Abstract

Pilkada Kota Mataram memerlukan pendekatan yang inovatif dalam komunikasi visual untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan masyarakat. Mutiara, maskot yang dirancang khusus untuk Pilkada Kota Mataram, hadir sebagai simbol yang menggambarkan keindahan, ketulusan, dan nilai-nilai demokrasi yang diusung dalam proses pemilihan kepala daerah. Akan tetapi, bagaimana peran Mutiara sebagai penguat identitas pilkada kota Mataram. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji peran simbol Mutiara dalam maskot pilkada Kota Mataram tahun 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan berlandasan teori semiotika Roland Barthes. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkap peran simbol Mutiara dalam maskot pilkada Kota Mataram tahun 2024, sebagai kekuatan budaya lokal yang indah serta ketulusan Masyarakat dalam mensukseskan pesta demokrasi yang diselenggarakan lima tahunan. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini sebagai refrensi teoritik dalam memahami penguat identitas jenama pilkada.

Abstract

The determination of poverty status in Lombok Utara district depends on criteria such as income, access to health and education services, and housing conditions. These factors are crucial for assessing the level of community welfare and guiding the allocation of social assistance by the district government. The purpose of this study is to address the gap by utilizing advanced data mining techniques to improve the accuracy of poverty status classification in North Lombok, thereby informing more effective social assistance policies. The method used in this research is the Random Forest (RF), K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) and Naïve Bayes with split data 80% data training and 20% data testing. The finding indicated that the machine learning model the RF algorithm, which achieved an accuracy rate of 82.56%, proved to play an important role in this process by effectively distinguishing between different categories of poverty based on these criteria. In comparison, the KNN algorithm achieved an accuracy of 70.94% and the Naïve Bayes model achieved an accuracy of 53.47%. It means that the machine learning model using the RF algorithm has more accurate accuracy than the KNN and Naïve Bayes algorithm in predicting or recommending Recipients of Social Assistance from the District Government. The implication is that RF machine learning can help the role of social service officers in predicting the economic status of the community. The high accuracy of the RF algorithm enhances its role in informing targeted policy decisions and optimizing the effectiveness of social assistance programs. Nonetheless, continuous improvement is essential to refine the model's predictive capabilities and ensure the accuracy and reliability of poverty assessments. These continuous improvements are essential to effectively alleviate poverty and break the cycle of socio-economic disparities in the region.

Abstract

With high deforestation rates, reforestation is important to restore the ecosystem. Forest Smoothie, an international beverage company with the concept of "buying a smoothie equals planting a tree", faced the problem of lack of brand awareness on Instagram. Observation shows that their Instagram feed is monotonous and inconsistent in design, typography, and colour. This research aims to redesign Forest Smoothie's social media promotion with a modern and attractive design, using bright colours, consistent typography, and illustrations that reflect the brand's character. Using the design sprint method, this research went through the understand, diverge, decide, prototype, and validate stages. The result is an Instagram feed template that effectively attracts audience engagement. Validation through questionnaires showed positive responses regarding the recognizable concept, colour, typography readability, consistency, and interaction.

Abstract

The development of online games is in line with advances in computer and network technology, including Web3 which includes the use of Blockchain, smart contracts and decentralization. One company operating in this field is Zabava Labs, located in Singapore, with their flagship product, Sentinel Haven. Although Zabava Labs is active on social media, especially Instagram, the visual image of their feed does not represent the company effectively, which results in low audience engagement and interest. This research aims to design a character mascot that is attractive to young gamers in Indonesia to improve the image and interaction of Zabava Labs on social media. The designed mascot is expected to be able to build the company brand by providing a lasting impression, facilitating effective communication with the audience, and increasing brand recognition in the market. Through a creative and innovative design approach, this mascot will become a visual element that is not only attractive, but also reflects a strong and memorable brand.

Abstract

Forest Smoothie faces challenges in increasing interest in cooperation with potential business partners. This research aims to design a Business Profile Video that can attract attention and increase cooperation interest in a Business-to-Business (B2B) context. The method used in this research is the pipeline method, which includes pre-production, production, and post-production stages. In the pre-production stage, needs analysis and video concept planning were conducted. The production stage involved shooting and audio recording, while the post-production stage included video editing and adding graphic elements. The results showed that the designed Business Profile Video was effective in conveying the company's message, increasing brand awareness, and attracting cooperation interest from potential business partners. Evaluation was conducted through a questionnaire that showed positive responses from respondents regarding message clarity, visual appeal, and increased interest in cooperating with Forest Smoothie.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi pada pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Desa Beleka, Kecamatan Praya Timur, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, melalui penerapan manajemen operasional sederhana. Berdasarkan observasi awal, sebagian besar pelaku UMKM di desa ini menghadapi tantangan dalam mengelola proses produksi secara efektif, mulai dari pengaturan alur kerja, penggunaan waktu, hingga manajemen bahan baku. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan partisipatif, pendampingan teknis, serta penerapan alat bantu operasional seperti standar operasional prosedur (SOP) produksi, pencatatan waktu kerja, dan sistem kontrol persediaan sederhana. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan adanya perbaikan signifikan dalam efisiensi produksi, di antaranya penurunan waktu proses hingga 25%, pengurangan limbah bahan baku, serta peningkatan kapasitas produksi harian. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan manajemen operasional yang sederhana namun kontekstual dapat memberikan dampak nyata terhadap peningkatan produktivitas dan daya saing UMKM desa. Model ini diharapkan dapat direplikasi pada desa lain dengan kondisi serupa di wilayah Lombok dan sekitarnya.

