Abstract

This study aimed to determine changes in the level of anxiety and the level of dependency Activity Daily Living ( ADL ) after cognitive therapy in patients with mental disorders. This research method is Quasi Experiment study, pretest and posttest mean cognitive design.Therapy can reduce the level of anxiety, while not statistically significant for patients with mental disorders at the Hospital Grhasia DIY. As for the fulfillment ADL disorders in patients with mental disorders either average or of calculation is statistically significantly may improve fulfillment ADL independently. The results study can suggested to readers that: Hospitals should promote cognitive therapy for patients with depression and anxiety disorder ADL compliance.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine differences in job satisfactionof nurses in three rooms with a nursing care delivery system by themethod of PNPM, Preparation and non PNPM PNPM GrhasiaHospital Yogyakarta. The method used was a cross sectional studywith comparative descriptive approach. The results show that nursesat PNPM is largely at the level of job satisfaction is high (77.78%).Meanwhile, in the preparation of non-PNPM PNPM and 100% ofnurses are in high satisfaction rates. The statistical results showed nodifference in job satisfaction between PNPM, PNPM preparation,and non PNPM.

Abstract

Background: Sleman District Government through the Child Friendly City (Kota Layak Anak/KLA) has a child-friendly school program in the form of inclusive school. The implementation of inclusive education in Indonesia has not met the current standard. There has been no further study regarding the behavior of children with special needs in inclusive schools and how teacher handle their behaviors in Sleman. Therefore, research on the experience of classroom teachers in finding and handling behavior of children with special needs in inclusive primary school of Sleman Regency is important.Objective: To describe the experience of classroom teachers in finding and handling behavior of children with special needs in inclusive primary school Sleman Regency.Method: This research was qualitative with phenomenology approach. The subjects were six class teachers, six parents/guardians, and two education-office civil servants whom were selected by purposive sampling method. Data obtained from the results of in-depth interviews were processed using content analysis.Result: Children with special needs had several behavioral problems, i.e: internalizing problems in the form of anxiety, somatic disorder, and withdrawal; externalizing issues (behavior) in the form of aggressive behavior, and destructive behavior; other behavioral problems such as attention disorder, thought problem, and social problem. The handling of children with special needs at school was based on the strategy of the school and its classroom teacher.Conclusion: There are five themes in this research that are internalizing (emotion) children with special needs, externalizing (behavioral) problem of children with special needs, other behavior problem, classroom teacher strategy in handling children with special needs behavior, and school strategy in handling children with special needs behavior.ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Pemerintah Kabupaten Sleman melalui program Kota Layak Anak (KLA) mempunyai program sekolah ramah anak yang diimplementasikan dalam sekolah inklusi. Pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusi di Indonesia masih belum memenuhi standar yang ada. Belum ada kajian lebih lanjut mengenai sekolah inklusi di Kabupaten Sleman khususnya mengenai perilaku Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) di sekolah inklusi dan bagaimana penanganan perilaku yang telah dilakukan guru di sekolah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian tentang pengalaman guru kelas dalam menemukan perilaku pada anak berkebutuhan khusus dan penanganannya di sekolah dasar inklusi Kabupaten Sleman, penting untuk dilakukan.Tujuan: Mengetahui pengalaman guru kelas dalam menemukan perilaku pada anak berkebutuhan khusus dan penanganannya di sekolah dasar inklusi Kabupaten Sleman.Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian adalah 6 guru kelas, 6 orang tua/wali, dan 2 pegawai dinas yang dipilih dengan purposive sampling. Data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara mendalam. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis konten.Hasil: ABK mempunyai beberapa masalah perilaku, yaitu masalah internalizing (emosi) yang meliputi kecemasan, gangguan somatis, dan menarik diri; masalah externalizing (perilaku) yang meliputi perilaku agresif dan perilaku merusak; serta masalah perilaku lainnya, seperti gangguan perhatian, masalah pemikiran, dan masalah sosial. Penanganan ABK di sekolah dilakukan berdasarkan strategi dari sekolah dan yang dilakukan oleh guru kelas.Kesimpulan: Terdapat lima tema dalam penelitian ini, yaitu masalah internalizing (emosi) ABK, masalah externalizing (perilaku) ABK, masalah perilaku lainnya, strategi guru kelas dalam penanganan perilaku ABK, dan strategi sekolah dalam penanganan perilaku ABK.

