Abstract

This study aims to develop Indonesian language teaching materials based on news writing for grade XI vocational high school (SMK) students. The approach used is descriptive-qualitative with a case study method conducted at SMK Vancanity Pacet Cianjur, integrating digital literacy, character value development, and project-based learning approaches. Data were collected through curriculum review, teaching material analysis, trial implementation at SMK Vancanity Pacet Cianjur, and evaluation based on questionnaires and interviews. The results show that the development of instructional materials that are adaptive to the Merdeka Curriculum enhances students’ factual literacy, 21st-century skills, and social responsibility. Emphasis on the integration of digital technology, such as creating vlogs and news posters, increases the attractiveness and relevance of the material. Recommendations are directed at strengthening effective lead writing practices, using professional online media, and developing interactive instructional materials.

Abstract

This study develops an ethnopedagogical learning model for Indonesian Language and Literature by utilizing the cultural values embedded in the oral tradition Dongdonan Salapan Wali Puhun as a primary learning resource. The main objective is to produce a valid, practical, and effective learning model to enhance cultural literacy, text comprehension skills, and character formation among Grade VI students at SDN Mandalajaya, Balegede Village, Naringgul Subdistrict, Cianjur Regency. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the Borg & Gall model, streamlined into seven stages: needs analysis, cultural value exploration of Dongdonan, model design, expert validation, limited trial implementation, model revision, and wider field testing. The needs analysis revealed a low utilization of local cultural resources in Indonesian language instruction, despite the students’ social environment remaining closely connected to the cultural practices of Miduana Indigenous Village. The cultural value study identified that Dongdonan Salapan Wali Puhun contains nine symbolic entities that embody values such as leadership, purity, wisdom, courage, fertility, and ecological ethics—attributes aligned with the Profile of Pancasila Students. Expert validation indicated high feasibility in terms of content, construct, language, and pedagogical aspects. Both limited and extensive trials demonstrated improvements in students’ text comprehension, creativity, cooperation, and motivation to learn Indonesian. The study concludes that integrating Dongdonan Salapan Wali Puhun into an ethnopedagogical learning model is effective in strengthening students’ cultural literacy and character development. The developed model is applicable in rural elementary schools with similar cultural contexts and is recommended as an educational innovation supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan model Project-Based Learning (PjBL) yang berbasis video TikTok sebagai sumber belajar guna meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII E SMPN 3 Mande. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen jenis pretest-posttest control group. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar tes menulis teks deskripsi dengan indikator penilaian yang mencakup: (1) struktur teks, (2) kaidah kebahasaan, dan (3) kejelasan isi dalam menggambarkan objek. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang memperoleh perlakuan berupa model PjBL berbasis video Tik Tok dan kelompok kontrol yang tidak mendapatkan perlakuan yang sama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara hasil belajar kedua kelompok. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann–Whitney mengungkapkan bahwa penerapan model PjBL berbasis video Tik Tok memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa.

Abstract

menggunakan Ejaan yang Disempurnakan (EYD) pada siswa kelas X SMK Ar-Rahmah Cianjur. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitaif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes, observasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan siswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan flash card. Nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 63,4 meningkat menjadi 90 pada posttest dengan N-Gain Score 0,81 atau 81,30%, yang termasuk kategori tinggi. Data observasi pembelajaran memperoleh persentase 90%, menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru dan siswa selama pembelajaran berlangsung sangat baik. Sementara itu, hasil angket yang mencapai rata-rata 91% mengindikasikan bahwa siswa memberikan respon positif dan menilai flash card sebagai media yang efektif dan menarik

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms, functions, and causal factors of code switching and code mixing in the interpretation of Sundanese into Indonesian during the learning process at SDN Sukahurip. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with observation, interview, and documentation methods to gain a deep understanding of the linguistic phenomena that occur in learning interactions. The research data sources are teacher and student speech during teaching and learning activities involving the use of two languages, namely Sundanese and Indonesian. Data collection was carried out through observation techniques using observation guidelines assisted by mobile phone recordings, semi-structured interviews with teachers, and documentation studies in the form of field notes and transcription of speech data. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the forms of code switching that emerged include internal and external code switching, while the forms of code mixing include the insertion of words, phrases, and clauses. The main function of using code switching and code mixing in learning is to clarify meaning, create emotional closeness between teachers and students, and adjust the social context in learning interactions. The causal factors include the language habits of teachers and students, the learning situation, and the communicative purpose in the process of delivering the material. Thus, code switching and code mixing can play a role as pedagogical strategies in supporting the effectiveness of communication and understanding of concepts in bilingual learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the improvement in the pedagogical skills of Indonesian language teachers through ADDIE training in implementing in-depth learning in assisted schools. The method used was an explanatory sequential experimental design, with a sample of 20 teachers (10 in the experimental group, 10 in the control group) in Cianjur Regency. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The ADDIE training was conducted over five days, encompassing needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The experimental group's results showed a significant improvement (mean post-test score of 88, p < 0.05) compared to the control group, with teachers able to design contextual and enjoyable learning. Educational institutions need to provide digital resources and increase the frequency of mentoring to support the sustainability of the training, as well as examine the long-term impact on student achievement.Keywords: competence; pedagogy; training; in-depth learning Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan pedagogik guru bahasa Indonesia melalui pelatihan model ADDIE dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran mendalam di sekolah dampingan. Metode yang digunakan desain eksperimen sekuensial eksplanatori dengan 20 guru sebagai sampel (10 kelompok eksperimen, 10 kelompok kontrol) di Kabupaten Cianjur. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes, kuesioner, wawancara, dan observasi. Pelatihan ADDIE dilaksanakan selama lima hari, mencakup analisis kebutuhan, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan (rata-rata skor post-test 88, p < 0.05) dibandingkan kelompok kontrol, dengan guru mampu merancang pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan menyenangkan. Institusi pendidikan perlu menyediakan sumber daya digital dan meningkatkan frekuensi pendampingan untuk mendukung keberlanjutan pelatihan, serta meneliti dampak jangka panjang terhadap prestasi siswa.Kata kunci: kompetensi; pedagogik; pelatihan; pembelajaran mendalam

