air temperature room. In order to secure and record static archives in terms of information, it can be done by controlling every person who will access the static archive must go through a predetermined procedure, store static files in a special room that is maintained. The two constraints faced in securing and rescuing the static archive of the Archives and Libraries of West Sumatra Province are the lack of human resources in securing and holding static archives, the lack of adequate infrastructure for securing and rescuing static archives and lack of awareness of Opd and Skpd to report archives static to the Archives and Library Service of West Sumatra Province.The three efforts made to overcome the obstacles faced in securing and saving the static archive of the Archives and Library Service of West Sumatra Province by providing training programs and apprenticeship staff to national archives. Then complete and maintain facilities and infrastructure to secure and record static archives and send letters to OPD and SKPD to submit static files to them to the Archives and Libraries of West Sumatra Province.Keyword:Â static archive of the Archives and Library Service of West Sumatra Province

Writing this article aims to: (1) determine the existing facilities and infrastructure in the library SMPN 1 Batang Anai and (2) the effect of library facilities and infrastructure to the interest of students visit the library at SMPN 1 Batang Anai. The research method is done through a descriptive study using a quantitative approach. Data was collected through observation by direct observation, whereas for the interview addressed to the head of the library, for the writers questionnaire submitted to 90 students SMP N 1 Batang Anai school year 2014/2015 the study sample. Based on analyzing the data we can conclude (1) infrastructure library of SMP N 1 Batang Anai still inadequate. It can be seen from the vast size of the building is not in accordance with the provisions of the National Library in 1998/1999, as well as the lack of equipment needed; (2) the facilities and infrastructure that exist in the library SMPN 1 Batang Anai greatly affect students' interest, it can be seen from most of the respondents (61.11%) stated that the cause of lazy students visit the library because the library facilities and infrastructure that have not adequate, such as less comfortable library room and stifling. This paper discussed about the attitude in serving the library manager disabilities in school library (SLB) Batusangkar City. This study aims to: (1) to describe services in serving the library manager disabilities in school library (SLB) Batusangkar City; (2) to describe the obstacles faced in serving the library manager disabilities in school library (SLB) Batusangkar City; (3) to describe what efforts were made to overcome the obstacles encountered in serving the library manager disabilities in the school library (SLB) Batusangkar City. Data was collected through observation/ interview and literature study. Interviews with library managers and principals School (SLB) Batusangkar City. Data analysis be done in descriptive. Based on analyzing the data, it was concluded the following matters. First, the service manager in the service user library disabilities such as; (1) visually impaired;Â library managers to guide and give direction blind users according to the information he wants, (2) the Deaf; library management serving the deaf to communicate using sign language, manual communication, body language and lip. and, (3) quadriplegic, the library serves quadriplegic to help pick up a book or find the desired information. Second, the difficulties faced in serving the library manager disabilities in school library (SLB) Batusangkar City, namely: (1) the lack of facilities and infrastructure; (2) funds; (3) Human Resources (HR). This article discusses the existence of Youth Services to Improve Adolescent Reading Interest at the Library and Archives of West Sumatra province. This article aims to describe: (1) the existence of juvenile services for improving adolescent reading, (2) problems were found in the increase reading adolescents in juvenile services, and (3) efforts to be made to overcome the obstacles in improving adolescent reading in adolescent services. Data collected through observation, interviews, and literature. Analyzing data descriptively. By analyzing the data, it was concluded the following. First, the presence of juvenile services has not been put to good use by library users, especially for teenagers library users junior high, high school, and Students; Second, problems were found to increase reading in adolescents; Third, efforts should be made to overcome the obstacles in improving adolescent reading. AbstractThe purpose of this study were to (1) describe ability information literacy visitors in SMK Negeri 2 Pariamanâ€™s library, (2) describe application of information literacy in library SMK Negeri 2 Pariaman. Collecting was done interview and observation. Analyzing data is done descriptively. Based on data analysis, it was concluded that information literacy ability of visitors in SMK Negeri 2 Pariamanâ€™s library is very less, it canÂ be seem from some ability as follows: (1) students have formulated the problem before looking for information, (2) students are more likely to access information from the internet, (3) students are still lacking in the ability to evaluate information and sources critically, (4) students are still lacking in the ability to process information into a new knowledge, (5) students have not specified the source of information used. The application of information literacy can be done in SMK Negeri 2 Pariamanâ€™s libarary that is by user education and reading reward.Keyword: literacy, information, library