Abstract

Background: Not much is known about the impact of health education in reducing anxiety levels in pre-cataract surgery patients in Indonesia.Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of counseling and lecture methods using leaflet in reducing anxiety levels  among pre-cataract surgery patients in Central Java, Indonesia.Methods: This was quasi experiment with pretest- posttest design with two comparative groups at two hospitals in November 2014. It was 70 preoperative cataract patients selected using total sampling, which 35 randomly assigned to intervention group 1 and intervention group 2. The Analog Anxiety Scale (AAS) was used to measure anxiety levels. Data were analyzed using paired t-test and independent t-test.Results: There was a significant effect of health education using counseling and lecture method with leaflet media in reducing anxiety levels among preoperative cataract patients (p=.001). A counseling method was more effective than lecture method in dealing with anxiety levels (p=.001).Conclusion: Findings of this study can be used as a basis for development of nursing intervention in the hospital setting to reduce the anxiety levels among pre-cataract surgery patients.

Abstract

The increasing use of traditional medicines derived from natural ingredients is increasingly being attracted by the community, so that many traditional medicine UMKM have emerged, especially at the Micro Traditional Medicine (UMOT) level. This service aims to assist UMOT in the City of Ternate in gradually fulfilling CPOTB aspects to obtain BPOM permits. The service method is carried out in several stages, namely the socialization of the application of CPOTB, guidance on the preparation of CPOTB documents, assistance for the application of CPOTB and registration assistance to obtain phase I CPOTB certificates. This service resulted in several advances in UMOT Qonita Production, namely the completion of phase 1 CPOTB documents to carry out online registration.

Abstract

The home industry for coconut jam and VCO in Moiso village does not yet have a PIRT number so that the marketing of these two products is still limited. This is because they do not have knowledge related to PIRT management. Assistance is needed from parties who understand this. In the management of PIRT, there are stages of food safety education. Food safety education was attended by the home industry coordinator and his team. In this counseling material was presented on food safety, food packaging and labeling, the application of CPPB and food processing technology. There are pre-test and post-test at the beginning and end of the activity to assess participants' mastery before and after being given food safety education. The results of the counseling show that home industries are entitled to PIRT with several improvements to level 1 or 2. Several things need to be improved, including improving the position of the production site so that it is not close to the WC, storage areas for materials and tools to be more organized, sources of clean water for more production guaranteed continuity. Moiso's home industry has received a Food Safety certificate from the West Halmahera Health Office.

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Stigma dapat menyebabkan kegagalan atau keterlambatan dalam menangani ataumendiagnosis HIV dan AIDS. Salah satu visi UNAIDS ialah zero stigma. Perawat harus mampumemberikan pelayanan keperawatan bebas stigma dan diskriminasi. Isu nasional yang disarankan olehHPEQ (2012) kepada institusi penyelenggara pendidikan keperawatan 20 persen di antaranya tentangperawatan HIV/AIDS. Namun, terdapat keterbatasan alat ukur kuantitatif untuk mengkaji manifestasistigma terkait HIV/AIDS pada mahasiswa keperawatan. Tujuan: Melakukan pengembangan instrumendengan adaptasi cross cultural dan uji validasi skala stigma sesuai dengan budaya mahasiswa ProgramStudi Ilmu Keperawatan Universitas Gadjah Mada. Instrumen ini merupakan adaptasi SHASS yangdikembangkan oleh Diaz dan Neilands (2009). Metode: Deskriptif dengan desain cross sectional,melibatkan 77 responden, dilakukan bulan Juli–September 2015. Uji validitas dengan product moment,uji reliabilitas dengan menggunakan Cronbach’s Alpha. Hasil: 11 domain stigma HIV/AIDS yang terdiriatas 39 pertanyaan menunjukan valid dan reliable dengan nilai r >0,2 dan nilai alpha > 0,7. Diskusi:Pengembangan instrumen dengan adaptasi cross cultural mempunyai beberapa kelebihan; penelitimelakukan adaptasi dan modifi kasi dari instrumen yang sudah pernah dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitassebelumnya di negara lain. Keterbatasan penelitian ini hanya melibatkan mahasiswa ilmu keperawatan.Kesimpulan: Skala stigma terkait HIV/AIDS adaptasi dari Spanish HIV Stigma Scale (SHASS) dapatdigunakan sebagai instrumen kuantitatif pada mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Keperawatan.Kata Kunci: cross cultural, stigma HIV/AIDS, mahasiswa ilmu keperawatan.ABSTRACTBackground: Stigma can lead to failure or delay in handling or diagnosing HIV and AIDS. However, there are limitations on quantitative instruments to assess themanifestation of HIV/AIDS-related stigma in students nursing. Objectives: To develop an instrumentby employing cross-cultural adaptation and validity test for stigma scale in accordance with the cultureof students of Nursing Science Program, Universitas Gadjah Mada. This instrument is an adaptation ofSHASS developed by Diaz and Neilands (2009). Methods: This study employed descriptive method withcross sectional design. It involved 77 respondents and was conducted from July to September 2015. Thevalidity test employed product moment and the reliability test employed Cronbach’s Alpha. Results: 11domains of HIV/AIDS-related stigma, which consisted of 39 questions, indicated that the instrument wasvalid and reliable with an r value of >0.2 and an alpha value of>0.7. Discussion: The development of aninstrument by employing cross-cultural adaptation has several advantages; the researchers adapted toand modifi ed instruments of which their validity and reliability were previously tested in other countries.A limitation of this study is that it only involved students of nursing science. Conclusion: HIV/AIDSrelated stigma scale adapted from the Spanish HIV Stigma Scale (SHASS) can be used as a quantitativeinstrument in students of Nursing Science Program.Keywords: cross-cultural, HIV/AIDS-related stigma, students of nursing science.