Abstract

Digital painting merupakan salah satu kekaryaan baru dalam seni rupa dimana seniman melukis menggunakan perangkat digital seperti handphone, tablet, laptop atau komputer. Metode ini lumayan banyak digunakan dalam membuat sebuah karya dan desain. Salah satu kelebihan digital painting adalah seniman dapat membatalkan kesalahan pengerjaan tanpa harus mengganti media pengerjaannya. Salah satu software yang dapat digunakan dalam proses membuat digital painting adalah medibang paint. Medibang paint adalah salah satu aplikasi yang cukup terkenal di kalangan seniman digital. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui software medibang paint serta jenis tools yang ada didalamnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan memanfaatkan teknik dokumentasi. Sumber data diperoleh dari software Medibang paint sebagai sumber primer, dan penelusuran kepustakaan sebagai sumber sekunder. Hasilnya adalah medibang paint adalah software melukis secara digital yang didalam terdapat berbagai tool-tool. Kesimpulannya adalah Medibang Paint sebagai software yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pembuatan Digital Painting dengan pemanfaatan tool-tool yang tersedia dalam interfacenya dimana software ini dapat dipasang di berbagai gadget untuk memudahkan pengguna mengaksesnya.

Abstract

Kondisi Sekolah Menengah Pertama Katolik (SMPK Kesuma) dalam pandemic covid-19 melumpuhkan kegiatan karya wisata yang diprogramkan pihak sekolah tiap tahunnya. Dengan melonjaknya kasus covid-19 di Mataram, maka pihak sekolah mengganti kegiatan karya wisata tersebut dengan pelatihan desain grafis. Pelatihan desain grafis bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan bakat dan minat peserta didik dalam menghadapi perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan teknologi dan seni di era sekrang ini. Metode pelaksanaan pedampingan ini dilakukan secara  klasikal dan  praktik desain grafis dengan Langkah-langkah seperti: (a) Simulasi; (b) Tutorial; (c) Latihan Terbimbing. Kegiatan ini mengahsilkan karya poster promosi makanan khas Lombok. karya poster yang dibuat peserta didik menjadi penilaian program karya wisata.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adopt cloud-based operation management systems. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of cloud technology implementation in supporting the operational activities of digital-based MSMEs, especially in the aspects of work efficiency, decision making, and adaptation to market changes. The method used is a qualitative approach with case studies on several MSMEs that have implemented cloud systems in their operational management. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation of operational activities. The results show that the use of cloud-based systems has a positive impact on increasing operational efficiency, data transparency, and flexibility in resource management. In addition, MSMEs that utilize this technology tend to be more adaptive to market dynamics and faster in responding to customer needs. However, there are also some challenges, such as limited digital literacy and dependence on a stable internet connection. In conclusion, cloud-based operation management is an effective solution for digital-based MSMEs, although a sustainable mentoring and training strategy is needed for optimal and sustainable implementation

Abstract

Desain kampanye merek memainkan peran strategis dalam membentuk persepsi konsumen terhadap suatu produk atau layanan. Penelitian ini membahas pentingnya elemen visual dan naratif dalam kampanye merek sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan kesadaran merek (brand awareness) sekaligus mendorong loyalitas konsumen. Dalam lanskap persaingan pasar yang semakin kompetitif, kampanye yang dirancang secara efektif tidak hanya menarik perhatian, tetapi juga membangun keterikatan emosional dengan audiens. Studi ini mengkaji berbagai pendekatan desain kampanye, mulai dari identitas visual, pesan komunikasi, hingga konsistensi merek di berbagai platform. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa desain yang kuat dan kohesif dapat memperkuat citra merek, mempermudah konsumen dalam mengenali merek, serta menumbuhkan kepercayaan jangka panjang. Selain itu, keterlibatan konsumen dalam kampanye interaktif terbukti meningkatkan rasa kepemilikan dan kedekatan terhadap merek. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa desain bukan sekadar aspek estetika, melainkan fondasi utama dalam strategi pemasaran modern. Dengan demikian, pemahaman yang mendalam tentang desain kampanye merek menjadi kunci dalam menciptakan hubungan yang berkelanjutan antara merek dan konsumen.