The purpose of this paper to help visitor and librarian at the Preservation institute and Cultural Values of West Sumatra to investigate an information or retrieval information. In the production of this paper we describe the stages of productionannotated bibliography Journal Minanngkabau Suluah with the subject in theCentral Library and the preservation of Cultural Values of West Sumatra. This paper uses descriptive research method that aims to create a description,representation or illustration in a systematic, factual and accurate information onthe facts, nature and the relationship between the phenomenon investigated.Stages of Creation bibliography are: 1) determination of the object of studykeminagkabauan title; 2) the collection of material objects in Suluahkeminangkabauan Journal; 3) the selection of library materials; 4) Typing objectmaterial keminangkabauan in Journal Suluah; 5) grouping or classification; 5)indexing; 7) inspection of the final manuscript bibliography. the obstacle inwriting of bibliography are: 1) Library and Cultural Values Preservation HallWest Sumatra has a narrow room, less in infrastructure and materials andcollections that much; 2) a search of materials not in accordance with theconsecutive years; 3) Wasting time; 4) understand about the differenciate betweenin Minangkabau word and West Sumatra words ; 5) Typing is concerned. This paper aims to describe the technique of making encyclopedias procession in traditional ceremony of marriage in Tarusan Pesisir Selatan. The method used is descriptive research method with data collection technique through interview. Data collection through interviews was conducted with traditional leaders in Pesisir Selatan. Based on the discussion, it can be concluded that the stages in making encyclopedias procession in traditional ceremony of marriage in South Coastal Tarusan as follows: (1) data collection, (2) making cover, (3) making of introduction, (4) making table of contents,(5)making index.Keyword: ceremony, encyclopedia, marriage, procession.

This paper discusses about informational browsing media in UPT Perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Hatta Bukittinggi the purpose of this paper are: to describe; (1) how is informational browsing device. is in UPT. Perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Hatta Bukittinggi; (2) is there is any problem that UPT. Perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Hatta Bukittinggi face in providing informational browsing media; (3) is there is any effort that UPT. perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Hatta Bukittinggi do in facing any problem in providing informational browsing media in UPT. perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Hatta Bukitinggi. The writing methods of this paper are descriptive methods, data gathered by observatioan way, interviewing and library studying. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded: first, UPT. perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Hatta Bukittinggi use OPAC (Online Public Acces Catalogue) as a browsing device, as acatalogue, bibliography, index and abstract that have been changed into digital or electronical form. Ofserasises UPT. perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Hatta Bukittinggi media by using ILMS program ( Integrated Library Management system) eithers in circulation service, guess book and OPAC informational browsing media. Second, problem found are; (1) unconrected web to internet and electrical down; (2) lack of human resource with library background; (3) lack of use knowledge with the using of browsing device,third, efforts to do: (1) increase the wifi speed and use generator set machine to anticipate electrical down; (2) add some librarians into the member of library who have library background and; (3) do some library guideness to the member of library so librarians could use browsingmedia that avaible in that library.Keywords: information retrieval; OPAC

This paper discussed on Standard Operating Procedures of procurement of library materials in the Library of the Institute of Technology Padang. This study aims to (1) describe the SOP procurement of library materials in the Library of the Institute of Technology Padang, (2) mendiskripskan constraints found in the application of SOP procurement of library materials at the Institute of Technology Padang, and (3) describe efforts to overcome obstacles in the implementation of SOP procurement of library materials in the library of the Institute of Technology Padang. This research uses descriptive method. ie the data collected through observation, interviews, and study documents in the Library of the Institute of Technology Padang (ITP). Based on the results of this study concluded the following things; First, the application of SOP procurement of library materials in the Library Technology Institus Padang has not done well. Second, the obstacles encountered in the implementation of SOP as follows: (1) some employees have not implemented the SOP in ITP Library; (2) the existence of human error. Third, efforts are being made to overcome the obstacles, namely: (1) the library should seek the presence of a sosiolisasikan SOP procurement of library materials to officers who do not know the SOP in the Library ITP (2) human error due to feeling bored and not in the spirit.Keyword: standar operasional prosedur, pengadaan, bahan pustaka
