Abstract

This study on the implementation of dance education in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum for Grade 4 at SDN Gedongan 01 is studied from the perspective of holistic arts education. The main thing studied is the integration of the implementation of holistic arts education within the framework of the new curriculum. This study aims to describe dance arts learning in improving students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills. Using a qualitative case study methodology, data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis involving dance educators and Grade 4 students. Based on the study, it was found that a holistic approach to dance education contributed significantly to students' physical alignment, strength, balance, and self-control, which is in line with the principle of holistic education that integrates mind, body, and soul. This approach not only improves dance movement skills but also improves students' self-confidence, cooperation, and communication skills, which provides a strong model for arts education in elementary schools. The implications of this study are to provide important information for teachers in terms of the benefits of holistic arts education for student development. The researcher's suggestion is that holistic arts education can be further integrated into further efforts by the school.

Abstract

Many schools have not successfully empowered students’ critical thinking skills in science subject learning due to inappropriate learning models. This article aims to describe the impact of the project-based learning (PjBL) model on the critical reasoning skill dimension of P3. This quantitative research method is using quasi-experimental with a Non-equivalent Control Group Design type using a pretest-posttest on the sample class. The selection of the sample class used a multistage random sampling technique. The sample used 73 students, and it consist of 26 experimental class students, 22 control class students, and 26 test class students. This study data were analyzed using paired sample t-test and independent sample ttest. The data had previously met the prerequisite test analysis. The findings indicated a significant positive impact on the benefit of PjBL models toward the critical thinking dimension (on Profil Pelajar Pancasila/ P3) of 4 th -grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of P5 activities of fourth grade students of Bratan 1 Elementary School from a creativity perspective. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and document studies. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of Bratan 1 Elementary School based on purposive sampling subject selection techniques. Data were validated using source and technique triangulation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that students have carried out the creative process stage in P5 activities consisting of preparation, incubation, illumination and verification stages. In the preparation stage, students collect information through various activities such as watching videos, listening to teacher explanations, asking questions, and discussing. In the incubation stage, students reflect on the information they have obtained, reread, and do activities that are not related to the project. In the illumination stage, students begin to find ideas and express them verbally and in writing. In the verification stage, students re-examine the results of their projects and ask for feedback from others.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of differentiated learning in the subject of science and science on the topic of energy in grade IV of SD Negeri Kawatan in the 2024/2025 academic year. Differentiated learning is a form of approach that adapts teaching methods to the interests, needs, and learning styles of students. The research conducted uses a qualitative approach to the case study method. Data were collected through document studies, observations, and interviews which were then analyzed using the interactive analysis model of Miless and Huberman. The results of the study showed that differentiated learning was implemented through three stages, namely: (1) planning, which includes mapping student learning needs through cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessments and compiling teaching tools; (2) implementation, which includes differentiation in content, process, product, and learning environment with learning strategies that vary according to student characteristics; and (3) evaluation, which uses formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning progress and adjust learning strategies. This study concludes that differentiated learning plays an important role in creating inclusive, adaptive, and responsive learning to student diversity.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to determine the profile of class V students' abilities in classifying various Javanese gamelan musical instruments in the city of Surakarta in 2024. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population of this study was fifth grade students of state elementary schools in the city of Surakarta in 2024. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling combined with cluster random sampling. The data collection technique uses multiple choice tests. The validity of this research instrument uses content validity using the Aiken's V formula, while for reliability it uses the Cronbach's Alpha formula. The data analysis technique in this research uses descriptive statistical analysis. This data analysis technique is carried out to find the number, median, mode, standard deviation, minimum and maximum. The results of this research are that the ability of class V students to classify based on how to play and the materials for making Javanese gamelan instruments is in the "low" category with an average score of 69.42 out of a maximum score of 100.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' science learning outcomes in the matter of changes in temperature and shape of objects. This research is a classroom action research conducted for three cycles. The research subjects were teachers and fifth grade students. The data used were qualitative and quantitative data. Sources of data come from teachers and students, research instruments, and the process of implementing learning. Data collection techniques using tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data validity uses triangulation techniques. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification, and uses quantitative statistics. The results showed that the percentage of completeness in cycle I was 46.66% on the cognitive aspect, 87.32% on the affective aspect, and 83.33% on the psychomotor aspect. In cycle II it reached 73.33% cognitive aspects, 91.33% affective aspects, and 95.83% psychomotor aspects. In cycle III it reached 87.50% on the cognitive aspect, 96.15% on the affective aspect, and 100% on the psychomotor aspect. The conclusion of the study is that the use of the guided inquiry learning model can improve science learning outcomes material changes in temperature and the shape of objects in fifth grade students. This research provides theoretical and practical implications for students, namely being able to optimize science learning outcomes by using the guided inquiry learning model and students gain learning experience meaningful because they are directly involved in the learning process.