Abstract

This article will describe the politeness of the Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) in the translation of Surah Taha, verses 43–56 of the Qur'an. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, using Leech's theory of politeness. The research instrument used six maxims of politeness. Data were collected through a study of translated texts of the Qur'an. The results show that the politeness of the Prophet Moses' dialogue reflects a communication practice full of submission, gentleness, and wisdom. The six maxims of politeness appear in various forms of speech, such as humble requests, gentle commands, and greetings containing respect. These findings were then used as the basis for developing teaching materials for 11th-grade students that are deemed appropriate, applicable, and capable of shaping students' language character, particularly in delivering lectures. This study recommends that the values of politeness in the stories of the prophets can be used as a reference in the development of Indonesian language teaching materials, to support meaningful, contextual, and character-based learning.Keywords: teaching materials; language; politeness; Prophet Moses Abstrak Artikel ini akan mendeskripsikan kesantunan berbahasa Nabi Musa Alaihi Salam dalam terjemahan Al-Qur’an Surah Taha ayat 43–56. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teori kesantunan dari Leech. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan enam prinsip maksim kesantunan. Data dikumpulkan melalui kajian teks terjemah Al-Qur’an. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesantunan berbahasa dalam dialog Nabi Musa mencerminkan praktik komunikasi yang penuh ketundukan, kelembutan, dan kebijaksanaan. Keenam maksim kesantunan muncul dalam berbagai bentuk tuturan, seperti permohonan yang merendah, perintah yang lembut, dan sapaan yang mengandung penghormatan. Temuan ini kemudian dijadikan dasar dalam penyusunan bahan ajar siswa kelas XI yang dipandang layak, aplikatif, dan mampu membentuk karakter siswa dalam berbahasa, khususnya dalam menyampaikan ceramah. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar nilai-nilai kesantunan dalam kisah para nabi dapat dijadikan rujukan dalam pengembangan bahan ajar Bahasa Indonesia, guna mendukung pembelajaran yang bermakna, kontekstual, dan berbasis karakter.Kata Kunci: bahan ajar; berbahasa; kesantunan; Nabi Musa

Abstract

This article will explain the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model supported by TikTok in developing expository writing skills in grade 10 students at MA Al-Falah Sukabumi. The background of this study is based on students' low writing skills, particularly in terms of text structure and use of linguistic rules. The approach used was a quasi-experimental with a pretest–posttest control group design. A total of 40 students were sampled and divided into two groups: the experimental group and the control group. Data collection techniques included the use of learning modules, observations, tests, and questionnaires. The results showed a significant increase in posttest scores of students in the experimental group compared to the control group. The average pretest score of 80.20 increased to 98.00 in the posttest, an increase of 22.20%. The t-test results showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, the TikTok-based PBL model proved effective in improving the expository writing skills of grade 10 students at MA Al-Falah.Keywords: writing; expository text; PBL; TikTok Abstrak Artikel ini akan memaparkan efektivitas penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang didukung media TikTok dalam mengembangkan kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi pada siswa kelas X MA Al-Falah Sukabumi. Latar belakang studi ini didasari oleh rendahnya keterampilan menulis siswa, khususnya dalam hal struktur teks dan penggunaan kaidah kebahasaan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest–posttest control group. Sebanyak 40 siswa dijadikan sampel dan dibagi ke dalam dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup penggunaan modul pembelajaran, observasi, tes, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada skor posttest siswa di kelompok eksperimen jika dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 80,20 meningkat menjadi 98,00 pada posttest, mengalami peningkatan sebesar 22,20%. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Dengan demikian, model PBL berbasis TikTok terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas X MA Al-Falah.Kata Kunci: menulis; teks eksposisi; PBL;  TikTok

Abstract

The ability to write short stories is one of the important competencies in learning Indonesian, but in reality, many students still experience difficulties in developing intrinsic elements of short stories such as plot, characters, conflict, and effective use of language. Based on the results of initial observations in grade IX of Budhi Mulia Integrated Junior High School, it was found that students' short story writing skills were in the poor category, with an average score of 59.8, and only 28% of students achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). This condition indicates the need for learning strategies that can significantly improve students' creativity, motivation, and writing skills. Therefore, this study aims to improve short story writing skills through the application of the Cooperative Learning method assisted by the educational video "7 Habits of Great Indonesian Children." This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis and McTaggart model which was implemented in two cycles. The research instruments included short story writing tests, student and teacher activity observation sheets, interview guidelines, and documentation. Data were analyzed using quantitative analysis techniques in the form of calculating the average test results and the percentage of learning completion. The results showed a significant increase in short story writing skills. The average student score increased from 59.8 (pretest) to 72.4 in cycle I, and increased again to 80.2 in cycle II. The percentage of learning completion also increased from 28% to 76%, and finally reached 92% in cycle II. Educational videos were proven to help students understand character values and explore ideas, while the Cooperative Learning model increased group interaction, discussion, and creativity. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Cooperative Learning method assisted by educational videos is effective in improving the short story writing skills of grade IX students.