Abstract

ABSTRAKStigma merupakan salah satu kondisi yang menyebabkan kegagalan atau keterlambatan dalam menangani atau mendiagnosis HIV dan AIDS. Tujuan Penelitian: Mengidentifikasi stigma dan membandingkan efektivitas workshop serta kuliah terstandar terhadap stigma HIV/AIDS pada mahasiswa keperawatan. Metode: Penelitian merupakan quasi eksperimen dengan pre post test design with control group dilakukan terhadap 82 mahasiswa PSIK UGM semester 3 dan 5, terbagi menjadi 42 mahasiswa sebagai kelompok workshop dan 40 mahasiswa sebagai kelompok kuliah terstandar. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan menggunakan kuesioner skala stigma HIV/AIDS. Data dianalisis menggunakan chi square, unpaired t test dan paired t test. Hasil: Stigma terkait HIV/AIDS pada mahasiswa keperawatan berada pada kategori stigma tinggi (50%). Pada preintervensi tidak terdapat perbedaan stigma antara dua kelompok. Tidak terdapat efek intervensi workshop dan kuliah terstandar terhadap stigma terkait HIV/AIDS (masing-masing p > 0,05). Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna pada perubahan domain pada kelompok workshop dibandingkan kelompok kuliah terstandar berdasarkan nilai mean yang didapatkan (p < 0,05). Diskusi: Banyaknya responden yang memiliki stigma tinggi menunjukkan adanya stigma eksternal terhadap ODHA. Kebijakan yang dibuat oleh perawat yang mendapatkan banyak pelatihan tentang HIV dan AIDS mempunyai prejudice lebih rendah daripada koleganya yang mempunyai lebih sedikit pelatihan. Workshop lebih dapat menurunkan stigma daripada intervensi kuliah terstandar karena workshop merupakan intervensi pembelajaran aktif yang tidak hanya melibatkan kognitif, tetapi juga perilaku yang dapat membangun rasa percaya diri untuk megubah perilakunya. Kesimpulan: Intervensi workshop lebih dapat menurunkan stigma daripada intervensi kuliah terstandar. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, pengambilan data post-intervensi sebaiknya dilakukan dengan memberikan jeda waktu dengan memperhatikan retensi informasi pada responden.Kata Kunci: HIV/AIDS, keperawatan, kuliah, mahasiswa, stigma, workshop A Comparison of the Effectiveness of Workshops and Standard Lectures in Reducing HIV/AIDS Stigma Among Nursing Students ABSTRACTStigma is one condition that leads to failure or delay in addressing or diagnosing HIV and AIDS. Objective: To identify stigma and compare the effectiveness of workshops and standard lectures on HIV/AIDS stigma among nursing students. Methods: The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post test design and a control group, conducted on 82 third and fifth-semester students of the Nursing Science Study Program UGM, divided into 42 students as the workshop group and 40 as the standard lecture group. The research was conducted over three months using an HIV/AIDS stigma scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Chi-Square, unpaired t-test, and paired t-test. Results: HIV/AIDS-related stigma among nursing students was in the high stigma category (50%). Prior to the intervention, there was no difference in stigma between the two groups. There was no intervention effect of workshops and standard lectures on HIV/AIDS-related stigma (both p>0.05). There was a significant difference in the change in domains between the workshop group and the standard lecture group based on the mean values obtained (p<0.05). Discussion: The high number of respondents with high stigma indicates external stigma towards PLWHA. Policies made by nurses who receive extensive training on HIV and AIDS have lower prejudice compared to their colleagues with less training. Workshops can reduce stigma more effectively than standard lecture interventions because workshops are active learning interventions that involve not only cognition but also behavior, which can build self-confidence to change behavior. Conclusion: Workshop interventions can reduce stigma more effectively than standard lecture interventions. Post-intervention data should be collected with a time gap for future research, considering respondents' information retention.Keywords: HIV/AIDS, Nursing, Lecture, Students, Stigma, Workshop

Abstract

"> ABSTRAKTujuan Penelitian: mengetahui pola pengambilan keputusan suami-istri keluarga petani dalammenentukan jumlah keluarga ideal. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, pengambilandata dilakukan dengan mengadakan wawancara mendalam semiterstruktur dengan partisipanpenelitian. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah suami-istri keluarga petani yang hanya memiliki duaanak perempuan dan yang memiliki anak empat. Pengambilan data dilakukan tanggal 1 sampaidengan 30 Oktober 2015 di Desa Sobangan, Kecamatan Mengwi, Kabupaten Badung, ProvinsiBali. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode Colaizzi. Hasil: Pola pengambilan keputusanuntuk menentukan jumlah keluarga ideal dipengaruhi oleh budaya pentingnya anak laki-laki untukmeneruskan keturunan dan adat Bali, pertimbangan kelayakan hidup, dan keinginan melestarikanbudaya Bali. Proses pengambilan keputusan suami-istri keluarga petani selalu melalui prosesperundingan antara suami dan istri untuk menentukan jumlah keluarga ideal. Diskusi: Keluargapetani yang hanya memiliki anak perempuan akan terlebih dahulu berusaha memperoleh anak lakilaki, baru setelah itu melakukan upacara nyentana, yakni pernikahan adat dengan meminang anaklaki-laki untuk tinggal di keluarga perempuan. Simpulan: Pola pengambilan keputusan suami-istrikeluarga petani dalam menentukan jumlah keluarga ideal pengaruhi oleh pentingnya anak lakilaki untuk meneruskan keturunan dan adat Bali, pertimbangan kelayakan hidup dan keinginananmelestarikan budaya Bali.Kata Kunci: pengambilan keputusan, keluarga petani, jumlah keluarga ideal, masyarakat patrilinealBali.ABSTRACTObjective: This study aimed to identify the pattern of decision making by married couples offarmer family in determining an ideal family size. Methods: The study was qualitative. Data werecollected by conducting in-depth semi-structured interviews with participants. Participants in thisstudy were married couples of farmer family who only had two daughters and had four children.Data were collected between 1 and 30 October 2015 at Sobangan Village, Mengwi Subdistrict, Badung District, Bali Province. Data were analyzed using Colaizzi’s method. Results: The pattern ofdecision-making to determine the ideal number of families was affected by the culture of the importance of male child to continue Balinese generation and customs, consideration of proper necessities of life and willingness to preserve Balinese culture. The decision making process by marriedcouples of farmer family was always through a process of negotiation between them to determinethe ideal family size. Discussion: Farmer family who only had female children would attempt tohave male children, then after that they held nyentana ceremony, a wedding custom to propose amale child to live in their family. Conclusion: The pattern of decision-making by married couplesof farmer family in determining the ideal family size was in fl uenced by the importance of malechildren to continue Balinese generation and customs, consideration of proper necessities of lifeand willingness to preserve Balinese culture.Keywords: decision-making, farmer family, ideal family size, patrilineal society of Bali.

Abstract

Patients with chronic kidney disease who undergo hemodialysis may feel anxiety and experience insomnia. Anxiety is one of the factors that affects insomnia in patients with chronic kidney disease. One of the nursing interventions to reduce patient anxiety and insomnia is psychoeducation. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of psychoeducation to reduce anxiety and insomnia in patients with chronic kidney failure treated in the hemodialysis unit. This was a quasi-experimental research using pre-test and post-test design with control group. The total sample was 54 respondents using a convenience sampling technique. Insomnia was measured using the Insomnia Severity Index questionnaire and anxiety was measured using the Zung Self Rating Anxiety Scale questionnaire. Psychoeducation intervention was carried out within three weeks. The results showed there were differences of anxiety score in the intervention group (p<0.001) and control group (p=0.022). There were differences of insomnia score in the intervention group (p<0.001) and control group (p=0.029). The results of multivariate test showed that the factors significantly related to anxiety were age and comorbidity. Psychoeducation using booklets was effective to reduce anxiety and insomnia of patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis.
